2281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC is dead. The plan is a shift to Bitcoin Cash. on: January 19, 2018, 08:26:10 PM
BCH fees are way lower than BTC. No one wants to pay that much for a transaction even if its lightening fast.
Lightning Network is something like 10000 times cheaper than BCash would be right now. And if BCash had the same usage as Bitcoin does its fees would be through the roof as well. If you think BCash is cheaper or in any way better you've eaten up some major lies.

How the fuck do exchanges even go insolvent?
2283  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Has anyone sold BTC won here in sig campaigns? how does tax work? on: January 19, 2018, 07:37:47 PM
If you buy Bitcoin with cash, you can no longer put it into the banking system, because if you do and you get caught, they will ask you where the money comes from, and as far as I know, if you can't prove it (if there is no receipt of any kind that would prove it was a transaction for legal money) then who knows what will happen, from a very high tax to total confiscation of funds, this is why I was worried about selling some of the coins which I mixed one time to test a mixer out when it was a new thing and I was curious... now im stuck with these coins and I can't use them to pay a house.. I regret so much mixing these damn coins but BTC was worth a lot less back then.

Just because they can't prove it, it doesn't mean you are ok to go, otherwise anyone sellind drugs for cash could argue the same and put the money in the bank.

Honestly, tax authorities don't care where it was derived from. They care that income taxes are being paid. The IRS is happy to see drug traffickers paying their taxes; consider Al Capone. The IRS's position was (and is) that illegally earned income is subject to income tax. Therefore, if you are cashing out Bitcoin, show a blockchain and paper trail back to your original purchase. Pay the appropriate capital gains. If you paid with cash, you paid with cash; it's not as if that's illegal.

If you received coins from a mixer, they are fungible. Swap them for some new outputs (from an exchange, for example) if you are so paranoid about criminality. You can still show the timeline of your possession to tax authorities. You sent coins you owned to the mixer, you received coins back. So what? Pay the taxes you owe when you realize the gains.....

You are making big claims with no clear proof. I don't know how the IRS is, but in other countries, you aren't going to get away with it. And I doubt you can be selling drugs on the street for cash, then put it all on the bank and buy a house, c'mon don't be delusional.

If you mix the coins, when you receive them back, you receive them from an huge mix of outputs... at this point, you can't prove how you acquired them. You sell them to an exchange.. so what, it can still be traced back into your wallet. Exchanges generate one deposit address, so it could be traced and then reach the point in which you cannot prove how these coins came into your wallet because you receive them through the mixed address originally. This is the problem that now I face with a decent amount of BTCs and I don't know what to do...

The only coins I could clearly prove that I received are from the signature campaigns.

And the coins that I deposited then withdrew in now dead exchanges are also a problem, since the exchanges are dead...

I don't know what the taxman will request specifically so I hope that if someone goes along with this posts their experience.
I don't see why the IRS would give a shit about where the money came from as long as it's taxed. There are other institutions that will be out to get you for illegal activities though.
2284  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 19, 2018, 07:36:08 PM
what...on earth...would that non-event have to do with anything??

People lose more faith in the established system and gain a little more faith in crypto, a possibility.
Government shutdowns are not a rare event at all, so I don't see why it would sway public opinion in such a way. If it was the first time the government has been shut down that could potentially be a possibility though.
2285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING DeepOnion is a SCAM, proof inside! on: January 19, 2018, 07:33:37 PM
DeepOnion is another bitconnect type of setup.

Can go high as it wants but will come crashing down. FACT

This is the most ridiculous statement of the whole thread - LoL. Perhaps you should make a little research on how a Ponzi scheme works. Bitconnect was a very obvious Ponzi scheme. If you want to call DeepOnion a Ponzi scheme, that's fine, there's a logic, but then you have to call a Ponzi scheme every single cryptocurrency out there. This is in fact the mainstream view on Bitcoin & C., that it's all just a Ponzi scheme.
BTC, unlike DO, never required people to buy BTC to get a split of the total supply from a central authority. So your comparison hinges. DO is the very definition of a ponzi, or at least it turned into one once they changed the rules to where you had to own DO in order to gain anything from the sig campaign (which has falsely been dubbed an airdrop). It's just as shady as BCC was and has an even more fanatical following due to all of the beggars shilling and lying for points.
2286  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 19, 2018, 07:31:06 PM
I wasn't talking about government regulations, I was referring to the possibility of a temporary US Federal Gov. shutdown that has been in the news lately.
Ah, I see. In that case I'm not sure why crypto would benefit from that. Doesn't really have any relevance that I could think of spontaneously.
2287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SONM • Supercomputer Organized by Network Mining on: January 19, 2018, 07:29:00 PM
Hitbtc:

Please mind the fee amount in the "Deposit" section while making ETH token deposit.

SNM SONM
Deposit - fixed fee:   -136.461918700000 SNM  ( 49.21 USD )
Withdraw - flat fee:   -48 SNM  ( 17.31 USD )
Is this real? That's pretty insane if so. Since when do you pay for deposits..?
2288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES | Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform | WEEKLY AIRDROPS !!! on: January 19, 2018, 07:28:12 PM

holding and lending this token for years weren't so much of a burden after seeing its price touched $16. its a wise decision to really buy more now that its dip. i think the price will gradually rise up again once this smart contract will then be ready. so when is the expected date for the smart contract to be ready?
Q1 2018, which means before the end of April.
2289  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 19, 2018, 07:26:05 PM
2 more days sideways and weŽll see a drop. Thats what happens most of the time when we go sideways after a dump :/
I don't think so

What do you base that on?

