2441  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Exposing Daniel Evans and Bustabit.com Scam - Review on: October 25, 2020, 07:11:56 AM
Daniel says his game is "provably fair" and  gives you the excuse that all the numbers are pre generated already, however, the scams comes when he manually stops the game and crashes itself whenever he wants and need. He also "snipes" on people winnings.

You forgot the evidence.

Bustabit has a good reputation (at least last I heard), so don't expect much to come from this thread unless you're able to articulate how exactly they are scamming people and provide evidence to back it up. "Gambling is bad" isn't going to cut it.

I hear/read that the early voting results so far in FL are looking very promising for a Trump win there, and Biden just greatly hurt his chances in PA and OH with his comments about "phasing out"/shutting down the oil industry...

Starting to get more confident in a Trump win again..

Looks like for in person early voting they're at  ~ 640k for republicans, 500k for dems.

Mail in is 1.64m to 1.04m in favor of democrats.

So democrats actually have a significant lead now, but that's expected to shrink pretty consistently up till election day since a higher % of Republicans have yet to vote (they're more likely to vote in person).

2445  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you think COVID19 is a scam? on: October 24, 2020, 10:51:46 AM
I disagree with you because we have see many people who affected by the corona virus and many loose their life with the virus. Covid-19 is no longer a news to the world which many countries are experiencing the same thing. Some government are using it to play politics by taxes their citizens about the vaccine  which is not yet discover in the country.
I think covid-19 is not a scam is a really virus that is spreading all over the world.

Well were is the scientific link that it has been isolated and it does inted exist. Can you care to provide the link, the world would like to know.
You know it must exits before you can develop a vaccine.

Describe the type of scientific proof that you would expect to see if it did exist.

2446  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump Paid Just $750 taxes in 2016 and 2017 ! on: October 22, 2020, 09:14:00 PM
Why would a person who was once a presidential candidate and then later became a president make deals and settle with the IRS?

Anybody who is fiddling their tax returns should not be allowed anywhere near the presidency of any country.
...

Why should someone settle?

One reason would be if the point of tax law being discussed is in fact unclear and subject to multiple interpretations.

The IRS makes deals and settles with a vast number of taxpayers, for various reasons.

Another reason would be because you did whatever has been alleged and the offer now is better than if you made them put the effort into proving what you already know is true.

This reminds me of your silly "Michael Flynn is innocent because he admitted he was guilty (twice) and took a plea deal." argument.

2447  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [BET] Trump or not Trump 2020, eddie13 vs suchmoon on: October 22, 2020, 09:02:45 PM

Transphobia today is what Homophobia was 20 years ago.

Both of these words are propaganda deflection terms..

What term would you prefer to be used when describing people that think negatively of homosexuals and transgender people in general instead of homophobia and transphobia?
2448  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [BET] Trump or not Trump 2020, eddie13 vs suchmoon on: October 22, 2020, 07:12:35 PM
By mental illness I’m not referring to physical ailments as mentioned above. I’m talking about the crazy gender neutral creatures I see who are offended by pronouns.

Oh, my mistake, for I truly thought you were talking about neurobiological disorders akin to mental illness and not taking a potshot at the small percentage of those with sexual orientations not in alignment with your own. How awful that must be for you. Have you considered designating some sort of safe space for yourself when the going gets too tough?

If there's one person on this forum who doesn't need a safe space...  LOL

I hardly would describe anyone who doesn't have my sexual orientation to be "crazy gender neutral creatures I see who are offended by pronouns."  The homosexual people I know are quite aware of their gender and not offended when you call them a man for having a penis or a woman for having a vagina.  I don't believe I mentioned anything about sexual orientation at all, so you are getting offended by something you're making up in your own head.  Maybe you need the safe space from your own mind?

Transphobia today is what Homophobia was 20 years ago.  (Yes I understand the differences between the two, I mean the way they're treated)

If you were referring to the Russia investigation, there was no predicate to start the investigation.

