2481  Economy / Speculation / Re: We are about to hit 8K and below...soon (see charts) on: September 05, 2019, 06:38:51 PM
Be very cautious people. We will see 8K within the next few weeks. Not by sept 5th. But soon.
Sentiment feels negative. This thing is breaking down soon...on its way back to 20K.

No way we are breaking positive from this descending triangle IMO.

Why we cant break positively out of this triangle?  Any reasons?  At end of triangle in November we could simply make a leg up.  And until then price should stay between $9500 and $11000.   Seems totally possible to me.

Vitalik Buterin is ‘Very Confident’ About Ethereum 2.0 Launching Phase

He was 50-80% sure Ethereum v2 will happen in 2017.    So how sure in % is "very confident" ?
2483  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Firefox 69 Now Blocks 3rd-Party Tracking Cookies and Cryptominers By Default on: September 05, 2019, 03:48:32 PM
But I think cryptominers isn't such big and dangerous thing anymore, especially when Coinhive stopped working. Also, many antivirus blocking CPU miner java scripts by default.

It is true that after Coinhive is stop working, browser mining is almost completely gone, personally I have not received any warning for months from my antivirus about that. So in a way Firefox is a bit late with that feature, but we never know if / when some similar threat may appear.

Regarding what browser is better, as a user who use Firefox for years I must say that Chrome is somewhat better in performance (faster) on my PC then Firefox, but I know that privacy protection is much better with Firefox.

Maybe it's a little weird that people use Chrome more, but it is because they use Gmail and YouTube also, and if we're being honest they don't care too much for privacy. If you use Windows 10 forget about privacy, you share a lot of data with Microsoft also.

You cant make updates so fast. Everything takes some time to do it right with as least bugs as possible.  If you want to mine in Firefox browser you still can turn that on.
2484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The best Dex Exchange on: September 05, 2019, 03:21:30 PM
The best Dex Exchange

Is https://bisq.network/

BisQ went by far furthest to build as decentralized exchange as possible. Of course their exchange is still getting developed and built,  but eventually they will get there.
2485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will happen to alts if Bitcoin crashes back to $5000? on: September 05, 2019, 01:03:57 PM
I don't think many alts would recover against Bitcoin if this happens and so they will crash even more. Some solid alts with good liquidity like Litecoin may recover but most won't recover in my opinion. Thoughts? Undecided

There would be for sure some good buying opportunities. But they would be only for a short period of time. Each coin have its own bottom not related to any other coin.
2486  Economy / Economics / Re: Global economic and trade crisis on: September 05, 2019, 11:56:11 AM
I very much doubt that the Americans are for the most part unhappy with Trump.  It is his activity that satisfies the majority of his citizens and one of the indicators of the success of his leadership is the growth of economic indicators in the United States of America.

Yup canceling trip to Poland to focus on Hurricane and then playing golf is amazing activity Smiley    People know politicians are clowns without any real power. They dance as corporations dictated them. So why not elect real clowns for it. Slovenia and Ukraine prime ministers are comedians. USA president is natural born clown. Other countries will just follow.   It does not really matter what they can do or actually do, since they only do what they are allowed to do.
2487  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 05, 2019, 11:04:34 AM
It would be a nice irony if the outcome of Brexit was a break up of Great Britain with Scotland achieving independence and Northern Ireland joining Ireland while England and Wales stay in the EU.

But when you play with matches, sometimes shit catches on fire, yo.

Sounds Just like the bitcoin forks fractal delusions

Fuck the EU dictatorship.

You wanted to say UK dictatorship over Northern Ireland and Scotland?

Brexit was orchestrated from outside of UK. With plan to weaken EU and UK. Divide and conquer. By those that EU is competitor, so mainly United States ( amazing ally we have) and China. Possibly someone else like Russia or Saudis. Those that planed it give a shit about UK and if will still have Wales, Northern Ireland or Scotland. Not having it should actually better fit their agenda. They exactly knew what will happen. They knew all united Europe will stand behind Ireland and there will be no border on the island of Ireland ever again.

2015 fractal that everyone loves to hate

Not everyone Smiley
If this  amplification still hold we can expect 25K by end of October. Less than 60 days.
Crossing fingers.

LOL   Yes, but what October.   Definitely not the one 60 days from now. This chart is totally clear there.

Difference between 2015 and 2019 is that back then we had sideways and the up now we had up and then sideways. Different play but same result.

Why not? In fact new ATH in November-December is very feasible. Actually now it's up, sideways and MORE UP.  Cool

Everything is possible. But considering this chart, that transplant last bitcoin cycle to current one is not showing.

Oh and I just read in local newspaper of President of association of banks explaining how are negative interest rates normal and telling that IMF is thinking of banning cash so people will really spend those money and not just take it out of banks and store it at home.  I dont get how stupid they think we are. But on other hand if we are stupid enough to totally gave up our privacy we are ready o give up cash also.

Or maybe volume was not low enough.  Monero dominance still hanging at 0.48%. Plenty space for growth left.

And, what we had been waiting for 4 years finally happened few hours ago. Monero yearly emission inflation went under Bitcoins.

