Newbie Redlove is using some good stuff. I don't know what it is, but I want some too for my party! I'm pretty sure he's copy/pasting after changing some words, but I can't prove it. Either way, he posts totally random off-topic text: Example 1: In 2012, the Cryptocuren Legal Advocacy Group emphasized the importance of taxpayers to determine whether the taxpayers depend on a bitcoin-related transaction that has received a "implementation event": When a service is provided by the taxpayer in Bitcoin, an implementation event Perhaps no benefit or use of the fair market value for the paid and paid services The loss will probably be counted.
Example 2: Bitcoin's future will definitely get brighter. Because,Bitcoin takes parity with US dollar.basically stable, again slowly rising.
Example 3: From my watchlist, it can be said that In 2013, the German Finance Minister Bitcoin has been described as a unit of account, if it is mentioned that in multi-yearly clearing circles it is usable and capitalized.
Please end his posting career. Update: I found evidence: Copy: On 5 December 2013, the People's Bank of China announced in a press release regarding bitcoin regulation that whilst individuals in China are permitted to freely trade and exchange bitcoins as a commodity, it is prohibited for Chinese financial banks to operate using bitcoins or for bitcoins to .
be used as legal tender currency, and that entities dealing with bitcoins must track and report suspicious activity to prevent money laundering . The value of bitcoin dropped on various exchanges between 11 and 20 percent following the regulation announcement, before rebounding upward again. Just the tone and language used. I already agreed on that, the forum is just nicer if we're all just a bit polite, even if we don't like each other. And yes, that's not always so easy If you don't speak English, don't post on English sections. But there's no restrictions regarding that. There is: 9. Discussions in the main boards must be in english. All other language discussions should be posted in the appropriate Local board. You can argue up to what point bad English is still English, but it's obvious there is a line somewhere.

Any chance you can build your own hydro power storage plant? You have 12 hours to fill your lake (and use 400 kW for miners and pumps), and 12 hours to drain your lake (and get back 200 kW). If my math is correct, you'll need enough space to store about 2000 m3 water in 2 pools with 500 m height difference.

So...Chipmixer is legit??
ChipMixer is legit. Don't take my word for it, read through 42 pages here: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinventedBe careful though, make sure you use the REAL website ChipMixer or ChipMixer on Tor. This warning applies to all mixers: many fake sites advertise on Google to steal your funds.

Although I disagree on the language The Pharmacist uses, I understand his frustration with shitposters. Not only from the Philippines, but also (or even more) from Indonesia. Words are powerful. They are sharp enough to cause wounds and could even kill. I respect opinions but yours are too offensive in my side.
If you seriously get offended by some anonymous person on the internet, you'd better get your priorities straight! I know many Filipinos, and I know they're all very proud of their country. But they also leave that country instantly if they ever get the chance, and even then they remain very proud of the place they left behind for a better place. Do I shitpost? Yes, who does not Many people don't, it's the people who don't care that create a huge problem on this forum. I currenly report much more posts than I place by myself. Do you want someone to mock a community you're in, in general? Hell no. That is discrimination and racism. Not to mention unethical. As far as I know, this forum doesn't have any rules against something as biased as "ethics", and it's the only forum I know that doesn't limit user's freedom of speech because someone else might be hurt by it. If you feel the need to mock his community, I don't think he cares. And he shouldn't care, who cares! "This guy on the internet is mean to me"? Steve Hughes explains this very well on Youtube. I agree but at least you did not singled out Filipinos. Why do you care so much? It's obvious that a country with 100 million people has many good people, but it's also obvious the large majority of Filipinos on this forum are shitposters. What if he'd say the same about all Asians: would you still be mad? Or if he says the same about all humans? I cannot blame some (or many) of my fellow countrymen here if they're not well in english Nobody blames them for having bad English, I'm terrible at hundreds of languages! But I don't post in any forum in any language that I'm bad at, that's the difference. The forum rules don't allow Google Translated posts. If you don't speak English, don't post on English sections. Some uses bounties here to sustain studies, to cope daily expenses due to unemployment. I think it's safe to say that you mean "Many" instead of "Some".
Also, doesn't this shit belong in Reputation?
I think so, yes. Unless he considers this to be related to the forum, but as far as I've seen, much worse language doesn't get deleted by moderators. I think theymos values expression of speech much higher than possibly hurting someone's feelings.

