2301  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY ? Step back ! PHIL's GOT THIS ! on: July 05, 2017, 01:39:39 PM
Not long after I threatened to resign on the forum, I got a phone call from Jim saying the decision was made to let me go. That is when I knew something was seriously wrong and that internal foul play may be involved, other than just a "hacker".  After that I was the first employee to contact the receiver and tell them everything I knew. I agree though, I didn't want to be out of a job. Cryptsy stiffed me on my last pay and my pay was getting smaller and smaller. I had to sell my playstation on kijiji in order to rent a moving truck to get out of the company condo about 2 months early because I was afraid of what would happen, because I knew shit was bad and that someone fucked up majorly. In hindsight, I wish I left months before but I was blindly loyal and I learned first hand of where being blindly loyal can lead you.

Also, dac10, if you want to send those back, here is an addy 1ArbDoZ4BToUP4fowgBCtwBz8ccByt7beA

As I've said before here guys, I'm an open book. Technically Cryptsy is still a company owned by the receiver, so as far as I know my NDA is still valid until after settlement is reached. I will answer what I can if anyone has more questions, but I feel most questions that could be asked, have already been asked and answered in older posts. But , if you have any new ones, please don't hesitate to ask.

Much respect to you Horus_Cryptsy for your honesty. It cannot be easy to justify your actions on a regular basis to those that were scammed but thank you for trying to best to keep composed while providing whatever clarity you can. So for someone like me that was away from Cryptos for a long time it provides much needed information. Thank you.

Please correct me if I am wrong but according to your previous post the company (Cryptsy) provided you with a rent free apartment or heavily subsidised one? When your pay was getting smaller and smaller what did you do to get your correct salary? Did this Jim bloke pay your backdated missing salary when he telephoned you to sack you? And where exactly is this Jim character now? Did he get arrested, questioned and so on? If not is he playing ignorant like Paul Vernon's wife claiming he knew nothing and was just an employee?

When the website closed did you actually lose coins in the scam as well? If so how much and BTW sorry to learn about your Playstatio. Not nice what happened to you along with all of us that got scammed.

Jim and his wife, Ginny, still live on a small farm complete with farm animals I think they fuck in Texas. Their address is known but hit me up publicly if you can't find it. They both still run the Library of Thumbs porn site.

Thanks, Spoetnik, for the kinds words. TBC, not always do I get my scam busting facts correct but I keep coming up to bat like Babe Ruth, hitting a many outta the park.

Coach signaling Babe who's on first: Steal second!
Babe signaling back: Fuck you! I'm only here because the pitcher accidently walked my fat ass, else I'd be in the dugout after striking out or be rounding third right about now while the ball I hit just came to a stop alongside some curb outside the park.

Spamming QTUM from different accounts is defenitely a redflag. Not gonna even consider this a good coin nor your marketing team - decent.

Have you not read this thread? It's not the official team that is spamming.

We believe it's a coordinated attack, by DDoS'ing our website and sending mass spam messages on Bitcointalk and Slack channels to annoy people.
Don't expect everyone to believe this your makeup story, if you're under attack just as you have claim, then what are you doing to stop it.
Why is it sending the same type of msg to people, why not random msg?

It's pretty clear.. On the day of launch the website went down, got hacked, things were slowed down, etc. all due to the hacks paired with the spamming. I think it's pretty clear that someone is trying to throw some FUD here to scare people away and load up..

Separately for Gleb.. US Investors were actually able to participate in the ICO through Bizhongchou and I can verify this works.

I agree that it's possible, but Team Qtum said that it's illegal for US citizens to partake in the ICO, having defence mechanisms in place to ward off the practice so that they'll be 100% compliant, but with tons of US citizens still partaking in the ICO et al. as I've easily demonstrated, that doesn't say much about their defense mechanisms, eh?

I'll be honest here and say that I do not recall it saying that it was illegal just that you had to go through the Bizhongchou website as opposed to any of the other exchanges.

Again, to be fair, I took the liberty and used the word "illegal" in spite of it probably not been stated by Team Qtum. That said, if it were legal for US citizens to partake in the ICO, they 100% wouldn't have been excluded in the fund raising campaign, ergo I stand by my word choice. Recall, we're talkin' SEC guidelines, hence opting to register in Singapore as a non-profit to circumnavigate various Nation States regulations.

Revisiting the word "illegal" ...

A Message From The Team:

As we near the March 16th opening of the Qtum Crowdsale, we’d like to take a moment and discuss what to expect over the coming period. First and foremost, this is a global initiative, but we anticipate most of the token sales to come from the Eastern market. On ground of regulatory requirements, our legal terms excludes US citizen from participating.

QUESTION: Again, how the fuck were US citizens allowed to OPENLY participate given that Team Qtum explicitly declared such won't be the case? And, why the fuck am I the ONLY one bringing the crime to light?

He would make for a good Slam Poet. Some dude who just goes on stage and expresses his frustrations angrily - yet poetically - for too long.

By the way, howbout Smooth calling Reptilia a scammer?? I've never heard of a more pot/kettle situation.

