2381  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc Good time to buy ? on: December 04, 2015, 12:37:07 AM
bitcoin is a good investment if you are long term minded. if you are indeed long term minded then you can safely buy bitcoin right now. only make sure you don't panic if the price goes down a few days in a row. this all can happen with bitcoin.
2382  Other / Off-topic / Re: DO YOU HAVE 1 BITCOIN? on: December 04, 2015, 12:30:17 AM
Now many people who have 1 btc, like very easy to earn 1 btc
different with ago, very difficult to have 1 btc

after the block halving will make it even much more difficult to earn at least 1 bitcoin. imagine what 1 bitcoin will be worth at some point in the future.
2383  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What is the next MtGox? on: December 03, 2015, 07:34:20 PM
cryptsy is by a huge distance not mtgox 2.0, but they are surely going to cause a lot problems if they don't care about their custommers. i hope they will release the funds of the people that are waiting for their cashout. then there isn't a problem anymore.
2384  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price rise is over on: December 03, 2015, 07:29:40 PM
Take your pills and calm down dude. We have 260 more days before halving.

The race for BTC price ll start withing the next 4 months.

The effect of halving from 25 to 12.5 could still be big. But in the future, the halving effect will be less. This time, the halving could double the price.

a lot people were saying that the halving will result in a 100% increase. that was when the price was around $250. if you stick to that prediction, then indeed, the price will surely double in value.
2385  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell now and buy again at $1300. on: December 03, 2015, 07:26:07 PM
sell low and buy high. you advice people to do so, and you benefit from buying cheap coins, right? investors aren't here to lose money.
2386  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will you Chinese cause another BOOM? on: December 03, 2015, 03:46:01 PM
china, that's where the big money is. they love to take a mortgage or a loan of a few hundred k to invest it in their stock exchange. if they invest 10% of that money in bitcoin, then you'll see the price go up to what we right now consider unrealistic price levels.
2387  Other / Archival / Re: should i save btc for future? on: December 03, 2015, 03:41:16 PM
Saving BTC is another form of gambling with bitcoins , in year 2013 some people bought BTC at 990$ and thought that would rise rise and rise but it fall from then and have not reached near to that till now , if they would had sold then at 1000$ they they ould had made some profit but they thought that BTC gonna be high in future.
I am not saying that holding bitcoin is a bad idea but i am saying use your wit and buy/sell them from time to time.

Really bought some bitcoins with that price ($900). Yeah buying some bitcoins and hold it. Is better to just buy when bitcoin is cheap. So that you can't lose so much money.

Hahaha and yeah bitcoins is like gambling, but with this you highly win more money with it than the real gambling Tongue

Bitcoin isn't like gambling. The way people invest in Bitcoin can be considered gambling. It has all to do with the people being fault here, and not Bitcoin. All investments have a certain risk, but if you invest wisely in Bitcoin, then the risk is very minimal, and you'll make a decent profit.

People are stupid if they buy at a peak and think it will go even higher. They are chasing quick not realistic profits. Don't blame Bitcoin for that. Blame the people.

lot's of people here are lacking common sense. people find longterm holding boring. that's why they are looking for quick bucks. they don't know that the longterm will give them more profit. they have $-$ in their eyes. that's it.
2388  Economy / Economics / Re: Shall I hold or invest with %12.5 premium per year ? on: December 03, 2015, 03:36:09 PM
50 : 50 will be good, safe as well as good ROI.

btw 12.5% is just awesome ,twice as much as what we get in our local banks

I should invest in such bank if possible.the place where I live we get 6.25 - 6.75 %
Here is also same i can't even get 10% annual interest with fixed deposit in banks. There is already lots of money in banks, not any idea with bank where to invest those.

here with my bank in the netherlands i can't get even 3% per year as fixed deposit. you can get 4 to 5% at most if you let your bank lock your money for 5 years minimum.
2389  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the most expensive thing, you bought with Bitcoin? Does price matter? on: December 03, 2015, 03:32:00 PM
i don't look back if i for example buy something for 0.25btc when the price is $200, and right now the price is $360. it doesn't make sense as we buy something when we need it. i don't think like if i keep holding a bit more then i can buy more for the same amount. if i need it now, i will buy it now.
2390  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New to bitcoin. What is most popular bitcoin wallet in the world? on: December 02, 2015, 09:41:57 PM
it's well known that the online wallet service from blockchain.info is by far the most popular wallet. i also use it, but only with small amounts as i don't want to leave much coins in any online wallet. the coins i have in my online wallet are probably 50% of what i would have in my physical wallet.
2391  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What things you want to Buy or Sell for Bitcoin ? but you can't! on: December 02, 2015, 09:35:49 PM
i would want to pay my gas with bitcoin which isn't possible at this point. i also would like to pay with bitcoin if i am looking to buy jeans or a jacket. i can already buy groceries with bitcoin here in the netherlands, so that is great for me   Grin
2392  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 1 BTC available for investement, what would you do? on: December 02, 2015, 09:29:38 PM
i strongly advice you to hold the 1 bitcoin that you have offline in a secure manner. the potential profits you can make with your 1 bitcoin are very low if you don't know where or how to invest it. try joining a signature campaign as that will give you a weekly or monthly reward. then you don't have to risk your bitcoin.
2393  Economy / Speculation / Re: Back to $ 400 soon? on: December 02, 2015, 09:22:25 PM
A steady grow to 400 usd is quite likley to happen. We are halfway there right.

