1321  Economy / Economics / Re: Paypal Drops Pornhub Support, Pornhub Is Now Exploring Cryptocurrency Options on: November 18, 2019, 06:48:16 AM

Bitcoin HODLers might find this interesting.

Quote
A spokesperson for Pornhub told Motherboard: "Decisions like that of PayPal and other major companies do nothing but harm efforts to end discrimination and stigma towards sex workers. While we still have several payment methods for our models available, we will continue to add more sex worker friendly ones and explore cryptocurrency options in the near future."

Which coin would fit pornhub's business model the best?
Indeed, this news is very interesting only, I repeat, only because it was a bizarre adoption Roll Eyes. This helps the Paypal users community (and maybe crypto community soon) to grow definitely but if it causes greater damage in return then I'm passed. Honestly, this is very alarming because their company seems like expanding their arms for us to have their services being offered Sad. Why it looks like "bad" things like this are getting normal in today's modern society. Maybe some of you will rebut that "Business is business", "Grow the f*ck up! Be liberated" etc. etc. My answer would be thanks but no thanks, I admit to myself that I fail to resist the temptation of lust sometimes but I still don't have the guts to treat it as a way of living.
1322  Other / Meta / Re: LoyceV's complete List of all Bitcointalk usernames. on: November 18, 2019, 03:39:32 AM
I'm just curious, did you manually listed all the accounts with other info and made a .txt format of it?
Lol no, it was just one line of code (and a very long wait).
Hahaha, I see Grin. Sorry if I don't have backgrounds when it comes to IT stuff, I just took a guess.

I think only few will use this
I think so too. But it's there for whoever has a use for it.
Yeah, it's better to had the most possible options for us to get rid of those "cancer cells" a lot easier.
1323  Other / Meta / Re: LoyceV's complete List of all Bitcointalk usernames. on: November 17, 2019, 05:02:10 PM
I'm just curious, did you manually listed all the accounts with other info and made a .txt format of it? If your answer is yes then absolutely wow Shocked! Where on earth did you find the perseverance to do it?