Do you guys think a government shutdown would be beneficial for the crypto markets right now?

If you're referring to China ban that's an old story. S.Korea ban? Does BTC give a damn?
Nope, it doesn't and it won't. After all, countries like Switzerland are embracing cryptos with open arms. As much as I can understand why a government would want to regulate or outright ban cryptos, it's almost certainly the wrong move from just about every perspective.
2290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC is dead. The plan is a shift to Bitcoin Cash. on: January 19, 2018, 07:23:55 PM
BTC may not recover, but instead money will flow back to the superior, original bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash. Buy bitcoins now for under $400 again! Watch for the BCC related conference coming up this week. Huge things ahead! Don't be in the dark on these developments!

So many levels of LOL in that post but I will only focus on one. The "original" bitcoin lol wtf even if you believe it was a better version of bitcoin don't go around claiming assinine stuff like this cmon that is pure ignorance dude! The real and original bitcoin will forever and always be Bitcoin Core  Cool.

LOL. and more LOL.  Grin

Again, bitcoin was tested when the market crashes but its slowly recovering now. I don't know about BCC though, Yes it has big blocks and faster transaction, however, more miners are still in bitcoin because its really profitable on their end. Everyone is trying to make money here, if BCC can't offer enough incentives for the miners, they will stick with Bitcoin.

Besides, I haven't seen BCC gain enough traction from the community. I guess we all know the people behind that project is questionable and cannot be trusted, in my opinion.

This thread makes me smile and laugh a lot and make my stomach hurt for laughing so much. Grin Thanks guys for the comedy commercial you made here so every people could laugh and not to be serious all the time.  Grin By the way Bitcoin is not dead and won't be dead even with the multiple market crashes that happens.  Cool
BCash on the other hand will be dead once LN rolls out. They'll lose their only viable angle for propaganda with that implementation.

2292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Masternode Coins ICOs? on: January 19, 2018, 06:30:44 PM
ICOs are just a sale of tokens by their creator. Some of them could be masternode coins, but that's not a requirement.
2293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Goodbye BitConnect... Hello Bitcoin Gold? on: January 19, 2018, 06:28:35 PM
While this trend will continue for some time, it's eventually bound to end (like BCC). At that point the valuations will briefly drop beneath the coin's fundamental value, creating further opportunities for rational investors. I just wish that we could get some statistics about the average ROIs and their distributions when that time comes. Too bad that data won't be obtainable.

My fiat is still ready for $6-8k.
2295  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 19, 2018, 06:22:13 PM
Also, the window of opportunity that jojo noted is a very real threat to Bitcoin's position at the very top. Competition is fierce and the market moves fast. All it takes is a superior coin and the right marketing/hype. Granted that's very difficult to pull off (as it would require resources well beyond what ICOs raise), but it's not something that is unthinkable.
2296  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 19, 2018, 06:20:05 PM
Even if Bitcoin never managed to become an efficient tool for remittance and retail it will still remain valuable and keep growing for at least as long as no other crypto replaces it as the default base pair in trading alts. This also means that it'll grow at least proportionally to the overall crypto market for the time being.
2297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟[ANN][ICO] Coinlancer.io CL - Freelancers Of The World Unite - ICO| 14th OCT🌟 on: January 19, 2018, 06:16:15 PM
most of cryptocurrency is down now,,
and the price of coinlancer is less than ICO price now,,
do you think this is a good time to buy ?

No it's not. CL controls more than 80% of the total coin supply. It's never a good time to buy this scam.

too bad if this project is scam,,
but i read this in coinlancer official website

Jan 17 2018
1. Current Circulating supply (CL) => 58,888,982
2. Team tokens => 15,000,000
3. Unsold tokens => 226,111,018
4. Bonus* => 11,777,797 (taken from team tokens)
5. Team tokens remaining => 3,222,203
6. Tokens to be locked => 229,333,221
7. Final Circulating supply => 70,666,779
*Bonus : We are allocating 11.77 million tokens as bonus (taken from team’s 15 million tokens). This bonus will be distributed among those who hold the CL tokens until the fully functional Coinlancer Product becomes live.

=> Announcement regarding the bonus distribution, steps to claim the bonus & product updates will be given soon.

how can the team control about 80% of total supply if we read in their statements ?
Tokens locked, eh?

https://etherscan.io/token/0xe81d72d14b1516e68ac3190a46c93302cc8ed60f

It's clear that they have access to these, otherwise they wouldn't have been able to draw from the address which currently holds the supposedly locked 229m tokens. Plus, even if they were locked, they wouldn't be locked forever, and once they became unlocked (if they aren't already which appears to be the case), they would control just over 76% of the total supply.

You can not rationally expect a team that has repeatedly lied not to dump such a massive amount of tokens while making up excuses.

There have been red flags all over this fraud since its very inception and they keep increasing.

This should be stickied and plastered across all ico pages for all to see. Excellent answer. Please all avoid this scam, I considered investing but used my brain. BTCMillionaire is spot on. Kudos
People like you are the reason why I still bother warning others despite the constant onslaught of greedy, dishonest and idiotic shills that every scam has.

If just one person that was on the fence stays safe it was worth the 30 seconds it takes to post something. Don't want genuine people to be turned away from crypto due to a bunch of greedy dweebs.

Don't just listen to other people on the internet. >90% in crypto are gamblers with no idea what they are doing or what to look out for. You don't want to end up with money in garbage like BitConnect.

As already mentioned, Binance isn't incorporated in China, so the PBoC crackdown is irrelevant to it.
