2261  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading skills on: September 05, 2021, 06:09:15 PM
Any strategy being used with out stop loss will fail in future trades. This means stop loss use is a very good strategy.

Don't follow the 10% stop loss and something it's ridiculous also once you enter your trade don't do anything, try to wait if your trade will hit target profit or stop loss and lastly don't let your emotion affect your trading.
No I don't wait all the time for my stop loss to hit. I do admit that I have made a wrong entering order when I see it and in those cases, I don't wait for the market to eat up my money because I want to wait for stop loss to be professional. So what I do in such cases is that I just exit immediately especially if I'm already losing. You can know this with the candlestick and trading with candlestick is a strategy of its own.
Stop loss is definitely something you have to use if you are a day trader or a short term trader. However if you are like me and have a long term approach to investment then you should not use it at all. I was holding my coins when they were 64k and was holding them when they were 29k and now holding them at 50k, at what should I sold? I mean if I was smart enough to sell at 60k and buy at 30k and sell at 50k again to make the maximum profit, then I wouldn't be a long term investor, I would have traded and be a billionaire now.

However since I am not that smart to know when to buy and when to sell, I hold it long term and that always ends up with happy results for me. This is why I suggest not doing a stop loss if you are not great at trading, buy something, sell it when you have "enough" profit, and if it goes down, just wait for it to go back up.
2262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: September 05, 2021, 04:39:41 PM
I've seen a lot of Esports game like CSGO, DOTA 2 and LOL but based on the sports betting website on where I play there is such thing as other games like Mortal Combat and other typical type of games I was just curious does some people place bet on this kind of games or only in the major games like Counter Strike, Dota 2, League of Legends only?
First thing, I hope while you are promoting a scam for a few bucks, you don't actually use that website.

Secondly, I think most people bet on LOL, DOTA2, CSGO and now days Valorant and Rocket League. It all comes down to how events are being organized as well. If there is a proper structure for leagues and tournaments to take place, the bookmakers will provide odds with confidence and even accept good amounts on mediocre events.

I bet a lot on DOTA2 and so many new teams are coming up now days while earlier it was all about OG, Alliance, Team secret, etc.
2263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: September 05, 2021, 12:37:25 PM
Honestly, it is obvious that we should not be really shocked if Max ends up winning this race, he is having a great season and fighting against Lewis right now, and this would be one of the best chances he gets to win the race.

If Lewis doesn't crash Max out then we will definitely see a big race and Max will not let go, this is his home race. Do not be mistaken, just because it is his home race doesn't mean that he will win, that is not the reason, dude is already having a great season and won so many races and that is the reason why I believe that he will win this race as well, Gasly can't end up winning France races, so it is not about home track advantage it is about Max already being great and fighting it with Lewis and now that they are at Netherlands that should give a slight advantage to already title fighting racer. Lets hope he gets it (wagered on him).
2264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do we see 5k Eth price by end of the month on: September 05, 2021, 07:22:44 AM
what do you think by the sudden move of the Ethereum price not even determining the gas price so high

all day high $3,836.87 and the low $3,540

Do we see 5k Eth price by end of the week or month?
It is looking amazing, the new increase allowed it to go to a point it hasn't been in a while because it doesn't drop as much as others do. I mean that is what bitcoin did on the 2018 fall, many went down as high as 90%+ while bitcoin was mostly just 60-70% most of the time and whatever else was very quick to recover as well.

So, long story short we are in a situation where we really need to realize ETH may soon become the biggest currency there is, I always said that it will become high and it already did and I am saying that it will become higher as well. What people do not realize is that when crypto is not as hyped as right now, there is no need for ETH since people do not use it. However when there is a hype on crypto, people not only invest into ETH, but they also use it, which means there is more and more buying going on making it very valuable.
2265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is the Polygon Crypto Price Prediction in 2022?? on: September 04, 2021, 08:56:25 PM
The MATIC token has acquired 147,457 holders (Market cap: $6.7 billion USD) (08/2021). Top 500 holding addresses keep 97.50% of the current circulation supply.

In fact over 70% of token distribution are locked in Polygon contracts, with a fraction of MATIC burnt gradually through time.

