241  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will bitcoin hit the lowest? 1)before 21july 2) 21july-1au 3)after 1 august on: July 16, 2017, 10:03:38 AM
I think the real drop will come before 31 July. People tend to put off important things like withdrawing from exchanges and a few days before August 1 is when panic will set in. Until then we will see small drops in price.
242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: July 16, 2017, 09:59:25 AM
Zimbabwe vs Sri Lanka looks headed for an interesting finish. Zimbabwe managed to scrape a 10 run lead in the first innings, but the Sri Lankan bowlers have hit back in the second innings. If Zimbabwe can set a target of 250, we will have an exciting chase on our hands.
243  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin vs Taxes on: July 15, 2017, 10:23:46 AM
I've heared that in some countries people have to pay the income tax after buying fiat for their bitcoins. Anyone faced such problem? If yes then how you deal with it in your country?
At one point of view  bitcoin is an instrument for investment so ppl buy it willing to get income in their currency.
At the other point it is a currency and it might be used with a purpose of saving. In this case the tax would be stupid.

It can be considered trading income or capital gains, when you sell your bitcoins for fiat.
Most countries have some kind of tax on capital gains. The tax rate could be different depending on whether it is short term or long term capital gains (depending on how long you hold your bitcoins).

Sri Lanka is playing well and am back on gambling after a small vacation. Looks like it is a crucial match for Indian women against the New Zealand. Hopefully India will win this match and move on to semis. My bets are on India today.

It is a knock out game for both India and New Zealand. India started extremely well in this tournament but have stumbled against stronger opponents. New Zealand have got both Indian openers out within the first 10 overs and will look to contain India.
245  Economy / Economics / Re: Morgan Stanley on: July 15, 2017, 05:28:05 AM
In response to an article negative about bitcoin...

https://thecryptopapers.com/2017/07/14/morgan-stanley-bitcoin-a-poster-child-for-speculation/

It just ticks me off.

It might very well be, but there is nothing to be ashamed about it.
People are betting on Bitcoin succeeding because of its inherent features, unlike wild bets that bankers make with other people's money.
246  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sold your bitcoin and regret soon. on: July 15, 2017, 05:25:42 AM
You are just wasting your investment guys expect before august 1 we will see a large pump of the price.
If you sold your bitcoin right now and nothing left to your wallet you will regret in the end of this month..
For those who are still believe in bitcoin and still holding lets get party after segwit activation we will see the large pump coming.

I think the maximum drop will come close to the end of the month. Typically when there is panic about storing your coins safely, people might be tempted to just exchange it for fiat or other altcoins.
247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: July 15, 2017, 05:21:15 AM
I think today both African nation have played good test cricket, I don't think South Africa is on the back foot they are going to well and win this match against mighty English cricket team. on the other hand, Zimbabwe is also playing fantastic cricket after returning in the Test arena. hopefully, they will be capable of regaining their glory very soon.

309 is still a small score against Eng who can make 400+ easily and they still need 91 more runs with 4 more wickets left. With Philander and Morris's partnership, there is hope to get more 50-60 runs while I don't trust SA's remaining bowlers who fail to score runs in ODI's as well. England are strong in test matches which is why they get more support. They won the earlier match as well by a huge margin.

They are in a strong position at 309/6. They can build on it because they have wickets in hand. No matter how strong the England team is, they will be under pressure when they see a big score. South Africa just have to get into a position from where they cannot lose; then wait for England to make mistakes.
248  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-07-14] TOP STRATEGIST: Bitcoin to over $20,000 by cannibalizing gold on: July 14, 2017, 01:12:34 AM
This was reported a week ago by CNN.

India still has chances to win the last match which will be a do or die for them. They are at 8 points and another win would make them get 10 points. If Aus and Eng win the next two matches, India's position would be stable in the points table. SA is still not in the semis as they can lose the next match and go below India in the table. AUS and ENG are fixed ones.

SL and PK have lost all the matches and it will be really funny watching them play for their honor.

South Africa have already qualified for the semi finals. Both New Zealand and India have lower points than South Africa. The winner might catch up with South Africa, both both teams cannot.
The qualified countries are England, Australia and South Africa. The winner of India vs New Zealand will also go through.
250  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1st Aug event: Possible Bitcoin pump? on: July 14, 2017, 01:04:51 AM
Most of people speculate bitcoin dump because of 1st Aug event. But this is one of my assumptions: most of people will withdraw their bitcoin to the wallet, there will be less bitcoin on exchange causing low supply >>> price will increase. What's your opinion?

People might not just withdraw their bitcoins; they might sell it for fiat. More people will be hesitant to buy bitcoins because of the uncertainty. In effect, that might be the cause of the dip in price we are seeing now.
251  Economy / Economics / Re: Would bitcoin help teach kids about saving? on: July 14, 2017, 01:01:05 AM
yep i defenitely recommend bitcoin to teach kids on saving money. you must tell them everything about bitcoin how it works and how they can earn money even they're little putting their money on bitcoin is a huge thing for them because they're already investing with that case because when they grow they will have a lots of money in bitcoin because bitcoin is made to grow not to deplete.

Teaching them about Bitcoin is one thing. Showing them how to earn bitcoins is another. I am all for educating kids on Bitcoin, but they shouldn't spend their time on faucets and signature campaigns.
252  Economy / Economics / Re: Will silver ever skyrocket? on: July 12, 2017, 12:56:59 AM
Historically it does appreciate in times of uncertainty.  But even with uncertainty, it may appreciate, but I don't see any reason for it to skyrocket.  Cryptos will likely eventually be an easily accessible safe haven for money or currencies that become at risk of a crisis or hyperinflation.

