241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Distribute bitcoin to every Greek citizen on: July 05, 2015, 02:39:39 PM
The current state of the bitcoin economy is not enough to compare to a country's economic bitcoin is pretty small to what a country like Greece uses has a annual nations Budget deficit which is €6.356 billion just imagine that type of market cap on bitcoin a 6000x from what its now.
242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This could be bigger than the Greece bailout on: July 05, 2015, 03:40:31 AM
is funny to see a website that was doing so great now just being replaced beacuse they took the wrong steps implementing something like bitcoin, or just offering a better solution.
243  Economy / Economics / Re: Forget Greece. What About China??? on: July 05, 2015, 03:24:11 AM
by china being the #1 exporter on the world and pretty much having the biggest stacks of gold and dollars, we would never see such an event like what Greece is experiencing right now, chinas economy is more solid then 70% of the worlds economy.
244  Economy / Economics / Re: Did Bitcoin Ruin Your Life, Or Help Your Life? on: July 05, 2015, 03:04:47 AM
i learned more about life thr btc than any school. u get to see the nature of humans, the good and the bad.  get to learn how money and corruption works. u get to see how brainwash the mainstream truly is.  learn how to invest better.  the diversity  in the btc community  , u dont get that anywhere else ,we see more different shit,we learn more shit.  amen to bitcoin

really nice to see people that have been touch by the bitcoin movement, bitcoin is now a culture that brings just a little bit of everything, from really tech savvy details, ideals, investments, project development and a all around the world community together to see bitcoin become stronger.
245  Economy / Economics / Re: Paypal Banned Greece! on: July 05, 2015, 03:01:47 AM

248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today it is Greece. Tomorrow it can be you. on: July 05, 2015, 02:27:49 AM
I saw the Greece ATM picture on Reddit earlier, a very sorry sight for sure.

The situation over there (and potentially for what looms for other nations) is terrible, but I can hardly imagine citizens attempting to buy Bitcoin with their Euros. Surely it is getting access to the funds which is the problem in the first place.

Also I don't think that I would want to secure the majority of my wealth in Bitcoin, to even invest a significant portion I would need to full understand how I would go about procuring coin, and ensuring its safe deposit.

The fact that governments and banks allow for things like this to even come about is awful.

people should never invest the majority of their wealth in anything. 10% of your total balance for investing is more than enough. especially when it comes to highly volatile investments as bitcoin.

really awful situation the Greeks have to deal with specially all the old and retire folks not getting their pension on time nor complete so imagine a person that relies only on their pension and the government is cutting their funds thats pretty much a slow death to the older people on Greece.

If anyone wants to hit me up for a sig campaign I'm down. Have just tried a few faucets over the last few days as I've never used any of them before. Really have only mined for bitcoins.

Hello, you could visit this following thread to have an over view of the current signature campaigns so you could choose what you like better.

250  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Worries: can anyone advise? on: July 05, 2015, 01:15:18 AM
With that amount of cash im sure you could get a bitcoin broker to setup a private deal for you, have a look at this http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-brokers-trade-millions-without-exchange/, you will pay a % of course base on the buy is how they make their money.
251  Other / Meta / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto is a member of this forum on: July 05, 2015, 01:12:47 AM
i really believe that satoshi nakamoto is a member on this forum and may be his rank is legendary or hero the reason is that he has been a member here to watch about the condition of bitcoin from 2009 untill now...he also watch how cloud mining rises and then some of them disappear with customers money he always watch everything about what happen in bitcoin world
I think Satoshi no longer active in this forum.  Grin
Because if he still active in this forum why don't use real account.  Smiley
So i believe Satoshi Nakamoto just create bitcoin and leaving his invention  Wink

I'm sure hes somewhere in the side lines only with communication to a few even keeping it secret has development moves on and on.
252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: An idea to move Bitcoin closer to everyday use on: July 04, 2015, 11:50:46 PM
There is no fully "trusted" source of the rate. We do have rates from the leading stock exchanges, we do have average or weighted aggregates of those rates. But still that sources are "points of weakness" in the system. We can't trust them that way like we trust blockchain information.

No offense, but you're absolutely incorrect.  Market prices are the only "real" prices.  Please understand the concept of "price discovery".
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Price_discovery

Even Fiat like USD, has no "official" price in relation to other currencies.  Various exchanges and
banks trade currencies and rates are always floating.  Rates tend to converge on a single price at any given time
due to arbitrage.  This is true whether its dollars or Bitcoins.

I have seen first hand the rate variation from the so called official rate, if you land in a country some airport has this exchanges that trade under the official say 5% even 10% under to sell 5% to 10% over the price just because they see a business opportunity when it comes to exchanging fiat for fiat.

ever since i decided to travel with only bitcoin it has been a re leave to not deal with this type of exchanges.
253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today it is Greece. Tomorrow it can be you. on: July 04, 2015, 11:25:46 PM
Nice Campaign banner, Greeks are ready pretty much to use bitcoin in this hard times, lets make sure they share this on their social media to get something good going in their local media sites.
254  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Do we have a secure online wallet yet? on: July 04, 2015, 06:00:20 PM
I dont think there is such thing has an online wallet, online wallets are expose to every type to attack, from the user being attack directly to the central company server being hacked, the suggestion is to keep the smallest possible amount on a online wallet you can or if you need to you that specific wallet for.
255  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: chess game for bitcoin on: July 04, 2015, 05:52:26 PM

Welcome, i think the bitcoin talk community has a lot to give specially with supporting new project development is how we create more adoption for bitcoin.

256  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin in the Headlines: More Hot Air for Greece on: July 04, 2015, 05:45:20 PM
I dont think people in Greece read coindesk, i have been trying to scan most of the local media outlets in Greece to see any bitcoins news and there is very little in the general selection or none at all so this is more of outsite coverage turning bitcoin into a solution.
257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Silk Road Founder Ross Ulbricht Sentenced to Life in Prison on: July 04, 2015, 05:41:56 PM

Who would deny that? I think it's actually undeniable that Silk Road transactions were massive for bitcoin and actually gave bitcoin it's first widespread use and definitely boosted its value.

Most of the people that say silk road or any usage of bitcoin in the dark web is bad for bitcoin, i seen quite a lot of people saying that the dark usages of bitcoin are a cancer for bitcoin to grow in the general public.
258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ulterior States [IamSatoshi Documentary] on: July 04, 2015, 05:37:19 PM

259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: should i move my ''saving'' to Bitcoin? on: July 04, 2015, 05:34:23 PM
By looking at the time frame of this Op if he had moved hes savings or X amount into bitcoin he could have had some gains by this day, then again we all know the price is 100% stable but it has gone up a bit from the pass 3 months.
260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Tourism on: July 04, 2015, 05:30:35 PM
To the OP, Bitcoin tourism isn't about people selling travel services via bitcoin. Bitcoin tourism is about people going on vacation, being tourists to locations that are historic for Bitcoin or doing some work (while on vacation) to advance the Bitcoin project.

I guess there is 2 sides to what bitcoin tourism is categorize now days, but you know be right a bitcoin tour of places that are part of the bitcoin movement, like attending a meet up with key promoters or meeting some of the main bitcoin supporters.
