Just have to be careful that it doesn't get too "industrialized" with the reporting .

There is the risk with any incentive that the best intentions get used by those with malignant purpose.

For instance I can report an entire thread full of account farmers with a single report - or I can report each user individually to get a badge.

LOL, you even have a problem with people getting a freaking forum badge which has no monetary value rather being only an incentive to encourage non-moderators to do more reporting?
This is only to encourage more people to do some reports and I think having a badge should become common after a few days.
I can also report a whole topic but sometimes there are some threads filled with spam but the thread itself is not the problem so that we could report and get rid of it.
Both the badge idea and report counter idea are great IMHO, both of them could be encouraging.

Blah

I'm saving my merits for the first 6 people getting the badge. +1. though we need more designs.
2382  Other / Meta / Re: Seeking reporter badge images on: July 25, 2018, 03:26:45 AM
I have another thought, how about adding "Reports" under "Posts"? this badge idea is actually brilliant and I hope that in the next few days you could find the best design to properly implement it, but having (good) reports added under our forum names also could do the job, it might even provide more incentive for people to compete and have a bigger report count.

Disclaimer: this is my idea but if somebody else has already suggested this please don't ban me for plagiarising, I might have picked this idea from somewhere but this post is from my head. also you should ignore the redacted part, that's something which I wish we could also implement but this is not the place to discuss it.
2383  Other / Meta / Re: [CLUB]The SpamBuster's Team of volunteers!TEST RUN!2 Cases open,over 3000 acc on: July 25, 2018, 01:34:43 AM

I will  work on my reports to join this club soon!

Great idea, you'll receive merit from me for joining this club, I wish we could have some help from the admin to provide the report stats of people joining here and then merit sources could give one merit for every 300 accurate reports of the members of this club.

We could update our report stats everytime we have already reported 300 good reports and receive 1 merit for our update, I'm suggesting this to encourage lower rank members to join this stripe porn club lol and help the moderators.
2384  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk trolls, dysfunction and all out flame wars. Guide to the scandals. on: July 25, 2018, 01:12:09 AM
Hey I'm not a troll, I will remember your name for the future when I post a thread about merit whores I will include your name to return the favor, just wait. Wink

Look, the above is trolling. I'd appreciate what you have done, posting this here might help theymos to wake up and see that some DT members are really abusing the trust system.
Trolling would be like going after a trusted member for doing completely nothing wrong, complaining about the actions of allegedly trusted individuals is not trolling.

Why is this scam still in pre-ICO stage? also they never paid for signature campaign garbage posts I have made for 2 weeks now. where can I complain that forum admin has scammed a little cute troll named digiarin? I want justice. Wink

It says that pre-ICO ends first of July, what a lazy team, they're not even updating their scam ICO thread.

I'm posting this on page 109, in a few hours I'm going to report all of the spam and shill posts to see if this is still a great project or just they have hired some bumping service to post here.
2387  Economy / Reputation / Re: SebastianJu accepts transaction buying/selling bitcointalk accounts on: July 24, 2018, 10:48:23 PM
Very few people are so corrupt that they will leave negative ratings against people that speak out against them

Like OgNasty for example? being so corrupt to leave me a negative rating after speaking against him.

won’t get tagged because he isn’t weak enough to be unable to defend his actions. He would win a debate of the issue on its merits.

I would very much like to see how he is going to win this debate if he is tagged by a DT member, I wish there were some good DT1 member who could have tagged SebastianJu for escrowing account deals. unfortunately people around here are too coward to do anything.

Read more about it here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1102721.msg42549551#msg42549551

EDIT: what is this dude saying posting below my post? what does this old timer trust abuser wants from me? I wonder what could happen if account sales were banned by the forum? I'm sure ogy and friends could've found another way at earning escrow fees.
2388  Economy / Services / Re: Campaign manager digaran at your service! on: July 23, 2018, 12:37:07 PM
Bump, available for legit campaigns, no scam ICO crap bounty.
Also if you are wondering about my negative trust score, I'm a victim of trust abuse by some old time trust abusers, you could check my trust page and see it for yourself. if you say or do something that a DT member doesn't like, they would tag you with red, this is the standard sanctioned by forum admin for years.
2389  Economy / Reputation / Re: SebastianJu accepts transaction buying/selling bitcointalk accounts on: July 23, 2018, 11:59:28 AM
Bump, unbelievable seeing that SebastianJu is still walking around with no red tags, I know that you are afraid of OgNasty, I'm just hoping for the best.

Doing escrow of buying and selling account is obviously tolerating the transaction of an account being transferred to someone else. Isn't being untrustworthy?
I don't like it particularly, but I'm not going there with the tagging.  That goes for all escrows.  The purpose of an escrow is to keep the buyer and seller safe, which is what SebastianJu was doing.  That's necessary with bitcoin, and I would probably venture that escrow has been used for other things I wouldn't agree with--I don't have examples, just my suspicion, and I'm not talking about SebastianJu in particular.  But every situation is different.

In this case, it's bitcointalk accounts and he might not agree with my stance that account buyers & sellers are killing this forum and can be used to scam.  I pick my battles, and this isn't one of them.

