2481  Economy / Economics / Re: Some Company are holding more than 10000 Bitcoin on: December 24, 2020, 08:01:17 AM
Good thing, isn't it? Though most of them are companies that are associated with blockchain and crypto currencies, I do see some that are regular companies. I assume MicroStrategy is one of them right? And shouldn't paypal be in the list too since it is "paypal" that is holding the coins not their users.
At least those companies know that holding bitcoin is going to be a huge benefit for them and knows the future is going to give them huge profits.
2482  Economy / Economics / Re: IF USDT would collapse what do you think will happen to the BTC price? on: December 24, 2020, 07:55:22 AM
Not sure what is going to happen, but I guess there will be a huge volatility at first due to people panicking. And then there will be more stability than before. I mean shouldn't bitcoin be more stable then? Since no one will be able to sell their coins instantly and will be bound to keep on holding it? They hear a bad news, they won't be able to panic sell their coins to tether. No more safe haven for them.
2483  Economy / Gambling / Re: Online Poker, Pandemic, Crypto adoption on: December 24, 2020, 07:30:54 AM
Looks like you are interested in creating a casino where people can play poker. You won't be able to know what people wants unless you make one. Sure, taking suggestion from here might help, but opinions of few people won't speak for the majority.
Start a poker site. Create a userbase and add different rewards and incentives. See which one most of the people likes and keep that one. Trying different reward system won't hurt you.
Is there any interest in:

a) poker staking? short-/longterm, cashgames/tournaments
b) rakeback deals -casinos
c) cashback deals -ewallets
d) poker coaching?

Thank you!
I would guess people would prefer rake back deals more than cashback. I doubt anyone would want a "poker coach".
2484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should you take loan(s) to invest in crypto? on: December 23, 2020, 07:50:22 PM
If you are a regular Twitter user and happen to follow a bunch of influencers or investors, there are high chances that you will have gone through some of the tweets claiming someone has borrowed a loan from bank to just invest into crypto. If not yet, check it here. Well, this is one really  interesting topic so I though why not discuss here.

What do you think of taking loan(s) to invest in crypto? What's your input? Have any of you done this already? Isn't this crazy?
Borrow money from friends and family? No, you shouldn't, unless you have some sort of collateral that you can give them in case you failed to make profit and lose your funds. You do know that crypto currencies are extremely volatile, right? Why risk other peoples money and put yourself in a situation which might end up being bitter?
Like everyone said, invest if you can afford to lose. If you can't then don't even bother. Maybe save up something in the future and use it to invest in crypto currencies.
2485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to XRP market now that SEC is suing Ripple? on: December 23, 2020, 06:39:34 PM
We all know what is going to happen. In fact it is already happening. The price is already tanking down like crazy. Not sure what's going on, but it looks like there is going to be a huge legal battle before everything settles. And you know how people reacts to such negative news - "Dump every XRP they are holding".
Another reason why centralized coins are so fragile and shouldn't be bought as investment.
2486  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Money laundering via BTC on: December 23, 2020, 08:30:12 AM
It is more complicated than you think. Sure you can launder as much as you want by converting to bitcoin, but once you convert it to bitcoin, it is going to be way hard for you to convert back to fiat. Even getting huge some of BTC is going to be a challenge for you since you will have to p2p trades and no one would want to sell huge amount of coins in one go and that in cash money!
So when you convert it to fiat again, you will raise flags. As far as I know, if you make deposit above certain amount, the banks will raise a flag and inform the IRS as per law. So you might already be under surveillance. Don't even think about making smurf deposits.
2487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A little word of advice is enough for the wise on: December 23, 2020, 08:19:12 AM
That should not be a big problem and i have been doing KYC for some trusted exchange sites and I'm not facing any problem with these exchange sites.
people are having a different opinion about KYC but so far I never got a difficult thing with the verification process.

It's good to hold your coin in your wallet but how can you trade it then?

You aren't facing any problems because you have already went through the KYC process. Those who are concerned about their privacy are the ones facing problems. And just because you haven't faced any problem doesn't mean that you won't face any in the future. Moreover, OP is talking about private keys. The exchange that you use probably doesn't provide you with your private keys. This means, if the exchange goes down, so does your coins!