Even in times of uncertainty, people flock to gold. Silver may be a precious metal, but it always plays second fiddle to gold.
There can be no reason why it will skyrocket (unless it finds some new industrial application).
253  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hold... Hold.... Hold.... Do not sell everything on: July 12, 2017, 12:53:40 AM
Nobody is talking about the bubble. This is not the bubble. A small drop in the price doesn'tmean anything serious for Bitcoin. There is no reason for panic ad I think it would be a mistake to sell even the part of coins now. My position in this point is constantly and only HODL.

People who are new to bitcoins and don't have enough experience will easily get panic at this stage and start selling their coins but who knows bitcoin very well will never sell their coins now and will wait for the price to go again higher in coming days and that is the right thing to do in my opinion.
Absolutely, noobs panicking a lot otherwise there's no need of so much panic and at the same time they should understand it might be a good opportunity to make big money.

If people panic after such minor drops, they have understood absolutely nothing about Bitcoin. This kind of volatility is normal for Bitcoin. We cannot have an asset whose price moves only in one direction.

254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: July 12, 2017, 12:46:06 AM
West Indies women's team have put up a wonderful score against Pakistan right now and looking for it's second victory. Pakistan haven't won even a single game till now and 286 is a difficult target for them.
And they won't win this one too Smiley Their strength ( when compared ) is their bowling and they haven't done well in that so I think they are gonna loose this one too . They gotto do something , not winning even one match in a big tournament is not something which can be accepted by their fans .

Even though their male team are good, muslim countries have a poor female team. And they hardly have any fans in their countries.
They are just playing because there are not enough female teams to play with. Sad

Bad luck for Pakistan because the rain interrupted play and the match reduced to 38 overs. Right now the play stopped don't know what happen it will continue or stop. Pakistan women need 128 runs in 84 balls and 7 wickets in hand. They made 117/3 runs from 24 overs. So with remaining 7 wickets, i think they not able to chase this score. So WIW will this match.

Pakistan continue to remain winless in the Women's World Cup. This time, the rain gods have denied them, Play didn't resume after this, 285 scored by West Indies was a good score and it would have been nice if the match was played over the full 50 overs. Unfortunately, this was not to be.
255  Economy / Speculation / Re: Trading Crypto is like war... Don't get PTSD on: July 11, 2017, 01:43:18 AM
Trading Bitcoin is much simpler, unlike trading of altcoins. It is like a game of chess.
Down 10% in a day seems sane, compared to the alts being decimated now.  Tongue
256  Economy / Economics / Re: What is your best investment strategy? on: July 11, 2017, 01:36:40 AM
The formula is very simple, do not put your eggs on one basket. In order to minimize future loss and maximize profit its the most effective way. Specially if you have large investments, good example for it is in altcoin trading do not just invest all your capital on one coin instead buy different potential altcoins. Even investing in different exchange is a good habit too.

Diversification helps when the correlation between the assets you invest in is low. This is not true of altcoins. Altcoins more or less constitute one asset class. When there is a blood bath in the markets (like today), all your coins fall in value.

Oh unbelievable Zimbabwe was won the series at Sri Lanka home, and all Zimbabwe players  played well I think  Sri Lanka not expecting this kind of things from Zimbabwe.

It's really unbelievable. Not able to conclude whether Sri Lanka played worse or Zimbabwe played well..!!
Masakadza and Sikandar Raza played really well. It's a great news for Zimbabwe actually.
Truly a high performance from Zimbabwe. It was pretty unbelievable, but don't amazed so much because it's called cricket. Credit goes to Zimbabwe. SL could not perform well as they deserve. So, waiting more amazed as we've got a Test match starting on July 14.

That was a great performance by Zimbabwe to win a series away from home, I agree with you as I'm not really shocked as Sri Lanka were not performing good enough to win this series but I think it will be a different story in the test series as I think Sri Lanka is a lot better team in tests then ODI's.

Sri Lanka have things to worry about. The distance between them and West Indies in the ODI ranking is closing.
The number 9th team will have to go through a qualifier to play in the World Cup. That could be humiliating for Sri Lanka.
258  Economy / Speculation / Re: just few well know investors and then boom! on: July 10, 2017, 12:30:28 AM
I strongly believe that if some well known investors come in and buy billion dollars worth of bitcoin it could be world breaking news and the price of bitcoin would soar high to $10000, just my opinion.

This is true, but why would somebody invest billions of dollars in bitcoins. All those billionaires out there didn't make money by being speculative.  Wink
Plus, if you buy billions of dollars worth of bitcoins, liquidating it won't be easy.
259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: July 10, 2017, 12:21:28 AM
This is what expected and West Indies showed that they are the king of T20 and they can chase any score. India inspite of good start they were not able to score above 200+ and even bowling is also very poor.

Overall, a pretty disappointing series for India. They managed to win the ODI series (after losing a match) and lost the T20 match. Plus this is a West Indies team which is missing most of its regular players. It is ranked pretty low and even stuttered against Afghanistan recently.
260  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin in Economics class? on: July 09, 2017, 12:04:19 AM
There's a lot of anti-capitalist, pro-socialist, propaganda taught in economics classrooms these days.

If bitcoin was covered in classrooms, it would likely parallel the anti crypto propaganda stance portrayed by the media.

Education might have been about learning, knowledge and facts once. Those days are gone. Education doesn't function as anything more than mind control in most cases.

I am sure the curriculum in colleges is influenced by the country you are in and the government which is in power.
If you are in a socialist country, then the economics classroom is likely to teach anti-capitalist, pro-socialist, propaganda.
