Is it going to be possible that two nation will be engaging in war and other nations will come with the main aim of putting peace without indirectly inciting then from behind and fuelling the war just to claim supremacy?

Don't expect peace in war times until the trade have really gone far and exhausted.

War times are for trade, building of new aligns, support and other friendship. So there is no smoke without fire when Benjamin Netanyahu said he would not back down.

Has the UN be very neutral In the recent wars happening around the world?

But US is not neutral or quiet. Biden has pledge support for Israel times without number, only waiting for the east to show physical solidarity for Palestine.
1342  Economy / Economics / Re: You can't meet all your needs/desires at once, even if you spend all your salary on: November 02, 2023, 08:44:22 PM
The more you get the more you want. That's how most of thinks. The desire to have everything is infinite.  That's why we see, even the richest mans are fighting over billion of billion money. Although they have enough for his family to last for a lifetime, he wants more. It's a never ending cycle. To give you a example, let me tell you about the latest Iphone 15. The Iphone 14 and 15 are very similar, basically a clone. If I had Iphone 14, I won't buy 15. But still, many are upgrading from 14 to 15, even thought there aren't anything to upgrade. You knew that but still wanted that. That's how human mind works. Even if one had everything, it won't be enough.

I understand the example you gave using iphone 14 and 15 but that is still base on choice. Some people don't have money to eat but they like to use big phones so that is just preference. Like I saw on interview sometime last year Sadio Mane was seen with a cracked iphone around 2020 but that wasn't his priority but he was desiring to take care of his people, provide them with social amenities etc.

Well human have different things they desire and it will never stop to be that way, that is why the economic theory say human wants are insatiable but it is the means to get to such wants that are scarce and as a human, we keep striving to get them.
1343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nigerians spend $975m daily on online betting on: November 02, 2023, 07:50:47 PM
I strongly believe the figure is far much higher than this if online crypto betting is added because this betting statistics is from the online casino that accepts Naira only and Crypto betting is not included and if I am not mistaken, the online crypto betting statistics might be far higher than this statistics if the data is given. Nigerians are always looking for alternative means to survive the hardship in the country so if they resort to gambling as a source of income,I am not surprised because the economic situation of the country is not encouraging so one would need to improvise just to survive.

I agree with the statistics and your analysis but where I vary with your analysis is the online casino area. I don't think the number of Nigerians betting in online casinos and those using crypto is higher than offline bettors. Remember those who are betting offline are also likely to be same person betting through online casino games.

Moreover, the age range of bettors in Nigeria are mostly youths and they are more particular about soccer not even sports in general, so that already limit the numbers estimated bettors in online casino games.

However more seriously, the reason for this alarming number of gamblers and are mostly youths and mostly graduates is high level of unemployment. The nation is facing difficult times and the leaders don't allow election results to reflect the wish of the people but to rig themselves into office and the result is backwardness and no wonder brain drain continues in Nigeria and Africa.

It is unfortunate that people try to survive through gambling because there is no jobs or conducive business environment but there is no survival in what seem to be a lucky dip, it can only favour very few people and majority will end up being more poor.
1344  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is doubling your investment more probable than we think? on: November 02, 2023, 06:31:30 PM
we are all optimistic that the price of bitcoin will increase significantly in the next few years. and doubling our current investment is a good decision. but it should be noted that investing in bitcoin doesn't need to be rushed, everything needs a process. increasing investment slowly is more recommended, for example by using the DCA method. with this method we can invest our money in bitcoin in a more measured way and reduce the potential for losses that we might experience.

Dollar Cost Averaging doesn't mean you will not incur losses, it is just the gradual and periodic investment of coin or other commodities at regular or equal basis by which you can take stock of your investment, progress from time to time and it mitigate against volatility. However, it value can drop depending on what you invested on but the good thing is if you invest on bitcoin then with patience the value will rise again in the future. For example El Salvador that invested 3years ago, I believe they will have good value of their bitcoin by the time of bull next year.
1345  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The application of DIP and hodl in our local business. on: November 02, 2023, 03:19:55 PM
when we are adopting such with the way we run our normal business and local commodities now then nothing will comes out of it than loss.

If you are equating bitcoin hodling to other local goods, I think bitcoin dip is more profitable. The profit margin of bitcoin is not going to be the same with local goods because inflation will not affect bitcoin but when dealing with fiate, you are most likely to encounter reduced value in your purchasing power. Moreover, hodling bitcoin has a long time benefit.

