241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one did you use to gamble with more on: December 25, 2023, 09:27:31 PM
Betting before matches starts seems a bit dangerous for sports betting, I don't feel like the handicaps are real anymore after consecutive losses from the past months. I'm placing my bets on mid game on live matches because you can see the actual team there, their play, injury reports, live handicaps, etc. I always bet on NBA, and I can say that live betting is way more exciting than betting on pre-matches, if you know you know.

I've got an issue with ESPN on news about the every team injury reports, it seems like it is not accurate anymore, do you guys have other channels for this one? trying to bet on a live match.
242  Economy / Economics / Re: Will they ever be able to afford a house? on: December 25, 2023, 09:07:02 PM
Yeah right now it’s very tough for that generation. If they don’t already own a home, getting one is simply far fetched, with record breaking home prices and decade high interest rates.
Yeah pretty hard for us, imagine land has gone up to 10x from the city and double from the provinces, so basically the best option for us in the near future is to live in the province with a pretty simple life with the opportunities waiting there. We have a slow paced economy, so I'll be in province when I retire, perhaps that is the most ideal for an old man  aight?

The issue is worse because rents are up and along with inflation for everything else so people get to save less, they save less and they will never safe up for the down payment to get a mortgage. Hence why most are stuck renting forever.
Inflation in my country is continuously increasing, today it is up to 6% what more in the coming years? I don't want to rent forever please...
243  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Actionable steps to be 10x better than you're on: December 25, 2023, 08:40:22 PM
To grow faster,
* I believe you gotta focus on yourself,
Sorry OP but I deleted all the words you advice after this one coz I think all of it will just be flowing after focusing on this one. Focusing on oneself is a key factor in trading, not saying it's the only thing you need just a key factor, because self-growth is so much more than just a green profit. By simply focusing on yourself you can achieve such things like self-awareness, increase your motivation, and will have a better-decision making which is crucial in trading.

But you gotta focus on your first!!! Develop yourself intentionally
Self-development in other word. Strive to upgrade yourself to your best version.

You'll be hated after you achieve all of ‘em but don't fold or neglect what you've been doing,  it's only proof you're doing something right.
With this in no distant time you will be 10x better than you're.
They hate it when they see it falling apart at first, but that debris will be your stepping stone. You don't need to be better than anyone else, you just have to be the better version of yourself progressively.
244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know when to ride and stop! on: December 25, 2023, 07:55:58 PM
Don’t increase your bet when you are losing because it will just amplify your loss immediately once you are in bad streak. Always test the water before you increase your bet.  Wink
This is what I wanted and kept working on with myself. It's tough not to do this because you are trying to get back what you have lost and possibly profit into "stopping" betting but if that moment comes, that's not going to be a benefit for you but for the house.
Same bud. Every time I lose, I always try to double my next bet trying to get back what I've lost from previous round, I think this is just normal and you don't have to blame it to yourself for doing that. I think every gambler has this strategy especially on baccarat or any 50/50 chance of game because it is always working but you also need a huge capital to do so. However, if it is your unlucky day, doubling your bet losses after losses might be a bad idea.

Sharing my recent juicy win using small bankroll below! At first I’m hesitant to ride but it takes courage to increase bet slowly especially if you have small bankroll.
A great win for you OP. I do hope that you get to continue winning. It's a great share. Hoping the members here could recreate  Shocked
In my country, we do have a term for that, like the consecutive results but I don't wanna say it coz it is NSFW term in my language  Grin
245  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance: get rich or die trying on: December 25, 2023, 06:39:15 PM
It's only the US that they need to comply with, they are doing it in almost every country, but since we do have different Government (Interest, Point of view, judgement, and many more) they are having hard time to deal with all of this, In fact it is not only the US that are trying to sanction them. Binance is a huge company on its industry, I guess none of their competitor is on their level, you can see it after CZ paying such a huge amount of fine without announcing its closure, that means they are protecting their future stand perhaps they already have what it takes to jump on this hurdle.
246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I don’t think bitcoin is now decentralized on: December 25, 2023, 06:02:25 PM
For those of us who do small transactions, the difficulty is especially high as small transactions are charged more. Those who are charging more are working earlier and those who are charging less are doing it later. In my opinion, to reduce these charges, we all need to be a little more stable and if we are stable, the transaction fees will be reduced.
The problem with decentralized system is that it cannot attain stability, you cannot control anything so you just go with how the system/network flow. It doesn't matter how huge or small the amount is, if depends on the miners who create blocks for the next one, and as a decentralized network you cannot control the miner to go first with your transaction, and if you were in their shoes you would go with higher payment typically with huge amount of money.

