2422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: High Fees Are Killing Adoption in South America (and the 3rd world in general) on: May 24, 2020, 03:27:46 AM
It feels like fiat currencies are collapsing and this should be the time for BTC and crypto in general to shine but instead adoption is being slowed down by a relatively flawed economic incentives system and greedy miners... Where is the lighting network?

If you can provide a cryptographic way to link an address to a location, even temporarily, blockchain services can offer reduced rates (i.e. 90% off) for users in that location.
2423  Economy / Reputation / Re: Can we trust Legendary member chmod755 ? on: May 24, 2020, 03:11:19 AM
You are right, no matter how some people don't want to see me here, this post and trust will not make me run away, I will stay here and active on the forum, some people liking it or not.

As long as people know not to trust the words and actions of this profile before 2020 (and a neutral would reduce that chance), they should have no reason to not trust you on new deals.   Once you build a new reputation, not reliant on the purchased one, I'll change my rating to neutral.  Smiley
2424  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for help designing a collectible on: May 24, 2020, 02:11:17 AM
Received a few replies - want to clarify one point.

I'm not looking to automate your service - I'm looking to add it to a blockchain.

The blockchain does not verify you did something correctly - it only verifies you did it.  Your reputation assumes you did it correctly, and more people use you.  If anyone proves your part of the process was fraudulent - it could taint your results in the future.

I'm building a digital checklist that is completed through smart contracts.  The smart contract assigns you a task and you digitally sign off on it.  Be it physically building something, verifying something works, or simply getting a list (from a service like BPIP).

You are still doing what you do.
We are automating the process of giving you work.

I'll respond to each email individually.
2425  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Traders needed for sandbox testing - Forgotten Crypt on: May 24, 2020, 01:51:12 AM
I'm sorry - I've looked more into the project.   My  Lips sealed indicated a quick suggestion - a drive by opinion.   Sorry about that.

I've joined the interest list, but not as a trader (I have little experience outside of the awesome Gunbot).  I'll send you more details off forum, so as not to derail your thread.

Edit:  Oops. Something went wrong. Please try again later.

Hi Demonprince Baal,

can you please set your account: receiving personal messages from newbies? And write me?

Thanks, jcdesigner

jc, use BPIP extension.

You can see when reading the post that the user has not been active for a long time.  Smiley
2427  Bitcoin / Project Development / Looking for help designing a collectible on: May 23, 2020, 09:40:15 AM
I am looking for someone who has experience in an aspect of collectible creation.  Design or manufacture or distribute.

As I build my collectible, you will work with me to integrate your service into a blockchain.  One of my directions is building a GUI wizard for smart contracts.  Your service could become part of an automated and recorded process.  This service will naturally evolve into a fast and cheap escrow system.

I'm looking at a bill rather than a coin.  It will be loaded with some bitcoin and have a scratch area and QR code on the back.   The key factor that will make me work with you is your willingness and ability to automate your part of the process.

For more info, please email. I hope to have a proper proposal and new web design out this week.  Smiley

I'm going to link this post in the collectibles section, but this is more of a projects project than a collectible project.

2429  Economy / Reputation / Re: Can we trust Legendary member chmod755 ? on: May 23, 2020, 03:08:34 AM
You want to revert? Create a petition thread on meta and see if you have enough supporters, theymos will revert that if you have enough supporters  Grin
Welcome, I will support.

Do we want to add an extra burden to admin?  If the account has changed hands, it cannot be credited with the previous attributes.   The profile is now fraudulent - erasing merit will not erase the goodwill the old owner built over the years.

A tag saying the account changed hands is a perfect use of the trust system.    Anyone wanting to do business with chmod755  can choose to disregard it if they want, but they need to be aware the historical record of that profile is not accurate.
2430  Other / Meta / Re: VOD should be removed from default trust for systematic abuse of his position on: May 23, 2020, 12:09:42 AM
Trust me, there's a lot of roadwork you have to do in order to create a system that blocks scams. Even my project in its infancy is piled with a mountain of TODOs.  Smiley

Thank you for the perfect quote - don't take this example personally.  Smiley

You ask me to trust that you've had experience dealing with large anonymous member bases, and that you've discovered it's difficult.    I don't know you - all I have is your word.  It might not work on me, but eventually some user will fall for your fake proof and start to boost your reputation.

