Yup just lost the 0.01 battle for now - BTC popped over $12K.

Looks like this is going to be ugly  Roll Eyes

Well, we just lost that unnecessary extra zero again.  I would be very happy if we can hang on over that level for now...  But I will grant you it could go either way.

Bitcoin just took a chunk out of alts and gained in dominance, which is kind of inevitable in this bullish phase - and it's been carnage in altland, but hey, Monero often slingshots up after a BTC run steadies.  Let's see if it can weather this storm.

I don't like it, but my magic chart has low 0.0080's to low -90s until early December.  If it goes below that, it just says 'you have no maps of this area'.  Stupid magic chart anyway.

Well to be honest i expected that for next next week, so i think there will be healing for a weeks time, but as i said. If BTC is gaining dominance above €11k we could revisit low 0,008's -maybe even sub 0,008's in November so i just adjusted my buy orders  Roll Eyes Grin

Thanks  Grin
Let's see if that turns out to be a good desicion, but i think i can buy back in at 0,0090-0,0088 levels, so let's have a cup of tea and see what the days bring along  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

You're looking pretty genius-y so far...

Looks like the whole alt sector is doing a pullback wile big daddy rallies.  We are breaking the bullrun trendline.  Probably see a bounce somewhere down there...

I will point out this volume is somewhat anemic though.

It’s really disheartening to see it just fall away.

Maybe I’m wrong and it just won’t recover to ATH.

Just have a cup of tea and wait until the next summer, you will be delighted as far as i can tell  Grin Grin Grin

Thank's for the laurels, but i just did check some correlations to the last years and i found this similarity so i think until first week of November to mid November it will get a bit bloody on the streets but after that we should all fasten our seat belts and see Monero outperform itself  Roll Eyes Cool Grin
IF BTC rallies close to €11k i think we will see sub 0,008 hence all the weak hands are selling for BTC gains and then buy back in  Shocked Wink

I think we are in the same phase as in February/March 2016 so you should consider selling some of your stock (10-50%) and wait two months, then you should by back at 30-50% plus
When you have done that, fasten your seat belts, then the ride will be quick and dirty   Roll Eyes Grin Grin Grin

(do not take this as an advice, do your own reading and calculations)

Damn it I need glasses for the fine print!  I sold everything, and now there was just a 6000 xmr buy up to 0.018 on Binance  Cheesy

Just kidding.  I never sell.

50%!  Braver than I.  I was waiting for the 0.0105 level, and it came.    Below that, I don't see any clear stopping point until the 80's (and that I just close my eyes and pretend isn't there)
There is still a lot of buying at this level, we will see where it ends.  You usually have it right, so good luck to you.

Thanks  Grin

You’re probably right!

What’s your longer term (2-3yr) outlook?

Personally looking at factors like adoption, tx count, state of the code base and emission curve, I see Monero hitting 800usd ish over next 3 years.

I don't have a 2-3 year outlook, i am in for live, BUT in terms of value towards BTC i think (as it looks so far) in June 2021 we will have a mark close to the last ATH  Grin Cheesy

Today Amazon will make you jump through hoops.
Uber will tell on you to the tax authorities.
Twitter will ban you.
Bitcoin still works though.
Youtube will ban you.
Popular cities are banning AirBnb.
Wikipedia is kidnapped by the left.

Well, then the DEV's and the monero community have to release 17.2.0 for GUI and CLI quite urgently in my opinion

I can connect my wallet to my private node without any problems, but on my personal PC i am stuck at block 2210720 following message being delivered all the time

Code:

2020-10-18 14:13:51.983 I SYNCHRONIZATION started
2020-10-18 14:13:53.827 W monerod is now disconnected from the network

Release binaries that include the fix will follow shortly.

Speculating, but the hashrate dropped from 1.924 to 1.502 GH/s after yesterday’s fork. Which is about a 22% decline. Might be that a botnet was not able to update their ‘remote miners’. Can we somewhere see the hashrate on the minority chain, it might be that it is still going at about a quarter of the hashrate.

Yeah, that will probably bee the main reason, so another security feature from Monero  Grin Grin Grin
