2341  Economy / Economics / Re: Are short-term rentals to blame for the lack of housing? on: August 04, 2023, 02:14:36 PM

My advice for you is to stay in a shared accomodation like hostel etc and save money until you are capable of shifting to a great home later on.

Hostel accommodation is not advisable for op based on what he shared. Hostel accommodation is also part of short term rentals and that is expensive to take care of. Those who stay in such kind of accommodation are those looking to seal a business deal as fast as possible and they require short term rent, those that are schooling for academic certificate in a location far from where they are living, those that are expatriate and tourist.
2342  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ARE THE CONSPIRACY THEORIST RIGHT? on: August 04, 2023, 12:44:24 PM

They wanted the people to not search for the answer and they control them by these means. This is one of the conspiracy theorists that I think is real.

This is part of another conspiracy theory. Many sports lovers and music enthusiast will tell you these two brings soothing relief to whatever sorrow you are going through. Football for instance is a unifier even in a country where religion has separated the fabrics of what bring people together. It is the most of them all that even in the world, it creates a life time of revenue for host countries especially in the FIFA hosted tournaments.
2343  Economy / Economics / Re: Are short-term rentals to blame for the lack of housing? on: August 04, 2023, 12:24:28 PM
Regards to your stress in trying to look for a house for rent, you can't do it alone. You need agents or Airbnb depeion what you are looking for.

Housing is such an expensive aspect of life in this time around and you know many investors have gone into such business and that is why you see the short term rentals making much money, it is about the business and profit for them. Across the globe, short term rentals make more money than the long term accommodation and in some area what you see is just the short term rentals. This is where the government has to come in. They need to build more houses. In the past in Nigeria, it was the practice that different state government built houses for the civil servants and others housing estates that where put on rent, mortgage or lease. Some houses were built by government for outright sales but I think this time around, the government isn't focusing on proper housing regulation because then there was Federal Housing Authority (FHA), I don't know how active that authority is now.
2344  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Bitcoin Studies for Naija Universities on: August 04, 2023, 11:25:04 AM

So, the question be say wether make we push for the inclusion of Bitcoin courses for Nigerian universities?  I wan hear una thoughts, suggestions, and contributions on this matter!

E get the things wey people no fit do for government or not even as we dey here self. Government fit even dey look people wey dey here one kind eye if them know wetin dey sup, although na VPN go solve that one, una know wetin I mean.

Anyway, as I dey talk. No be we go do government work for them.   Na them know wetin them want put for the school curriculum and I no even sure say this kind old people wey dey government now go even want to put Blockchain technology for the curriculum make e remain bitcoin matter. With Blockchain technology self, you fit use am stop rigging of election and we know say some people political carrier go dey because without rigging some politicians go pack up.

Na countries wey don adopt bitcoin as legal tender suppose don start am like El Salvador and I'm not sure that bitcoin inside school curriculum don begin there.
2345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there real sports bet groups on: August 04, 2023, 11:00:23 AM

Even if a few of their signals turn out to be right, it doesn't mean that they are the ultimate experts in the sports betting industry. The research and analysis that they maybe do, can be done by an individual as well if they have an interest in a specific sport that they are willing to bet on.

The difference between paid groups and those patronizing them is that research and analysis which they have devoted their time on to do because they want to sell it out. It is laziness on the part of most bettors that make to to use such means otherwise if they put in time for more research analysis, it is the same result they will get and that is the result of winning some and losing some. No betting apps or telegram betting group gives an accurate result of 100% back to back, because it is not possible.
2346  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BC.GAME Laundering Money via Thailand Bank accounts, Taking legal actions. on: August 04, 2023, 10:08:06 AM
Screenshots of Telegram chats mean very little or don't mean anything because the chats can be faked, screenshots can be faked.

Those writings on paper pieces don't mean anything. No one can verify those writings.

You are in a blockchain world and if you can provide on chain transaction hash, addresses and more related to blockchains, ledgers that can be checked by others, it will be better information for your case. Remember and think carefully before you share these information as your privacy will be broken by sharing.

Information from OP does not make any sense to call BC.Game is scam or to judge they are doing money laundering.

This is very instructive and a lesson to us all because you don't know who could fall as a victim to make the mistake to rely on just screenshots or social media chats without strong hash prove of transfer and transaction that could be verified by all from far and near through hash on the transactions. Now op only provided chats that few people would waste time to go through because it will not go anywhere because it won't prove anything against an alleged offender.
2347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: August 04, 2023, 09:49:43 AM
It is foolish to think of gambling as a source of income because the chances of success are very low. Its results never bring anything good.

