The prices of hardware wallets are quite high plus shipping from Amazon but if it will give me the security I need I don’t mind paying. Does anyone have experience with Trezor/nano wallet?
I wouldn't recommend buying hardware wallets from Amazon or any other third party unless you are certain you know how to verify its genuineness and that it hasn't been tampered with. You should buy it directly from the manufacturer or from one of their official resellers.

OP, afaik, trustwallet uses the bip39 standard, so even if it stops existing you can always import your wallet into any other wallet that supports this standard.

I just finished reading GamblingBro's Crashino review. As always, it was entertaining and informative at the same time. It covered almost everything any gambler would like to know about the casino before to make their mind whether to join or not.
To be honest the 3.4 rating is not bad at all knowing how strict GamblingBro are. They could have gotten a better rating and earn more points by being more transparent about the fees they charge on withdrawals and displaying the RTP on their slot games.
2484  Economy / Gambling / Re: LTC Casino (ltccasino.com) - most fair crypto casino with highest RTP on: March 25, 2022, 03:11:22 PM
...
I wish the casino would update me and whoever is following this case to show transparency.
I've been watching both the thread you created on the scam accusation board and your complaint on casino guru, so am well aware of all the updates and I know that Andrej from casino.guru reviewed your bet history and didn't find anything suspicious.

I am well aware of all of that and totally understand your frustration but, unfortunately, as I said above, there isn't much you can do but to wait. They can't keep stalling forever and if they do not respond within the next three-four days you can ask the game provider to disclose their findings (result of their investigation) publicly.

2. Don't connect your wallet with any website, you want to sell anything? Send tokens yourself to an cex exchanges.
With the fast advancement of web3 and with the increasing number of websites and apps using it, I don't think this will be an option in the next few years. Most likely, it will become impossible to use/interact with any service/dapp without connecting your wallet which will replace the traditional way for registration and signing in (username + password).
You can't just keep creating new and unique wallets for each service you use. It will be imperative for every user to learn how to spot phishing websites and scam attempts besides learning the proper ways to secure his wallets and protect his funds.
2486  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 4.2.0 not supporting Windows 7 on: March 24, 2022, 11:57:00 PM
1. I have an old cell phone i bought it on 2019. I installed electrum at that time and didn't update it since then (can't tell if the updates was done automatically) and then i left that cell phone since 2020. Last January i re-opened Electrum in that mobile , i found that i am not able to create a new seed (i have already three previous wallets). Anyone has an explanation?
What version are you using? You can find Electrum version  by clicking on the three horizental dots on the top right corner then clicking on About.
What error message do you get when you try to create a new wallet and are you able to load your old wallets?

2. An old laptop i use since 2019 as a cold storage. The device has windows 7 installed but never updated and an old version of electrum (can't remember the version). Should i upgrade Electrum if i want to keep using the same laptop without upgrading the OS version?
No, don't do that. The latest versions of Electrum 4.2.0 and 4.2.1 will not work on windows7
2487  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: March 24, 2022, 11:04:30 PM
However, I am not like that, I wager a lot and if I somehow win a lot, I would just keep on gambling small amount, if I won a lot that means I could gamble for years without depositing ever again. At worst, I would just withdraw to some other casino.
It's all about self control. Personally when I hit a big win or I have a big bankroll, the first thing I do is to increase the bet amount and start making bigger bets. Sure, I realize that it's not the right thing to do but I just can't resist the temptation.

But when you do lottery, even 1 ticket could win and it levels the playing field between the rich and the poor. That is how I see this, it is a great way to turn your money into profit and even if you lose, you do not have to change the way you gamble just to win something in the end.
The good thing about lottery is that you can win even if you have a single ticket and if am not wrong, I think this is the second time someone wins this promotion with only a few tickets.
2488  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Problem updating from 4.1.5 to 4.2.0 on: March 24, 2022, 09:32:36 PM
so i'm screwed then, and could lose access to my wallet ?
...
this is not good, how do i backup my wallet so i can access it form something else should 4.1.5 become unusable ?
No, you're not screwed. You can backup your wallet by creating one or more copies of your wallet file and/or writing down your wallet's seed (12 words) on a piece of paper and store it somewhere safe. You can then restore your wallet on any other device any time you want by importing the wallet file or the seed you backed up.

