2401  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin is the only crypto you should BUY on: November 18, 2022, 10:43:55 PM
Because we know that satoshi does not depend on a company to reinforce bitcoin.
This is the common issue today because of FTX and that's true that satoshi made bitcoin to be completely different and independent. As bitcoin isn't depending on any company or exchange for which is most native tokens are made like that. They've became a stock type of distribution to its investors just like the common stock market and shares but bitcoin isn't like that. It's dependency is one its own network - miners, supply and demand.
2402  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: perfectmoney.com or perfectmoney.is, which domain name is legit? on: November 18, 2022, 09:47:32 PM
I have not used perfectmoney but if that's about the ".is" domain, I think it's a domain designated for Iceland. Anyway, I hope this might help you, I've visited both of them through my browser and this what it had shown for both domains. Top picture is with the ".is" and the bottom is with the ".com".

Come on! Seriously, he's still going to be a speaker on an event like this while he's dealing with his stir from his company? That's odd for me honestly.
If he's come to that event and start talking shit about defending himself and making it look like he's all innocent. This guy has something on his head and has to be knocked for that. I hate it when we're seeing people like him doing casual things while many people he has affected made their lives miserable. Could this poster has been made before the FTX collapse? Anyway, this event is loaded of prominent people except Sam.

Demo politicians. Sam might actually not going to be investigated while Steven Seagal just promoting a token was investigated and paid $314,000 as ordered by SEC. He wasn't even aware it was a scam. A well-connected freak like Sam is free to go anywhere and head high speaking to the public.

You aren't as crazy as it seems if you believe a conspiracy theory that this crash is well planned as they are all in cahoots and Yellen the old bitch is part of it.
That makes sense and looks like most things are connected. When you've got the personal connection with powerful people, you can getaway with anything that you do even if they're the baddest thing that you've ever done.
It's going to be a huge surprise if he's going to be present on this event and will do the presentation or speaking just as what the poster has advertised. It's crazy to think how a man can freely move while too many of its users have been thinking how they can get back on track while the mastermind of it seems to be not caring at all.
2404  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shell, enters Bitcoin mining and sponsors Bitcoin conferences on: November 18, 2022, 07:46:06 PM
This is a great news about bitcoin but unfortunately it is coming when there is too much bad news in the industry already, that is why the good news is finding it difficult to make wave.
A company that produces energy to come into Bitcoin mining is a very large advantage to Bitcoin. This can make the debate of green energy and bitcoin energy consumption to come to an end.
The producers of energy will now be directly involved in the energy expenditure
They're like going for distribution but not for actual mining. It's certainly a huge advantage to bitcoin because of how big Shell is, there goes the exposure and stuff that we always want to see when it's coming from huge and known companies like them. We may also see that it's going to help about the unending consumption of electricity issue about bitcoin mining and hopefully, it's going to clear its way out there since it's not just really mining that's on it but also the manufacturing sectors and industries.
2405  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Have you ever seen a Finance Market Place like this? on: November 17, 2022, 11:14:22 PM
Never heard about peerwallet and the solutions that you've mentioned really are going to be great and helpful. Although that actually breaks the purpose of crypto for which it should be a P2P as you've mentioned and it should be crypto-crypto transaction and settle the crypto-fiat transaction. But since most exchanges and services like this are into convenience, we will eventually forget of what an actual P2P in a crypto setup really is. And to say with this service, there will be other competitors that will try to build up and be the better version of any existing one now.
2406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: *El Salvador To Start Purchasing Bitcoin Everyday* on: November 17, 2022, 09:42:02 PM
In short, El Salvador is going to DCA - EVERYDAY.  Tongue
Well, an act like this will be copied by other investors that are unsure of the market and haven't experienced the past bear markets. Looking at huge people like Bukele and other popular investors broadcasting their move about buying bitcoin. It's the encouragement that they're looking for so, I honestly think that it's a good idea that he has said this vocally on his Twitter account for others to have a reference on what they must do right now.

Glad to see everyone's response in this thread.
A good response to SBF is an actor acting like a clown who fools a lot of people.
and then she just relaxes and enjoys her life as if nothing happened.

I have another piece of news that might make you all even more fed up with the SBF Sociopath.

