I'm tempted to put my Kore up for sale for 1 BTC per Kore LOL

Well, you could make the price 2 BTC and it will eventually sell once all the KORE developments are released and people realise its true value.

Apologies.
Read it wrong I guess...

Actually I like Pala's time frame:
TODAY!

No worries, time zones and naming conventions can cause misunderstandings at the best of times.

It just means it's an hour earlier (than 22:00 GMT)

UTC = GMT, my friend

(No, Eurbids did not say 21:00UTC converted into GMT was 22:00GMT, he said 21:00UTC converted into GMT was 22:00GMT+01)

If there's any newer info then please correct me, though that's the Dev's last message.

I made a counter as well.  It's just a pity that BTCT won't allow embedding, so you'll have to click on it:

BTW, It's 21:00 GMT from what I've seen

Bittrex BTC wallet temporarily disabled which explains the current dip in price.  Expect BTC inflow and KORE buying once fixed!

I cannot for the life of me get my wallet to stop staking.

I have tried a config file with "stake=0" in it.

Restarting the wallet, locking and unlocking the wallet, all sorts of combinations.

Can anyone help??? Sad

Here's my config file.
server=1
daemon=1
rpcuser=usernamehere
rpcpassword=passwordhere
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
logtimestamps=1
Stake=0

Code:
This wallet supports the staking=0 option in the KoreCoin.conf file to disable the stake miner thread for pool and exchange operators.

+1  Use staking=0 not stake=0

Also, one more tip, when editing and/or creating config files (in Windows), ensure that Windows is set to show file extensions, else the file could end up being saved as korecoin.conf.txt but shown as korecoin.conf (because Windows hides the file extension and the .txt might not be shown.)  I'm sure most people know this but perhaps some people are unaware of that.

Been watching Kore and it's nice to see something a bit different that has so much potential.

SIP VOIP should be a game changer. The thread is a positive read with lots of excitement about upcoming events, very refreshing to say the least.

Right now the Kore in my signature represents my current position. Always open to a bit of seed Kore to get things growing  Tongue

Keep moving forward and keep up the positive attitude

Hey, good to have you here with us!

In case you have not noticed someone's been buying up a heck of
alot of coins from those selling into the wall on Bittrex.

First noticed this same 12k wall at 28000 till the buy pressure was too
much. It then disappeared till the buy pressure stopped.
Then the 12k wall sat at 29000 till the buy pressure caused them to lose 500 coins
then it disappeared.
Then this same 12k wall (same 12k balance) went to 30000 and it's been there for awhile as
tens of thousands have sold right before that 12k wall.
Someone's Happy!

For those of you running websites and services with KORE, I've made some 'KoreCoin Accepted Here' stickers you can use.

This is not acceptable and needs fixing NOW.

It's not "a bug" and it's "an issue", nor is it "a flaw".  It is in the nature of the design of the Proof of Stake system (which many coins use), and what you're saying is akin to saying to the Bitcoin developers: "Fix the time we have to wait for transactions to be confirmed" (which is anywhere from a few minutes to 1-2 hours.)  The Bitcoin developers will tell you that there's nothing they can do to change it since it is part of the inherent design of the system.  That being-said, with PoBA, the KoreCoin blockchain will need to be forked and if there are any additional improvements that can be made it likely possible for them to be included at such a point in time.

The lag can, however, be 'fixed' "NOW", as you demand: By asking people who are speculating on exchanges to put some of their coins back in their wallets and stake them.  If they do that then whenever you or someone clicks "reserve", things would happen a lot quicker.
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★ KoreCoin v2.0 ★★ [KORE] New ERA - 100% ANON - 100% PoS - PoBAnon - TOR - DICE on: September 12, 2014, 04:53:43 AM
so... how do I "unstake" coins in my wallet?

Settings --> Options --> Reserve (enter the amount you wish to prevent being staked.)

After reserving you may have to wait a while until you see your coins 'unstake'.

Yes and rebooting your computer could speed up that process.
I will make a copy of both our explanations combining them into one statement.

WE NEED:
A page or help section or single post where all important fixes and explanations
are cataloged or at least posted for future reference.

Any suggestions?

Hm, yes, perhaps.  On the other hand, the forum thread may be sufficient.  Summarizing things, as you have already done with your "why we stake" piece may be all that's necessary.  Perhaps that could be expanded upon and/or be the basis for what you have in mind.
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★ KoreCoin v2.0 ★★ [KORE] New ERA - 100% ANON - 100% PoS - PoBAnon - TOR - DICE on: September 12, 2014, 04:49:19 AM
that did not help. I did that hours ago, reset my pc many times and cant get this unstaked.

Crypto is a time-sensitive matter. If it will take hours to access the asset, KORE is doomed.

The time factor you allude to is not a KoreCoin "issue": It is something common to all PoS coins.

It works like this:
Coin minting/Blocks are generated through staking (as opposed to PoW where blocks are generated through mining rigs.)
If only a few people stake then blocks take longer to be generated.
If more people stake then blocks are generated fast.

In other words, in order to support the KORE network, enough people should stake.  If, on the other hand, everyone keeps their coins on the exchanges (speculators would do that, for instance, and don't care about supporting the KORE network) then there might not be enough stakers to ensure chain blocks are generated quickly, and then there will be delays, and people saying, "but why do I have to await?", etc, etc.

...so, how fast blocks are generated is a good barometer of how many people are truly supporting KoreCoin vs how many are simply speculating on exchanges!
[If a lot of people were staking then you would not need to wait long for your coins to unstake, it would happen fairly quickly, in a matter of minutes.]

The best thing anyone serious about KORE can do is stake some coins.  I'm not saying 'everyone' needs to stake "all" their coins, however, by staking a least some of them adds to supporting the network.  This is why we stake!
