Thanks folks, I had some 5830s and one of the fans seized so I bought an R9 290 TRI X, its running at 68 degrees my 5830s were running in the 80s so im happy with the temp. I plan of shutting it down every now and again but that being said im not opposed to buying another now scan.co.uk accept bitcoin. You can buy some replacement fans for the 5830s on ebay. It just takes a screwdriver to change it out. I've still got one running as well. I can change the fan easily enough, been blowing up computers for 16 years now lol. I Will probably give it to my friend who has just started mining.

I don't get why there is a need to trade vs LTC.
Personally I don't either, but the the coins has only just been born so this will help raise it's profile and get it out there a little bit more.

Finally, I have my new card set up. What a ball ache this was! Does anyone has any tips on closing down cminer using the 'Q' button - Everytime I do this my computer crashes. If I close it down with the 'X' it's fine. Can anyone shed any light on this for me Cheers very much This is a common issue on the R9 290/290X. It's been fixed in the latest version of sgminer, which is a cgminer fork. https://github.com/veox/sgminerIf this works, i will love you forever, or at least until I forget you sent the link.

If I close it down with the 'X' it's fine. Can anyone shed any light on this for me Cheers very much Hmm that's a very odd issue. Are you using some obscure operating system? Also, since it works just fine with 'X', I guess that's just fine too right? :p Windows 7 64 ultimate :/ - it's windows which has been obscure since, well, forever lol the error is system service expection and the famous blue screen mini dump! So I figure it's the config file that needs adjusting. I was using 2 5830's before this and it didnt like the config file at all so I deleted it, started again and at least it's running Getting about 800kh's this morning, but I haven't pushed the memory up at all yet. But yes as long as it closes down using the 'X' and my fiance can get to her wedding budget file without bugging me, then happy days lol

Hi there everybody, My name is Brownie and I am a part of the iCoin team on the creative side; having composed some music exclusively for the coin, together with my heavy involvement in other promotional media/future concepts. I have been an observer of the forum for some time (under a different name), but I now feel compelled to write my first post and say hello to the community. It is a pleasure to be working amongst such a collective of talented and dedicated people. The team behind iCoin is already a success before it is even truly launched, and we have some great and unique plans to even further its huge potential in the longer term. It's great to see so much support on these forums, and all concerns that have been raised by forum users have been discussed in-depth and greatly acknowledged amongst our team. We are listening, and we are in this for the long haul. The help and support of the community is vitally important to every person behind iCoin. Spread the word, tell all about iCoin, because we're coming - and we're going to do things the way they should be done, one step at a time. Herrow from the UK