You can keep using version 4.1.5 till you decide to update your OS. I've been using version 4.0.2 for quite some time and didn't have any problems with it.
2489  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blockchain Casinos - Consumer's Choice! on: March 24, 2022, 08:28:58 PM
how about those who already voted others because their supported casino is not yet on the list, you should configure the poll where the voter can change his vote, so from others he can now vote for his favorite casino or better lock this thread learned who's who in the gambling and how to create a poll first.
Unfortunately and as far as I know there is no option to allow users to change their votes. It's not possible with polls on SMF forums. After submitting your vote, it becomes final.
Personally, I chose "other" because I didn't see my favorite casino on the first list and twelve other users (do far) did the same and our votes would've gone to one of the casinos on the supplementary list. OP shouldn't have edited the list.
2490  Economy / Gambling / Re: LTC Casino (ltccasino.com) - most fair crypto casino with highest RTP on: March 24, 2022, 06:35:02 PM
^^
casino.guru gave them 7 days to respond. They will have either to provide conclusive evidences that you cheated or admit that your winnings were legit and consequently reactivate your account and let you withdraw your money.
Only less than five days remaining so I suggest you just wait. I don't think there is anything else you can do for the moment anyway.

btw, I read the email the game provider (Wadzam) sent you. Although they confirm that they've finished reviewing your gameplay, they didn't say anything about its outcome.

edit: typo

I have a question, if I want to obtain an NFT, how much is the minimum amount to be able to access it?
Each deposit you make counts as one ticket and the minimum deposit amount is 10 USD. So  $10 is the minimum to participate in this contest but the more deposits you make (more tickets) the better your chances of winning the NFT.

Quote
It would be excellent if, with the deposit made for the first time, it is possible to have a right to always be able to have 1 monthly NFT, if so? or do I misunderstand?
The purpose of the contest and giving away a new NFT each month is to incentivize their cistomers to keep depositing. So, I don't think they will do something like that.
2492  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✅ Paradice.in | 🍀 St. Patrick's Special 1 BTC Wager Contest 🎲 on: March 23, 2022, 09:56:31 PM
I have seen that already, there are sites that have two boxes when we are about to register and one of the box are optional for offers but if someone mistaken it and received emails, he can always disable it in the account setting of the gambling site his playing or he can also mark it as spam in the email provider that he was using.
Not sure if paradice.in do this but most newsletters have an unsubscribe link in the footer of the email in case you don't want to receive any more emails from them.

Although I agree with the replies above that forcing users to subscribe to their newsletter when they register with their emails is annoying but at least they wete transparent and didn't try to hide it. Many other casinos do it without asking for your permission or even mention it in the sign up pages.

These are some good choice of casinos in here, they are well reputed by trusted members in here.
Actually, not all of them have good reputation here. I randomly picked one from the list and made a quick research about it on the forum and found out that they have many open scam accusations against them and their account got tagged by multiple trusted members.

Quote
Why do you want to learn the picks of the people in here?
Maybe they will add a new award based on bitcointalk users votes! But they should keep in mind that anonymous polls aren't reliable and can be manipulated easily especially when there aren't many voters.
2497  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question on: March 19, 2022, 10:46:07 PM
Yeah, that's possible that they can block those users if they want to. But with CZ's stand on this war, he's still neutral so I think that's a statement that people should be relying on that there won't be any blockage for users within those regions that's part of the war.
I wouldn't bet on that, honestly. It's just his opinion and doesn't represent binance. Binance as a company has to comply with laws and "follow international sanction rules" as per CZ's own words. Just read what he wrote on this post about Ukraine, Russia, Sanctions and Crypto.
Uers from sanctioned countries should move their funds to non custodial wallets, just to be safe and avoid any bad surprises.
2498  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: - Blockchain.com - Reward account blocked and crypto staking gone on: March 19, 2022, 09:25:35 PM
Well, since it looks like you have the 12 words, you'll at least be able to withdraw the non-staking funds in your wallet, right? It's not like they can stop you from typing the backup phrase into another wallet and send it somewhere else.
I don't think this will work. It seems all his coins are on his reward account which is a custodial service and the 12 words seed was used as identification to access his main account and from there he can access the reward account (pls correct me if am wrong).

What's funny is that it took them more than three days to figure out that he accessed his account from different locations and then five more days to realize that his account was compromized. And they are not ashamed to say that their team is working hard to solve the problem! Sorry OP and hope your issue will be solved soon.
2499  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vulnerabilities in gambling websites in past on: March 19, 2022, 08:02:08 PM
I could never run an automated gambling platform for this reason alone.  Imagine having a hot wallet out there with hundreds of thousands of dollars or potentially even millions per day moving through it without any human verification.  I couldn't do it.  I see all of these threads from people wanting to hire others to build them gambling platforms and I just can't even imagine the risks involved with that approach.
But this risk is present in almost all online crypto businesses and not only casinos. Exchanges, for example, also process transactions worth millions of dollars each day automatically. Their systems probably process more transactions than casinos do.
The way to mitigate this risk is by limiting the amount you keep on hot wallets to the minimum and move the rest to your cold wallets and process only small transactions automatically. Large transactions should be processed manually.

NFT Giveaway
Please correct me if am wrong but the item activity on OpenSea shows that the last time it was sold it was sold for 0.04 eth wich is around $120. Is this really how much this NFT is worth or am missing something?

Also, I think it will be more fair if the number of tickets will be determined based on the total amount deposited during the month not how many deposits were made (minimum deposit amount = 1 ticket).
