2481  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you tell your friends about your crypto achievements? on: April 02, 2022, 09:54:57 PM
Do you tell your friends about your crypto earnings and trading strategy?

Sometimes it's hard to keep it to myself, but at the same time, I don't want to share my trading lifehacks.
Do you share with your friends?  Tongue
I always share to my friends about crypto but i think when it comes to my personal earnings, it should always be in private. They may think that i'm boastful or arrogant the moment i share what i have been earning these past few years, so as much as possible i want to avoid it. Its better to stay being a low key person. And i don't want other people to judge me based on my earnings like i should live this way or not. As long as i keep my wealth to myself, i will always have the freedom to live the lifestyle i want.
2482  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't be too greed for more gains.... on: April 02, 2022, 09:38:18 PM
my advice to newbies in crypto here is always take profit don't regret if it goes up, don't be too greed. stay connected here in forum for advices.
Greediness is somewhat hard to control especially if you are living it. Of course, you can easily just think we can but the moment has come, when the price spikes, we just even think there is more. We commonly just say "don't be greedy" but in most cases, "we then just fail to follow".
Don't be greedy? unless if we don't need money.

As being an investor, we certainly live with this, we want more and that is why we risk more. For me, it wasn't bad for as long as you know how to manage it.
Greed is part of a human behavior and so its always inevitable and hard to control. And they say learn to be greedy when others are fearful. However, in crypto investments, greed is something that most of the time it does not help at all. Because of greed, we mostly end up losing the profits we expect to receive. Although investors are born with greed, but its better if we can learn to control it. And by selling every time we see good opportunities to make profits, and manage the risk, we can somehow control our greed. Though greed is not bad at all, but once not properly managed, it will result into huge losses.
2483  Other / Meta / Re: Is the IQ test really necessary? on: April 01, 2022, 11:59:10 PM
I do not have an issue with the IQ test. This will remove a lot of active bots from the forum and also it will improve the level of posting. There are many who create unnecessary topics and post irrelevant answers that only increase the spam level. IQ test will stop those activities. I would say it is a great initiative by Theymos on 1st April.
I think this will make the bitcointalk forum more informative and interesting. Not only you will be good in creating quality post, but those trivia questions will make you even smarter every time your answer is correct.

Spamming in the forum has become more rampant and this initiative made by Theymos is a good step to prevent the members from posting unnecessary posts, and posts that are only low valued and unconstructive.
2484  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: April Fool bitcoin news around the world on: April 01, 2022, 11:40:40 PM
So far I haven't seen any. But most of the news that we've been seeing lately were kind of part of April fool's even if they're not. Well, there's no need to worry with those because many of the investors today are wiser than the past years.
Everybody knows that today is April fool's and many of us have the idea to verify it first before believing.
Fake news are all over the market regardless if its April fool's or not. So there's nothing really new about it. But good thing is, most of the new investors nowadays are smarter than before, and they always find time to DYOR before taking such investments. Being knowledgeable in all aspects of investments will prevent us from being fooled, and we tend to lessen the risk of losing. However, if greed is still there, then we will always keep losing no matter how knowledgeable we are.
2485  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to understand or know the whale's next move? on: April 01, 2022, 09:58:34 PM
Hi everyone,
I'm wondering if there is any forum, website, subreddit or a threading discussion in this forum about what the whales are going to do or if there is a channel where they talk/share their next moves.

I've read that some users here read about this kind of topic but they didn't share any post or link to the source.

Thank you for your time.
If there are any, but those are only speculations and people should never believe them. Big whales find their success in crypto and create huge profits by secretly moving and taking advantage of the market. And since they are holding large amount of bitcoins, they always manipulate the prices in the market that made the weak hands panic and sell what they have and big whales will find their way to buy those coins. No one can tell precisely what the whales next moves, and that they only start to move when everyone is losing in the crypto market.
2486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Women and Cryptocurrency on: April 01, 2022, 09:46:54 PM
I don't think there is a significant relationship between Bitcoin and gender, anyone can invest. We know that until now, bitcoin is attracting a bit more computer-savvy people, so it was normal for men to show more interest in the past years. At the moment, everyone is showing interest, it has become popular enough. It is normal for women to increase their interest.
In fact, women may even be more successful at investing than men. They can choose safer investments Cheesy
Bitcoin is for everyone so any person who thinks he's tech savvy and gets interest to invest in bitcoin, then he's free to do so. Even women are now starting to take some risks and invest in bitcoin because its certainly a safe haven for most of the investors. Gone are those days where men only take the risk and invest in cryptocurrency. Although, this crypto market is still dominated by men, but its also inevitable that women are also starting to get involve theirselves in one of the most profitable investments in the financial market.
2487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Smith Inu? on: April 01, 2022, 09:29:00 PM
Lol, without even doing much digging you can already tell this is a quick money grab project, Will Smith Inu, Really!   Shocked
I can't believe someone will be stupid enough to buy this and expect something good from it. The way I see this, it will end up like Squid Coin that scam investors of millions. People should be wise enough to stay away from projects like this one.

