1521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gambling today and lesson i learnt (lost 2000 usd today) on: December 12, 2022, 08:38:12 PM
I had some major losses months ago and decided to quit gambling. I could continue betting, coming back with a larger bankroll to recover losses with fast and few bets like OP is doing and displaying with his currently statistics, but I prefered to not risk anymore. Good for him that he is making awesome progress so far, however, we know it's not possible to maintain results sustainable on long run. Inevitably it becomes a snowball of unrecoverable losses after a while.
It’s not just losses but even if you are making significant profits in gambling, it’s still best to not see it as a sustainable source of profits or income. Learn to quit from it eventually. And just like OP, after you make money, then leave. While others bet more to win more, but that’s become unrealistic when it comes to gambling. Because I believe to gamble is to lose, and the more you bet, the more chances of losing your money at the end of the day.
Yes. We will see ourselves losing in the end if we always gamble for profits. As gambling is made to entertain us, but we don’t see it that way. Instead, we gamble for more money and hoping it could make us consistently profitable and end up with a bigger bankroll. But we all know that the house keep us watching, and they make sure that house will always win. So let’s just be realistic, if you are not a productive gambler anymore, then quit. That’s the best way to get rid of your future losses.
1522  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My thoughts and now my experience. on: December 12, 2022, 07:45:25 PM
Quote
Diversity without research behind it is silly. I thought that when you diversify you can make a mistake, how wrong I was. You should always diversify using research and don't rush to buy.

I think that until now there are still many people who do not apply it to be honest. This often happens to newbies entering this industry. Because the only thing on their mind is to make money, although I don't include all newbies in the crypto space.

But if research is done first before investing in something with the right method, surely no one will go home a loser in whatever cryptocurrency they buy, this is just my opinion. Which I think is correct.
That is why DYOR is very much important not only in cryptocurrency investment but certainly in all aspects of our lives. Learning to diversify is a smart way, but I don’t think we should jump to that when in the first place we are not profiting yet. So the first focus is still to gain knowledge and invest in a prominent coin like bitcoin. When we are making profits already, that’s the perfect time to diversify. And when we say diversify, we should not limit only to crypto, but we should take considerations too investing in stocks, real estate, or even in gold. That way, we will gain additional profits from different type of investments.
1523  Economy / Gambling / Re: A way to attract new users or a misunderstanding? on: December 12, 2022, 07:24:46 PM
Some casinos will do everything just to attract players despite their deceiving advertisements. I've come across a casino claiming to be web 3.0 but to my surprise after wagering and upon withdrawal, they asked me to submit the KYC requirements which made me lose interest in that casino. I guess that's just their marketing strategy since they all know that most players prefer casinos that won't ask for KYC.

First of all, if a casino is web 3, does it means that it will not ask for KYC  Huh
Anyways i do agree that some casino just uses the hype of the latest technologies and try to gain customers which is very wrong in my opinion. Advertising is the right of casinos but false advertising is something that should be avoided. If any casino is found doing false advertisements, they may gain some gamblers for the time being but later the truth will be revealed, and gamblers will never trust that site.

A casino should focus on the true facts and not make false ads only to gain new users. If gambling sites do like that, people will talk bad about those sites and soon no one will play there.
Most likely when we hear web3 casinos, for me it sounds like a new era of gambling, until we start to experience that certain casinos and end up being disappointed. It’s still the same with the usuals casinos asking for KYC, nothing is really new. I guess the term web3 is just put and being associated in the names of the casinos just to attract new users and become tempted to play. Yes, this is more of a false advertisement which I think any casino that is doing that should be given a red flag and negative feedback so they can also learn their lesson.
1524  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Was Bitcoin project a failure after all ? on: December 12, 2022, 06:59:23 PM
It has been 12 years since Satoshi disappeared on December 12, 2010.
Now, it seems to have become something quite different from what he originally set out to do, doesn't it ?
I want to hear "How did you see the development of Bitcoin at that time ?
And how do you all feel about the current situation, which is far from the "pure" world that he aimed for ?"

