243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2017 is crazy for bitcoin on: December 13, 2017, 04:35:15 PM
I remember that on 1st January 2017 , the price of bitcoin is about $1000, but now we can see the price is already over $7000. To be honest, that is why some people said this is bubble since the unbelievable rising of bitcoin. However, let us look back upon the history, we can tell that Email subvert the postal industry, Amazon subvert the retail industry. Furthermore, Will bitcoin subvert the traditional banking?

Above is just my personal idea.If you like or not, I wish everyone here have a nice day.

how people are not crazy crazy ...... imagine 1 BTC can buy a luxury car.Itu new 1 btc, if the year 2018 likely will not be found again poor people ... everything is rich

245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fees on: December 12, 2017, 04:45:38 PM
Bitcoin network fee is at like $34 right now.
When will they go back down?
Bitcoin transactions usually occur for free if the amount of Bitcoin shipped exceeds 0.01 BTC. Bitcoin in small quantities is given to miners as a reward for processing the transaction and putting it into blockchain. For now, most transactions are processed for free, but for deals that attract coins from multiple Bitcoin addresses so that it requires a larger portion of data, it will incur very small transaction costs.
246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in 2018 on: December 12, 2017, 02:22:41 PM
The journey of bitcoin from 2009 to 2017 is very interesting. Although the stories of individuals(investors) are very interesting and motivational that how they initiated and what problems they faced at earlier stages.

In 2017 the number of businesses accepting bitcoin continues to increase. Where you see the bitcoin in 2018?
Bank Indonesia will prohibit payment transactions using bitcoin by 2018. This bitcoin prohibition will be regulated in a Bank Indonesia or PBI regulation that is planned to be issued in the near future.

248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Futures on: December 11, 2017, 01:09:34 PM
Heyyy Guys , what do you think about the Bitcoin futures listings ?
a good news that bitcoin is getting wind. CME Group Inc, operator and marketplace of the world's largest futures market will launch new products, futures contracts or bitcoin futures.
249  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin futures contracts on: December 11, 2017, 11:21:56 AM
Hi all,

It has become really noticeable, particularly in my LinkedIn feed, that people are getting really excitable about what effect these new Bitcoin futures contracts will have on the price of Bitcoin.

There are a number of implications here:

1. Are these contracts underpinned by any actual BTC?
2. Was the recent price hike caused by market manipulation by investors in this new City product?
3. Are people confusing these contracts with investment in real Bitcoin?
4. What are the future implications to the Bitcoin community from these new City players?
5. The Blockchain has ground to a halt with well over 100MB in the mempool over all this hype. How do we fix it?

Feels free chip in with any other concerns ...

Thanks

Futures contracts are cash contracts based on bitcoin auction price in U.S. dollars. at Gemini Exchange, owned and operated by virtual currency businessman Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss.
250  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hotels accepting bitcoin on: December 11, 2017, 02:34:49 AM
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/videos/b/4a0b16dd-6783-4dac-9fa0-76e923c9a774

According to this link, a bloomberg news site, it was mentioned that there are two hotels in LAS Vegas that accepts bitcoin as payment for hotels, food and drinks. If you want to visit this place as a tourist or to gamble and you happened to lost your money to gambling you can always use you stored bitcoins to get a room to sleep and relax and enjoy the food and booze.
in addition to large corporations that receive payments with bitcoin hotels began to receive payments with bitcoin ... one of them hotel in bali reportedly already treating it .. although the government itself has not received bitcoin.
251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Major benefit of bitcoin? on: December 10, 2017, 04:34:22 PM
I can answer my question by saying that bitcoin has what others don't and that's being the pioneer in the crypto markets. Which is why everything is priced in bitcoin But really....what does bitcoin do better that any other alt? What's the intrinsic value of bitcoin that I can't get with other alt? Transaction fees? No. Fast network? No. scalability? No. A functional product? No. Full anonymity? No. Descentralización? No. So? The markets are priced in bitcoin, and being that base of value is pretty important, but...is that it?
Bitcoin allows you to send and receive payments very cheaply. Except for special cases such as micro-payments, no fees are applied. However it is recommended to pay higher voluntary fees for faster confirmation of your transactions and to hire people who operate the Bitcoin network.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: bitcoin diamond/binance on: December 10, 2017, 02:21:01 PM
So, I'm new to this world.  Bitcoin Diamond was my first fork.  It looks like BCD is trading on Binance.  Does that mean I can somehow cash in the BCD that I have that is supposedly 'attached' to my BTC?  I don't have the slightest idea how to go about it if it's possible, but at 10:1, it'd be worth it to figure it out.  They are going for $48/BCD right now.
Thank you
Bitcoin Diamond (BCD) is a fork of Bitcoin that occurs at the predetermined height of block 495866 and therewith a new chain will be generated as the BCD. Bitcoin Diamond miners will begin creating blocks with a new proof-of-work algorithm, and will consecutively develop and enhance the protection for account transfer and privacy based on original features of BTC
253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as payment system on: December 09, 2017, 06:24:40 PM
We all know that Bitcoin is one of the best ways to invest your money. However, we know that Satoshi wanted to change money as we know it rather than new investment model.