I have washed a tutorial on claiming the bitcoin cash from Electrum, but it looks like I need to have the bitcoin still in my Electrum wallet. Does this mean that I have lost my bitcoin cash? Luckily for you, you're wrong After the fork, your Bitcoin has nothing to do with your Bitcoin Cash anymore. What is important, is that you've moved your Bitcoin out of Electrum before exposing your private keys to another wallet. Depending on the amount of Bitcoins you had, and the number of addresses, you have several options. You can probably use your (12) seed phrase words and use them directly in Electron Cash. For safety, I prefer to run Electron Cash in a VM, or at least not on my normal PC. Once you've exposed your seed to another wallet, you should setup a new wallet with a new seed for your Bitcoin wallet (Electrum). As an alternative, if you only had a few addresses with balance during the fork, you can export the private keys from Electrum, and import them one by one into Electron Cash. Or, my own personal favourite for low amounts: import the private keys into Coinomi on Android. You can then do the same to claim Bitcoin Gold and Bitcore.

I'm just here to say thanks I've collected 27 airdrops so far, they're all going straight into my paper wallet, and I've never ever touched it. I am by now really curious to see if the paper wallet actually works, but I don't want to touch it. The price development is amazing now, at this rate you're airdropping $20 per week!

Newbie tiffanywalsh is copying random old texts and should be banned. Copy (one of many): Lets first analyze Litecoin. It is different from Bitcoin in 3 major ways. It runs under a different algorithm, the block speed is much faster, but the network power is not as strong as the one of bitcoin. Back in the good ol days Litecoin was peaking at $45, but what happened now? The simplest explanation is that the hype died. Litecoin was hyped to be ASIC resistant with it’s Scrypt mining algorithm and because the confirmation arrive much faster it seemed like an improvement upon bitcoin. However, we have since seen the release of the GridSeed which is an ASIC miner for litecoin. The release of the ASIC miner ruins the hype that litecoin is in fact ASIC resistant because GridSeed proves otherwise.
The other hype that surrounded litecoin was it’s faster transaction speeds and how it must be a better network. Wrong, just because a block can be solved faster and the confirmations arrive faster does not mean that the network is faster. Think of it this way, litecoin’s blocks take 2.5 minutes to be solved on average, and bitcoin blocks take 10 minutes to be solved. So in other words, 4 litecoin confirmations = 1 bitcoin confirmation security wise. So just because a confirmation arrived earlier does not mean that the transaction is just as secure as that of a longer arriving confirmation (hope that made sense).
So since litecoin is not asic proof and faster transaction speeds do not equal the same security, the hype has died. There is no real use for litecoin now because it is just another version of bitcoin with a few differences. It falls in the category of all the other litecoins which do not have any significant difference or improvements.

Let me start by adding a source to this thread: Bank of Israel: Cryptocurrencies Are Assets Not Currencies, so I can do some selective quoting: Addressing a meeting of the Knesset Finance Committee yesterday, Nadine Baudot-Trajtenberg, deputy governor of the Bank of Israel, said, "Bitcoin and similar virtual currencies are not a currency, and are not considered foreign currency." She quite literally says currencies are not a currency. But that's just the opinion of a central employee. Bitcoin is designed to be electronic cash, and it's designed to be independend of any banker's opinion.

are you saying Coinbase needs extra effort (and security consideration) to recover that BCH fund? In general: yes. But: but as you can see on BCH explorer, that amount has been moved by Coinbase I did not catch that earlier when I checked blockdozer. You're right, they have moved the funds already. I don't see the reason why they cannot simply credit his Coinbase BCH balance After this new insight (face palm for me), I see no reason why they can't credit it either. @alexadrr: I don't know what exactly you asked Coinbase support, but I suggest you try again. Something like:
Dear Coinbase, On November 13, 2017, I accidentally deposited 1.30268380 Bitcoin Cash into my Bitcoin deposit address 1FRqVkAT2owNQnRMr9H25zBj8X6b1PipAs. TxId: d4d12f1e9aeda0834b14f2acfd49855e4bffb7fa1e5a4b836fe5a2505675fceb. These funds were moved (by Coinbase) on December 20, 2017. Please credit my account with the same amount in Bitcoin Cash, or the equivalent in Bitcoin. Regards, alexadrr
Good luck!