Move them when you want to trade but don't hold in an exchange.
2488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shall I HODL DOGE? on: December 22, 2020, 08:26:51 PM
I wouldn't hold doge coin if I were you. There are waaay better altcoins out there that has potential. Doge coin was just made as a joke and has no real use case. As far as I know, there isn't active development (and doge coin doesn't need any) and if there is, its just the core/qt client getting updates. The value of doge coin mainly depends on the pump and dump trends, so its quite risky holding it.
Try splitting your investment in other altcoins too.
2489  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BETCOIN.AG SCAM, closed my account, and stole all my money, without explanations on: December 22, 2020, 08:19:24 PM
hello, i am looking for help here,i loose any hope...Betcoin.ag just closed my account, and stole all money there, i had there 0.09btc, i was playing there around 2 month, and then suddenly they just closed my account, saying you broke our rules, i emailed them many times, asked for explanation, and they never told me reason,i dont know what to do,maybe here some one can help me?
You are reporting them in the wrong board. Make a thread over here. Make sure you read "Scam Report Format" thread that has been pinned on the scam accusation board over there. Provide adequate proof and explaination.
If you broke their terms of service, then they have the right to close your account and confiscate your funds (if that's what written in their terms and you agreed to it). Though they should give you an explanation and most of the casino returns the deposit made minus all the profit/loss.
2490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I am not investing in Bitcoin, I am staying with Altcoins on: December 22, 2020, 08:14:19 PM
I am not investing in Bitcoin, I am staying with Altcoins

Why I am choosing altcoins is because bitcoin is now too much volatile and there is too much hype regarding Bitcoin, Altcoins will be recovered soon and will be hitting to new highs, but in case of Bitcoin, We are not sure that when this bubble explodes. Since we are not sure, investment in altcoin is only the safest option.
Staying with altcoins? Good for you. But why do you have to make an announcement? Lets be honest over here, no one cares. Oh, and you probably forgot to mention those shit altcoins that you are about to shill for in this thread. And:
1. Bitcoin is too much volatile and altcoins aren't? wut?  Cry
2. Altcoin reaching all time high? Which altcoin? You do know that altcoin follows bitcoin? Or did you fall head first and you now mixed up altcoins with bitcoin?
2491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you were me , Do you buy this coin ?? on: December 22, 2020, 08:14:05 AM

Hi , As my hobby im searching on new projects , So this time i found a Low risk project among 15 new projects . They have a Ann thread on bitcointalk --> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5286191.msg55504061#msg55504061

Im telling as "Low Risk"  because they have provides every thing clearly with the videos  , And they have NO ICO . What do you think ? shall we comment on that thread if you have any doubt on this project , then it will be helpful for others as well.
You are assuming that they are low risk "because they have every thing clearly with videos"? That is the worst way to evaluate a project. People can be "all talk, no action". We have seen so many projects that have made "organized" plans to attract users to their platform and buy their tokens. Once they manage to make a hype, the price of their coins/tokens increase and then they dump their tokens, make profit and stop working in those projects and starts a new one!
None of those projects are safe to invest. None of them are of low risk. Invest only if you can afford to lose.
2492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Need some help to Understand Bounty campaign on: December 22, 2020, 07:55:03 AM
They are not safe. Around 99% of those bounty program are just a scam. Even those that pay you. They make those shit projects that they know will fail. You promote those shit projects for them and once they get enough people buying their scam tokens, the developers dump those tokens and takes their profit. The tokens that pay you will eventually have zero value. So yeah, even if they paid you, they actually scammed you by making you promote a scam and waste your time.
Don't waste your time in those bounty campaign. You would be earning more by doing other productive tasks.
2493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: prediction betting platform pros and cons? on: December 22, 2020, 07:47:40 AM
-snip-
Cons
1. If betting platform is custodial meaning they had hold of your funds.
2. If betting platform has huge service fee.
3. If the prediction would not be good and does not interest the users.
-snip-
1. I don't see any other option for this to work. Or else people would just not pay the losing bets, so they have to hold it. Trust matters over here.
2. They need to make profit somehow. The fees aren't like extremely high as far as I know.
3. You mean interesting predictions? I though they had multiple predictions running simultaneously.

