How can round length and luck differ? Having short rounds = being lucky.
Highlights: ...... - Note that Deepbit has larger than expected round lengths but also better than expected luck index. This is because for its percentage of the network hashrate, Deepbit found more blocks than expected.
The luck index is a measure of % of network blocks found by a pool compared to it's % of network hashrate. Deepbit's round length / D = 1.04, but it managed to find more blocks per hash than the network did. In other words, although unlucky in terms of round length, it was relatively lucky compared to the average for all other pools and hashrate contributors. why is maxbtc always so lucky?
who is haxx0ring?
You must be looking at someone else's chart. Mine do not show Maxbtc to be luckier than other pools. SILENCE!!!!!!!111 NO MORE LIES

A friend of mine has a GPUmax account that he would like to sell. I will be acting as an escrow in this transaction.
Bidding will start at 5BTC and will go up in increments of 5BTC.
At any time I reserve the right to cancel the auction and return funds if they have already been paid.
The auction will end 82 hours and 44 minutes after this post. That's August 2nd 12:00 PST.
If there is a last minute bid, the duration of the auction will be extended by one minute, and this routine will continue until one minute past the final bid.
Thanks, Garrett
i bid a swift kick to the ass

The great thing about capitalism is you don't have to buy anything you don't want. PS your link was awesome! I love how it showed the exact model I have, but for Mac, selling for $275+! yes, they sell for more for the mac.

One sold, one left.
did you remove your ebay auction? because the only one i see that sold in the last day went for less than what you're asking here, after fees just a friendly reminder, so you dont get negative feedback oh, wait, my bad, that was the guy on the other thread w/ the 5870's. i do see a sapphire xtreme for $75 buy-it-now though I do not have anything listed on ebay. Saying you see one for $75 buy-it-now is also very misleading. It is $75 + $15 shipping + it doesn't have the stock fan or shroud, etc... The closest buy-it-now on ebay for the same used card that I am selling is $104 w/ free shipping... well, according to the guy listing it, it has some sort of über fan on it instead. but, yeah, i agree, it was misleading although that one did sell for $79.99 + $15 shipping.. i think it was either today or yesterday ed: i dont see it anymore?? did someone buy it? wtf

so, i'm waiting to hear back from someone
and not much else happening
hence i shall bump this
w/ removing the danger den water block and selling the cards like that, i still won't go below $250/ea... and at $250 it would take some consideration
at least until i've had a crack at selling them on ebay for $350 or so intact
err, actually after checking ebay prices, i was way off. a recent spate of buys at $400... avg price more like $350 or so... probably would try $400 w/ block

It's just that in our current situation (as miners), ASIC and the block reward halving leave the future very cloudy in terms of profitability. We simply can't go spending more money than we will make before it's no longer profitable.
or go paying like 20% more than what they sell for on ebay, where the buyer has more protection anyway, http://www.ebay.com/csc/Graphics-Video-Cards-/27386/i.html?LH_Complete=1&_nkw=radeon+5870it looks like the general consensus is that used 5870s arent worth $200 i guess put 'BITCOIN READY' and you might get more for it

So let's see. $175 x .88 = $154. If you expect to get over that, or anywhere near that price on a forum filled with educated buyers, just get the listing up on eBay now and save yourself the headache. I bought an Asus Matrix 5870 for $130 shipped. The two guys who have posted offers are about the best you'll get.
Good point. They're both up on ebay now. If anybody makes a decent offer with BTC etc. maybe I'll still sell them here. the smart way to list on eBay would be to put it at at a $170 buy-it-now, and don't take offers on it. that should sell straight auction has a moderate risk of ending under $150 those are the ones i like, the $125's, $130's etc

I could buy two without heat sink if it comes to that.
for how much? i'd remove the water block and sell it separately, i guess. i could ship the fan with the card $500 (ed: which includes the shipping charge, was a bit ambiguous before) for both? (though i'd wait at least a week for that, and maybe even try selling them on ebay, i duno)

Update
Due to on-going issues (high stale/reject) with Slush's pool we've stopped supporting it.
Thanks,

Can you give an update on how many people are still in the queue waiting for an account, and how quickly you're moving towards getting accounts for all the users waiting? Thanks. i submitted in february and haven't received anything

i'm not sure why blockchain.info doesn't report all the "mmhi from poolserverj" blocks as from 50BTC. That's probably 90% of the ones that I get credited to 5.9.24.81
or is that just a generic message? i've noticed that almost all of them get credited to 50btc

i use 'barelyclocked' in windows

Asking price is $400 cash, or 50 BTC. Includes priority mail shipping anywhere in the US.
that price may have been deliberately set high to give you some haggle room, but 5870's sell for around $175'ish on ebay, and that's with 12% in fees what does this signify? you're agreeing that the price was deliberately set high? i agree $120 is too low, but something like $135-$140 is an offer that should be considered

What sort of hash rate were you getting from these?
well, i never ran them past 1.05v... according to the original owner, he had them OC'ed past the stock voltage at one point or another and ran them at 950/300, there's a picture of it @ https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=63300.msg740521 (down at the bottom) he wasn't using optimum miner though, i switched over to phoenix after I got it. the 845/150, 845/150 card @ 1.05v gets about 785-790mhash, the others are a bit less (835/835 and 840/825). i think you could actually go higher a little bit (maybe +5 core) on those settings, since I was using increments of 10 while testing and they've run stable for hundreds of hours at those settings. i usually run that at night. i run them all at 810/150 @ 1.01v during the day, though I'm 99% sure they're also stable at 815/150 (and some cards can probably go higher). likewise, all 6 gpus are stable at 735/150 @ 0.99v, but they can all probably do 740/150, and some may be able to do higher than that

If you guys didn't get your shit out when they where going under you are just a little late to the boat.
The last time I heard they where taking all unredeamed equities and putting them twords some merchant solution project they where working on.
i was in prison when neteller got jacked by the US govt. they only gave you like 6 months to withdraw i got screwed

i also can't sell the danger den block separately, as that'd put me in the difficult situation of trying to sell a card w/o a heatsink

Have two. Used for about 2 months of mining about a year ago. Both are working, one I took out of my PC last night to make room for an expansion card, the second one I will take out when it sells. This is the reference version. It also includes the crossfire cables.
I averaged about 375-420 MH/s with each one for a total of 675-800 combined a year ago. Maybe the drivers are better now.