Hey it is not to say that some bettors are not benefiting from gambling because if there is patronage, that means people still have benefit derived from it but the issue is to so rely on it for a livelihood which is the focus. There are casinos here that have been around for years and that means they are having traffic and lots of customers to be able to sustain the business, run ads and pay signature participants including payment of direct staff. You can only gamble responsibly by having personal control not to over gamble.
2348  Economy / Gambling / Re: Free Condolence Bonuses to Betnomi victims on: August 04, 2023, 07:49:33 AM
Trustdice team have come up with better plans, however this could help the victims to some extent. This is kinda marketing and take those disappointed gamblers regular users of their platform.

How will that help? Wager is involved.
They just acted fast with the market strategy.

Whatever no platform comes forward to provide with a bonus for the mistake from another platform.

What essense is the bonus? To win non registered gamblers to Trustdice. It is for their benefit and purely marketing. Of course they included wager and ToS meaning after losing the bonus you are stucked with them  Grin Refill and continue  Shocked

Here the bonuses were availed based on the amount stuck on the platform. How this information can be provided to the trustdice is another question.

I don't think they have answered this question asked earlier. Perhaps some fresh sign ups will take the advantage of a new bonus to them but then trustdice won't bother because they are gaining new customers whether from betnomi survivals or not. Well they thought fast with the strategy to take the betnomi situation as a market advantage.
2349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Possible measures to stop online gambling addiction. on: August 03, 2023, 09:55:26 PM

An addiction is something someone has to discipline himself on and one fail to do so then every other methods is just like a set back strategy for the main time.

That is it, it is either you pull yourself out if you want to stop or you are there. It is a personal decision to take and not by delimiting yourself from viewing casino apps. There are people who have worked on their emotion to stop but because they are not really serious, they are still struggling with it but some also have put themselves to stop finally. It is like a decision you take to stop smoking and other illicit activities like drugs, you have to put effort to stop it if you want at least by looking at the negative effect on you.
2350  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Weak state capacity & underdevelopment in Africa: on: August 03, 2023, 07:34:08 PM
Significantly  African  institutions has totally left the continent underdeveloped as a result of it's inability in  discharging institutional functions.

To start with, Africa don't have institution. Institution is what helps a country to grow but when that is not happening you see corruption taking over.

In conclusion, can we say that the incorporation of Africa into a world economic order has been helpful to the continent?

No matter how we look at the African integration into the economic order, it has helped the continent. African like the third world countries benefit from the credit facilities that others get, the other support from the world organisations that they are party to like 300 of, WHO, UN, UNESCO, IMF etc. Also in sports , Africa benefit from soccer tournament like FIFA both for men and women. There are alot of gains being incorporated in the world but African leaders are corrupt, most of the subventiona coming to African people go to few families.
2351  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What factors affect life expectancy? on: August 03, 2023, 05:48:53 PM
Two of the major factors for increasing life expectancy are:
1. Eat more meat from ruminant animals;

I have heard that animal product is good for the body but I don't know the extent that we can say it helps the life expectancy. But you mentioned from ruminate animal and that makes it more curious for me. What is special with ruminate animal food that it becomes the choice raising life expectancy or it is because of the fact they feed from plants. Ruminate animals are herbivores and they majorly feed on plants, so you kind of linking such to life expectancy?
2352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Possible measures to stop online gambling addiction. on: August 03, 2023, 02:41:02 PM

And less use of social media because gambling platforms promote themselves the most through social media

This age is not the time a youth would turn his or eyes from social media because every information, knowledge or aware you need is on social media and internet. If someone turns away from social media and the internet, the person is simply turning himself off from what is happening around him and the outside world. If a lesser use of social media will be the answer to stopping gambling addiction then such person is not ready to stop yet. It involves a personal effort to zero one's mind off it so that even when those ads are thrown at you, you are so going to keep on concentrate on whatever it is you were engaged with.
2353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's safe to say - gambling is a guy thing. on: August 03, 2023, 01:36:25 PM

And I do believed that this is the case, at least from the women that I've talk about gambling. Although I've seen girls and women at any age gamble in land based casinos, still they are outnumbered by men as we take a lot of risk.

Yet those ladies that gambler in land base casino or gambling houses, go there with their male friends and boy friends. These ladies are usually youths and young age, they are accompanied by the male folks as they don't like going those places alone because of what society or people will say about them working in there, even when they are seen with guys, they are also talked about especially in African culture. This is to say that such places and activities of gambling was for the exclusive of the male folks and women hardly and freely do those but when they are doing it, mostly likely a male is involved.

Alot of cases has been reported several times too - and y'all end up realizing that MEN are usually involved in very many critical cases...