Check out this news: https://www.nytimes.com/events/dealbook-summit#speakers

DealBook Summit
- November 30, 2022,
- 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. E.S.T.

He was even a speaker at the event, his photo was in the top spot being a key person who would give financial advice.

But, is he going to come to the event and say that FTX's collapse was due to hacking and not his fault?
Maybe if Do Kwon is presented it will also complete the list of potential and talented young speakers (to the detriment of millions of people).
Come on! Seriously, he's still going to be a speaker on an event like this while he's dealing with his stir from his company? That's odd for me honestly.

2408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Must it be the last game? on: November 17, 2022, 07:46:58 PM
If you can't lessen the number of games then you have to take accountability for it because that's the whole meaning of gambling. You'll never know if you're going to win to not especially with sports betting because of the team being involved that you're betting for.
There should be the caveat for you having those number of games because the risk is higher with that but, the reward is what making it more interesting because it's also high so please be reminded about that.
2409  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Invest in Your Future with Bityx on: November 17, 2022, 10:49:03 AM
How can you be trusted by that number of users if you can't even have that SEO and be the first to show in the results of Google with exact keyword and name of your exchange?

Even the site isnt indexed in google search until the first 10 pages, and the site can't be opened on my side. It's very strange how 5 million users found this site in the first place. Or, sure it's a tough job if the OP has filled the database with that many fake accounts since it was founded. Tongue

Btw, archive org explains something else what this service was.

web.archive.org/web/20130401000000*/bityx.com
archive.is/bityx.com
I doubt it that he'll fill all of those 5 million dummy accounts just to prove it to the few that he's got it. But the total number of volume will speak to itself if they're a legitimate exchange.
I haven't found the website itself looking through Google since that's I usually do so that other related articles or websites to it will also come out but it seems that there were none.
2410  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shell, enters Bitcoin mining and sponsors Bitcoin conferences on: November 16, 2022, 11:37:41 PM
I'm tired of listening to FTX and Binance drama these days and finally here's some good news.

The ecological imbalance threats of Bitcoin mining were the reason Bitcoin adoption becomes slow and it comes to mining and good thing it becomes green Bitcoin mining now and this big company firms find a solution to this which is totally good news.

Let's hope other big companies will find another green solution of mining Bitcoin, this is a good step in Bitcoin adoption which start with a green process.
That's what I'm hoping for, the big companies will start to get interested with bitcoin and mining and other stuff related to cryptocurrencies. Because with their resources, they can contribute a lot and also give opportunities to many enthusiasts out there if they're needing a helping hand just to step and get started on it.

People still assume that Shell is purely an oil company, but the reality is that all these oil companies have a million other investments and renewable energy is one of them. You think they would only invest into oil and hope that oil will make them profit forever? They are obviously aware that they need to go towards renewable energy because the whole world is going there, which means they could also help bitcoin mining world by making it self sufficient as well.

It's one of the steps they are taking, in my nation there is a huge investment to wind turbines, there is like 750 of them owned by shell and that's A LOT OF wind turbines, 750 is not a small amount, that could power an entire city of 1 million people if I am not wrong, could be even more, it's really huge investment.
Typically, big companies like Shell are diversified and they understand that the only thing that's constant is change. And that's why they're very flexible and adaptable to the changes that's happening not just on their industry but also in the others that we may see them interested too. They can really help the miners on this case especially when a lot of critics keeps on talking about renewable energy and bitcoin mining is one of the culprits of cutting of energy and it consumes a lot of it. As you've mentioned wind turbines, in what country is that?

They are the first to do this and hope that it will be a good result once they implement their plans. Looks like the problem of power consumption for BTC mining is going to be solved in the next years because after Shell will show positive results about this, I'm sure the others will follow it as well just like how the payment apps nowadays become crypto wallets as well. Maybe for others, this is not a smart move by Shell but to be the first to help the miners means getting more clients first and also being the first one to acquire huge profits from them.
Those that don't see this as a good news and not smart, I think that they're missing the whole thing. There is the essence for being the first in everything. And as an oil and energy company, Shell is the first one to show this type of interest that's actually taking place and doing the thing, not just all about plans.

