Legit? If so you changed my life.

Same here! No more sucking them out, then spitting them into a separate bowl. Accidentally swallowed one last time. This approach will make the task so much easier.

I thought I read something positive about instawallet recently. Does it look like you have a chance to get your money back?
2462  Other / Off-topic / Re: Linux desktop = fail (lubuntu) on: June 24, 2013, 04:00:42 PM
Lubuntu? I'm pretty surprised that you ended up with that through google. Weird stuff.

+1 for Mint. At first when I tried Unity I was like 'oh wow this is new'. Now it's annoying tbh.

The video mentions that it is a felony in California for a business to raise money without registering with the SEC. So are all Bitcoin stocks illegal in California? Huh

I had the same thought. Especially now since fincen considers bitcoin a 'virtual currency'.

Just curious how you'll decide when to cash out and transfer for him?

Bitcoin100 donated the money: https://blockchain.info/tx/bb4065bde85cee9a1da489f11d0633e64da96926ab55ff962c5ec130169b7c6d

Thanks Rassah and edd.
2467  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: STRONGCOIN, NOT RECOGNIZING VALID PRIVATE KEYS, SOMETHING WRONG on: June 23, 2013, 04:20:09 PM
You're still holding strongcoin? There's still an exchange rate? I thought I sold the last 1000 strong coins before the main exchange went down.

Strong coin seemed purpose built to make that dude money. I'm glad I got out.

Funny Tongue But the guy is currently out 75 btc. So probably not the best time to make jokes.

fyi, shill bidding is a felony in the United states, so there again, whether or not it was a real scam is subject to conjecture/opinion.

sources: My uncle runs an auction house in Little Rock, Arkansas.

It's also a felony to resist the government's violent thugs, and the US is fine with bombing innocent people, so I don't put much stock in the US's view on ethics.

what ever, not gonna argue with you. Just to still make it known, I have gotten no contact from garr or any money

And if my understanding of forum policy is correct. You can expect Garr to get a scammer tag if you do not receive your 5 bitcoins.

As I learned after Josh and Luke Jr. defrauded people who bet against BFL on betsofbitcoin: Actions qualifying as fraud do not necessarily and often do not qualify one for a 'scammer' tag here.

I guess I'm understanding that theymos' criteria for a 'scammer' tag is simply breach of an agreed upon explicit contract.

I think a big part of the problem here is the use of the word 'scammer'. That word holds many different connotations to different people. Clearly theymos wants this forum to operate independently of any established social norms. Which is interesting, but not too surprising considering his political views.

Theymos, you should perhaps consider changing the phrasing of the tag to something more specific. I'm pretty sure the vast majority of this drama relating to people arguing over things they think qualify for the tag could be avoided.

Goodness gracious there is alot of scandalous ass shit going on around here lately

Lately? If anything bitcoin has really improved over the years on the scandal front. This is pretty small potatoes.

2473  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Garr255/Werner - Auction shilling on: June 20, 2013, 05:26:27 PM

Nice catch, Josh! And from your chat logs its doesn't read to me that blackmail was was being used. Seemed like a fair exchange.

That's a really interesting point as well. Garr has been implying that he's Josh has been explicitly pressing him.

I even said earlier in the thread: "Garr is currently bound by Josh not to defend himself". There's no evidence of that at this point. So I'll have to apologize and retract that statement.

Very cool.
2475  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Garr255/Werner - Auction shilling on: June 20, 2013, 01:17:56 PM
Hmm...

There is an option c here.

This might not be as black and white as people suspect.

But good thread for popped corn.

You might want to mention it considering Garr is currently bound by Josh not to defend himself, or risk losing his BFL shipment.
2476  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which nation produces the sexiest women? on: June 20, 2013, 01:01:00 PM

Yeah. That's just Asia in general though. They've taken their perception of beauty and pushed it to the extreme. Korea just happens to be the worst offender at the moment. There are still lots of hot Korean girls though. I don't think they win overall though.
2477  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Garr255/Werner - Auction shilling on: June 20, 2013, 11:57:38 AM
Why would it be unethical to check Werner's post to see if it was edited? What am I missing here?
2478  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which nation produces the sexiest women? on: June 20, 2013, 11:54:09 AM
Colombia is a good one. Problem there is so many girls are trying to conform to that "narco-chiq" style which is pretty over the top.
2479  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which nation produces the sexiest women? on: June 20, 2013, 11:52:33 AM
I had this debate many times in the past 9 years here in Korea. With each and every occurrence, I am shown more evidence that every country has ugly and beautiful women and it really is a matter of personal taste, one that adapts over time and influence I might add.

TL;DR? How could you possibly think the above statements were too long to read. Idiot.

I'd say Sweden and Japan are easily at the top.

I remember thinking Japanese women were all pretty back when I only knew of AV idols. My opinion changed right after stepping off the plane to Japan.

You didn't have your faith renewed walking around in Shibuya or Harajuku though? Lots of good looking girls. And wouldn't you agree that most Korean girls all try to conform to a similar Korean ideal standard? You'll know better than me of course since you live there. I've just formed my opinion based on spending some time in Seoul(Myeong-dong mostly) and through Korean media.
2480  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Garr255 and Werner = scammer trolls on: June 20, 2013, 11:33:20 AM
He does not run CoinLenders, I do.

Well, dont pay idiots for their sig space. Thats exactly what you get for having ppl advertise your business in their sig space. Their post would affect your business image.

This is something I never understood about idiots paying other idiots for signature advertising space. It's unattractive spam that will make people hate your business, and whatever that person says now reflects on you.  Roll Eyes

He's probably had to kick people out of his program before. There is a risk that people might misunderstand and misassociate, as was the case here. I assume people can turn off sigs in the forum. And sig rules are pretty strict and low key compared to other forums.

I think CoinLenders and CoinChat are positive contributions to bitcoin. So I don't see any problem with promoting them.