You can also add one of your pros to the cons. Since the payout depends on the total number of users, if there are less users predicting, there is a chance you will be winning less amount of coins.
2494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sharing Casino 100% Winning Strategy With Profit 10% Per Hour [Limited Time] on: December 19, 2020, 04:00:02 PM
Lmao, what!? If it is 100% winning strategy, then why are you asking for peoples profit? 2495  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Need ideas for my Bitcoin Blog on: December 19, 2020, 03:46:27 PM
I have decided I want to make a Bitcoin blog but I need ideas. The site is already live but I want ideas, the blog will mainly contain price analysis, news, tutorials and reviews. I want to talk about how Bitcoin works and it’s advantages. If you have any idea let me know!

(edit) Here is the URL for my blog: https://bitcoinrepublic.blogspot.com/p/home.html
You can start posting about the current crypto currency events from "your point of view". There are already tons of news portals that updates users with current events. Probably giving your outlook on those current events might attract different base of users that actually likes to read through other peoples perspective.
And yeah, you can add tutorials and unbiased reviews. Maybe do comparisons between different exchanges, casino and other services which will help users pick a service based on their needs.
2496  Economy / Speculation / Re: I bought BTC at 23.5K$ on: December 19, 2020, 03:30:08 PM
So you are the victim [not exactly a victim] of FOMO? Just because you saw the price start to increase, you went all in, which is a very newbie move. If you aren't confident about your investment, just sell it now since you won't be making a huge loss. If you are losing sleep over your bitcoin investment, why suffer? Just let it go.
-snip-
What is the prediction of price for now with reason?!
Just google it. You will see some say its going to go over 50k, some says its going over 400k and then others are saying the bull run is going to end soon and the price is going to drop. To conclude, no one actually knows where its heading.
2497  Economy / Economics / Re: Why bank need cheap loan as low as 0% to make profit?? on: December 19, 2020, 07:50:11 AM
What I noticed in my country is that banks don't pay interest anymore on deposit, on top of that they increased banking fees by 100 % on top over the last 12 months and still they need to charge such high interest rates on loans. For me as an saver that means the bank is not really interested in my deposit anymore. It would be actually cheaper for me to withdraw and keep the money at home. But no one is going to do that, that is why banks can charge those fees.
Banks are charging fees in your country and not giving any interest in deposits because they want/are encouraging their people to not save money in bank and start investing those money in the economy. This in turn gives the economy a boost. These are the monetary policies that are applied by the government if they sees that the future of the economy is going be bad. Helps avoid recession.
2498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your opinion is highly needed! on: December 19, 2020, 07:43:39 AM
If he wants to buy a house, let him buy a house. If he gets to buy a house after making a $50,000 down payment, tell him to do it. There is no need to invest those money in crypto currencies. You never know what is going to happen to the price in the future since the crypto market is very volatile. Your $50k might end up being $25k. On other hand, if you wait for years before investing it in a house chances are you won't be able to afford the house anymore since the prices usually go up my 15%-20% after like 5 years. So, if he wants a house, tell him to get the house instead of trying his luck investing in crypto.
2499  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin advertising by celebrities. on: December 18, 2020, 08:04:21 PM
Some of them are supporting crypto currencies while most of them are just getting paid to promote some crypto currencies. Some of them do it just to get attention. You know, they love getting attention once they become irrelevant. Almost like 90% of the coins that celebrities promoted are dead. If I remember correctly, Floyd and DJ Khaled supported one of the token which later ended up with several arrests due to be linked with fraud and money laundering. Both had to pay some fine for misleading the public!
2500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: good news for bitcoin at the moment on: December 18, 2020, 07:48:52 PM
Why does it look like you are shilling for XPT lol. Never heard of that coin and it would be weird if Pizza Hut starts accepting a currency that no one has ever heard or isn't well established. But yeah, if its true (would have been better if you provided some sort of link to back your claim), then it is a good thing. At least people when the walk in will get to know about bitcoin out of curiosity. But I wonder what is going to happen during network overload? Are they doing to wait for hours for confirmation before they receive the pizza or meal?