I don’t see it as a failure project. In fact, the government is triggered by its own existence so it only means that bitcoin is now close to its goal as being legally accepted nationwide. Seeing bitcoin as an investment, it’s starting to be a trend these days since people find more profits in bitcoin compared to fiat. And as a mode of payment, I know bigger countries are now eyeing at it to be accepted as a legal currency, although I still don’t see it becoming a legal tender these days except for El Salvador.
1525  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How bitcoin has improved my life on: December 11, 2022, 10:27:28 PM
In the middle of 2015, I first learned about bitcoin. My first thought was basically, "It's a fraud!" and I ignores it. I clearly recall thinking that cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) was a Ponzi scheme in 2015 when a buddy first introduced it to me. So, one day when I was browsing YouTube, I came across a video that was clearly explaining the idea of Bitcoin and the Blockchain network. Wow, this is wonderful, I thought. I went online to obtain more resources to help me since I was intrigued and found the use of Bitcoin to be increasingly fascinating. Now that I know more about how it operates, I'm thinking about investing in it. I ponder getting a loan from the bank even though I don't have enough cash on hand, but I later decide that's not the wisest course of action, due to the danger involved in an uncertain situation. I went and told my uncle about Bitcoin. I informed him that this was a new method of generating income. He was first reluctant to invest in it, but I persisted and even made a pledge to accept responsibility for whatever transpired. Life is all about taking risks, he added, so I wasn't worried about losing it all. I simply wanted to give it a shot. He offered me a sizable sum of money to put in Bitcoin while the price was low, but when it skyrocketed, I thought about selling it out so we could profit greatly from it. I've been a millionaire since 2015, and my uncle is too.
Wow! You both have been very lucky with bitcoin. I just thought that i could have been in the same foot if I never doubted bitcoin way back then. But I was too skeptical that time that I put my money in other business but it turned out not good. So now, I don’t want to waste my money anymore on other businesses and just focus on bitcoin by accumulating more. I know I could still make it but definitely, this might be a long way to go, lot of losses first before I will step in the same foot with you.
1526  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and investing, and still very broke.why? Is it spiritual? on: December 11, 2022, 09:59:27 PM
I sit-down to wonder why traders who are consistent in trading and also investing still remain very broke despite the effort they put to erradicating poverty, but it still seems like there is some sort of unforseen and spiritual forces controlling the physical.Or should it be foundational curse from the forefathers affecting the present circumstances?or is it that the poverty is inherited? Or is it a gene or chromosome?.These are questions that that I tend to ask.
Not certainly on spiritual aspects but more on physical, mental and emotional state of the investor or trader. If he starts investing without getting ready these physical, mental and emotional aspects, he will still be unsuccessful in all his attempts. He should invest or trade not because of his greed on money, but he should invest because that’s what his passion is telling him so. He should trade because he knows he is already prepared in combatting the risks that trading has.
1527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I became Independent Because of Cryptocurrency on: December 11, 2022, 09:41:25 PM
I know this is just silly story but I want to tell you that my bitcoin journey is not fascinating but here I want to tell.
In 2017 I started Bitcoin trading and also got skeptical in crypto. I lost too much much money but I got resilient. Cause I know that their is a future for me in this.
After late 2019 beacsue I took admission in university and now I am  independent and I do not need Money from my parents and that's good for me. I started making Money from crypto. I am And that was joy for me. Now I am making 100 dollars plus form crypto. That is enough for me.

Congratulations. That is something that you deserved because you didn’t care of quitting when crypto was very rude to you, something that you should be compensated because of your patience and resilience. However, I do believe that there is more ahead of you if you keep your faith in bitcoin and continue to focus on your crypto journey. Although you have to study first because that should be your top priority, but never let go of your crypto journey too because you are in the verge of profiting.
1528  Economy / Economics / Re: Twitter Crypto head and staff resigns on: December 11, 2022, 09:20:24 PM
not sure how this news going to affect crypto. even the doge fans are not even aware there is a Twitter crypto team.

elon will not care either if they all resign, he may be happy for what is going to happen. once BTC and whichever coins he'd fused to twitter, there will be lesser people to pay. he wants to automate things and will just run a program to operate.
Probably, these people resigned because of Elon, his new set of rules might be against the will of these people that’s why everyone had no choice but to leave the company. But we also know that Elon won’t be triggered by this, he could even bring his own people to work for the company and let those old staffs disappear. And of course, having few staffs to pay will give advantage to Elon and that will make him dominates in his new owned company.
1529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: December 10, 2022, 09:59:34 PM
I think it's possible for artificial intelligence with AI technology to be used in other fields, for example things that are more important to help other humans.
I would not be interested in using it in gambling let alone putting my money in bets using this technology even though the predictions are accurate 90% or 100% I still use my experience and mind to bet on sports betting gambling
Artificial intelligence may be somewhat reliable in other aspects like the human intelligence itself but I guess, it won’t be completely reliable when it comes to a match. Although it may give some hints but if I am to bet, betting based on AI might bring a bigger risk. So I would rather chose betting based on my instinct and certainly based on my high knowledge and experiences in gambling. That is way more reliable for me.
1530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambing Halal or Haram According to Jewish Or Christian Faith? on: December 10, 2022, 09:40:35 PM
In Christianity, there is no where gambling is mentioned in the bible that it is a sin. In the church, pastor will not even want to talk about gambling. But if a pastor is asked if gambling is a sin, he would say the love of money is the root of all evil and uses some chapters in the bible to discourage you which can be followed with some practical examples of how some people lost to gambling. All he will be pointing to is that it is better not to gamble.

