2461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CommunityCoin (COMM) Fair & FREE Distribution | Pure PoS | On BTER Market on: April 22, 2014, 09:01:16 PM

Can anyone answer to the above? I mean seriously. It seems such an easy task, wouldn't this be step 1 in launching a coin yet here you sit how many weeks in and still 0 accounting for the distribution where the Dev could easily be dumping 500,000k blocks at will with no one the wiser. This should be called COMPCoin for Incompetent.

Please post in bigger fonts. I enjoy it the same way as when someone screams out an argument. Louder and more annoying always makes an argument more persuasive and accurate.

Anyway, I did post an answer earlier, but you chose to ignore it. And I expected you would. Nobody here has an exact list for you, and it may be difficult seeing as distribution is not even over yet. There is no need to repeatedly post the same thing, in giant letters, unless you simply wish to confirm your troll status even further.

You asked your questions... if not answered by the time distribution is complete, ask again like a normal human.
2462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CommunityCoin (COMM) Fair & FREE Distribution | Pure PoS | BTER - MINTPAL on: April 22, 2014, 08:45:42 PM

There is nothing in the OP that gives a full accounting are even a partial accounting of the coins distribution to date and what amount remains to be distributed.  A full accounting list members that received stakes and amounts received as well as exact amount remaining to be distributed - amount lost in the "lost" wallet.  None of this has been done in even the slightest of ways, all we have is clusterfuck lists of member names and some rough guesses the Dev posts that may or may not be in any way close to the fact and we can't know bcs he has not in anyway accounted from the distribution of coins.

They aren't even finished yet --

Quote
http://communitycoin.info/reconsider/
note: reconsideration form is there for a last chance for those few who kept the rules, supported community, it  will be fixed soon, some of people who posted at test period (yesterday) will be blacklisted. (Read before send anything)

There are/were lists for distribution either on the old thread, or on ecoiner, or somewhere. But again, it'd probably make more sense to wait until distribution is finalized.

They have stated the amount in the lost wallet and put a fix in.

Not that I expect any answers will matter to you.
2463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CommunityCoin (COMM) Fair & FREE Distribution | Pure PoS | On BTER Market on: April 22, 2014, 08:29:57 PM

Why?  Truth sucks right.  Still not a single member has spoke to the points in my first post today, how can you support a coin where a single person is in charge of the distribution and he does not give any details to who and how much has been distributed?  This is not hard guys, its really really simple actually.  Flip out the word troll and be dimissive all you like, until the Dev stops being obtuse/lazy/crooked and fully accounts for the distribution this coin it will never go where you want it too.

I don't call people a troll when they bring up concerns. I call people trolls when they post in giant letters and feel a need to repeat themselves nonstop ... post over and over the same exact things, and expect the dev to somehow magically drop whatever he is doing (I would expect he is at work) and answer questions immediately.

As for the distribution, I may be incorrect, but don't even think they are 100% finished yet, as they have that reconsideration thing on their 1st page.
2464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CommunityCoin (COMM) Fair & FREE Distribution | Pure PoS | On BTER Market on: April 22, 2014, 08:04:13 PM
The higher the price, the more the trolls will come out to play.

You'll have those who didn't receive a stake, or 2nd stake, and angry about it.
And you'll get those who cashed out early on and are feeling bad that the price is now higher.
You'll also get those who simply want to buy in cheap and get the price down a bit.

2465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Mazacoin ** FAKE Sovereign Currency ** on: April 22, 2014, 06:27:30 PM
Strange then that your own mazacoin.org webpage links to http://www.oglalalakotanation.org/oln/Home.html, which shows Brewer as President.
And you agree you have no statements from anyone representing the tribe to agree that it has been adopted as an official currency.
Brewer was voted for by his own people, which is more than is true for you.

I believe Brewer did come out later on (semi recently) saying they were reviewing mazacoin, which is more than he ever said previously. At least he publicly admitted he knew what it was.

But no, no public statements from the tribe saying they already accepted it has come out.
2466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EARTHCOIN CELEBRATES EARTH DAY WITH A CONTEST – EAC 700K IN PRIZES!! on: April 22, 2014, 06:17:13 PM
Hmm... an eensy, teensy piece of the Earth. Maybe a grain?