I believe it was NPR where I first learnt about Slam Poetry. Here's a girl I last seen when she was very young, for I knew here father well when he lived in Nashville, TN: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXBJKEmI-tI She takes slamming to a whole new level, and ironically she's a ... wait for it ... Bitcoiner.

Her father, Steve Eng, penned the following lyrics:

Your love is hot and heavy like a burger on a bun
Your love is just like Kmart, you got something for everyone

Your love is like a pizza, home-delivered to the door
After one slice, the customer cries for more

If Linda Lovelace needed lessons, you could show her how it's done
Your love is just like Kmart, you got something for everyone

This song needs a release
AND ... I ... NEED ... A ... RELEASE ... FOR ... MY ... BODILY ... TENSIONS

The last time I saw Steve Eng was at the main public library in downtown Nashville. He was looking for a Tennessee whore. Seriously, a Tennessee whore, and he calculated his odds of finding one at the public library. Last I heard, he did find one, and included her name in the book "Tennessee Wild West" -> https://scribdoc.com/author/stephen+richard+eng

How I remember Steve Eng:

Steve during his final days:

can you participate the EOS ICO ?

seems no American.... Grin

I wonder how much the EOS ICO is having a negative effect on the Qtum price right now.  Over 84% of EOS market trading (Yunbi & BTER) is EOS/CNY trading pair.

I hope the Chinese buyers realize the ICO isn't over and it will go for nearly a full year.

Quote
To begin with, the Token Purchase Agreement specifically emphasized that the EOS token has no purpose. It read:

“As mentioned above, the EOS Tokens do not have any rights, uses, purpose, attributes, functionalities or features, expressed or implied. Although EOS Tokens may be tradable, they are not an investment, currency, security, commodity, a swap on a currency, security, or commodity or any kind of financial instrument.”

To potential investors, EOS emphasized that EOS is not an investment and its tokens are not considered as cryptocurrencies. Such explanation questioned the necessity of the EOS token and the reason why the vast majority of investors purchased $185 million worth of EOS tokens.

Speechless!

"Cryptsy Class Action Settlement Update:

On June 2, 2017, the Court granted final approval to the class action settlement. A copy of the Order approving the settlement is posted on this website. In granting final approval, the Court has authorized the Court-Appointed Receiver and Class Counsel to complete the liquidation of assets that comprise the settlement fund. We expect this process to be complete by the fourth quarter, 2017. Once this process is complete, the parties must file with the Court a motion that provides the results of this process and seeks the Court’s authorization to disburse the Settlement Fund in accordance with the Class Action Settlement Agreements.

At the same time, the Claims Administrator and Class Counsel are reviewing the claims submitted by Settlement Class Members.

We expect to start distributing the Settlement Fund in the first quarter, 2018. If this changes, we will post additional updates here."

I wonder what the average payout will be for those that registered for the class action on time

I already did the math and it's somewhere north of U$250 (average).

You're lucky that you have paid via paypal. Your best bet right now is to go to paypal resolution center and file a dispute against the seller. As far as i can tell right now, it was sent as goods and services which means that you're able to charge it back(hopefully). Paypal usually sides with the buyer. Do this as quick as you can, and provide all proof like you did here.

Take this as a lesson. Do NOT send first to newbies without any reputation, in fact, do NOT send first to anyone. Make sure you use a reputable escrow that has held at least 500-1000 BTC before, and has publicly identified their ID and/or have held forum funds so that their dox is known to forum administrators.

You can make throwaway accounts at PayPal.

I bet you also didn't know that Paul Vernon and his wife, Lorie, served in the Army together in the intelligence division, but she didn't have a clue as to what her husband was up to, perhaps because her clearance was lower than Paul's who advised 3-, 4- and 5-Star Generals at Ft Hood during the exact same timeframe that Paul and Jim Shockney were building porn websites.

You bet wrong... I read a link that mentioned about him meeting his wife in the army but there was no mention of her Chinese heritage.

However, I did not know that he was building porn websites whilst in the army. I knew he was involved in a posting DVD business too which he sold to a competitor. I am still unsure as to the exact significance of who Jim Shockney is and what he did.

Jim and Paul have been partners in various ventures since the late 90's starting with online porn. At least two of the ventures they ripped off their users with Lorie acting as an administrator in each, thus she was well versed as to what type of snake Paul was/is but, again, didn't have a fuckin clue that Paul was ripping off Cryptsy users nor where the money came from so to purchase a million-dollar-plus home which it was I who first brought such to light.

When I was young, the only US person allowed to visit China was Nixon (you get my drift) with no hope of me ever visiting the country. Disgusting, ain't it? How many are outright paid shills, I wonder? Many seem either illiterate/English as a Second Language, so paying Eastern Europeans to promote it on boards like this doesn't seem too outlandish.

Not only is this shaping up to be another con by the same 'ol hucksters, but the "Skin/eSports Gambling" ICO market is getting insanely overcrowded - new competitors by the day, some of which have far more reputable names and/or actual software to show off ahead of time.