But let's hope it goes steadily and with buy support increassing accordingly, this way we stay at 400.

i also prefer to see a stable growth over the comming months instead of a peak that will eventually fall back again. the slower we go up, the stronger the support levels will be. the comming months will be quite volatile due to the block halving comming closer and closer. i think we will see $400 this month. i just hope we can manage to support it and maybe even push the price to the $420/$430 level.
2394  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $500 during december? on: December 02, 2015, 09:16:26 PM
I still expect Bitcoin to see $300 before the end of the year, the fundimentals are still negative overall.

$500 sometime NEXT year I expect, but probably not 'till May or June - a month or two before the block reward halfing the speculators will get active in buying, drive the price up probably 50-70% or so (I won't be shocked if I'm underestimating the jump), then a month or two after the halfing it will settle back down some but not to what the floor was before the halfing.

There is ZERO certainty about any "rally before Christmas", I think the last bump was a "pump and dump" not a rally.

$354 and dropping - yup the "fact" it's holding at $360 was a mirage.

Yes $300 or something very close to it is possible. But this would be the absolute bottom imo.
So this could be an great opportunity to increase your BTC stash. See it as kind of a christmas present! Grin

$300 is definitely possible, but i think it's more likely we see the price go over $400 rather than going to very close $300.
2395  Economy / Speculation / Re: ~360 - Break out up, or down? on: December 02, 2015, 09:08:52 PM
Big drop in this morning, in coindesk from 379 down to 364. Cheesy

I think this price have manipulated by some people who do not want bitcoin going to 400. Tongue

it's what we consider a normal correction nowadays. i won't be surprised if we see the price back at $380 tomorrow or the day after that. it goes up $20, and it goes down $20. it's very predictable. people make nice profits when they ride these waves.

If it's so predictable then I can assume you put your buy orders in at 360, and your sell orders in at 380 right? because it's just going to bounce from 360 to 380 and back to the end of time right, no risk involved  Grin

i do some day trading from time to time. and yes, i do use these price swings to make some profit. otherwise i wouldn't mention it Smiley
2396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's stopping people from using bitcoin? on: December 02, 2015, 09:05:56 PM
Security is also a big issue. You cannot expect the normal person on the street to be able to keep their coins safe. Its too hard for them.

why not? because they don't know how to create a secure offline cold storage? it's not hard at all. it's just a matter of saving your wallet file to a thumb drive. it also doesn't require you a lot effort to create a paper wallet. if you meant something else, please explain.
2397  Economy / Speculation / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: December 01, 2015, 04:48:35 PM
The future project can be that paypal will allow to trade bitcoins, big shows(like amazon) will integrate bitcoin as the payment method etc.
It's impossible that paypal will officially allow bitcoin. Paypal don't like to deal with his rivals.

I wouldn't exclude this out. It's a possible thing that could happen with paypal if they figure out a way to get some profits of off it too.

the louder paypal says it won't happen, the more i believe it will happen. paypal can surely make profits if they at some point include a bitcoin balance in every paypal account. it can also function as sort of exchange to convert fiat balance to btc balance and vice versa. it's something they must consider.

2399  Economy / Speculation / Re: what is The reason behind new bubble in bitcoin price? on: December 01, 2015, 04:38:39 PM
All of you are so wrong!

The real reason is this:

Satoshi Nakamoto FARTED and MOVED his coins!!!

joke aside, it could certainly be that satoshi is playing with the market and his 1M coins, whit that amount he can manipulate any exchange like nothing, he can even manipulate multiple exchange without problem

Come on I thought Satoshis addresses are well known and monitored all of the time! If he would move one his coin the whole Bitcoin world would know this in the next 5 minutes!

I highly doubt this is possible!

a small correction here... people assume to know what addresses satoshi owns. it could very well be another very early miner with still a lot untouched coins in his/her wallet. i really don't think satoshi is playing with his coins at all. it would simply draw too much attention as there arent many peope with such a load of coins.
2400  Economy / Speculation / Re: Roughly 8 months to go before the next having. What will the impact on price be? on: December 01, 2015, 04:33:48 PM
it is very likely to see the price go up significantly. i do however think that we should not expect anything in the range of $2000 - $3000. if we can manage to touch $1000 again, then we have done an amazing job. i do hope the $1000 will hold as the volatility in these months will be extremely heavy.