Anyway, you're right, this could be helpful on finding spam accounts but honestly I think only few will use this because 1) there's a file need to be downloaded, members tend to not spend even a small amount of data for such thing; and 2) "Reporting Spammers, Sh*tposters, Scammers etc." type of threads are enough already. Don't get me wrong your work is amazing but those are my negative insights.
1324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 17, 2019, 03:02:18 PM
Carmelo Anthony is finally picked up by a team! Portland Blazers actually picked up Carmelo Anthony for a non-guaranteed minimum and it is awesome that we will get to see Carmelo on the floor once again.
It was great to see him in a sense that he still continue his career, but looking forward in making great plays? Nah, his prime days are passed already so he should retire by now. Anyway, still congrats to him because no doubt he can add up to strengthen the force of Portland (this is better than to have nothing Grin) especially that they are now 5-8. Let's see if Anthony can make miracle things Cheesy.
The bad news (AGAIN) for the supporters of Warriors, because they couldn't see D'Angelo Russell play until the end of November because he had suffered a thumb injury. The team announced today that D'Lo has undergone an MRI and as a result, he experienced a Sprained Thumb, during the match against the Boston Celtics.
GWS again and again Cry
What a series of unfortunate events! No one can lead their team by now Sad. Thus, I will understand if they now feel hopeless and start to concede. Well, not bad at all, at least they already prove something in the NBA. It's okay if they will lose this time, it's not the end of the world tho.
1325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: November 17, 2019, 12:09:33 AM
However, I agree that Souza has multiple injuries and old as hell and very slow and Blachowicz can take advantage of that. So I give Blachowicz the advantage as well, either by KO/TKO.
I'll go with the opposite. I believe that Souza still in good shape, had a good stamina and don't have any problems regarding about standing for whole 5 rounds. But Nah such thing is very rare in the Light Heavyweights anyways, what matters here is how hard puncher you are and how strong your chin is. With that being said, Jacare can definitely survive in his new division. He is not a glass chin tho Grin. I'll go with Jacare via KO Smiley.
1326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: November 16, 2019, 10:52:21 AM
The reason i am giving Blachowicz the advantage is because Souza is coming off a loss to Jack Hermansson and his age and he is battle tested and have multiple injuries and he is moving up a division,
Whoah! I didn't notice it. Jacare is now a Light Heavyweight contender for real Shocked. I forgot that he originally came from the Middleweight division lol. Anyway, I agree to you somehow but I honestly disregard his new weight class among the disadvantages we can think of. Here's the simple logic, Jacare and his trainers won't decide to go in the higher division in the first place if he is not comfortable with it, right? Hmm facing adjustments are inevitable of course but I'm confident he could used to it. The bottomline, I'm not bothered for him moving but his age does Grin.
1327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MMA Info and Predictions - Bellator, KSW, PFL... on: November 16, 2019, 12:12:10 AM
I don't watch fights outside UFC and One FC.
Me too, so I will be glad if OP will add ONE FC as well Smiley. Aside from those two, the last thing I'm familiar with is Bellator, I watch it sometimes especially when Venom got a fight (for me he is the counterpart of the legendary Anderson Silva in UFC). *sigh I still remember how he lost in his last fight against Douglas Lima Grin lmao.
1328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [What IF] Part 5 on: November 15, 2019, 02:10:12 PM
what if you suddenly see a fellow gambler that has been winning continuously (example Poker)  and it seems like he's unbeatable on that game, would you care to join him so you could also be winning? Or would you like to beat the guy on his game?
What? How can you also be able to win if you joined a hustler in the table? In poker, all is your opponent. Hmm, maybe I just don't understand what you really mean. Anyway, in such cases like this l will definitely stop for a while because I knew he was a threat to my money Grin. If he was my friend and do not play however giving real time advice to me on what I should do or not then probably that's the time I play with no hesitations. I will never treat my friend a 'friend' if he is playing along with me because everyone is your opponent when it comes to fight for money.
1329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Central Bank Cryptocurrencies Are Pointless, Says Ex-Federal Reserve Chairman on: November 14, 2019, 10:40:45 PM
He is right as crypto and blockchain tech is all about decentralization, borderless and something that gives user the control without any authority controlling it, so when central banks or governments will launch any form of coin they will be fully controlled and tracked which goes against the basics of cryto and blockchain tech.
Indeed. For me, their form is the only thing that changed (from paper→digital asset), nothing more nothing less. So if you will scrutinize the whole scenario, it remains as a money backed by the government. Thus, I don't have any interests to use thse. Anyway, I wonder why they're now doing this? Hmm, most probably they realized that crypto or bitcoin to be specific is definitely a pain in their ass and they can't do to anything to prohibit us using it that's why they're trying to make an imitation hahaha. Uh uh uh, almost but not quite Grin.
1330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: November 14, 2019, 04:58:44 AM
Nick Diaz did opened up on a possible return to MMA. He is old at 36 but he knows he can cashout millions due to him and his brother's popularity. Dana White is fucking UFC fighters with low payments compared to boxing stars where viewership is nearly at par.
The main fighters might not be earning the amount like Floyd Mayweather but i doubt none of the boxers will be earning that kind of money and if you look at the rest of the fighters in a boxing event none of the fighters will be getting paid like they get in the UFC, so the comparison is not meaningful.
Not just Floyd Mayweather. There are too many high paid boxers out there that UFC superstars can't match in terms of purses. Saul Alvarez, Manny Pacquiao, Anthony Joshua, Vassily Lomachencko, etc. Some of them are not even world champions. I guess even the likes of Derek Chisora and 21 year old prospect Ryan Garcia are more expensive than the current active UFC superstars.
That's because boxing got higher viewers/watchers than MMA which also means higher revenue at the same time ~ change my mind. It so happens maybe because world boxing championships are first founded compare to MMA championships (I believe so, tho I'm not really sure about this) thus they now have more supporters than MMA. Another factor to be considered is the tehnicality, Boxing could be understand even by a grade school student while MMA is way more complex than that. Do you think every people knows what a Kimura is? Of course not, so they tend to watch boxing oftenly than MMA. I hope you can get my point Cheesy.
1331  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: November 13, 2019, 11:19:48 PM
I agree with that, Lakers without Davis is not as bad as the Warriors without Thompson and Curry because the Lakers team are having a good season and they have the King to lead them.
Good luck, it has to be an easy win for the Lakers although they are in a b2b games and still playing on the road.