And yeah, perhaps someone will create one for Chris since both of them seem to be trending this few days.
You are right mate. Will Smith Inu is another kind of shitcoin that will probably last for a week or a month and then its price will start taking low progress and eventually lost its value in the market. No one's gonna create long term profitability out from meme coins because the past coins have proved it already. So better stay away from new emerging coins particularly those meme coins as they are good only for entertaining us, certainly not for long term investments.
2488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Your Kids Aware Of Bitcoin? Teach Them. on: March 31, 2022, 11:56:42 PM
I will definitely teach my kids the basics of cryptocurrency, blockchain technology but I won't force them to follow my path but just let them decide for themselves when they are old enough and aware of everything. Entering the market is a good thing as most parents want their children to take over their business, but apart from crypto there are many jobs that can earn more so they relax and should respect their decision.

Neither did our parents force us to follow their path, so we should not force our children to follow our will.
Children are not that hard to teach as long as they have the interest on it. But since bitcoin does not exist physically, so i will just start teaching them saving money like putting coins in a piggy bank, or better yet exposing them in a bitcoin wallet which will serve as their piggy bank. That way, they will keep on saving coins in their wallet which they can closely relate once they are mature enough to understand about the concept of bitcoin. Having them aware at an early age will be their best asset once they start taking real investments in bitcoin in the future.
2489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you spend crypto? If yes, for what? on: March 31, 2022, 09:53:12 PM
I made small purchases with cryptocurrencies, but none of them were physical products. It can be useful for purchasing services, but we don't have much use in the real world yet, we can only buy things in a few countries or in a few stores.
I have not made such a shopping choice yet, not had such an opportunity Smiley
Right now, i'm still in the process of gaining more bitcoin and crypto to fill in my wallet so i don't see good reasons to spend them. But i know one of these days, i will have to enjoy and spend some of them shopping to reward myself.

Crypto is a very profitable investment that i prefer to keep it than to spend it. But if ever emergency cases arise, and i have no fiat on my pocket, then there's no valid reason not to spend crypto but i'll always leave some of it for future profits.
2490  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A few key points distinguishing traders from gamblers on: March 30, 2022, 09:55:49 PM
When one is into trading his mind needs to focus on long term profiting than quick earning. Trader with the gambling mentality can't make profit out of trades. It is well said, a gambler easily gets emotional after loss, which doesn't suits with trading. The traders try to make something out of the market moves, whereas gamblers look for luck than following strategies.

I find both form of traders to be successful, but the percentage differs. The success rate of a trader against a gamble mentality trader will be like 85:15
Traders are more on long term profiting so they should need more knowledge and skills to sustain their trades and end up being successful. This is why they have to focus more on analyzing the market patterns because that will be their bases when to trade as long as they see the market is stable. However, gamblers always aim for quick profits and so they tend to lose their capital too quickly compared to traders. They may have prior knowledge and skills in gambling but they mostly depend on luck whenever they start betting.
2491  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Long Term Holders - When Do You Plan To Cash Out? on: March 30, 2022, 09:16:08 PM
One of the things I regret the most was not holding the Bitcoin I had acquired a few years ago, I didn't really need those funds but had cashed out a large chunk of them. Luckily, some of which was saved till now and was invested in DeFi projects and managed to earn a decent sum of money.