Although I am not sure if I see the point based on EAC's current prices. I don't think many people will be buying things with sat equivalents of EAC.
2467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MZC][SHA-256] MAZACOIN *First Sovereign Currency* ANDROID WALLET AVAIL.!! on: April 22, 2014, 05:42:08 PM

Maybe he KNOWS the price is going to go up, and he is provoking you into selling it before that happens.

So maybe he is just gobbling up cheap coins, with the idea the CNN story, or some news, will then spike up the price later.

Or he is just grossly incompetent.

Either way is fucked up...driving the price down would be may more fucked up of course.

I agree. It's not like either option is so great. It's difficult to come up with another rational explanation though.
2468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MZC][SHA-256] MAZACOIN *First Sovereign Currency* ANDROID WALLET AVAIL.!! on: April 22, 2014, 05:33:23 PM

Maybe he KNOWS the price is going to go up, and he is provoking you into selling it before that happens.

I've wondered about that. It could explain the hesitance to fork as well.

I have a hard time coming up for a rational explanation otherwise. Basically everything AP says or does seems designed to drive the price of the coin down. I also don't get the 'long term' outlook statements, as at some point, don't they kinda need to give the Lakotas their mazacoin? And what use is it if it's worth less than a $1 per 1000? They can't say that in 5+ years they plan to give the coin out, as the coin will be long dead by then.

So maybe he is just gobbling up cheap coins, with the idea the CNN story, or some news, will then spike up the price later.

Or he is just grossly incompetent.
2469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Enough Now! - CCB Announcement on: April 22, 2014, 04:11:15 PM
Anyway, I believe the exchanges may be arranging something like this anyway? Or some group is. I recall the NobleCoin dev commenting on some groups forming as a way to rate coins. If they charge for it, it's bad news.

Actually, if they charged the users for it, it would be a good thing.

I meant they may charge coin makers for the privilege of getting rated. And that is dangerous territory.
2470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Enough Now! - CCB Announcement on: April 22, 2014, 05:58:54 AM
I think if people want to invest in coins called rapecoin, scamcoin and Fuckcoin then let them. If you are going to make an website rating all the different coins then sure but I don't think Bitcointalk should be regulated like this. I've seen the threads of these particular coins and I was a bit the same at first but then realized that I really don't care because it's up to each individual to make up their own mind. Many new people will start with Bitcoin and coming here I doubt their first choice would be a coin called rapecoin or scamcoin and if they did invest in them, it is up to them.

I think such groups rating coins are on their way, regardless of what this forum does. I do question if they are needed for coins like rapecoin/scamcoin/fuckcoin and the like, however. I mean, what type of person needs a rating group to tell them that those coins may not be wise investments?

I'd be fine with some forum moderation here, within reason. To be honest, I was surprised when I started here and saw basically no moderation whatsoever. I'd say removing anything promoting illegal activity wouldn't be such a bad idea. It doesn't matter though what we say, as if moderators haven't done anything about it by now, I doubt they will.
2471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Enough Now! - CCB Announcement on: April 22, 2014, 05:47:20 AM

Satoshi started Bitcoin based on some forum post! This is not about someone needing the skillset to start something like this. It is a person actually being proactive to start something like this.
Problem here is the media landscape has groomed us to not trust individuals anymore thus having to trust in institutions it is a fallacy and its very point is to keep us from banding together and that is why we get this heavy paranoia in here about scammers when there is little proof from anyone that there is in fact any scam going forward! My suggestion is try and keep this to what it is..an attempt to round up some like minded mature individuals to help setup something that can be beneficial for this space..don't ruin that and twist it into your paranoias, misconceptions and warped view on reality!

You automatically assume I felt the OP was not qualified, I see.

I never said such. I simply asked if the OP had any qualifications that would make him appropriate to start such a group.

If a new member, they may not have the background as to know what type of people post in this forum or enough experience with cryptos. Hence why I asked. And if not a new member, we'd question why they are using a fake account.

Edited: mistakenly thought the OP was replying.
2472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Enough Now! - CCB Announcement on: April 22, 2014, 05:42:32 AM
Thank you so much for your help. I really need someone to tell me Herpes coin is crap.