🔥 Will it reach $50 billion USD in Market Cap by the end of 2022?
I can't say what the bottom would be or what the price will be in the short term, however I can say that the long term looks like a 6x at the very best case, that would put it somewhere along the XRP levels and by looking at how it is already a very known and liked coin I wouldn't be shocked of it being top 5-6 coin in the future.

Of course this means that if we end up with a big increase in the price of everything else then we would also end up with polygon increasing as well, it is around 60-70 billion dollars market cap to be in top 5-6 and if there is a bull run and they become 100 billion? Then it means polygon could go 10x and reach to 90-100 billion level as well, if there is a fall and top 5-6 becomes 40-50 billion, then polygon could go there at most. So basically it is a top 5-6 coin and the price should be whatever that means.
2266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Tether crash to $0? on: September 04, 2021, 08:25:09 PM
Back in 2017, the topic of stablecoins like Tether completely crashing to $0. Is Tether still safe to hold your funds on?
Honestly Tether company never felt too secure for me, I always felt that they were a bit of a shady company and that is why I never really liked them all that much, personally they are definitely not a great company and all they are doing right now is getting money from people and using that money to earn more money, what else are they providing?

They literally make profit from our money and in return they gave everyone something that in reality doesn't worth anything at all and we all agreed that it does worth 1$ each, it is us that decided that because if we decide to sell it all today then they wouldn't be able to cover it all, not all of their money is in liquid which means they wouldn't be able to pay everyone and price would crash. So, that means they literally convinced us that worthless thing worths $1 and took advantage of all those billions of dollars.
2267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Afghanistan replace afghan currency with Bitcoin? on: September 04, 2021, 06:55:42 PM
Bitcoin may gain legitimacy in the country to recover from the economic crisis after the country was occupied by the Taliban. Moreover, the economic source of the Taliban must come from another border country. So for their economic prosperity, the government of the country is more focused on legalizing bitcoin. You can know all the details through the video link below.
I don’t think they can replace the Afghanistan currency with Bitcoin. But I know for sure that the people can decide to start making use of Bitcoin. So it’s up to them to make that decision for themselves, As for changing the currency, I don’t really know if that is going to be possible, so I wouldn’t tell you it is. They can decide to declare Bitcoin a legal tender just like El Salvador.

But I do have a question: will making Bitcoin a currency in Afghanistan change their situation? I don’t think the answer to that question is yes. We all know how the situation is in that country, so Bitcoin will be the last thing on their mind. Countries like that what they need is a serious help and I really hope they get that help that they need. That is why war is a very bad thing. I’m more of a this should make Bitcoin in currency, not everyone will have the money to invest in it.
2268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are You Agree With Michael Saylor? on: September 04, 2021, 06:06:02 PM
Michael Saylor Tweeted "Bitcoin is a cyber fire". Are you Agree with that?

Um, any tweet that is in support of Bitcoin I’m always in support of that.
Unless what he is saying is against Bitcoin. And moreover I don’t really know much about this Michael Saylor, though I have heard about him once.  these days there are people who do things just to get attention.

And topics like Bitcoin has been one of those areas that has been trending as of recent, so a lot of them have decided to be using Bitcoin to get their attention, either the right way or the wrong way. But those who said the wrong things, luckily it can no longer affect Bitcoin, because we have gotten to an extent where Bitcoin can’t be stopped.
2269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker casino but need KYC, is this really necessary? on: September 04, 2021, 02:48:08 PM
Whether a casino is "good" or "bad" is a separate matter really, the issue here is that your details are directly linked into an online database of the casino. Once that certain casino causes a leak or is hacked, no matter how "good" the casino is, your personal details would still be leaked nonetheless. It's a small possibility yes, but a possibility nonetheless. That's only a small part though, since there are still casinos that could leak said data.
If they are good or bad plays a bigger role when you are giving your KYC as well. Think about it this way, you are already forced to give your KYC, so you can decline and move to another place and that would be the end of it, however if you decide to stay would you rather do it for a casino that looks shady and may get "hacked" and take everyone's money and goes blank? Or would you rather do it for a place like stake that is true to their word for nearly a decade now?