Warriors are just not as exciting as before, DLO can't get it done here, believe me.
I look on their standings yesterday and I was shocked for real Shocked. And honestly, I didn't expect that their current situation was severe already. 2-9! And tonight they'll face the Rank 1?! Well, good luck Roll Eyes. This is not the GSW I used to know and sad ro say but I guess this don't yet come to an end. The all time favorite team before is now having a crisis, this is the time where you can see the real fans and the bandwagons Grin.
1332  Other / Meta / Re: Do we need at least one merit source per local board section? on: November 13, 2019, 11:19:37 AM
Through this, a merit source per local board section might be a solution to encourage every member of their respective nation to effectively share their thoughts and ideas. Thus, providing them with merits not just from merit sources will encourage them to continue what they're doing and can make our forum better to have topics with not just quality content, but with a structured and well-organized message construction.
For me, aiming to make quality posts for the sake of getting merits is not a totally bad but also not very good mindset because what it seems to me is that you are only making good posts so you can get greater chance to be accepted on signature/bounty campaigns. Here's the thing, if you really love staying here then merits were just a bonus — if you love to share and do care for other, you can do it even without an exchange.
1333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Disney plus+ service begins today. Do you think if they accept a crypto on: November 13, 2019, 05:30:36 AM
Wow! The level of competetion arises. I think they'll be leading and able to defeat Netflix, FOX + in no time because they got a huge collection of movies ~ ranging from movies with wholesome content like animations to those which are only suited for adult audience like Pirates of the Caribbean series (my favorite <3) and Marvel.

Regarding to your question, yeah it could help them to reach more people since they will be able to get sales even from the crypto community worldwide. I know we are small compare to the rest of the population but "every drop counts" right? Especially when it comes to money talks because even a cent have a value Cheesy
1334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 12, 2019, 11:46:45 PM
Ginebra and SMB will both try to extend their journey it's a game of the coaches to bring the good and effective chemistry between players that will be playing inside the court. This twice to beat advantage of ginebra will be tough since they are also a good competitive team to beat from this league. They also have the same experienced and the fans who loves to support them will be an additional boost.
Indeed. Once all the NSD fans inside the stadium chant "Ginebra! Ginebra!", expect that the opposing tram are now confused which lead to ball errors Grin. In all fairness, SMB also got a fanbase but they're still few and can be dominated by the Ginebra fans Cheesy.