Oh this may be unrelated but can someone please tell me the difference between my ass and elbow?

Yeah, that is another valid point. If someone needs a group to tell them that they shouldn't invest their life savings into Herpes Coin or Rape Coin, they have bigger problems than how to invest in a coin. They should see a doctor as perhaps they just had a stroke or fell on their head one too many times.

What people probably could use, but it's out of our hands, is real forum moderation. And I don't mean censorship. I mean outright scams (like nearly 100% certain it's a scam), trolling, and coins that are over the top offensive or clearly pure junk (such as those promoting illegal activity) ... could be cleaned up from the forum. There is no way to stop people from making terrible coins, nor should anyone even try to stop them. But the forum can be  moderated to a somewhat normal extent.

Again, no way to make the moderators do this, however.
2473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Enough Now! - CCB Announcement on: April 22, 2014, 05:25:50 AM

So,

Today i announce CCB (Crypro Certification Board)

The board will review every old as well as new coin submitted on the basis of innovation, dedication, and future ideas for real world applications. Based on this review, certifications will be awarded to these coins. People will be educated to invest their time and money in CCB Certified coins only.

I request moderators and distinguished members to come forward and start sketching the workings of the board.

We really need this

And what is your background and why do you feel you are qualified to start this type of group?

As stated by someone else, if you want distinguished members here, you may have slim pickings if you want honest appraisals. Many distinguished people here are 'distinguished' for their bad behavior .. the same people who formed that shitcoin killing group. And the same people who have scammed and cheated people here with their shitcoins, or have taken part in their own shady dealings.

And forum moderators barely show up here at all, as from what I can see. Normal moderated forums would have removed coins like rapecoin as soon as they were posted -- both for moral reasons, and legal reasons.

Sad as it is to say, this place is not the place to look for honest members who can fairly review coins. You'll basically end up with scammers reviewing other coins from scammers.

Anyway, I believe the exchanges may be arranging something like this anyway? Or some group is. I recall the NobleCoin dev commenting on some groups forming as a way to rate coins. If they charge for it, it's bad news. If free, and if the members are professionally organized (meaning not based on some forum post), I guess it could be better than nothing.

2475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: You got scammed in an IPO? Get some free NAS to lessen the pain! [NAS Promotion] on: April 22, 2014, 03:07:47 AM
If you have a ton of NAS to give out and not enough takers, offer the same deal to Cryptorush/Coinex people... although I expect that may require an awful lot of free coin to make up for the pain.
2476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MZC][SHA-256] MAZACOIN *First Sovereign Currency* ANDROID WALLET AVAIL.!! on: April 22, 2014, 12:26:30 AM
I think maza is the first coin where the devs actively seem to hate its supporters. And yeah, he basically called everyone a troll. Such a bizarre mindset. Forget the fork, the coin has other problems besides the fact there are too many coins.

Maybe he will call people who hate his website a troll too? And by changing his website, which was designed with the Master Coin Website formula, it would disrupt the longterm price of the coin?

It's almost like Maza is the Anti-Community coin.
2477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Marinecoin. Sex Lies and Videotape. Truth, scandal or scam. Thoughts? on: April 22, 2014, 12:04:05 AM

Yeh most this thread isnt trolling.  I think people actually think im a dev for marinecoin. Trolling is being subjective rather then objective in conversation i would think.
And yes it does look like an infomercial and is making incredible claims of citys and yachts with a bunch of rich pricks dancing with wine and fancy haircuts.. im a long haired bearded fucker who doesnt wear suits and drinks beer out of a can like real people do.
Thats not what interests me at all, pretty sure that bit should be toned down and perhaps a poor marketing plan.. haha
im am interested though in a centralized democratic cryptocurrency.  Even the possibility of one.  If the premine is used properly even crazy ideas like boats and cities is possible.
So truth scandal or scam? Scandal for sure, truth mostly so far (why i am here trying to find.out things i dont know) and scam? Havent seen any scamming so far.

