Just becaue you don't own as much stake as Max don't mean that your votes don't count.
We all bought into this DAO becaue we trust that Max will spend his time and money developing this coin for the rest of his life!
But it doesn't mean that you cannot attempt to buy more stake than him in order to gain more control. Every coin/community is a battle over control. Bitcoin and Ethereum have 5 people getting 80% of the mining rewards.
Right now Max has much control over Lisk but you are free to try to gain more.
And you are free to create more digital auto-organizations too.
I feel you don't have a grasp on what you're talking about. Lisk is not a DAO, it's a private organization registered to max and oliver. Regardless of how many coins you own even if you own 90%, max and oliver still own the company and can choose what do to next regardless of you opinion. a DAO would give all ownership and responsibility to the DAO participants instead of to the Lisk Organization. Yes everyone can make a DAO on top of Lisk, but only max and oliver can do a DAO on lisk. You'd have to start your own company on top of LISK and offer it off as a DAO which is not the same as a LISK DAO. |

I think Lisk is a lot higher profile project than Decred (as much as I do love DCR). So it won't need to wait 4 months. I could sell the account all I want, but if I can open a wallet once the chain is live and transfer out the lisk before you can, then you would be out of luck. Do not think that not having access to the ico website is a guarantee that the lisk will remain in the brain wallet created at the time of the ico. Just wanted to point that out for those that may not understand. ahh, i think i understand. so the risk is that i still have the original seeds even tho the buyer holds the ICO account? making it possible for seller to import keys and move lisk before buyer? if so well fuk. tho i think if i end up holding it will work out better anyways haha well it's more like the buyer is taking all the risk that the seller wont scam them first with this method. But yeah, it's better to wait one more week and actually just sell your lisk outside of the exchange through a trusted escrow but only AFTER Launch. |