As we reduce transactions the mempool congestion will decrease and as congestion decreases high transaction fees will decrease.
I mean how do we reduce the transactions? we are decentralized. You cannot just tell anyone to stop doing transaction for a moment.
247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Prove me wrong: Gambling is both more relaxing and entertaining than trading! on: December 25, 2023, 05:22:20 PM
It might just be me but perpetual futures are also entertaining.
It is stressful for me to watch the market especially when you can see that all the hours you have spent on analyzing the market seemed to be wrong. It is not entertaining for, also even if I get my position correct and turns out to be a nice position tho.

Relaxing though? Ugh. I think this sounds a bit out of place.
Hmm, I think we can say that gambling is entertaining simply because it is made for entertainment haha. "Out of place" is quite harsh to describe it, I can see that it is your personal preference thus trading is more entertaining for you.

If someone wants to relax and do something laid back they better just watch a sports match without having bet anything, just for the fun of it.  Cheesy
Wouldn't be much relaxing if to sleep? nah just kidding. Watching sports is relaxing, thrilling if you put some bet on it. I cannot watch sports without bet man, I mean I want to feel something while watching gives me more attention to the play/fight with a bet.

249  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you rather start/grow a business from scratch or buy an existing business? on: December 23, 2023, 08:39:18 PM
I like both of these things, but before I decide to buy an existing business, it is important that I have sufficient experience in these matters.
On which I think only a few of us can understand. You  can't just go to a businessman and offer to buy his business.

For me business from scratch is hard to attain, building it all the way up would require so much time and passion unlike buying a business that if it makes profit and have a good cash flow you can take it and get passively from it. So I'll just a buy business instead but before that there are some things I need to consider like the timing, my skills if it relevant to the business, its market condition, etc. This topic is ultimately depends on each of us, some of us may find their success from zero and some of us may acquire a maintaining number. There's no better if you know all the advantages, you just need to consider the factors.
250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can loneliness make one addicted to gambling on: December 23, 2023, 08:09:32 PM
Yes, loneliness can make one a gambling addict. Loneliness can make one become addicted to other things like drugs, alcohol, sex, and masturbation, so it's the same thing with gambling.
I agree, gambling is not different from those things, and everything can be addictive when not used or taken moderately.

When you're lonely and unhappy, you begin to look for things to fill up your time and reduce the sadness. This happens subconsciously most times because you don't make a conscious effort to look for these things, it's just what your mind wants.
I have experienced to be lonely, and from my experience, being lonely is addictive especially when you can do almost everything you can be it gambling, alcohol, solo traveling, and many more. Sometimes those things are just the effect of being lonely, I come to think that these things are practically reversed. It is not the gambling, drugs, alcohol that makes us addictive, it is because of being free from other people and the real addiction is the feeling of being lonely.
251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which type of gambling have more gambling addicts ? on: December 23, 2023, 07:48:17 PM
Definitely sports betting and possibly E-sports as there's actually a huge number of tournaments and leagues and currently some gambling sites covered all of them and you can easily access using mobile phone,
Yeah, I agree, basically we can say that Sports betting have the most number of users especially on elite leagues like NBA, Football leagues across the globe, but we can put a note where number of people in that type of gambling does not determine the highest number of gamble addicts. It is possible, highly possible but we can't find data on that one.

which anyone can easily be addicted this days. We don't have an actual data of course and this is only my assumptions but I think I am right, especially some of the slots providers do have strict a restriction rather than sports betting. Or maybe the other way around?
For me repeating games like slots and card games are highly addictive as well because the money is just flowing and circling back, you win then lose, then tomorrow you come back and win again and it repeats and I think that's more addictive than betting on sports since sports are real people playing, there are only schedule on the play, but I can see that bets on sports betting is tremendously higher than usual gambling games.
252  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks secret door for cheaper cash on: December 23, 2023, 07:06:55 PM
If you think the economics of banks are that simple, you are very wrong, the economics of banks are so complex that even imagining it is sickening.
Complex if you explore every part of it, but for us, one who uses banks it is pretty clear. Banks are designed to make money, not to store. So if you are one of their customers, you are part of their large scheme. Sickening, big YES, Imagine depositing in a bank, you take a loan and they put interest on that loan, basically you are paying interest from your money.