Well more seriously about the local product dip that op raised, I think economically it is not helping the system. Price control board should be rejuvenated to put some action in mitigating on price increase in off and on season because you see that causing hyperinflation in the economy after every year. Government also need to do something to create preservative mechanism so that even perishable goods can be helped to sustain to atleast 6 months after an on season. I believe this is why food is not a major need in foreign country because they are preserved either by blending and packaging.
1346  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for November on: November 02, 2023, 02:32:50 PM
It is looking obvious that the bull will continue and strongly too. I'm tempted to look at the range of $40k resistance and this because most people fear that inflation may keep raising as the war between Israel and Palestine still going on, people will want to continue hedging with bitcoin and that will keep price action on the bull. Moreover, the year is ending and the halving getting closer while more investors keep DCA.
1347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you use multiple platforms for betting? on: November 02, 2023, 01:16:55 PM
I think the reason that some gamblers go for multiple betting platforms is to see the one that gives them better service and again odd, bonus or freebets. Sometimes if you look at the odds difference really you will see they are very insignificant except you are a huge bettor, then you want to take the advantage of the best odds.

If you are busy outside gambling, at a point you will settle for one because it takes a lot of time trying to move into a particular platform and out of another before you bet on your game and that consumes your time and also confuses you sometimes jumping from checking your bankroll to other exigencies.

I have also heard of some bettors attaching some spiritual connection as a reason why they sign up to multiple platforms, they choose a platform saying they get winning from it more than the other and so they retain it even if the odd is smaller.
1348  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's imagine you were the president of your country, How would your Economic on: November 02, 2023, 09:36:22 AM

the way cost prices are now in some countries is like hell, so I am still asking if you were the president for a year in your country, how would you treat your country economic growth what will be your plans as the supervisor over the country and how would your economic budget look like.

First, a year is not enough to put an ailing economic system in order, at least you could say a term of 4 years or 5 years as we know is the practice in most countries that is not practicing monarch system.

So to stick with your time frame, if I have that short time of one year, I will sack those corrupt officers who have been controlling the sectors of the government and change them with people who would deliver because I believe they are not effective and are diverting public funds to their personal use.

I would look at the infrastructure policy of the government and immediately start up in that area and that will create job and increase the GDP of the country.

I would also grant no interest loan to SME owners so that they can also increase employment. Employment is important in the economy because it lessens social unrestivenest as youths will be engaged in different jobs and won't have time to cause nuisance in the country.
1349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beginner needs your advices in gambling. on: November 02, 2023, 08:35:48 AM

Do you think Me starting gambling would effect me in my real life or make me addicted to gambling. What’s you suggestion and advices.

If you play with a lot of hope to win big maybe jackpot, that may not happen and that will lead into desperation but if you take it cool like a game and play with a low budget bankroll then whatever lose or losses you encounter will not affect you that much and you can come back to level up at the next game. But being a high staker, a lose would get you down and maybe few more losses will pull you down.

The way to be a reasonable gambler is to play with how much you can afford in losses and don't play with desperation because that will make you chase your losses which you lead you to being an addict. So don't take gambling as a source of income and if you win that is fine and when you lose you can move on easily and not sucking.
1350  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat & Crypto - Effective Expert Advise on: November 02, 2023, 07:04:27 AM

P.S. Bees don't waste their time explaining to flies that Honey is better than shit

First I like this quote.

So In conclusion, I respectfully ask "what is your Effective Expert Advise for a Person (me) that has enough Salary but still want more Financial Stability using cryptocurrency".

It is good that you have realized you need some other source of income than what you get as salary. Salary is what you get based on the work you do for your company or boss and you can be fired any day your boss woke up on the wrong side of the bed and by that time, your "enough salary" will be gone. In other words, no salary is enough because you are still under someone business.

So grow your own business. You already have crypto knowledge, focus on it. At the moment you have the opportunity to make more profit by DCA on bitcoin and wait for halving. I think that is what many hodlers are doing now until they are done with the upcoming bull run.
1351  Economy / Gambling / Re: Guide for newcomers Start a fun and profitable gambling entertainment journey o on: November 02, 2023, 04:37:42 AM
Welcome to the forum. You website looks nice, though it took sometime uploading here. I like the VIP club area.

Definitely you have to be more serious to present yourself more by getting a copper member so that your op will look more attractive.

For better coverage and publicity, running a signature campaign will expose you more. Wish you good luck.
1352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this how it start? (No or yes?) on: November 01, 2023, 08:54:22 PM
so am I becoming an addict? No.

I wouldn't conclude that you are becoming an addict because it is your first time but I can say you are chasing your lose. The reason I won't consider you an addict is that addict gamble whether they are losing or not, in other words it is not only when they are chasing loses that they gamble but they just can't do without gambling.