After this experience, I'm trying to save as much Bitcoin as possible. I'm not sure when I'll withdraw again, certainly not before surpassing the last all-time high. Currently, I'm not need of funds, thus, I'll keep on holding.
Buying and holding bitcoin has always been our dream. But if we had already a large amount of bitcoin in our wallet, does it make sense if we keep  it hodling forever? I guess not. The value of bitcoin will always grow for sure but we are not going to experience profits if we never sell some of them. Buying and selling bitcoin has always been a good strategy to see consistency in making profits, but of course we will only sell if the value is very high and if we are in need of funds.
2492  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Breakout on: March 28, 2022, 09:57:50 PM
Nonetheless, this breakout is a signal that the downtrend is over, meaning that now the bulls can buy with more confidence.
I'm not 100% sure that the downtrend is over, no one can be sure about that, but what is impressive is that bitcoin is above $45k in this current climate. People complain about the price, they except $100k asap, blah blah blah, for me seeing bitcoin at this value despite the inflation and a war it's just crazy. Crazy good of course.
The price may suddenly goes up or down, that is how volatility works. So i don't believe that this downtrend will be over even if bitcoin price reaches its $50k level. Of course, it opens a great opportunity that bitcoin might be heading its way to bull season, but it does not guarantee that it won't fall again. But i'm glad that the current value is now starting to be impressive and it could go even higher if there are positive events in the market that will happen soon.
2493  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Understanding "When" to trade. on: March 28, 2022, 09:40:02 PM
Because a person's trading preferences certainly have different angles and readings of conditions. As for me, there is no exact time benchmark and can really determine when and what days to avoid. Because for most other traders, while their analysis says that prices are open to entry in a short time span, then they definitely will. The market runs 24 hours non-stop, but it's only about volume at any given time that makes the difference. It is also always adjusted to the condition of the news that is obtained.
They say the best time to trade is when the market is stable and has no negative news currently happening. I think this is very true as we need the right timing to trade and the best entry is when the market is not crashing, not totally pumping, but more on a stable condition. You will only recognize this if you are a frequent trader as you can create differences based on the results of your trades. Although no trades can be perfectly done, but they can be perfectly right if you always trade with its right timing.
2494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: Fury vs Whyte on: March 28, 2022, 09:08:14 PM
I think this is another great fight and as always, I can never bet against Fury as he is the king of the heavyweight division.
The poll is not up yet, but you know what fighter I will vote to win.

So what we are going to see is this fight and a rematch of Joshua and Usyk.

Wilder seemed lost now.  Grin
Probably the fight will be very much entertaining as we are soon to witness a great fighter who is always defending his incredible unbeaten record that makes Fury the crowd's favorite bet. But not to mention Whyte as he is been doing great too in the boxing arena and to think that he admitted that he has dropped Fury on multiple occasions in a sparring session, well this fight will prove it all. And the rematch of Joshua and Usyk will add another highlight too on the said event.
2495  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are there no altcoins that can replace Bitcoin? on: March 28, 2022, 08:50:59 PM
The main reason is true decentralization, there are a few good altcoins around the market but not truly decentralized. They likely decentralized functionally on the chain, but not overall. Bitcoin is the mother coin backed by the worldwide Bitcoin community and investors that no altcoin succeed to build. That's the reason still now no altcoin replaced Bitcoin. Not sure about the Future, there would be a more powerful cryptocurrency with the latest technologies that would replace Bitcoin. But there is a matter of community that we can't ignore. It will play a major role in replacing Bitcoin.
Bitcoin is the most decentralized network and blockchain and no altcoins can be even called decentralized as most of them are totally centralized. The reason why bitcoin remains the only one and that no altcoins can ever replaced bitcoin. Bitcoin is the king of crypto and has the highest store of value while altcoins are just alternative coins for bitcoin and their value are only based on the movement of the price of bitcoin.
2496  Other / Politics & Society / Re: FIFA and UEFA has suspended Russian Football teams. on: March 28, 2022, 08:03:27 PM
FIFA must be consistent with regulations like this, if they don't want to include the names of countries attacking other countries because of political problems until a war occurs like Russia, then in the future they must do the same thing. It would be unfair if this was only done for Russia, considering that football should not be associated with politics. If I'm not mistaken, in the past when Israel and Palestine had political problems, FIFA did not take serious action against Israeli football. (CMIIW). So, if this is the first step from FIFA, and the same thing should be done in the future.
FIFA's decision was totally unfair on the side of Russian players because what was going on their country was never their own will, and in fact they were also very affected by the war. Hopefully, FIFA should be more firm and fair in their next decisions and should not end up discriminating the players. I firmly believe that they don't deserve the suspension. What the leader of the country has done has nothing to do with its own citizens.
2497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Gambling Site on: March 28, 2022, 07:41:00 PM
When it comes to gambling, everyone has their favorite game to play. Some people like to gamble on wrestling, football, dice, video games, hockey, tennis, Whot, other sports and casinos etc.