It is not even about not wanting to be scammed, it is about my KYC being at the hands of a place that is shady, because shady casinos could scam your money but they could also use your KYC or even sell your KYC as well, so that is why it is always a lot worse for a bad place to have your information, which I believe is the difference between a bad casino and a good casino having your information.
2270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: September 03, 2021, 08:21:50 PM
~
It was a great win for Sri Lanka. We have seen the dominance of South African batsmen in the entire match. As the first 4 batsmen of South Africa have performed, this match should have been easily won by South Africa. They have failed to perform well and have been defeated. They should be more focused on batting.
South Africa is not known to play spinners that well and still they were able to give a good fight. They have a new team and it is difficult to conquer the spin wickets and even when they had great players they usually struggled in spin wickets. Sri Lanka is back in the winning column against South Africa and i am more interested to see how they perform in T20.
It's the same story on turning pitches for most touring teams. I haven't watched many of these T20 and ODIs recently but I always check scores and I saw Bangladesh recently won against NZ at home and even dominated Australia on turning pitches.

People calling these spinning tracks as rank turners also need to realize that fast bowling isn't superior to spin. If Asian teams struggle against pace then not sure why touring teams grade spinning pitches as bad or poor.

I would love to see more cricket played at some neutral venues that don't assist any particular bowling. Maybe West Indian pitches (where CPL happens) are good examples of such pitches.
2271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which crypto and NFT project do you invest in in Sept.???  on: September 03, 2021, 07:10:27 PM
In my experience, Sept. is the start of a new bull cycle. Which crypto and NFT project do you invest in in Sept.?
Let's share the coins and NFT project you hold. Let's go to the moon together.
Anything but Axie Infinity is just a bit of a surprise at this point, not saying that it will not be possible for others to go up, but I do not think that NFT gaming is anything but axie and brand new testing to see if they could be next axie and failing. There are so many games that have a lot less volume and a lot less player base and a lot more volatile price whereas Axie is staying strong and not getting broken by the constant pressure of creating more and more.

There are way too many people who want to play so the excess amount getting breeded do not cause the price to fall down too much. This could become a problem in the future because when there is 3000 axies and you breed them even if all of them is breeded the chances are new 1500 ones, whereas if you have 300k then suddenly you get 150k more, and that is why eventually Axie may fall as well but not looking like it will be September.
2272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mining is not profitable enough! on: September 03, 2021, 06:42:38 PM
The current block reward is ~300.000USD
Each block contains ~2800 transactions on average.
So far so good. That means that currently each confirmed transaction
is worth over $100. Later when there will be no block
Reward its expected that miners are paid by transaction fee.
But there is no way people are gonna pay 100$ Worth of btc per transaction.

Let’s be realistic and say people will pay 2$ per transaction. This is only 2% of the
reward of the current mining system.
Yes, for now transaction fees are not enough, and moreover I don’t think there is any payment method where you will have to be something more than for a little transactions, unless for huge amount of transaction. For now the way that miners can be making their profit is through the reward they receive from mining and the transactions fees they are getting can be a bonus.

By the time all the bitcoins are mined, which is going to be a very long time, there will be a solution to how miners are going to profit from the market. And by the way, by then there will be lots of transactions on the blockchain, and maybe the mining wouldn’t be as difficult and energy-wasting as it is now.
2273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: September 03, 2021, 05:29:41 PM
I personally don't really believe with Ansu Fati, even though Fati is a dropout from La Masia, like Messi but they shouldn't have high hopes for him either. I agree with the words "burdened", because currently Fati is still suffering from injuries and at his young age I personally would not have too much hope for him. Because Messi himself initially took time and went through many seasons to finally be trusted to wear the number 10, if Fati who is basically young and still needs more playing hours then saying he is a substitute for Messi is not something that is right and I'm afraid it will only make a blunder.
I don't believe in Ansu Fati too. He has played 31 matches for Barcelona in La Liga. And he has scored 11 goals in 31 matches. I don't think he should have been given the number 10 jersey right now. This jersey should have been given to him after making him more experienced. In at least one season, Barcelona could have kept the number 10 jersey off someone in honor of Messi.
It is 100% guaranteed that they did it to show Messi how they do not care that he left. This is typical move of someone who just got out of relationship, like sharing pictures outside having fun and so forth so that your ex could see you having fun. They gave Ansu Fati number 10 not because they believe in him neither, you are acting as if they believe Ansu will be amazing, they do not believe that at all, they would give the number 10 to me if they could just because they want to tell Messi that number 10 is not special and already distributed to someone else, they want to make sure Messi sees it and feels bad about it.