The predicate was when a Trump campaign advisor told an Australian diplomat that Russia had politically damaging material on Clinton.
I don’t think this is sufficient to open an investigation. The amount of lies told at bars is off the charts. If everything said at a bar were to be believed, investigations into everyone and their brother would be opened, and everyone would have a Nobel peace prize (not the participation kind that your side advocates for).
Are you saying the FBI should assume anything said in a bar is a lie (even though in this case it was not)?   Give me a break.  You have to look at tons of other factors to determine if the information is credible.  In this case, we now know it was.

everyone and their brother would be opened, and everyone would have a Nobel peace prize (not the participation kind that your side advocates for).

Not sure what you're saying here (other than 'my side is good, yours is bad) I don't see what investigating claims made in bars has to do with the Nobel Prize and I think they only award the Nobel Peace Prize for one cause a year.  Sometimes it's shared between two people or organizations that contributed to the same cause, but it's not something they give out like candy.

Is this related to the World Food Program, which Hunter Biden used to be on the board for, winning the Nobel Peace Prize this year?
2449  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Plastic barriers next to supermarket queues. on: October 22, 2020, 09:16:13 AM

It's quite offensive to suggest that everyone with health problems is stupid or weak-willed.

It's offensive to force nations into penury, ill health and even death, just because some people can't stop eating rubbish food, or have to destroy their lungs and other organs with cigarettes and chemicals.

Do you really believe that all unhealthy people are stupid and weak?  Pretty ignorant.

Why would he hide behind excuses? What is stopping him from releasing his tax returns while the audit is on-going?

There is absolutely nothing stopping anybody releasing their tax returns while the audit with the IRS is going on.
....

Yeah, that's you trying to push someone else into doing something.

You can ask nicely.

Naw, leftists would rather sue to get them, or outright steal them.

I'm guessing the reason you wouldn't want to release them during an audit is that the legal team / tax law team is interested in ensuring that the financial ramifications of the audit are as low as possible. If you are to release your tax returns to the public you risk pressure on the IRS to ensure that they make penalties as strict as possible....

Sounds reasonable. In such a situation I might make a quick compromise offer to the IRS, something like "let's settle for 1/2 the disputed amount, but this offer is only good for 10 days."

But then people'd complain he got off easy.

I think it's because he doesn't want people to know that he's not a successful businessman, just a reality TV star that's good at being famous.

If you were referring to the Russia investigation, there was no predicate to start the investigation.

The predicate was when a Trump campaign advisor told an Australian diplomat that Russia had politically damaging material on Clinton.  He was referring to the hacked DNC emails that were released on the same day as the 'grab them by the pussy' tapes.

The investigation revealed the previously unknown details of how Russia influenced the campaign to benefit Trump and the multiple connections between members of the Trump campaign (many now convicted felons) and Russia.  As I've said before, you really should read it if you want to have an informed opinion.  In addition to the executive summary, Volume 1 -  Section 4 is a good place to start: https://www.justice.gov/storage/report.pdf

There's also an IG report that found the investigation was not influenced by any political bias, and the reason for opening it was valid, which isn't surprising considering the fact that Obama always distanced himself whenever possible from any DOJ or law enforcement decisions.  Here's the IG report: https://assets.documentcloud.org/documents/6571581/IG-Report-Exec-Summary.pdf

If Biden wins, the country will be run into the ground and things like mental illness will be shoved down our throats as normal;

Wait is mental health something people complain about being made aware of?

He didn't post all emails and left out the part where we offered to cancel the winnings in exchange for his deposit being returned.
You should post the email (with his consent).

Right now it looks like you're lying about that part.

His wager was on a game that was excluded from the 40x rollover as per the terms too.
Are you referring to this?

Quote
Wagering at Video Poker, roulette (any roulette), Black Jack (any Black Jack) or any other Table Game does not count in the wagering requirements.

Because that just says those games don't contribute to the requirement.  That's not the same as not being allowed to play them.

We will keep focusing on making the site even better for real players.

2455  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Biden is ahead: Trump is anti-crypto now; Biden’s been anti-crypto for 30 years! on: October 20, 2020, 05:41:30 AM
I don't see any good coming from Biden taking a stand one way or the other at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't sure right now other than wanting to keep it on the table.  Could be a great bargaining chip a few months from now if he wins, or there could be some other reason that pushes him one way or the other.