Lets hope they use the gas that is flared at source to generate electricity, and use that to mine Bitcoin. That seems better than just wasting the energy by warming the atmosphere.
Hope so, I guess that they would be generous to share those to the miners.

All the rhetoric of reducing emissions and making mining more sustainable is lovely. Moreover, Shell is a huge company, so it's a big deal for Bitcoin publicity and increasing popularity (if only it weren't overshadowed by FTX, of course). That being said, I think what we're seeing here is greenwashing. Shell is a gas and oil company, a company doing business precisely in the things we should be abandoning. Moreover, in a study of greenhouse gas emissions between 1998 and 2015, Shell was #9 on the list of companies with highest impact, accounting for 1.67% of global industrial emissions.
Bingo! You nailed it about the publicity that bitcoin is getting with this step made and done by Shell. Although there's the fact that they're one of the biggest emissions for greenhouse gasses. At what rank they're right now? I just wish that they're able to take the call for lesser emission through solutions that they've discovered and made and which is going to be offered to the miners.

this is truly excellent news! 5 years ago this would be unthinkable. It is only proof that Bitcoin is gaining streght and new solutions for mining will start appearing fom the companies that we would never be waiting for.

I hope that after shell other energy companies will follow.
Every year and cycle that passes by, there's always the new trend and adoption that's happening for bitcoin and we all are liking it. And with this through Shell, this is just one of it and I'm sure that there's more to come for the next years.

I wonder whether this will be the future of Bitcoin mining, hash power in the hand of a handful companies that have access to tonnes and tonnes of money and energetic resources.
Sure, we all still can solo mining or join to a pool, the pools themselves are an evolution within the mining ecosystem, I just wonder if companies like Shell will fairly compete against pools for the blocks or they will use their money to lobby against the pools and the right of the people to decide whether or not to participate in a pool.

It would be bad if in the future the hash power is mostly controlled by a few oil companies, which would respond to the orders of the usual politicians.
As of now, they're not yet there but it's very likely that they'll also join the miners and have their own bitcoin mining facilities built. They're already at their advantage for having it built because they'll have no issues with power and it's possible to happen because they have no problem with funding and investments and of course, the power.

2411  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Invest in Your Future with Bityx on: November 16, 2022, 10:40:24 PM
Trusted by over 5 million users around the world
How can you be trusted by that number of users if you can't even have that SEO and be the first to show in the results of Google with exact keyword and name of your exchange?

I myself have been cooperating with a few months, but I can already: the company honestly fulfills its obligations. A couple of times there were controversial issues, but the support promptly resolved everything. The main advantage of this crypto-exchange is manufacturability, which significantly increases the trading process itself
@OP, you've probably just made a new account to boost the trust of the forum members here. But, I don't think that you'll be able to convince us.
2412  Economy / Gambling / Re: Black Friday fever: do you wait for extra bonuses from casinos? on: November 16, 2022, 09:41:49 PM
It's a good promo but you have to fill those information and provide it for them. If you're a gambler and you think that you're okay with that, then fill up all of those information to be eligible for that 150% deposit bonus.
I know that there are a lot of gamblers that are okay with filling up their information or passing on the kyc, as long as the bonus is worth it to take and it's a lot to be taken care of whilst the requirements are that easy.
not many people want to provide KYC documents on any site, but if indeed it is a requirement that must be complied with well I think there is no problem as long as they also want to process withdrawals and other things properly, because it's not easy to get people to complete their KYC data, but there are also people who want to get a bonus, they provide their documents, it depends on each gambler, but most of them always avoid KYC
Yes, that's what majority don't like to fill up - the kyc. If you're up for those bonuses and they have to require you to fill kyc, that's your decision if you're going to want and see how it goes since you probably have been used to the kyc thing coming from exchanges and other casinos. There's no way to avoid these when most of them have been regulated and customers just have to comply or else you've got to find another one that don't ask for it.
2413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Axie infinity price prediction: Future of AXS? on: November 16, 2022, 08:39:38 PM
Axie will never recover if you ask me and I have my reasons for it. The main reason is that we are talking about a game and that means we are talking about something that would be valid as much as the game is valid,
I also think that it will never recover even we go through another bull run, that's not going to be enough of what it has shown during the peak of it. It's too far to be seen again and if it will recover, that's not going to be near as the last time that it has made noise in the P2E market. The entirety of P2E is nearly dead.