I am not so sure I would say someone is trolling if they aren't completely objective, but everyone will have a different definition for a troll. I haven't seen much trolling at all in this thread. As an example, look at the past history for Spoetnik's posts, and you can see troll-like behavior. Although I will give him credit in this thread and say he has been rather reserved. I wish he posted like this more often.

As for the coin, the thing is, we really invest in the developer when we purchase a coin. Yes, of course the coin specs matter, but we need to both trust the dev and believe he will actively support the coin in a way that makes sense. So when we spend money on a coin, it's really a bet on the developer. Would you trust this dev with your money? If you say yes, it's about the same as saying you'd happily give up your money to that late night host on an infommercial. Do you believe this dev has good judgment? I don't think any sane person would say yes.

And scam is overused as a term here, although one could say the dev does appear to be somewhat shady with how he set things up. He is relying on a false market cap based on the premine and making outlandish claims. And although I believe in assuming a person is innocent, when there is a 97% premine, or whatever insane number there is, and the dev holds it in its entirely ... let's just say even I am not that trusting.

A centralized cryptocurrency is sort of the opposite of what most here believe in. There is also an outright flaw in the coin's objectives, as you can say if the premine is used properly, cities and boats and whatever is possible. But a fake market cap does not equate to actual money. There is nobody to sell the coins to, no way to turn a fake cap of millions into real money. There is  2K daily volume. Maybe the dev can buy a tent and a sailboat for his Utopia? So the flaws with such a vision is you need to have blind trust in the dev, and there needs to be an actual demand and use for the coin. In this case, there really is neither.
2478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Marinecoin. Sex Lies and Videotape. Truth, scandal or scam. Thoughts? on: April 21, 2014, 09:47:11 PM

Yes delusional perhaps but great dreams are born from delusions..  and is designed to have small markey growth to stabalize.the coin.
Gotta look at the absolute idea of the thing.  It is truly genius in my opinion.  Maybe not the first and.last, but definitely still possibility.  Im pretty sure we'll be seeing this coin bounce around the marketcap for some time yet.

Think i am looking for validation on errors in the coin or even something more then one sided troll.chatter on a forum.. ha

Cmon give me something more.then this idea is too radical and the guy is probably insane. Thats just truth mixed with heresay

Well, it's your money. If you feel safe investing in delusions, be my guest. And yes, many coins and new inventions may have great dreams. But there is a difference between an achievable dream and downright nuttiness.

It probably will bounce around marketcap, but so what? Again, I stated to look at volume, not its fake cap number.

People actually aren't even trolling in this thread, much to my surprise. Almost everyone thinks the coin looks way too fishy, relies on a gigantic premine, and the dev is using infommercial-speak on his website. The title of your thread is truth, scandal or scam. We offered our thoughts... just because we think negatively of the coin it doesn't make people a troll.
2479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Marinecoin. Sex Lies and Videotape. Truth, scandal or scam. Thoughts? on: April 21, 2014, 09:22:13 PM

Interested in supporting the coin further and finding out the other half of all your so far useless and speculative trolls.
Asked for any info.  Not just trolls.  But thats what this forum mostly is.  Trolls driving price on exchanges up and down. Haha cmon troll.harder kiddies.  Give me something that will actually change my mind about marinecoin, not just piss in my face.

There is natural suspicion when new people seem pro anything in this forum. And in many cases, it's justified. I do admit it's suspcious that anyone would be pro-marine coin, and it does look bad since the dev has been known to spam and use sock puppets before.

But even dismissing that ... and even dismissing the giant premine, and the fact people are supposed to trust the dev. Simply look at the website --

'Designed to be the crypto standard for the next thousand years.'
'Marinecoin City Project, The Ultimate City for the Ultimate People.'
'The Maritime Tower, datacenter & central trading floor. NewYork City'

It reads like a bad infommercial. Either the developer is a scammer or clearly delusional .. or both. And the way the premine is set up, it basically games the market cap to make it look bigger than it really is. The key number to look at is volume. 24 hr volume of $2100. You can pick coins that nobody has heard of, with tiny market caps, that easily double that.

Odd how people with less than 500 posts and with 'member' next to their name, not 'full member' are trying to apply or re-apply at higher levels. Just be happy with whatever you got.