I don't want to trust that "Bob" did his due diligence in investigating you.  I want to verify what you claim.

My system is anonymous and trust less.  I'm not trying to stop the wave, I'm just going to ride it and assist anyone I see drowning.

2431  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Sirio CT Bitcoin rental company; 10%/month; 1 year contract on: May 22, 2020, 02:27:53 PM
if this firm had been able to make 10% every month over ten years, and was giving it all to investors, guess how much you would have made with each $1,000 contract?

$92,709,069

I would pay you your interest for the first month, then take no more investments.  I don't need you to make money.   What kind of CFO would let a company give away all their profits?

I will sincerely suggest you read this book about financial basics.   It helped me when I was growing up.

Good luck in the future, but stop promoting this here please.
2432  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Sirio CT Bitcoin rental company; 10%/month; 1 year contract on: May 22, 2020, 02:11:33 PM
It looks like now you know all about me too.

I do?  Why does that matter?

If you tell me you are going to jump to the moon, I'm going to say you are crazy before I investigate your background.

2433  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Sirio CT Bitcoin rental company; 10%/month; 1 year contract on: May 22, 2020, 01:59:54 PM
rikuu, look at my numbers.  I've been here busting ponzis before you knew what crypto or money was.

My experience means I don't need to investigate/research.  It's a clear scam.  You are new and you've learned the hard way.

Don't try and scam from this community - we'll say something.
2434  Other / Meta / Re: VOD should be removed from default trust for systematic abuse of his position on: May 22, 2020, 10:29:34 AM
If the feedback is only for Meriting a post (and it looks like that from the Reference link), I think it is.

I would agree that negative trust for a merit would be trust abuse.  The reference link was a poor choice, but I also left negative trust for bonesjonesreturns for doing the exact same thing.  Look at my sent trust.  No conspiracy - just a jealous troll.

I've said it before but I'll say it again: OgNasty should ignore Vod, and Vod should ignore OgNasty! You two don't like each other, we get it. That's okay. Let it be, and move on.

I'm hoping to have a system to prevent scams up by Jul 1, assuming I can collect all the data I need.
2435  Other / Meta / Re: VOD should be removed from default trust for systematic abuse of his position on: May 22, 2020, 04:36:35 AM
You idiots can relax.

Once I post the proof I'll be moving to my new clubhouse, and I will make sure I review all feedback I've left regarding OG's scam.  My community will probably view him as a thief (in blockchain we trust)  - but your community can view him however you want, and I won't interfere.   There are also tens of thousands who don't care enough to wade through all the junk you guys post to hide information.

But right now I'm still building the relevant blockchain transactions, and OG is still calling me a pedophile as his defense.  Like pirate, he has nothing to lose.

TLDR; I don't trust you because of your actions; when I leave I won't care about you.  Smiley

Edit:  Shouldn't this be moved to reputation?

Personal space is an approximate area surrounding an individual in which other people should not physically violate in order for them to feel comfortable and secure. It is the zone around individuals which they regard as psychologically theirs. The amount of personal space required for any given person is subjective. It also depends on how well you know the other person. The more intimate the relationship, the less personal space is involved.

The law does not recognize a specific crime or civil action based on violation of personal space per se. However, the law does recognize various actions based on assault, harassment and unwelcome touching.

I think we might see some new criminal legislation regarding personal space soon.

Now Vod is running around red tagging people for leaving merit he doesn't like.

No I'm not, troll.

Edit:  OG claims he heard me say I abuse children.  Attacking me is his only defense.   I try to post new information and it's quickly hidden by people who support the scammer or dislike me.

I did mention this already, and I won't again.   Troll away.

Q:  Why would the author of a custom script for sale not post the URL?
A:  Minimize the chances of an experienced member seeing it was not custom built.