I have already contacted the coinbase support but does not release the secret key. You'll have to ask Coinbase to recover the funds (about $3000) for you. From support.coinbase.com, if you send funds from Coinbase to a third party on the wrong chain, this is what they advice you to do: I sent funds to the wrong address. How do I get them back? ~ Sent to digital currency address ~ In this scenario, it would be necessary to contact the receiving party and seek their cooperation in returning the funds. Now I can only assume they'd advice you the same if you send it to Coinbase themselves on the wrong chain. This thread explains (for kraken.com) why it's not as simple as forking your home wallet: exchanges have security measures in place so that a support employee can't just solve this for you. You'll have to ask for their cooperation, and my best guess would be they can restore forked chains in batches once in a while. It could very well be they charge you for this, and $500 may not be enough.

I'm not sure If it can be done through the GUI Bitcoin Core's GUI can do this: On the Send-tab, just click "Add Recipient" at the bottom. Image found on Google:

Each one highlighted in red, actually cost way MORE for you to send, than it was actually worth!!?! ~ TL;DR: Don't collect dust... and use a wallet with Coin Control.I noticed this too indeed. The wallet should be able to prevent this, but I can imagine many people complain if they can't use all their funds. We would still be using it for Bitcoin Cash transactions only but if anyone has recommendations for other good Bitcoin Cash wallets we would be happy to hear. I've used Electron Cash without problems, but I don't trust it, so I've only used it in a VM. I see you transfered this money. Problem fixed? Yes, thank you both, if LoyceV agrees we can send you both a tip, preferably in BCH because of low fees and guaranteed delivery of funds. I'm totally fine with this. You didnt answer what about me.
This thread received many new posts between the time I started typing and the moment I posted my previous post. I'm fine with anything
It's confirming, thanks

Thank you LoyceV! Happy to help. I see you paid about 50% in fee, madness LoyceV, Please provide us with your BCH wallet for a tip (15% of the amount) 1Ad9xp6Bi7gcznEPJcEghPvQDpvS6FCojy goes straight into my Coinomi Bitcoin Cash wallet, thanks!

i understood but how to recover it. You can't "undo" Bitcoin transactions, all transactions are final. You can enter the receiving address in blockchain.info's search field to find the transaction, but once confirmed, there's nothing you can do.

Why do you bring this up? It's also suspected of being a ponzi scheme. More links for further reading. Dekado is even advertised as an alternative to Bitconnect, I recommend to stay away from both.

16wgAfS2wtEmCECQXeziejSFLzcDTVbMm2 0.00353186 BTC
This one has only $14 unconfirmed, the rest is all good and confirmed.
The other 2 addresses have 0 BTC, when we try to browse to the next page no addresses show up. I haven't used blockchain.info in a long time, but if it says your balance is 0.016, it should add up on some of the addresses. Anyone wants to assist here via Skype? This is how you get scammers to contact you. Assuming you have your recovery word phrase, I suggest you try this: Anyways, Correct me if I'm wrong but even on mac you should be able to import it on electrum just by using your recovery phrase on blockchain.info. Just click the options button and tick the BIP39 Seed box when you are prompted to enter the seed. See if your full 0.016 pops up in Electrum, and go from there.

Update: Dekado isn't a wallet, it's a spamming ponzi scam.i am new to this bitcoin. say about a week. i dont know what is private key or where it is available and how to use it. please guide me the process Sorry to inform you: your money is gone. Even if you wouldn't have sent it to the wrong chain, it would have been stolen anyway. If you're new to Bitcoin, why would you send your newly bought money to just any site that promises some lie? General note: don't send many to ponzi scammers! They earn millions from scamming users, and they'll just move their "business" to the next site.
