Yes, it was probably from somewhere else, but it would be hard to guess. So rather than mining with closed-source app, I'd rather mine scrypt and trade it for BCN. The coin is cheap anyway, so buying is a feasible option.

Just mine Monero, BCN with its huge "pre/ninja mine" will be probably dumped when it hits exchange - devs already bribed Comkort to trade it.

Just my 2BCNs :p

Monero has been mentioned numerous times already in this thread, but no thanks. I would rather support the original idea even if it has been 'ninja-mined' as you say.

I wouldn't mine monero for the same reason I don't mine any BTC or LTC forks/clones. You have your reasons for mining it, I have my reasons for NOT mining it. So lets just agree to disagree and spare this thread from monero ads. Thanks.

The other day I found a Bitcoin Mining trojan on my PC. So I'm now taking a very defensive stance against any closed-source wallets or miners.

Minergate has to go from my PC now.
Can you give us some details? It would be helpful to know how you identified the trojan so that we can check our systems for it's presence.

My computer had been running with no problems whatsoever for past 3 years. Never a virus, never formatted etc. I am on Windows 7 professional x64 with Kaspersky Internet Security.
I am running MultiBit with a few other open-source alt-coin wallets and Minergate mining app.

2 days ago the PC when I started it, it stuck on the welcome screen. (After clicking on the user logo on logon screen, the 'welcome' text would appear and the 'process circle' would keep running until infinity, computer won't start)

I booted in safe mode, it started fine. I installed Malware Bytes in safe mode and ran a scan. It found a 'Trojan.Bitcoin.Miner' which I removed. But then also the PC would still freeze at logon screen. After going through a lot, I ended up restoring my C drive with Norton Ghost; essentially formatting my C drive.

I'm not sure what was the cause of the problem, but I'm now cautious of putting anything closed-source related to Bitcoin or alt-coins on my system.

I wouldn't blame Kaspersky for this, because every now and then it warns me about something and sometimes I would just tell it to ignore the object or mark it as trusted just because I believe the object to be from trusted source. Never gonna happen again, though.
Thanks for the info.
I just installed and ran Malware Bytes on my system that has been running MinerGate for over a month and it didn't detect any Malware. So the trojan you got was most likely not related to MinerGate.

2324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [BCN] Bytecoin (not a bitcoin fork) How-To on: May 05, 2014, 06:42:04 PM
OK, I successfully synchronized my blockchain and wallet for the first time and my wallet already has 4 incoming transactions, totalling 13102 BCN.

Is this normal?

I had asked for a few BCN in the giveaway thread, but I'm not sure if all transactions are from the giveaway. I also don't know how to check date/time of a transaction, so can't verify.
I have this also. One big outgoing transaction divided into many smaller incoming parts. Is this perhaps the result of the <mixin_count> option?

So essentially it is one transaction of 13102 BCN divided into many parts for anonymity? That's definitely possible.

simple version:

I really like this one. Looks modern and very polished. It is good on eye and I liked it the moment I saw it!

Nice work mate!

The last Die Hard film was terrible. First Taken was good but second wasn't. There's a third one in the works I think.
Who they gonna kidnap in Taken next? His dog?  Cheesy And Die Hard 5 was terrible. I enjoyed most of the others though.

Maybe the dog will kidnap someone this time Cheesy

And yes, I too didn't like the last Die Hard. All four others were very good.

Hmm... I don't like moving porn... I mean porn movies... Someone got some high quality site with pictures? Oh, and I don't like when they are naked, and no men. Preferable nice good looking women fully clothed, this is my fetish...

I think I'd love to become a paid world traveller and reviewer of places.

Always wanted to travel the world and going on adventures.

I've been reading a lot about cryptocurrencies recently (and researching them). I was wondering why there are so many?

Welcome to the world of pumping & dumping

Just watched 'Her' yesterday. Cool movie with unique concept, but I don't think it deserves such high ratings on IMDb. It is at most 7.0 /10 for me.

Yes, the first half was certainly engaging but the movie lost the momentum in 2nd half and totally lost the climax.

Thanks for the Giveaway; just joined the list Smiley

I wonder if anyone has dared to watch any of these IMDb bottom 100

http://www.imdb.com/chart/bottom?sort=ir,asc&mode=simple

Haha glad to see Fat Slags on there. Now that is a film I give 0/0 to. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0382028/?ref_=chtbtm_tt_81 Painfully unfunny.

Well..   the poster shows some boobs. If there is even one scene in the movie with a beautiful topless woman, I'd give it at least 1.0 / 10 Grin

There is thing with people. They think that it is possible to be successful while giving less and less, don't you think so yourself?
I have not understood your point, how about you trying saying it one more time?

I think he might be trying to make a point that people can be seen as successful for not really having any talents or doing much at all, is that a better theory?  Cheesy

I like that theory. I have been trying to do as less as possible to become as successful as possible. Do you think it will work?
2336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My credit card is frozen--good opportunity on: May 02, 2014, 12:30:33 PM
When I called to resolve the issue they said that "since I was not a woman" the transaction was flagged as suspicious.  Visa, do you not realize that men buy things for women?

[rant] So if I order some sex toy doll from China, are the credit card guys going to pay me a visit to check if I have a dick? [/rant]
2337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quark makes crypto history, support this if you support crypto on: May 02, 2014, 12:25:05 PM
This gives me a novel idea. Someone should launch a web comic series based on CryptoCoin characters.

Like 'The Avengers', but not a movie. A comic where BTC, LTC, DOGE, DRK etc will team up for some adventures Grin
2338  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bullish Bitstamp Price on: May 02, 2014, 12:21:36 PM
Bitstamp has been $10 above the other exchanges for some time. Considering that they just proved they're solvent I don't see them playing the gox your customers game.

So what gives here, what's causing the imbalance? Is the great taurus himself being summoned?

It's not the exchange that decides the price, it's the users who sell/buy. So I see no Goxing here.

Why do people keep piling on sell walls ?  Huh

Giving the price 0 chance to rise.. The coin is worth much more than this.

Then this should be a nice opportunity to buy them.

What kind of person gets the idea to mix up a fox with a human in that kind of perverted way?

You know, you'd be surprised how many people. You really would. There's enough art out there to keep an army fapping for decades.

Don't know how they think. I would rather fap on a real young HUMAN girl.