Men are more physical than women and even the women in the house leave out more tedious chores for the men, the parents themselves in division of labour give more physical labour to the boys. That masculinity is passed on to even taken care of the family, the wife do more lesser jobs than the husband. In terms of employment, I have seen men selected for physical jobs. However, most of those sex roles are changing and you see women taking more tedious job assignments than men. They now take risk like men and that is why the gambling field that used to be male dominated is also changing. Women also gamble now, they take risk and want to meet up with family daily needs because many are fast becoming bread winners because of the absence of men in the family for whatever reason including death. And the men are fast loosing their jobs.

What's that validating? That men are really taking the whole thing personal??

It is worthy to note that it is a male dominated world. In the bible, God already gave dominion to men, at least it was recorded that Adam named all the animals  Grin
2355  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My new favorite betting method. on: August 03, 2023, 10:19:36 AM
From the table, my mind goes to martingale kind of betting and it is not far from it because you are adding up odds and betting stake each following game like you want to make up for the previous game. I think if this strategy goes wrong then it will accumulate alot of losses for you. I have only tested such in soccer game when I expect I'm going to have a win. Martingale is good when in profit.
2356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Possible measures to stop online gambling addiction. on: August 03, 2023, 08:04:57 AM
I'm believing those suggestions are for a gambler who is an addict because a random gambler doesn't bother his or her self on what ads pops up from their phone at intervals.

To disable gambling apps or casino ads won't be a solution for an addict who is not yet ready to stop because if he does disable them on the caution of a second party or by himself, he would request a friend's phone for gambling because he is not ready yet to stop. It is about your readiness to stop or limit your gambling behavior. Both budgetting or deleting of gambling apps are not permanent solution.
2357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ADVICE]Boy Wins $46k from Sports Bet but Can't Tell Strict Religious Parents... on: August 03, 2023, 07:46:33 AM
Why as an adult he feels he should tell his parents is the real question. Is it a my house my rules type of situation? If so, I would think this win is more than enough for him to get his own place and start getting his life together. $46K would get him a couple years on his own and hopefully he could find a job and stop being a freeloader. I promise you his parents won’t be upset.

I also don't think they should. I mean, it is a life time lucky winning and perhaps the parents don't earn such per annum. So they will eventually give in and render advise to him on the better way to go or investment to go into. I would think the parents are not bitcoin enthusiast with their religious inclination otherwise to DCA on bitcoin will be fine for the lad while he use part for offline business and if he himself is an online person then he could learn some online courses of business development etc.
2358  Economy / Economics / Re: what do we thinking about investment target? on: August 02, 2023, 09:19:26 PM
The products which were bought at the same price in the last four-five years now have to be bought at two to three times more. Now what is the real reason, what should we do at this moment. The real reason for this is the effect of inflation which causes the price of everything to rise. This inflationary effect increases the prices of our daily necessities. Due to which the value of our money is constantly decreasing every year. As a result, it is almost impossible to buy and drink a cup of tea from outside.

Inflation is a big challenge to any economy because it also affects the reach of the national budget. When the government estimate the budget that is capital and expenditure for the year, they need money to execute the budget but with inflation in the economy, the money required will not be enough to execute all of the budget and if it stops half way, it means some aspect of the economy will suffer. Also as an individual, your salary will no longer be okay to take care of your needs because the purchasing power of your money has been reduced by high cost of goods which makes your money not sufficient anymore but the solution is to diversify in investment so that you can have more hands to generate income from which will cushion the effect of the inflation for you
2359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ADVICE]Boy Wins $46k from Sports Bet but Can't Tell Strict Religious Parents... on: August 02, 2023, 06:41:13 PM

First of all, what he did was wrong because he didn't follow the order of his parent's but now that he already committed the mistake, I think it will now be easy for him to commit another mistake which is to lie, just in case his parents find out about the money. Im sure there must be other profitable activity that is allowed in his country like investing or trading. He can just say that he got the money from those sources. There might still be people who can feel guilty right after making one mistake and they will confess it right away. They think this will lessen the punishment that they will be getting.

Such mistake I don't know if it is a good mistake or bad mistake but the important thing is that he already has a source of livelihood with him. He is lucky to win that huge sum of money capable to change his life for good. If he invest the money rightly in a profitable venture, his parents one day will forgive him after all he didn't steal it or used gun to rub from off their money. They are still family and family is always a family, things as such will not cause them apart and huge money is involved that is enough to still put smile on their faces on the long run depending on the economic status.
2360  Economy / Gambling / Re: Whats happening with Betnomi? on: August 02, 2023, 05:53:56 PM

The majority of Betnomi clients have lost their money and won't be able to recover them ever even if the casino makes a future welcome back. shortly.

Why do you think they won't get their funds back incase there is a come back? They have the details of the customers who registered with them and those who have funds to withdraw. Customers also have prove of playing with them so it won't be a difficult thing to identify those who had account with them. However, it may be a slow process that will take time and some you had issues with the accounts earlier might find it difficult to make a clarification with them but people will get funds back if they did come back.