But, I also do not pity Messi neither, look at Barcelona they got rid of so much money, if Messi took €1 salary or even 10 million, then they would have kept him, but Messi wanted more and more which is why it is obvious that he deserves his number 10 to be given to anyone.
2274  Economy / Economics / Re: Bullish or nuts? Fidelity predicts $100M bitcoin in 2035 on: September 03, 2021, 06:11:21 AM
I don't know what to think anymore, until not too long ago, professional investors either dismissed Bitcoin or said it was a scam, a ponzi scheme etc. Now it seems that they are changing their minds Saylor's style. In the case of Fidelity, it's not that they have changed their mind, as they started mining in 2014, but they have just come off the hook with a prediction that a couple of years ago would have seemed too crazy to us:
We can’t say for sure, but with time we will get to know whether it will reach that or not. But anyways, that is a very long time, so I am not bothering myself what’s going to happen then, for now let’s think of the future that’s nearest before we talk about what’s going to happen in so many years.

I can’t tell you for sure where we are really heading with this, but I know very well that companies like this are fond of over expectation, they always say things that are impossible to happen at a particular time. Although I am not saying it’s not possible, but happening at that time? I can’t really believe it.
2275  Economy / Economics / Re: What could make a hacker return stolen $600m crypto on: September 02, 2021, 09:18:27 PM
Maybe he returned it because he cannot withdraw it anyways, his address were flagged already in all exchanges that's why he doesn't have the choice but to return it.  Grin He said he just did it to test the security protocol but I would say he just bluffing and just run out of place because for sure he will be caught eventually.
But he always has a choice to just let it float in the wallet instead, he made an effort to give it back. That's the twist.
If you are a hacker and you are cornered you will just let it go and move on. Maybe come back years after and try if you can salvage something.
IMO, he really wants to prove something. Who knows if he is really part of their team before as white hat hackers but was kicked out and now he tried to look for the flaw and attack it as means of revenge or just so they could realize that he is a loss to their team.
I do agree that there was a proving point for sure, there is no doubt about that, if he was a truly a bad person all he had to do was do nothing, yeah sure maybe he can't spend the money but at least he could have simply hold it there and he would still be a bad person with a lot of money, he could have even spent it as in send it to some people in exchange of some services, or hell he could have done p2p in some places as well, would have taken a lot of time but if he could find people who are unaware of the situation he could have done that, or he could have used ATM machines that had these coins as well, not common but maybe there are some.

Long story short this is something that could have been done, I know it is not common but this guy turned out to be a good person for sure.
2276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people buying NFT on: September 02, 2021, 08:35:20 PM
I just wonder why people buying NFT artworks like cryptopunks. I am not against NFT and I love it. I actually own some NFT games accounts like CB, Axie, Dpets because I am earning from it.. But for NFT artworks can you tell me what is the benefits. And why some of the people buying it?
I understand that they see it as an investment and it is definitely something profitable to keep making money with something while also the price of it going up, but defi was like that as well and only a handful of places left after the hype is over. There were hundreds of pancakeswap copycats in the world and right now there are only like 5-10 good places in BSC while all others suck, so that means is maybe axie infinity could stay a bit relevant but all others may suck in the future.

