Useful (general) information of course, but why do you call these tips "secret trading tips"? I mean, all of these are essential basics that every investor/trader should be aware of before investing real money for the first time.

And I suspect that there are already countless threads on Bitcointalk on these general tips. At least, hardly anyone here is likely to have learned anything new. Too bad.

Learning first, trading later.

This sentence pretty much sums it up. Thanks for sharing these helpful links. The first really useful info. Thumbs up!  Smiley

2304  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase to Suspend Binance USD (BUSD) Trading on: March 01, 2023, 12:41:49 PM
This was kinda expected after everything that has happened lately with Paxos and BUSD. I mean, even CZ announced that Binance will simply have to move away from BUSD eventually so no surprise that their biggest competition is already doing that, especially since they have their own stablecoin.

Yep, that sounds plausible. Anyway, it's a pretty interesting development if you ask me. Especially in light of the fact that a few days ago Circle's new stablecoin EUROC went live on Coinbase.

Source: https://www.coinbase.com/how-to-buy/euro-coin

It seems as if Coinbase want to protect themselves against possible regulatory uncertainties, but on the other hand also push their own coins. At least it looks like Coinbase is not afraid of the SEC, because the SEC is not only targeting BUSD, but also other stablecoins.
2305  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [List] Gift cards providers on: March 01, 2023, 12:19:07 PM
@LeGaulois Are they using some KYC provider to live-shoot the ID like everyone else, or are they just asking for photo ID upload?

I'm not holding my breath, hopefully they're not using some trash ID verification service.

The KYC process is handled by Sumsub, a verification platform which is used by plenty of players in the space, as it seems. See below:

Source: Bitrefill, KYC

More Infos here: https://sumsub.com/privacy-notice/

Looks like they are also working with Binance, Bybit & Huobi. Can anyone comment on how reputable/respected the KYC provider is?
2306  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [List] Gift cards providers on: March 01, 2023, 11:47:51 AM
Bitrefill has had those limits for as long as I can remember.

Yep, that's exactly how it is. The limits have been around for a long time. I had a short chat via e-mail with the support in 2021(?) and they confirmed that there are certain limits.

Looks like only the note about the limits is new. At least I had not seen this before. But I haven't used Bitrefill for a few months either.

who's going to buy $10,000 per month on Bitrefill?

Perhaps someone needs a Netflix subscription until 2183?  Cheesy
2307  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [LIST] Free EU bank accounts that you can be opened directly online on: March 01, 2023, 11:34:01 AM
Also Bitwala, which was rename last time for Nuri is closed at the end of 2022. (For me that one of my TOP)

You're right. Nuri (ex Bitwala) closed their doors at the end of 2022 due to insolvency. If you visit their website you will only get this screen:

Pretty funny screen for a insolvency if you ask me, haha.

Although, of course, it's a pity that another player in the German-speaking crypto banking sector is closing its door. That doesn't necessarily make it easier for customers.
2308  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Facts about BingX on: March 01, 2023, 11:17:45 AM
Does BingX require KYC? I found the following articles about it:

Never heard of this exchange and wouldn't recommend using it.

But using Google for two seconds brings up the official support page of BingX. You also find everything about exchange fees or other information concerning the exchange. That's why I don't understand why you use (and trust) third party websites when you can find all the information on the official channels/website of the exchange within a few seconds.

Anyway, if you want to trade plenty of (shit)-coins, it is best to use a decentralized exchange of the respective network. Here you don't need a KYC and are on the safe side. For all FIAT transactions then it is best to use a reputable exchange like Kraken or Coinbase.

bullrun2020bro, awful nice of you. I actually have had maybe more than 10 Ledgers/Trezors over the years, but always as a sort of package with work I did for clients, never actually won any of them! And I only ever kept 1, gave all the others away, feels like helping along "adoption" huh?

Haha, yes! There's no better way to push adoption than to make people aware of hardware wallets. And often it's quite difficult for new users to get started, and the costs of a $100 hardware wallet aren't that low either. So if we can help out a little, let's do it!

Well let me know how it turns out.

So far no one has contacted me, but I will wait a little longer. Maybe there is someone who would like to have a free ledger.   Smiley
2311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: German Bundesliga Season 22/23 - Discussion & Prediction Thread on: March 01, 2023, 10:50:13 AM
Very nice performance against Union and Bayern could have even scored 5 or 6 goals in total. After leading already 3:0 in the first half, Bayern had several opportunities in the 2nd half to score.

100%. FC Bayern's problem this season is also not scoring goals, but inconsistent performance. In some games things are going extremely well, while in others absolutely nothing is working out. The upcoming Bundesliga games and the second leg of the Champions League are likely to be decisive in determining whether this will be a successful or a weak season for the club.