Bitcoin 3.668%
Monero 3.666%
2492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Attitude that can shape the altcoin sector positively on: September 02, 2019, 05:28:44 PM
The altcoin sector is by far the biggest in terms of numbers of coin in the cryptocurrency market. Ethereum is the most valuable altcoin but it's like the glory day of ethereum is in the past now. Investors are by passing the opportunity to invest in altcoin in preference to the number one coin bitcoin.

Why is there a sharp decline in the altcoin sector? This question keeps coming up in the head of cryptocurrency followers, like two years ago altcoin was a very promising sector which everyone expected more form but fast forward two years on the case seems to be negative.
my answer to the question is attitude yes our attitude can impact either negative way or the opposite.

What are this attitude we have exhibited that has negatively impacted on altcoin.
1. Selfishness. Most investors are selfish they only care about what they can make but don't give a damn what happens to the coin it self, bounty hunters to have a role to play to they are snappy to dispose of the coin and this sure will decline the price
2. Poor publicity on the part of the developers. Altcoin can very much get into the cryptocurrency market with out being known developers should focus more time into spreading awareness about there project.
3. Poor road map. Developers should not create an unrealistic road map that they know can't be achieved cut your coat according to your size. Be truthful and real to the project.

There is not altcoins. There are coins that some have something in common. That is all. Term altcoin is made from point of view to diverse other coins from Bitcoin. That is all. Those coins are very different. Many coins are way more similar to Bitcoin that most of other coins.
2493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How crypto exchanges secure our funds? on: September 02, 2019, 05:09:54 PM
I want to use one exchange and I want to be sure they protect my data and money. All my exchange say about protection is "Changelly is one of the most prominent instant cryptocurrency exchanges that has gained the trust of more than 2M users from all over the world. The service provides safe and fast transactions without revealing users identities. We provide the best possible rates by comparing a wide range of reliable trading platforms and work with a list of 140+ cryptocurrencies that is constantly increasing."

Can you explain that to me? What does it mean?

And how exchanges actually protect our funds?

Changely like shapeshift or xmr.to or few other exchanges does only instant exchange. So you dont hold your coins with them for long. That severely reduces your risk.   Even better option are decentralized exchanges like BisQ. They never hold any of your coins.
2494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: September 02, 2019, 03:46:32 PM
Interesting price action. News?

No news, we just reached bottom with low volume in the last days. Wonder what could that meant.
2495  Economy / Speculation / Re: After the last recession, bitcoin went up 999999900% what will happen next? on: September 02, 2019, 03:11:29 PM
The title is kinda clickbait, but when bitcoin was first invented, it was done right after the 2008 recession, so from the last recession bitcoin went up approx 999999900% (0.001$ to 10,000$)  Grin
So what will happen if we get into another recession? Global yeild curves are inverting and stuff so it looks like we might be having a recession soon

Bitcoin had never saw a recession. First two years until 2011 Bitcoin financially did not even exist. Even today Bitcoin have little impact. Bitcoin slouch start having serious impact soon after next recession evolves in 2023.

2497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [ZEC] Zcash Speculation on: September 01, 2019, 06:33:06 PM
ZCash just got region banned on Coinbase for United Kingdom users.  Does taking 20% of coins for  Electric Coin Company makes ZCash a security under United Kingdom regulations?

Coinbase UK delisted zcash when it changed banking partners. Many people have speculated that it might be because zcash is an anonymous coin.

However, is zcash an anonymous coin hehehe?

Delisting with that reason have no sense.

2498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 100 Times on: September 01, 2019, 03:34:38 PM
Do you search for and look thru new cryptocurrencies of the day every day?  The prices of newly launched currencies should have no choices other than rise to multiple times high. These currencies may not have long-term pontential. Invest 10k in such a currencies, dump them and make big money in short term.

There were altcoins which skyrocketted to 100 times higher in just days.

Very old altcoins may take very long time to achieve multiples. Even like eth, ltc. They wont go to 100 more expensive anymore. But very new cuŕrencies can.

I think top ten old altcoins have achieve saturation.

Is this your investment strategy?

Any coin that can increase price in short therm for x100 can also decrease in value x100 in short term.  Coins that have lower emission should not change price that much. Gold have 1.5% yearly mining emission and its price is quite stable over long period of time. Bitcoin is now at 3.7% so as Monero.
2499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: US Airforce is using blockchain on: September 01, 2019, 03:10:47 PM
The secure nature of data transfer through blockchain makes blockchain a prime factor for the next generation security and anonymity and the US airforce doesn't want to lag behind any other forces. They seemed to have made contracts with two popular blockchain firms to develop a blockchain primarily for communication among units and stations.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/us-air-force-steps-up-blockchain-use-what-else-is-the-pentagon-up-to

Armies and governments will for sure use opaque ledger cryptocurrencies. They cant afford that just anyone can snoop on their transactions.
2500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: crypto and gold on: September 01, 2019, 02:04:00 PM
I agree with the previous speaker. But in many ways, the answer for the OP depends on how you look at this question.
Long term
Gold is likely to save money.
Cryptocurrency is a risky investment.
Med term
Gold is a low risk investment
Cryptocurrency is an investment with high potential.

In next few years Gold is designated to be good investment. I have no ideas what 2-5 years is for you long or medium.  But no mater how good, Bitcoin or Monero can do way way way better. But on the other hand they can also fail big, while gold cant at all.