I just do not know how long it will go, I can afford to get 3 axies and start fighting, I learned about it very well and I could pick great 3 axies for as cheap as possible as well, watched a lot of videos to learn about it. However that doesn't mean that I will do it, only because I have no idea if it will continue like this for a while or if it will start to suck in a month, no idea how long it will go.
2277  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: September 02, 2021, 07:10:45 PM
What's up with DS participating in this? We can still share the prizes if we hold out until the last day lol and 5mbtc is around $240 at the current rate so its kinda expensive, perhaps we might have less players compared with the last one. Well I'll opt-in this contest and check if it is worth to continue until the last day for atleast the first 15 days.
Apparently, some of us have misunderstood something, since in my understanding you have to place a bet of 5 mBTC every day for at least 70 days. As a result, there is a 50% chance of losing your bet, and if you are such an unlucky guy like me, you will have to lose 5 mBTC every day. That is why I said that it is desirable to have 0.5 bitcoin on the account, since 5 mBTC * 70 = 350 (+ 150 mBTC if the competition continues). And judging by the fact that the final date of December 31, the final amount will be even greater.
I would say that if you keep on gambling that much, eventually you will of course end up losing, but that's not really the big important part, as long as you believe that you could win the whole deal than you should definitely end up testing it out, and of course if you have the money for it as well.

Sometimes you end up losing just the bet and end up winning the competition and most people who join this one should be like that as well, do not consider about what you may lose along the way, focus on what you could win in the future. I would say that gambling this much could be too high for some people and the best bet is to not wager at all if you do not have the money for it, after all why should you lose all that money when you are already broke just to have a chance of bigger? If you can't win the bigger then you will just be losing, so start with big amount if you can afford to.
2278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL vs Staking, What is the best strategy? on: September 02, 2021, 06:24:33 PM
Staking is another way to earn passive income while holding your coin. You need to know that not all crypto that do staking. Some does do staking so you need to do appropriate research on cryptocurrency that conduct staking for there investing to earn while holding. Staking can also be dangerous cause if eventually the site got hacked, all coins will be lost leading to bad luck that's why we should not put all our eggs in one basket.
I stake coins within the Exodus wallet and seems pretty safe but I cannot recommend anyone else to do the same because while I have a small number of coins I am staking, I don't want people to stake huge amounts. You cannot stake bitcoins either in the exodus wallet so it doesn't matter too much for bitcoin investors. To me, the logic is simple. If you have a mammoth amount of holdings, just hold them tight. If you have small amounts and not looking for future value, just stake them and earn some free extra coins.
2279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Addict on: September 02, 2021, 05:03:27 AM
Whenever I close my eyes, I see the bitcoin logo and price just like the way it is on my device at first I thought it was normal and will fade away with time but it has persisted to this very moment while I was discussing with my other Bitcoin lovers they told me that now an addict.
Addiction isn't the correct word for this, I think you are just obsessed with Bitcoin and the price. It might be a consequence of thinking too much about Bitcoin and/or doing nothing else but checking the price and counting your coins. When I first accumulated 1 BTC a few years back, I felt the same problem. I didn't have the logo in front of me when I closed my eyes, but I was suffering from insomnia and would wake up late at night suddenly to check the price.

Maybe you should try and focus on other activities and distance yourself from the crypto world for a few days or a week. This happens with everyone at some point, so don't worry too much and it's nothing serious either. Students have the same problem during exams.
2280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Credit card bans introduced in Ireland. on: September 01, 2021, 06:14:17 PM
People from there can simply use their credit cards to buy cryptocurrencies and deposit them to a bookie that's supported in their country. That's just one way and for sure that gamblers there will find several ways to continue what they've been doing.
I think crypto gamblers are quite limited and if such a method is being exploited, there might be some action against such transactions as well. Actually, people can also deposit the money to skrill and Neteller and then gamble quite easily but I am sure there must be some rules on these transactions too. Maybe e-wallets transactions made by credit cards are not allowed to gamble as well.

At least on their government, they're showing that they care for those people that just kept on using their credit cards in gambling. There's two factor that's being done, stopped them from using their credit cards unwisely and controls them to become addicted.
I don't understand why they can't impose a ban on gambling if they are actually worried about it. It's similar to government ads about how harmful the consumption of tobacco is but still allowing those to be sold in the market.

Either you wipe the problem or don't pretend to speak against it. I don't like these political moves, they earn a lot from casino taxes so they want the casinos to run but at the same time, they want to look good among their people.