and if the game is not played then the token will go down.
Despite there are still users and players that do play the game. Talking about its market and economy, it's still not going to reach close from what it has been made before.
2414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shell, enters Bitcoin mining and sponsors Bitcoin conferences on: November 15, 2022, 09:40:45 PM
This will beba furthermore steps to ease the challenges with miners when mining bitcoin if only the energy company could remain ever commited to implementing this, i saw something related of recent whereby the United States oil and energy giant ExxonMobil trying to use waste energies from petroleum refineries in mining bitcoin in some of it stationed location across the world to help bitcoin mining using renewable energy source, in this case with shell, they can extend their limit beyond just conference but also laying a foundation of something permanent to serve as solution to the challenges miners have.
What's good with this is that it is Shell. Talking about resources and that matter, they've got a huge resource that can really be useful for most miners and help them with what they're offering. But hopefully, this is going to help also the small time miners and it's not just only limited to mining farms with huge facilities.

Well it is an obvious step, since a large portion of energy prices are actually caused by delivering the energy to your location. If you are a energy company and can simply mine bitcoin at the place where the energy is created, you have an unbeatable advantage above everyone else since the price for transportation and all the power lines etc. will not be paid.
Still only future will tell if this is more then marketing for shell.
Well, that's what I thought at first when I've read those headlines but it's not Shell that's going to mine. They will only offer the solutions and technology they have for maintaining a better operations for these mining facilities. But who knows if they'll have their own bitcoin mining facilities and I guess that's better since they can really do it on their own.

This is great news for Bitcoin but probably terrible news for at home miners. I don’t think anyone will be able to compete with companies like Shell, Exxon, etc. They have access to energy at prices we could only dream of and will likely pressure Bitcoin mining operations in places with cheap power and older equipment. I think we might be seeing the final evolution stage of Bitcoin mining.
Somehow, a good news will always have the other side of it. But looking at the brighter side, this is just starting and we can all have that conclusion that this is a huge company that's put interest to give some help to the huge miners. Well, eventually there could be some changes like them starting to put their footsteps into actual mining.

We should be more interested in talking about good new like this, rather than centralized ponzi schemes going bust, run by scammers. Bitcoin (not crypto) is going mainstream & there’s nothing anybody can do to stop it.
Get on the right side of the new world order & buy as much bitcoin as you can. We are the new wealthy elite.
Too much negativities these days and that's why some news like this would really give some positive vibes. This is what we want, more adoption coming from huge enterprises and bigger names in the actual industry.

definitely, good news while everything is going with FTX and Binance these days.
Bitcoin and the crypto industry now getting some recognition among common people, after crypto.com sponsoring the world cup and now shell oil companies sponsoring crypto magazine.
That's Bitcoin Magazine. It's true that because of the most negative news that we're seeing and even crypto.com has been on the hot seat because of some FUD or rumors about them. That's how who make those news can disrupt the market and lose focus from good news like this.

Shell and other energy companies are getting into everything these days that involves energy. They know that with the amount of regulations coming up for gas & oil it's adapt or die. They are NOT run by idiots, and they have the massive budgets that they can come into any industry and dominate. There has been talk that with Shell (yet again) coming into the electric car charging market that they may crush a lot of the smaller players. Not even to be evil, just because they have such a massive machine they can just come in and take over.

Bit OT but to show how these big players can do what they want. There was a company called KeySpan here in NY, they were a natural gas utility. Since they had the 'right of way' to do a lot of things they also where they could ran high speed data fiber. When looking at costs for dark fiber, they were always the cheapest by far. Just because of their size at the time. The fiber side was sold off to another company and the gas side was also sold, but for a while they were on top.

Shell, can do the same to any market they want to get into, but unlike KeySpan, are probably never going to be acquired or sell off parts of their business.

-Dave
Companies like Shell has already an advantage if they want to take over another industry. It's an easy thing for them and I agree that having a huge budget if they ever plan to take over, they can. We may see them acquire some companies that would be taking care of this business as they're more focused into energy industry. So, this is just like an introduction for them and maybe they've got already roadmap and plans set all along.