But as far as I understand, the banks park their money mostly in securities and loans to their customers, then some in investments, businesses, etc. And because of this, during an economic crisis, many banks will limit their customers from making loans and withdrawing money, because most of their money is somewhere else and when everyone withdraws money from them it means it will disrupt their operations and could cause them to collapse.
Banks are businesses around the world, tbanks do invest the money from their depositors and make that money grow while making money with their customers from charges of keeping their money. If you read the terms and agreement when a crisis happen, you'll understand that you don't matter to them as long as they are continue earning. Bankruptcy affects their customer not them, it is not their money in the first place, customers are the bank, and behind those are just puppeters.
253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A good or bad way to avoid high transaction fee? on: December 23, 2023, 05:49:03 PM
I thought it was a solution to the high transaction fees but then I saw that it's just pegged tokens which isn't really a good solution,
It is a solution but not to avoid high transaction fees, the nature is altcoin not totally bitcoin. So when you move your bitcoin to binance, it is real bitcoin but when you start moving it to other network like Binance smart chain (BSC) your bitcoin will be pegged, so technically it won't be Bitcoin anymore... this solution is just to fasten transfers but using other network and pegged tokens.

I'm getting tired of waiting for the transaction fees to go down though, I'm not sure how long I can wait for the ordinals to lose its charm.
It is expected to be higher in coming days, we know it is bullish and the volume is getting higher, you should know that if you want to transact with lower fees, the time is now. As you have said, you're not sure when it will go down, perhaps that right there when you need to decide. We don't know how long, but I'm pretty sure it'll take months. However, I'd say you can keep holding your bitcoin coz we are near in the exciting part of the market.
254  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Is Better Than Digital Gold on: December 22, 2023, 09:02:05 PM
Bitcoin and Digital Gold are both good investment for future. I want to buy both if I have a lot of money. By the way, if I have 10000$, then I buy crypto 5000$, gold 2500$ and others 2500$ for bussiness. I am also love crypto than gold.
Having both is good but if you have been in Bitcoin for quite a while, you got to choose what you know has the better return.
Yeah I think the real reason why we always compare bitcoin to gold is because of high potential return. It's been more 10 years, and we all know which gives a better return. We've seen and heard a lot of stories, these two assets are on top list. However, we do all have our own preferences when it comes to invest, by learning the pros and cons we can weigh which is which.

Not going against with your distribution but if I have that amount, I'll set aside Bitcoin first and let later on do my own business from the profits that I'll make from holding bitcoin.
I can't see his move the best but it is better than having none. Choosing gold actually is best if you are concern about the security, we know gold is getting more expensive per gram unlike Bitcoin that has a season, it would take so much time to get a wild profit though relatively you can also make millions in span of what, 6, 9 months. He can also do the other way around, the profit from business to capitalized on bitcoin which is more secure I think.
255  Economy / Gambling / Re: Does anyone find the spate of online casinos a bit uninspired? on: December 22, 2023, 08:33:11 PM
The fact is that,  there is no way we can avoid scam casino projects and this is due to the decentralized nature of the market,
Well at first  it is hard to spot which online casino is a scam, but then time will tell us when people start complaining about their funds being deducted or worse it is disappearing from their accounts with no unreasonably. Decentralization makes it hard so we need to take care, research online, read reviews, and test actually the site.

many times we are meant to believe that any casino project that just launched will serve their client well but at some point,  it becomes a tussle to get that happen in most especially in an era where the casino business become so lucrative and many fake teams find it attractive to get involved in it without taking the time to properly reflect on the needed necessities before diving into the business.
Casino business is booming because these days people won't waste their time pulling up in a casino, drink some beer, talk casually, it really takes so much energy to go to physical casino rather than sit in a chair open your pc and gamble. I can't blame others for falling in casino scams, it is what it is lesson learned and you just have to move on and find more reliable and legit online casino. Casino business competition has risen significantly over the past few years, more and more casino scams will appear, you just have to stick what works fine with you. Don't get too attracted with deposit bonuses lol.
256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Introducing bitcoin to the orphans on my birthday on: December 22, 2023, 08:19:20 PM
You are a great example bro. Hope this initiative will be done also by us who managed to make some $ on bitcoin, or cryptocurrency in general.

This action is vital to our society, sharing innovative ideas with young minds to be creative and be inspired. I'm pretty sure there are a few kids in that orphanage that still think about Bitcoin at this moment, imagining things and playing scenarios in their heads. Pretty unfortunate for those kids who lack of privilege. It's holiday season, and giving shouldn't be that hard for us who earn with crypto, let's spread kindness in all forms! I wish you a happy birthday OP, keep breaking the barriers! *hands down*
257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling affect your relationship? on: December 22, 2023, 07:34:30 PM
Yes, Gambling addiction has strained a lot of relationships through financial instabilities emotional turmoil, social isolation, and family problems. Gambling which was meant to be a popular kind of entertainment for many and was designed to provide a temporary escape from everyday life and also help one to be more observant mentally task your brain and it is also good for your mental brain. When it becomes an addiction it causes financial strain the strain can manifest in various ways including the loss of shared savings, debt accumulation, and financial secrecy which may lead to strained communication between partners. This communication breakdown can prevent couples, friends, and associates from working together.