However, if you consistently have this kind of chasing attitude then you may as well enter into such addiction even when you never know because it is such factor that gets someone to be addicted.

1354  Economy / Economics / Re: Isn't Fiat the Real Ponzi on: November 01, 2023, 06:28:26 PM
Fiat only reduce in it value of purchase both you have something to quantify with what you have in fiat but Ponzi is as good as scam. With Ponzi no value is placed but anguish, fiat can be made more valuable by more investment and diversification is a sure way to help reduce the harsh effect on you. Don't rely on Ponzi because it is all a bubble waiting to burst but fiat always will have something to measure with.
Correct. Fiat is not a Ponzi, it only reduces value due to inflation but is not a form of Ponzi scheme. The way Ponzi works is by definition completely a scam where if you are not caught holding worthless fiat when everyone realizes that fiat is just useless paper, not much different from useless paper. But so far fiat is useful for transactions within a country. Yes the way fiat works is a little bad at the moment because creating new money to pay back old debt promises sustainable economic growth. Hence the presence of bitcoin as an alternative to fiat.

Moreover it is not the problem of fiat but the government that fiat is inflated. Government policy affect fiat and government know the right kind of policy to implement that will boost fiat more and get it stable and not inflated but most times government shy away from those policy. Again when there is war here and there it tends to cause some negative outcome to the economy both for the individual economy and global economy because different countries have contribution to deliver in the world economy and when this begins to drop because of the war it also affect fiat. So fiat is not a Ponzi and Ponzi is scam.
1355  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: High expectations as we de wait for di coming ATH on: November 01, 2023, 02:36:04 PM
ATH na certain for every halving season after 4 years, no think am. In fact e dey be like say this next year own go make sense because bitcoin self no gree drop unlike before by this time price go don dey come down but this one e still dey push up small small. Person wey no fit buy btc make the person try buy better altcoins at least top coins go still follow btc bull. So if na to DCA now e go still help to gather the coin small small. If person buy 10,000 own every two weeks from now till at least February for person wey no too hold cash, that will obviously help or you gather 100k put now because I think say we fit leave this price range anytime.
1356  Other / Politics & Society / Re: No Bread In Gaza - Killing For Food Will Start In Two, Three Days on: November 01, 2023, 10:52:01 AM
Looks like you were off by a couple days but in fact it does look like killing for food is now the norm over there.
Palestinians will never do that. Please, check your facts /.

Anyway, I also saw the video of that statement. I think what that depict is that the war has caused serious hardship in the Palestine territory making food a very scarce commodity. Of course that should be expected with the continuous bumping going on in the area. Hence that is a call for humanitarian support and not that human beings would take the life of another person for food. At least I believe it won't get to that, aids will come in at least from the arab countries.

1358  Economy / Economics / Re: Biting more than i can chew. How can i do better? on: November 01, 2023, 02:58:37 AM

The main reason I'm sharing this topic is to get your own opinions and advice so that I can do better. I believe it's because of poor financial management that I've fallen to this level. I've been doing things that I now realize were not the right things to do because I don't have any financial stability. Last week, I felt ashamed when people see how frustrated i am because I had bitten off more than I could chew. I'm open to opinions and helpful insights to start again, but this time in a more stable and responsible manner.

The good thing for you is that you already know what your problem is because it would have been bad if you couldn't trace where it all started for you, so now that you already know it is half solved.

My advise therefore is continue with your work and soon another big client will locate you and when you get back on your feet be wiser. Invest more and keep away friends that won't contribute meaningfully to your life. Be prudent with your finance this time around.
1359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Health Benefits of Gambling on: November 01, 2023, 01:45:58 AM
Like it is said, if you are a responsible gambler then you will see those benefits. A responsible gambler to me is someone who takes risk as far as he can afford and that already is a benefit because your mind is at peace whether you lose or not, you already taking the right step to be cool with yourself afterwards and that can help you relief stress instead of adding to it because of high staking risk that will increase your blood pressure when lose or even while the bet is going on.

I see the health benefit as what is imbedded in us to do as right thing first before that can come to us. For example an addict is not going to have such benefit because he is always restive with betting but a responsible gambler sees it as a game and games are made to help us relax.
1360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most you have ever lost in one session? on: October 31, 2023, 08:12:43 PM
I'm not a high staker so I might not be able to point to a certain lose that is painful for me. You can remember a lose base on how bad you feel about it. But I remember I have lost some good potential winning price that later didn't succeed either the last game failed and that has happened different times. Although it doesn't bother me because it is not my staking capital but potential winning price.

Talking about your loss, that is really big to say but I also believe you win very big too if you can lose such amount of money.