This is pure business. Now specific coolants/lubricants from Shell is a way to have their business on cryptocurrency sector. Sponsoring the Bitcoin conferences makes its solid presence into bitcoin. The magazine gives a business connect and slowly the involvement will widen. Being a giant in the oil industry will surely try to capitalise at the right time.

In recent days the energy companies participation into cryptocurrency related activities have increased. Shell have reached late to the party. Many oil companies have called crypto miners to create mining infrastructure close to the plants with which it is possible to support mining out of the excess oil.
I don't think that Shell is too late. It's never been too late when most of the biggest firms in different industries are not yet here and coming with this during the bear market. It's a good setup for them as we're anticipating the next bull run. There could be some greater news that's in store and waiting to be released for their next move but maybe that's reserved for those conferences.

I didn't expect this news and I'm not sure if I like it. Certainly it shows that bitcoin is becoming more and more accepted in society, but is it a good thing when a company like Shell starts mining? Ultimately, it will certainly mean that only large companies will continue to operate Bitcoin mining, because it will only be worthwhile for these companies in the future and most small, private miners will be pushed out. That's why I'm a bit skeptical. Let's see if I think differently about it tomorrow.  Wink
It's not Shell that's going to mine, they'll only offer their technology and products to the miners for cooling systems. But maybe, they'll soon start that since they're an oil/energy company, electricity and stuff won't be a problem to them.

Hey guys! Check out the MegaPari Black Friday offering! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5421125.new#new
this is a good promotion and it looks like you are really starting early in the blackfriday campaign, at least a step ahead of other gambling sites, but that doesn't mean other gambling sites don't have the same promotions, but apart from that I'll take a look at the promotion and how it works

Yes, they're all done.
At thought he's a young good lad that's really helping everyone. But with the misuse of people's fund, this is where it is going and his evil acts towards people's money have been exposed and saw by CZ and everyone.
No pardon for this guy for using a lot of money that have gained his trust, but he didn't reciprocate to those.
There was also $400 million worth of FTT have been moved from the exchange. It was a clear sign that the insiders were trying their last effort to squeeze the last bit of valuable assets out of the exchange right before or after SBF declared bankruptcy.
CZ has foreseen this dodgy activity and stopped depositing FTT. Hopefully, the rest of the exchanges will follow suit. Don't let these criminals cash out all those FTT and run away with it.
And CZ has tweeted another disclaimer that he hasn't dumped any of the FTT that he has received. Well, he's taken another loss because of FTX and SBF.
Well, this is going to be added to one of the biggest scandals that has happened in the crypto market/community that has taken a lot of money from too many people around the world as their customers.
2417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Shell, enters Bitcoin mining and sponsors Bitcoin conferences on: November 15, 2022, 10:31:13 AM

With all the ruckus in the market made by FTX. There have been some good news in the past few days that we haven't noticed and this is what the title is all about. Let's take it first about bitcoin mining, so for those that have been thinking if Shell is going to mine bitcoin. I've read a few articles about it and I've been also jebaited by those headlines. What these articles are talking about is, Shell is going to help bitcoin miners with their cooling system from the technology that they have and through their coolants/lubricants. So, it's like they're going to enter the market indirectly through those data centers that might need their cooling systems.

Lastly, Shell had a 2-year deal with Bitcoin magazine and will sponsor the 2023-2024 BTC conferences. It's a great deal honestly, knowing that Shell is an oil giant so, this is like two birds in one stone for the whole bitcoin community.

That makes sense and now, Sam is on the loose and I guess he's trying to escape with his jet as per the news[1] that I've seen. But also, it's said that he's still in Bahamas and we don't know when he's going to be out of the radar. It's possible that he'll just disappear, with the ruckus that he's made, very likely to happen.

Thank you for this announcement this is a good promotion that we can take advantage of and if we have to be truthful, no casino gives a none wagering bonus such as winz
Make sure that you'll be part of it since you find it as a good promo and could be really the one that you're wanting to be part of.

I will like to read the experiences of members of the forum who have tried winz out to see how the bonus and the free spin system works.
Just hover and lurk on this thread and you'll see most of those that have shared their thoughts and experiences about it.
