Only the market should be open source, and this is only to protect devs. They can release the software sort of like a proof of concept. Then anybody can take it and use it as they best see fit and assume all responsibility for their own legal or illegal actions.

If the market is closed source, than the devs can be held accountable, and at the very least, be obligated to remove the software but they can possibly even face legal consequences. They can be prosecuted as the operators of illegal activities and this is because in a closed source software the developers have control over what happens. This is not the case with a open source, as once the source is out in the open there is no way to control what the users will use it for.

If they release as open source they will renounce control but they also renounce any responsibility. If bitcoin had been released closed source then satoshi nakamoto would be in jail by now.

We are making progress, slowly but surely.
One of our dev team members is involved in a couple other projects. There is an experiment for TOR integration into the wallet client. We are alsolooking into other anon features ( though at this point none has been decided upon). Still working on my primary objective of an android wallet. After the android wallet is completed I will push forward with more agressive marketing. Tomi is also working on some cool things himself with his own splinter team in Finland  (I will leave this to his digression to disclose)

Once again I know things appear to be stagnant, however this is not the case. There is much going on, and soon we will make real headway.

I've started the process to get a "What is Cloakcoin?" video made for us similar to the "What is Bitcoin?" video. The video will be a custom animation made from scratch - not some video template. I sent the payment out yesterday to the animation firm, so we're just in the process of working on the video script. Once finalized it should be about 10 days or so to get the video finished. It's going to cost a little over 2k for a 1:30 video so every little bit helps.

The blockchain is still going to be showing transactions from one wallet address to another. You just need an entry/exit point for an address, namely, a place where it has engaged with RL, like an exchange that has your email address or a supplier that has your actual address, and then TOR or not, you are tied to that address and every transaction in or out is just a case of following the money. Rinse and repeat.

But CLOAK is pretty much like every other attempt at anon, and so it doesn't really work, like dark,  and all the others. Razor is finally the right direction for the anonymity trend and one that actually works (a coin that has Tor in-built and not as a patch to add to any coin).
It is what a true alternative complementary currency to BTC (what darkcoin tried to be failed because of his technical problems and flawed design) needs to have in order to survive long term.

I'm holding because I believe in this project and because the coin is what cryptocurrencies need right now (finally done right), and the devs are clearly legit and hard working. But I gotta admit that in the altcoin world (where there is no such thing as a sure thing) seeing that price drop is still very nerve wracking and depressing.

Please release new info soon (especially the replacement for mixers which could be huge), I know you guys are working hard so show us the results of your work.