So with this which of the gambling sites and sites which I have mentioned before is the best? Is it sports or casinos?

Your title is very much different from your content it's not sites you want to discuss but categories, so you want to ask what we want to gamble with our money, both are good it goes down to preferences, some want a bit of luck based and some want to analyze but both categories can give us excitement and entertainment, in my case I prefer casinos this is where I excite the most and I don't have to analyze.
You are right mate, the title itself and its contents do not coincide. Well anyways, gambling gives me more fun and excitement and when i gamble, its mostly in sports and do less in casinos. However, i tried gambling in casinos before but maybe i was too carried away by my emotions that time and so i end up losing everything. After that, i tried sports gambling and i found my luck there. Usually, i do betting in basketball and football.
2498  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best coaches in Football and performance on: March 28, 2022, 08:56:35 AM
In my personal opinion, the best coach of all time and the coach who has won the most trophies is Alex Ferguson, a total of 48 trophies that he has won since 39 years of coaching, and 38 trophies he got when he coached Manchester United, maybe for now there is no coach. who can match the achievement of the championship title that was obtained by Alex Ferguson, who do you think is the next coach who is able to pursue the acquisition of the Sir Alex Ferguson trophy.
You are right mate. Sir Alex Ferguson is the greatest football manager of all time after he worked as a coach. Its clear that in the history of football, no other coaches can beat his coaching strategy. Apparently, he is now the Director, Football Board at Manchester United Football Club Limited. Though there are other top coaches in the field of football, but Sir Alex Ferguson's achievement was definitely incomparable.
2499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 OSCARS - Nominees, Odds and Predictions! on: March 28, 2022, 08:30:56 AM
I do not really understand why there are so many laudatory and good reviews about the film Belfast?  I think that this is a rather mediocre film, mixed with some kind of childhood memories of the screenwriter and some kind of local nostalgia for the old days.  Completely boring and not very interesting film.
I will be surprised if the academicians will award him in any nominations.
I didn't like the movie.
Well, on a light note, you don't necessarily have to like a movie before other people likes it, remember the old saying "one man's food is another man's poison", this saying is not limited to food alone, it's relevant in almost everything including movies, it highly possible that a movie you don't like ends up being another person's favorite.

Makes me remember even now, most of the movies I watch, my wife hates them, and some times, I hate some of her choice of movies too, for this reason, we mostly don't watch movies together.
But comparing every movie generally , I did say all movies are good, it is us as individuals who choose which to like and which to dislike.
Definitely a good point. We do have our own tastes and choices for everything, and this movie may be too far from your own choices, but for others it could be a great film. So if ever this film will gather a lot of awards, then there's really something great about this film but you're just too blind to see it. Well anyways, Belfast is an OSCAR nominated movie and is being praised for its sense of authenticity.
2500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: March 27, 2022, 09:10:45 PM
Tagoe could experiment all he wants, he just has to make sure that he is doing it the right way because Garcia is not an easy opponent to crack, he's been down before, was able to stand up and continue the fight. Garcia is a much tougher opponent now with that experience, so it should be Tagoe who should be careful, he could go for a KO but make sure he always keeps his defense so he will survive longer.

Experimenting is not necessary as that would cost him more rounds before he can make up with a good counter-strategy. Why not just do his usual, focus on good points then slowly applied it every round. No room for doing such testing and experiments.

While he is doing that, Garcia might be the first to hit him up badly. Stay serious and focused and think of all the things he did during their practice and training.

Anyways, we honestly don't need to say what should they do as these boxers are experienced ones.

What we need to wait for is how they will execute their strategy on the day of the fight.
This is gonna be a big fight as long as Tagoe will focus more on his strengths and show what he has got to gain, and not to lose. Of course, Garcia won't let that happen easily knowing he's been a tough fighter and undefeated in all his previous fights. And to think that he's been a 15-time national amateur champion at he's young age, then he must be very hard to beat. But of course, Tagoe on the other hand is also one of the top boxers nationwide and fighting with Garcia has always been his dream. So we'll see who will bring it to the next speed level.
