What is the explanation for going to the conference in the USA if the platform can't be used there? ICN can still be bought there so maybe they think it is still worth it? Or maybe just for the exposure in general?

I was also of the opinion that there is no need to attend the USA conference since US citizens were not allowed to participate in the ICO, but some did. I agree with Daparski exposure is key for this project I thought US citizens could participate in the ICN ICO, and can buy ICN just like they can buy any other cryptocurrency token/coin. I thought it was just the performance and index funds and the other funds that will be made by individuals on the platform that US citizens couldn't purchase? And you are totally right! |

To those who still think that February 9th is going to be disappointing and that they aren't going to announce a launch date think about this. Why would the team go to Florida to announce a minor update? Something that they could easily post on the slack page. At this conference they are going to show us a working version of the platform. If you think I am wrong think of big video game conferences like E3. You don't see video game developers like EA come with nothing.. they have a version of the platform to increase interest about their upcoming games. Now I am not saying that they will release the platform on the 9th, however, I think we will get to see our first look at it, thus increasing interest in Iconomi.
The problem with this theory is that EA has a set agenda at E3. We know what EA is bringing to the table. We don't know what Iconomi is. Iconomi is not announcing launch date. Stop getting everyone's hopes up by spreading false information. I agree. Why is everybody getting so excited over this date? The team haven't announced anything yet, so just sit down and wait for updates. Well they have announced that they will be at the conference, it is complete conjecture as to what that implies exactly but it is safe to assume that it will be good for ICN one way or another. Let's cosider Icnx atm holds 9.22% STEEM. When platform is launched and Iconomi will definitely not have his own exchange with own order books they need an exchange where they can trade STEEM. So as we all know kraken doesn't list STEEM where should they buy them instead? ICONOMI atm works with kraken one major exchange in the USA. Wouldn't it make sense to also partner up with the other major exchange in USA. So now who is this mysterious exchange I'm talking about?

That doesn't make sense. They received their funds after ICO and till then they use this money to finish a working product. They already proved that they have some good sense about our crypto world and managed to invest some of the funds into Golem which is approximately up to 0.028$ (ICO price was ~0.01$) and additionally we hold ~9,8% Byteballs which we got for free and although are up quite a bit . ICN will gradually rise over the next few days ahead of February 09.
One thing for sure, now is the time to accumulate & HODL. But is this conference the place to announce the launch? The weather is heavy and very speculative, it really's necessary to accumulate, but the hand in wanting to sell and buy cheaper, but there's a risk that from now only raise the price! Better be patient or you'll lose your coins cheaply to someone else.  All eyes on the Blockchain Conference in Florida then!!! They might announce something or at least we can expect to see ICN gaining more after the event. I am sure we will have some new investors for ICN after the event. Hold on to ICN tokens boys!
