241  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: February 28, 2014, 11:50:25 AM
If the rates are reduced since the sig isn't as big, I can understand that. I'm not gonna be really happy about it though.

If the rate does get reduced for the lower members, I hope that we can at least get paid the full amount for the eligible posts that we did make before the forced sig changes.

I agree with everything here. I wouldn't blame Stunna for reducing the rates to lower members as I would under the circumstances, but hopefully he'll honour this month's payments or for the posts we made up until the changes at least.

I have the same opinion as you do. After all, we didn't knew the rules for signatures would change and this month has been ongoing for 11 days in which a lot of us have made a lot of effort to contribute by making constructive posts.
He didn't know either, though. The fairest way to do it would be to pay the normal amount for posts before the change and the reduced amount for posts after the change, but this would take a lot of work.

Thanks for styling limitations theymos. Now I can Unignore most of the PD spammers.

The real problem is spamming, because of pay-per-post signatures. We should do something about it. I see a lot of people try to write +1000 posts in a month, so spam is inevitable. You don't have to write every thread you read.

This should discourage campaigns from paying by post and instead, paying for activity.
While paying for activity would be nice, paying by post makes more sense, because one post is one ad.

But it also promotes spam. It's either one or the other.

How do you know or can you tell for sure?
If I'm not mistaken, they haven't paid out anybody yet thus far as the first payment would come March 1.
Try posting on the topic about getting escrow, or the address that contains the bitcoins. He will just delete it...

In his defense, I would do the same thing. You don't ask a real world employer to proof that he is solvent enough to pay your paycheck.

Obviously, this is going to be different of course, but I certainly wouldn't get into that stuff on a discussion board. Even if people wanted to decide that it was "suspicious."
You clearly haven't been around here enough. If someone new does not accept to use an escrow service and wants you to complete your side of the offer first, they are most likely scammers. It's the bitcoin world, if someone steals your money or doesn't pay, there's no police to go to.

My post and nahtnam's reply to it have both been deleted from RGC's thread. Just thought I would put it out there.
247  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: February 27, 2014, 11:28:33 PM
Wait, I was thinking that one would still be paid per post, or is that not the case?

My thought about it getting you punished was just that it might be seen as a deliberate attempt to evade the system.

How would it be trying to evade the system? And what would be paid by post?

I don't think it is trying to evade the system, but I do think it shouldn't be used for advertising. It's a more "personal" kind of text.

You could argue signatures are personal. If it's truly personal then people should be free to use it as they wish and for whatever they wish.
I guess. To each their own.
248  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: February 27, 2014, 10:26:57 PM
Maybe we can put a PrimeDice link in our 'personal text' part as well for higher visibility?
I was thinking that is a viable option; however, in the current witchhunt-the-paid-sig-people-because-that-will-solve-all-of-our-problems atmosphere, I think that would get you banned, deleted, whatever post-haste.
I can't see why that would get you banned.
Yeah, I think we'd be fine with that. People have used them to advertise stuff before. User Tomatocage, a pretty reputable escrower, even has [This space for rent, PM me] there.

This isn't going to help the problem at all.

Shouldve kept it like before... people are still going to make useless posts that have been posted before (repeating) and overall people are going to aim for high statuses and therefore spam.

+1 agreed
It doesn't matter whether a person posts 14 times in a two week period or 1200 times, it won't make a difference towards the activity level. This is how it will work.
250  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: February 27, 2014, 04:24:07 AM
Signature size is changed automatically
anybody knows why?
Can we make it large again or this is the defult?
Any advise?

Not much of a reader, are you?
I am back after almost 24+ hrs so within this 24+hrs there are 100+ Posts so i think its more better to ask.

Or you could just look ANYWHERE on the forum and see that there are at least 5 different threads explaining that they changed sig rules.
Yep. Most threads are already filled with reasons, including the previous pages in this thread. It wouldn't surprise me if most of the people in this program were like this. Thank theymos for change.
251  Other / Meta / Re: Proposal: Disallow Ads in Signatures on: February 27, 2014, 04:18:57 AM
This will just make people post more garbage so they can qualify to have ads in their sigs IMO.

My thoughts exactly.  It won't work...the more concentrated your posts, the slower your activity rate goes up - but that's not gonna stop the newbs from trying...
First of all, I agree with this change. Second, how would this not work? It's not like you can spam your way through activity levels.

You can. Simply open an (or 10) account(s), and spam as you usually would. (The spam is divided between the accounts so you can increase the activity of all of them efficiently.) Eventually (after about two months) you will qualify for most ads and will be able to spam the forum for pay.

My favorite solution in this thread is to require advertisers to only pay users who make large posts.
It may not get rid of spam completely, but it surely does reduce it a significant amount. The number of people who would do that are most likely less than the people who wouldn't bother. Either way, can't admins just IP ban?

EDIT: I also do not know what the best campaign setup would be. That's something that has to be thought into.
252  Other / Meta / Re: Has something gone wrong with the forum? on: February 27, 2014, 04:08:02 AM
Ah right. Is he just testing the options out or is this how it's going to be now?

I think it will stay. And if it doesn't help with the spam theymos can always change it so that only Hero Members would be able to have links in their sigs, or something like that.
All this will just lead to people posting more useless posts instead of deterring it.
Care to elaborate?

This user started a ponzi and has since stolen all the BTC and closed the site.  If you are running his ad just stop.

SCAM
Does it surprise anyone?... No? Ok. Lol, luckily, I don't think anyone fell for it.

I'm in with 133 posts! We'll see how it goes.

I never quit from the 1000$ bitcoin, I always calculated stuff and earnings on that price, but now when it's on 600 only my heart is still at a 1000 Smiley

I'm just going to keep my faith in Bitcoin and hopefully it will pay off in the long run.
Same here, I just calculate everything by multiplying by 1000.

Looks good, count me in. If you don't mind me asking, what did you use to make the book?

Interesting... I will be following this to see how everything goes and how it affects BTC.
260  Economy / Services / Re: Earn upto 0.6 BTC per month for your signature! on: February 18, 2014, 10:12:17 PM
Next time just report it instead of posting... As you can see, there are too many new posts here and I doubt reporting all of them will work.