Hear me out will you? if SebastianJu is not tagged with red left and right, people will use his service to buy and sell accounts, your great job at tagging account sales would be wasted if people could bypass somebody like you on DT2 and trade accounts safely. SebastianJu is not going to stop this because he is getting a fee for escrowing no matter what is the deal, if he is tagged though he will stop doing it.
2390  Other / Meta / Re: bitmover Merit Source Application - and thoughts on Brazilian Bitcoin Community on: July 23, 2018, 05:55:53 AM
You have included some English posts, you have also merited some post in Filipino local board, why? do you understand the language or you just handed out a merit blindly? overall I don't find you well established to take the position of a merit source but this is just my personal opinion. maybe you could be a good choice for your local board.
2391  Other / Meta / Re: Admin - Idea: Courses [Video Tutorial - Getting Started with Bitcoin Wallet] on: July 23, 2018, 12:53:14 AM
Thank you mate. I really don't get much time however I will be working on few more videos tomorrow. Hopefully I will add them once I finish. At this moment I am struggling with image placing. Hopefully I will be able to post image soon. Good to have your feedback by the way.

Hey ipwb, you could buy copper membership to post images by visiting this page don't be cheap, pay a few bucks and be able to post images. if any merits are left on me by the time you are above member rank I will also give you merits. for now I don't trust you enough to give you any merits.

2393  Other / Meta / Re: Buying and Selling BCT Accounts on: July 22, 2018, 09:23:08 PM
We need to ban account sales because after finding out that some trusted escrows are dealing with account sales, it would be hard to find account sellers and buyers to tag them with red. people are going to use such escrow agents to get away scot free.
#Banaccountsales.
2394  Other / Archival / Re: Voluntary service to defend your case! on: July 21, 2018, 02:05:39 PM
Bump, I have just added OgNasty to the second post. no wonder suchmoon has countered OgNasty's red tags on people, I'm going to change my stance about suchmoon in a few weeks, first I need to evaluate the situation and I might even start commending suchmoon for countering OgNasty's tags, if he is going to stay on DT1 after abusing the trust system in so many ways then I only see one alternative to deal with this trust abuser: by countering every single red tags left on people by OgNasty except mine.
2395  Economy / Reputation / Re: Same address question on: July 21, 2018, 09:20:21 AM
You'll sign with your address and ask the other user to sign from the same address, if they failed to sign from your address it means they are not in control of your address and they would get tagged while you'll get no tag.
2396  Other / Meta / Re: Negative trust everywhere on: July 21, 2018, 07:40:05 AM
There are many campaigns accepting negative trust members, that means default trust holds no value in this forum. if we had a system where people could only tag scammers with real risked amount, we could identify who is really a scammer or who is not.
I have already suggested for a new system "reputation" but that's just me.

What do you really want ? Hard to interpret your suggestion as it is contradicting.

I want to have a system where only scammers receive a red tag not giving freedom to a selected few and let them virtually do as they please. you either get tagged with a risked BTC amount and will have a red trust score or you'd get tagged with no risked BTC amount and receive negative reputation score.
Let the trust system to be used only for scammers and trades with real Bitcoin amounts being involved to determine the trust scores.

We shouldn't put every egg in a single basket and say whoever receives negative trust is scammer or untrustworthy. I suggest for 2 systems driving from trust system, one would be reputation score system and the other would be trust score system.

In this forum it doesn't matter if you are not a scammer, once you receive a red trust people would call you scammer and that is wrong in so many ways.
2397  Other / Meta / Re: Most "generous" merit giver,I found till now on: July 21, 2018, 07:25:33 AM
I don't think that is a good idea, asking for merit is considered as merit begging right? Especially when asking thru pm's and posting inside the forum. You're very sarcastic men!

I'm a man not men, lol. also what I said is true, he is giving merits to people posting on his thread I'm just too lazy to find it. asking for merit from merit sources is not begging if they have missed your good posts, they are not obligated to read every single post, you could help them to find your meritable posts by asking them if they have a dedicated thread to giveaway merits.

Some merit sources like OgNasty and suchmoon would tag you with red if you ask them for merits but I would personally find your good posts and merit them.
2398  Other / Meta / Re: Most "generous" merit giver,I found till now on: July 21, 2018, 06:19:38 AM
How old are you? lol don't you know how to use ruler in paint to underline properly? QuestioningAuthority is a merit source and if you are a quality poster you could ask him to find your good posts and merit them.
2399  Economy / Services / Re: [ANN] SebastianJu - Legendary Escrow Service - Escrowed over 8150 BTC on: July 20, 2018, 03:33:43 PM
I only take bitcointalk forum accounts into escrow whose risked amount are at least $50 per account. Otherwise the risk i can help avoiding and the amount of time i have to implement are in no sane proportion.

For how many years have you been escrowing for Bitcointalk account sales? will you keep the identity of your clients confidential at all times or will you give out the information if asked by a DT member? do you know that the community frowns account sales yet you have done it for years just to get your fee?
Are you going to stop acting as escrow for account deals or are you going to continue doing this for a fee? I'm not surprised to see nobody is questioning what you are doing because they're afraid of your sponsor OgNasty. I consider both of you untrustworthy and not fit to act as escrow for anything because you both have been on this business of receiving and sending positive trust for each other while doing account sale escrowing with no issue.

No matter how you put it, SebastianJu has escrowed for account sales for years while some people have dedicated their time on fighting against account sales of Bitcointalk. I'd also like to ask from people who have used this escrow for buying or selling Bitcointalk accounts to come forward with information and post their evidence on reputation board. there is also a thread in there about this scandal. read and learn how to properly report such activity.
2400  Economy / Reputation / Re: 🔴💥 SCAMS of our bitcointalk 💥 on: July 20, 2018, 03:08:09 PM
If this is true then all of the involved parties must receive negative trust. their team members, managers and essentially anybody actively promoting these scam projects. if you see them with no red tags, start shouting about it so that DT members see them and tag them.
Thank you.