How do you think, will we be using bitcoin as payment system? Or it will stay as it is and this bubble blow up one day?  Undecided

And how do you see it's future?

Bitcoin offers many advantages over traditional banks. This bitcoin enables international payment delivery regardless of currency conversion, within about 10 minutes, and the transaction can not be canceled once done. This side can be seen as positive or negative.
254  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: about mining on: December 09, 2017, 02:29:39 PM
how miner works to get bitcoin Huh  Huh

how much bitcoin can be collected by a miner Huh  Huh
Bitcoin mining is one way to get Bitcoin. As mentioned earlier, we can see Bitcoin as a large global cash system that holds a history of transactions or money movements
255  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think are the biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin? on: December 08, 2017, 03:23:17 PM
What's preventing Bitcoins from being accepted as mainstream payment forms? I'm working on a new blockchain and would like to learn what drawbacks of Bitcoin urgently need to be improved Wink
the biggest disadvantage I think when I hear the rumors that bitcoin prices will drop, without me seeing his prediction ..... I immediately sell the bitcoin that I have .... not supposedly his prices soared rapidly ..... not just reap the loss even I am very sorry to hear the issue
256  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin community is rising. on: December 08, 2017, 02:40:58 PM
What do you think a about it? is it good or bad for bitcoin?
the increasing bitcoin users or the increasingly bitcoin community is as evidence or evidence that bitcoin will last long in the long possibility jaka could be 100 years
257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does any bank accept Bitcoin? on: December 07, 2017, 01:27:31 PM
Is there any bank/financial institution somewhere in the world that has embraced Bitcoin? Not that I'd deposit my money there, I'm just curious to know it.
I have never heard or seen an info that states there is a bank that receives bitcoin ... because bitcoin itself is not accepted in various countries one of indonesia .. but big company companies have been using bitcoin
258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you a True Believer? on: December 07, 2017, 08:52:47 AM
I see alot of people are holding Bitcoins and are convinced that their coins would multiply in value. The same people preach the Bitcoin ideology that its P2P,  decentralised, low to nil send or receive etc.

However, only a small group of people today are using Bitcoins as they were intended. And the fees are not exactly cheap to buy Bitcoins, not to mention those exchange places are basically like banks.

So my question is, are you a True believer of Bitcoins and other Cryptocurrencies that it will one day replace paper money, decentralised and all. Or are you only a believer that the price will continue to climb and you'll one day be a millionaire?

I simply find it fascinating that its apparent, people are preaching the benefits of Bitcoins but they are not using them. Preaching to newbies and drive up the demand and prices of the coins.
Rather, I would love to see people who really believe in Bitcoins, actually going out there and using the coins to purchase products, send/receive coins and let the coins circulate around. I would love to see that day. When the prices are not so volatile, and the coins are being used as they were intended. However, not being volatile also means the prices would rise sharply like it has been this year, which also means you wont be a millionaire holding onto them coins.

So are you a True Believer?

I'm very confident .. security in a bitcoin transaction despite the pros and cons of risk for the transaction but did not dampen my spirit to use bitcoin
259  Economy / Speculation / Re: When to buy Bitcoin on: December 06, 2017, 02:42:04 PM
So... when to buy Bitcoin? Now.. as it's about to hit $13,000, or wait for a slump?
in a difficult situation to think and difficult to predict something .... look for something real and that's when you start doing something as well in buying bitcoin ..... do bitcoin purchases at the time the price goes down and sell it at the time the price goes up then profit will we get.
260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the 21 milion of bitcoin a real limit? on: December 05, 2017, 11:47:01 AM
Good morning
Reading about bitcoin, I've found that there is a maximum of BTC that can be mined: 21 milions
It is said that this limit is due to the source code.

As probably you know more than I do about BTC:
- is it a real limit
- is it a good thing? I think it is but it looks like BTC will become more a commodity and not just a payment system

What do you think?
Bitcoin is like real gold in the real world, and like valuables, Bitcoin can not be created just like that. Gold must be mined out of the ground, while Bitcoin must be mined through digital means. Associated with the process, this is a provision established by the founders of Bitcoin and it has a fairly limited supply.