Gambling has caused lots of strain in relationships especially from the standpoint of addiction.
Gambling itself may not cause a lot of problem with people involved in the relationship, but if gambling consumes more time, or worst becomes an addiction then it is not only the relationship will have an issue it will be also become a personal issue. I believe mere gambling would not caused that much of a problem if you only entertain yourself.

The financial imbalance caused by gambling isn't cool with the parties involved, it makes parties prioritise gambling over responsibilities thereby leaving a sense of neglect to the other party.
Finance alone would heavily affect, more problematic with gambling. Both end should meet in the middle if one party do really want to gamble, and would not touch the finance problem, again because of addiction.

The negative effect of gambling on relationships can never be overemphasised.
I don't think there is a word 'overemphasize', best to describe it is that gambling affects basically everything from personal to finance.
258  Economy / Economics / Re: Setting up financial structures before going into the family way on: December 22, 2023, 06:50:00 PM
Money cannot guarantee happiness at all, but if you don't have money, let alone being happy, it's very difficult to smile. And it doesn't all have to be money, but it all requires money. So, as a man, let's make as much money as possible....
Not guaranteed, but you can buy happiness. Still rich people will say, 'you don't need money to be happy' that's BS, they can just say it because they have it and buy happiness.

As a man, our core is to provide, so yes, gain money as much as you can coz at the end of the day that's what we are going to do anyway.

And sometimes having a relationship as husband and wife is quite difficult and complicated.
As man in a relationship, I'd say it is true, things doesn't go as you both always wanted so there'll be misunderstandings. It is very complicated, or maybe it is an understatement.

Sometimes when a husband earns less than his wife, it is the husband who feels humiliated. And sometimes a wife becomes a little big-headed, which in the household should be, the husband is the head of the family and the husband is the one who manages everything.
Well I guess that matter should be talked in the table, coz I think it doesn't matter who earn less, otherwise, but the other should adjust. If you, as a man earn more than your wife, then obviously you are more likely to be busy with your work, then that's the time you can be more dominant in the house where you can demand your wife to do the household chores.
259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 22, 2023, 05:59:51 PM
Oh happy Friday. Today we get one of my favorite NBA matchups, the Sacramento Kings vs the Phoenix Suns. With the Suns still dealing with injuries the Kings are the favorites and they also have the better record. The Suns arguably have the better roster though, maybe even with their injuries, so I’m expecting a close game tonight.

Without KD, I doubt Suns can beat Kings that beat them badly before. Suns best chance is for Booker to become in perfect shape to provide a massive score that needed to catch with Kings aggressive. Without Book scoring, I doubt that they can give Kings a close fight with Fox and Sabonis duo is always very consistent with their game.
Even with KD, I don't think they can beat the Kings, this team has been playing so good since last season, I even bet on them outrightly to win the championship last season. I agree, Kings are pretty aggressive when it comes to their offense, inbounding the ball so fast like they only have 10 seconds on the shot clock plus Sabonis is a great center player who can make play and shoot himself. Something is weird with Booker these days, he got 2-12 FG when they faced Toronto, I ain't see him with 40 points anymore, tho arguably because there is Beal and KD who can score the same.
I will go for Kings on this match up due to KD absence. He is confirmed rule out for tonights game so no more surprise on this match.
KD and Beal won't be playing tonight, Imma go Kings, AGAIN.
260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can I ask for refund if casino game has bugs? on: December 22, 2023, 05:23:13 PM

Your statement is a facts when it regards to refund since some casino stated it on ToS that a game with technical problem will be resulted to void once proven. The problem is the majority of game with software problem that resulted to lose for players is very hard to prove to the casino because players doesn’t have solid proof on this claim unlike casino that can review the game in the backend of the website.

Mostly, Casino manage to confiscate a win from a game with bug compared to players getting a refund to a game with bug.

Until the gambler try to prove the error without any evidence,it’s not easy to get refunds from the gambling site.
The most bugs complaint from users are mainly from visual bugs, so I don't think they would really refund someone's money just because it doesn't load although it is their job to make sure their online casinos are working smoothly.

Some gambling site had many cases like this and never refunded the gambler because of the not proven evidence in the gambling site. The bug in the gambling site is not the big thing, because gambling site also the normal website. So it’s work based on the same software and the data base.If the problem in the data base also leads to the same problem in the gambling site.So the gamblers also look into entire game, while playing in gambling site.
I think it's hard to prove that gambling websites have an actual bug in their system. As these casinos have databases none of it should have any problem processing internally, until someone who is accessible try to fix while the system is running perhaps someone is trying to manuever the database. I have never read an article where online casinos refunded because of system bug, I only heard they are refunding when you try to enter the casino and found out you showed them a fake ID  Grin