There is no reason to keep such a dumb idea on the table. Denounce it or own it. And if you're threatening to change the number of justices on the court to use as a bargaining chip, that's literally undemocratic.

RBG denounced this stupid idea by the way.

How is it literally undemocratic to pass a law that changes the number of justices on the supreme court?  Congress has that explicit power. Or do you just feel very strongly about the number 9?  In the end, if the country feels strongly enough against it, they won't give the WH, Senate and House to democrats.

I'm kind of on the fence, but I don't think it's too extreme or would cross any line that hasn't been crossed already - I just think if Democrats sweep they should put serious effort into making a less divided country.

On the other hand, I think it's really silly to argue that the court should lean one way for basically a generation because the last judge happened to die in September instead of Dec or later.
2456  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Biden is ahead: Trump is anti-crypto now; Biden’s been anti-crypto for 30 years! on: October 20, 2020, 02:57:39 AM
Would be interesting to see if PR wants to become a state. Remember as of now residents are not paying federal income tax. So becoming a state would get them more benefits but cost a lot of people $$$. I feel DC *should* become a state OR we as a nation should stop taxing people who live there. It is technically taxation without representation so there is that....

-Dave

They've voted to not become a state several times I believe.  Haven't really kept up with what's going on with them and DC joining recently though.

Apparently Trump said some pretty stupid things at his rally today, even by todays standards.  Basically gifted Biden an effective campaign ad.

“He’ll listen to the scientists, If I listened totally to the scientists, we would right now have a country that would be in a massive depression instead — we’re like a rocket ship. Take a look at the numbers.”

“He wants to listen to Dr. Fauci. He wants to listen to Dr. Fauci.”

Plenty of dems have openly called to pack the courts in Congress, so Biden would have a say in court packing if there ever was a large enough margin. Biden owes people an answer on court packing, but of course he's already made it clear voters don't deserve to know his position prior to election day (how that makes sense is beyond me, I'm not even going to try to understand how he came up with that logic).

I don't see any good coming from Biden taking a stand one way or the other at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't sure right now other than wanting to keep it on the table.  Could be a great bargaining chip a few months from now if he wins, or there could be some other reason that pushes him one way or the other.

Chuck Schumer has also floated the idea of making DC and Puerto Rico states so that the senate can get 4 more democratic senators. Not quite democratic to change the rules when you don't get your way.

Schumer can't just make DC and Puerto Rico states.  He could allow a vote on the Senate floor, but PR or DC becoming a State would require a bunch of other votes as well.  Quite democratic.

If Barr were to appoint a special prosecutor, it would create another avenue in which the story would be thrust into the news.

Surely you're not suggesting a presidential nominees ties to a foreign country be investigated during the election, are you?  Because I thought you said that was treason or something.

In other news, I recently learned that the World Food Program was one of the non profits that Hunter Biden was on the board for and they won a Nobel Prize last week.  What a stark contrast to Trumps children (and himself) exploiting the Trump foundation for personal gain.  (they were forced to shut it down and they're now barred from running, or being on the board of any charity in the state of NY...I believe for life.
2460  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Biden is ahead: Trump is anti-crypto now; Biden’s been anti-crypto for 30 years! on: October 19, 2020, 06:35:13 PM
How do you suppose that he got away with instant tyranny, as much as he wanted?  (For pedantic correctness:  Off the top of my head, I don’t know if the Roosevelt gold ban was one of the issues directly impacted by the court-stacking threat; but I do know that the Commerce Clause abuse that is nowadays institutionalized to Federalize everything did start with Roosevelt, for exactly that reason.  And your Supreme Court should have, and otherwise would have promptly torn up everything from Socialist Insecurity, to quotas imposed on how much farmers could grow, etc., etc.)

A president can't just pack the courts though.  His only real power is to stop them from being packed.  For the number of judges to change, you need enough of the 400+ members of the House that represent the entire country and are elected every 2 years to make it happen.  So, not really tyranny.