The following Bundesliga matches are scheduled for the weekend (match day 23):

Source: Google, Bundesliga

The most interesting match of the weekend already takes place on Friday, when Borussia Dortmund faces RB Leipzig. Let's see if Dortmund can confirm their strong run of form and take three points for the lead in the Bundesliga table.

Hi everyone. Sportsbet.io is continuing to support the pools that are created on the forum. I think that you should absolutely take a look at the Formula 1 pool that we are going to organize the second one this year if you are a fan of motorsports.

Also joining the Sportsbet F1 pool this season, even though I have absolutely no idea who is going to win haha.

Hopefully we'll get a few more participants to make the pool even more fun. Thanks to Sportsbet.io again for sponsoring this pool so generously.

2313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: German Bundesliga Season 22/23 - Discussion & Prediction Thread on: February 28, 2023, 03:57:11 PM
For the second time I was wrong with my gut feeling. Last time I also bet FC Bayern and lost. This time I didn't bet on FC Bayern and FC Bayern won. I should probably stop listening to my gut feeling when betting. Anyway, FC Bayern put in a good game and won against Union Berlin 3-0. In the next game between FC Bayern and Stuttgart, I'll bet on Bayern again. I expect them to win the game with no problems.  Smiley

Haha, too bad buddy. Bayern actually put in an extremely good performance against Union Berlin. The 3:0 result was fully deserved. Let's see if Bayern can show a more consistent form in the next games.

However, the fact that Bayern and Dortmund are now both at the top of the table with 46 points promises a pretty exciting final last leg of the season.

Source: Google, Bundesliga

And at FC Bayern, there seems to be another interesting development. It is possible that Benjamin Pavard will extend his contract after all, even though it has looked more likely in recent months that he will soon be leaving the club.

Bayern bosses are impressed with Benjamin Pavard's performances this year, helped by his role as a centre-back in a back 3. A contract extension beyond 2024 remains possible and more likely than it was in recent months [@_kochmaximilian]

2314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 28, 2023, 03:33:35 PM
According to several rumors, FC Bayern is not interested in signing Borussia Mönchengladbach's top player Marcus Thuram - even though Thuram will be on a free transfer starting in the summer.

Bayern decided not to get involved in the race for Marcus Thuram, despite the striker being available on a free transfer this summer [@cfbayern]

Source: https://twitter.com/iMiaSanMia/status/1630573186206015493

Personally, I also think this is a pretty good decision from Bayern's management, because in the end, I don't think Thuram has the quality to take FC Bayern to a new level.

IMHO, he would be an average backup player for the squad. However, what Bayern needs are top players who make the difference in the crucial games of the season. And despite his quality, Thuram is not one of them, to be honest.

i think the blind structure you posted will also be valid for us and we will practice it in the same way.

Fantastic. The structure is quite fast, but it should be adequate for a small tournament like ours.

for the respective poker tournaments/days we will continue to use this thread and it looks like the first tournament will start in march and then continue weekly (every sunday)
i think as soon as the dates are fixed all participants can register for the respective rounds.

Please announce the appropriate dates early so that everyone can plan their weekends.

If it should start already this Sunday (since it will be the first Sunday in March), the official announcement comes quite late. So it's probably going to start a little later, right?

Well, let the user get here first and let them do what they want. Nobody is obliged to search the Beginners & Help Board if they don't want to. No one has to do a in-depth Bitcoin research if they don't want to.

However, there is some common sense: When you sign up for a new website, you usually familiarize yourself with the rules and read the relevant threads with the basic instructions.

And since Bitcointalk is a Bitcoin forum, it wouldn't be bad if you could get a basic understanding of Bitcoin afterwards. Although, if a user doesn't want to do that, that's their right and we shouldn't force them.

First of all, welcome to the pool. Smiley  The 2023 Formula 1 season is starting with practice sessions on Friday. You don't need to be in a hurry to make the payment for now. You can make the payment until March 17.

Thanks a lot buddy! I just joined the Superbru pool and am going to get familiar with the F1. I will then transfer the participation fee in the next few days and write you a PM.

Even if you don't have much idea about it practice sessions on Fridays would give you nice clues for a race week.

Ah, thanks for the information. Appreciate that! There are quite a few picks that I have to make. And I have absolutely no idea, haha. This will be fun.  Cheesy

Lots of familiar faces from other pools here in the thread. Pretty sure, this will be an exciting F1 season. Sweet!

Hey, lots of familiar faces here. Thanks for the friendly reminder via PM.  Smiley

Even though I have absolutely no idea about the F1, I would still like to participate, haha.

When does F1 start and how many days do I have to transfer the entry fee? I would do it tomorrow when I have access to my wallet, if that's fine.

Cheesy