They have twice to beat advantage, their chance of getting eliminated become lesser so I hope that they can already pull this off because if not how ironic for them to be called the 'Kings'
1335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and tax in your countries on: November 12, 2019, 02:39:24 PM
In the Philippines were I currently live in doesn't collect taxes on crypto at all, I don't know if this continues on or it will be changed when the price of bitcoin will rise maybe. As of now Filipinos are enjoying bitcoin as much as they could. If you are a tourist and wants to use bitcoin as a payment you could hard see any store accepting it, maybe another reason the government did not put taxes is because there are only few users, and those users are not businesses and for self purposes only.
Shhh, be quiet now. Maybe someone on BSP lurking inside here, might get an idea and finally put taxes oin our crypto income Grin. But kidding aside, having no taxes is not purely considered a good thing based on my perspective. Yeah! It was good in a sense that we can enjoy all of our income with no deductions but in the bad side, like what you've said, this implicates that our community is not lively — so small that we can't even get the attention of our own government. I mean, there's no significant improvement, we are low key and very far from mainstream Sad.
1336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 12, 2019, 11:54:25 AM
By mere looking at the standings, we could easily say that SMB is not in a good position right now. Having a twice to beat disadvantage against a team where they always having a hard time defeating (Ginebra) is a tough hill climb and for me this is like a championship game for SMB. If they could overcome this hurdle, SMB will be the Governor's Cup champion and a grand slam winner, that's my fearless prediction.
We don't know just yet until we see the real outcome. At the end of the day, SMB's roster is pretty solid and they already have so much experiences in this kind of situations. If Ginebra will not be careful then SMB might bounce back. BUT I hope your fearless forecast will not do come true because it makes me feel sad to see Ginebra got early trip to Bora lol Grin.
1337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction at its Worst! on: November 12, 2019, 04:30:12 AM
This case made me remember another news that shocked the country and beyond more than a couple of years ago. This incident involved another gambling addict who tried to burn down the casino inside Resorts World Manila. The man entered the casino fully armed and attempted to steal chips. It went awry and much worse from there, and ended up burning himself alive. The gambling addiction of the perpetrator had reached its worst end after initially causing separation from his family, selling of properties including his home and car, incurring huge debts, and so on. The incident claimed dozens of lives.[2]
Ah, I knew this one after I heard it in the news few years ago. Actually it made me remember it's counterpart, the Las Vegas shooting. Though Stephen Paddock's (the main suspect in this incident) motive is still unknown or let's say the police authorities don't make clear conclusions yet, he was a gambler after all. Maybe anything regarding this matter could be one of the factors convinced him to do such bloody crime, who knows?
I want to ask my fellow gamblers here, what is the worst thing you have done for your gambling hobby or habit? Have you come to the point of getting addicted to it and how did you counter it?
Luckily, my mind is still working properly hahaha Grin. I can say that I never did something horrible until now just because of gambling and I wish it will be the same. My secret? I don't actually know, mabe because of being a close-fisted person when it comes to spending Cheesy.
1338  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you use FB's Libra? on: November 12, 2019, 03:08:06 AM
A big NO. I'm satisfiefld with their social media website/app and already contented with it alone. Bitcoin is already enough for me, I don't think I need to switch into a copycat lol jk Grin. Honestly, one of the main factors I consider why I refuse to use it is due to privacy concerns. FB already knew a part of my whole identity and I don't want that my money and all the transactions got the same fate.
1339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think that cryptos such as Bitcoin would be mainstream? on: November 11, 2019, 10:42:25 PM
Sure, why not? I tell you frankly that at this moment, the possibility of world crypto adoption is still very small but you don't know maybe after 10, 50 or 100 yrs. futher this dream of ours will finally do come true. Who anticipated that FB will become very successful during back on its pioneer days where Friendster is at its prime? See? As long as Bitcoin or the crypto community in general is moving forward then nothing is impossible Smiley.
1340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Andy Ruiz vs Anthony Joshua II on: November 11, 2019, 11:07:04 AM
@Baofeng. He will disprove the Mexican. Andy's new tacoless diet might be a mistake hehe. He might be faster, however, he might lose some of his power.
Tacoless diet, you got me there Grin lmao. I agree but if the weight he is aiming still meets the required weight then I don't see anything to worry about. Maybe Team Ruiz got a new strategy to cope the size disadvantage.
Surely this is a fun fight to watch, lets just hope it will last longer before anyone will be knock out.
I do hope also. I'm no longer entertained by one hit KOs. Yeah there was a sudden hype which you can feel but I now prefer more of a "last man standing" kind of fight because it's more entertaining. However,  speaking about heavyweights, short term fights usually happen since they are all hard punchers Cheesy.
