what would happen if before site goes "offline", we still have open session waiting for deposit and the bitcoin deposit got stuck in limbo because very low tx fee was used then we couldn't extend it when site goes "offline" for a few days can we recover it by proof of signature from sender address or something?
Contact support before your session expires: What happens if I open a "Session" and transfer BTC and then the site gets attacked and is not available for a couple of days?
BTC gone?
If you have a limited access to our service, please contact support. We can either extend your session (if your deposit is still pending) or issue a voucher you can use anytime you want.

@LoyceV, recent vanitygen defaults to compressed addresses, as early as 2013. Maybe people are downloading old versions or something. Are you sure about that? I'm using vanitygen, last updated 5 years ago. I know the much more recent vanitygen-plus supports compressed addresses, but I'm very conservative in what software I trust. How do i choose which inputs i send??
I can't tell you how blockchain.info works, in Bitcoin Core it's simply clicking "Inputs" after enabling coin control features (under Settings). I'm pretty sure Electrum can do this too.

The reason has nothing to do with it being a vanity address.
Transaction fees are based on the size of a transaction in byte. In general, vanity addresses are uncompressed, so the transaction is slightly larger than when you send from a compressed address (which is the standard nowadays). Of course, you can choose a smaller fee but the confirmation would take a longer time.
https://btc.com/stats/unconfirmed-tx currently says 60 sat/byte is enough for speed, but with 155 inputs you won't need speed. If it were me, I'd do it in small batches: take 10 inputs, say 2000 bytes, and send them to your own address. Pay no more than 0.2m BTC fee. In general, fees are lowest on Sundays, and with 2.25 BTC and 155 inputs I dont thinkyou're in a hurry. Do this 16 times, and you've paid a total of 0.003 BTC in fees. I "disagree" with wallets that by default set a high fee, that's just a race to get ever increasing fees. Great for miners, but the network is still congested. For what it's worth: I do this on a daily basis: whenever I make a transaction anyway, I choose which inputs to use ("coin control"), and make sure I don't end up with many small inputs for a long time. This way I don't have to pay a rediculous fee if I'm in a hurry to send my funds. My example with 10 sat/byte fee last Sunday. Yeah, it has had 155 transactions is for a total of 2.25 BTC
I really never knew that the total in the wallet would need to have fees deducted if moved.
Bitcoin isn't very intuitive when it comes to fees, but it's easier to understand when you look at it as buying a car with small coins.

I barely use it, but when I do, it works. Note that it only searches subsections of the forum: when I search "loycev" above this page, I get nothing, but when I search from https://bitcointalk.org/index.php, I get 5 pages with results. Alternative: search on Google with the site name: "loycev site:bitcointalk.org".

There is a confusion. I think we are being mistaken for ATS (Authorship token) we might have to change our ticker.
Clearly, it's the only "ATS" most people have heard of. It took me a while to find what ATS is supposed to stand for: AllenHark Terminal Professional Services (ATS). May I suggest AllTS (pronounced: all-T-S)? Whatever your token is worth, 0.2% of the bounty budget seems very low for a campaign manager.

Why would you need mining pools? Pools distribute their revenue in Bitcoin, that's much easier than sending dollars. One of the biggest issues is if the BITCOIN prices drops below my purchase price. On average, Bitcoin has only gone up over the years. All you need, is a relatively small stash of Bitcoins for instant ATM withdrawals, and enough balance to instantly buy them back at an exchange to fund your ATM again. Say someone buys 0.02 BTC from you for $160, you buy it back for $148, and you have $12 margin. I doubt people will be buying thousands of dollars at once, so you don't need to fund that much at once, and your exchange rate risk is limited. For a two-way transactions, you may need to check local AML and KYC regulations though, as an anonymous ATM would be a great asset for money laundering.

Rewards is 10,000 ATS tokens.
That's worth $47 at the moment, and ATS has many scam accusations against it. If you can come up with a payment in Bitcoin, have a look at my portfolio. I will only work on projects I believe in though, and if you want to pay in ATS, odds aren't in your favor.

thats why i was so surprised that this micro tx of one satoshi already got 30000 confirmations in a couple of month.
Once a transaction is confirmed, every new block found means it gets one more confirmation. On average, there's one block every 10 minutes, that means about 1000 confirmations per week. It has nothing to do with the size or fee you used when it got confirmed.

here's one of the 5 transactions showing on the wallet On Feb 14, 2014, this was worth $2.2 million. That seems very unlikely for GPU mining in 2013-2014. It seems to me like some unconfirmed transactions are still showing up in your wallet, but never reached you. my question are thus, though: Why are those transactions there? Why are they so inconceivably large? What happened to whatever my original balance was?
Ive not transferred out of that wallet that i can remember and all the transactions in the log show deposits into my wallet. Can these get corrupt and show weird data like this? Is it maybe a version thing?
From this, we can only guess. I've seen more threads from people with old wallet.dat files and unconfirmed incoming transactions, but without the private keys to go to anything holding funds. Can you export any private keys? (don't show them here of course!)

If you're going to edit fees manually, you can probably go down to 0.0002BTC for the transaction but I really wouldn't go any lower than that. 1 input with 10 outputs creates a 532 byte transaction. https://btc.com/stats/unconfirmed-tx currently shows it's possible to send with less than 20 sat/byte fee and get it confirmed, 0.0002 BTC would even be enough for a fast confirmation. But: $0.90 is 0.00012310 BTC. If the receiving party would want to use it, it's not worth the fee. Basically you're turning $10 into worthless Bitcoin dust. At 54 sat/byte, the entire $0.90 goes to fees. May I suggest using an altcoin with low fees for transactions like this?

Those things that really should be done on the forum are: 1. Banning of short posters. 2. Allowing to start a new topic only after reaching a rank of Member. 3. Removing non active accounts (like few months without any activity). 4. Too old threads deleting (BTW it is happening this days on the forum, so something good has finely done to make this forum more healthy).
You're wrong on all points: 1. If something can be said in 1 word, it should be said in 1 word. That's efficient. 2. I've seen several very intelligent posters create very good new threads. They should be able to do that without spamming the forum for months. 3. You want satoshi's account to be gone? 4. A forum serves as an archive. Guess you've never searched the forum to find the solution you were looking for?

But I am getting the following error (marked in RED), You can manually set the number of threads to use: -t <threads> Set number of worker threads (Default: number of CPUs) If you have 4 cores, use -t 4. Or -t 3 if your computer gets too slow.

2) Shitposters from various 3rd world countries.
I'd love to see an instant automated ban for anyone who posts "I'm agree" *. It's a very easy way to filter many (Indonesian) shitposters. the forum is degenerating and is worse than most mainstream news outlets and their comment sections All of this comes down to the very lucrative business of posting here. In a way I'm guilty too: my current signature is the most lucrative one I've ever had. But at least I try not to post crap. * Please exclude this post