But not where in the bible that gambling is referred to as a sin in christianity.
Gambling is not really condemned as a sin in Christians but as a Christian, the love of money and the attempts of getting rich quick is always discourage since it will lead to committing crimes in the long run. And since gambling focuses on money and how to gained more of it, so priests and pastors always discourage the people to stay away from gambling as it’s a clear manifestation for the love of money.
1531  Economy / Speculation / Re: Elon Musk says the price of BTC will rise on: December 10, 2022, 09:20:07 PM
You should have attached his tweet with your post to make it more interesting.

But that is needless to say although names of such has a huge impact with demand-based assets such as cryptocurrencies or Bitcoin to be more specific. Anyone can say the same thing but only few could really put weigh on such statement. As he have mentioned, Bitcoin will but don't expect for an instant increase. On its application, those who could wait should hold because there might be months more before we see a clear sign of recovery. But at the end of the day, elon musk does not carry the fate of this industry, things might change so you choose what to do.
Regardless of what is Elon tweet, it’s a certain fact that bitcoin will never stay dumping all the time but it will surely recover and reach significant heights in due time. Although we can’t tell when its probably happening, but history has proven that bitcoin will never stop growing and increasing its value. So while bitcoin is still cheap at the moment, now is the perfect time to buy and hold more bitcoin and reap all the possible profits when the market turns bullish.

5 things you should not do with your money to get rich or advance your lives

Saving doesn't make us rich, it just makes us more selfish with ourselves. If you want to become rich, you should work hard and give your best, not save. A rich person is someone who doesn't have to worry about money. If you have a lot of money but dare not spend it, no one will say you are rich. Don't just save money without knowing what else to do.
Save and invest. Saving alone is useless, but when you save and invest, you will have bigger chances to increase your savings because of the profits you can gain out from investing. Although you don’t need to invest all what you save, but invest only a portion which you think you are okay to lose. And invest with knowledge and skills so you will gain possible profits in the end.
1533  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Proof Of Income Will This Pass on: December 09, 2022, 10:58:25 PM
If you only even provide that amount and you are collecting just that amount which is $500 as monthly salary, that should not be a reason for a casino not to enable you to withdraw, if the casino do not alllow you to withdraw, that is a scam. Why casinos not ask of proof of income before deposit, but asking when withdrawing. I do not always like casinos for easy registration and deposit and a hard way of withdrawing.
Most probably, for non reputable casinos, they always make it a point to make withrawal hard for the players. I don't know their valid reason for that, its just that legal and reputable casinos won't do same like that. And also, presenting your proof of income is part of KYC, you have to comply it the moment you register, not in the time of withrawal
1534  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My advice If you are here to make money on: December 09, 2022, 10:43:13 PM
Most important in crypto is stable income everyday.

While you can definitely make life-changing money in crypto if you know what you're doing — the words "crypto", "trading", and "stable" doesn't really go well together. Even the best traders have bad trading days.
Its undeniable that there are money in trading, but its not always as it is. Trading may also means losing your money, that even skilled traders are not free from it. However, if your aim is to optimize profits, then understand that it won't be possible instantly. Stable income is good, but trading cannot guarantee it all the time.
1535  Economy / Economics / Re: Use your money wisely. Invest or Deposit ? on: December 09, 2022, 10:23:58 PM
Now you have $100,000 in your account, pure savings, and you don't need this amount of money to cover your daily expenses. Obviously it's good/free money to use at will. Let's say if you deposit the money into a bank and the annual interst rate is 3%, you will get a steady interest income year by year. If you use this money to buy Bitcoin, let's say the BTC drops to $17,000, you'll buy less than 6 Bitcoins. In the long run, what would you do with this money ? And why ?
Investing is a more profitable choice, but never go for all in investing as it could be very risky to take. Having that huge amount, you can take half of it and invest it into bitcoin and now is definitely the best time to enter the market at its bearish state. Leave the other half for savings, as it could also serve as emergency funds for you.
1536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My concern of security when using casino houses. on: December 09, 2022, 09:52:04 PM
Casino security directly depends on how guarded the casino is, they usually place several people to secure the place so that nothing dangerous happens unless the casino is illegal and does not get permission from the local government.
In my place, there are no live casinos that can be visited, but in big cities, there are live gambling places that are operating but are illegal.
They are nowadays preferring online casinos because just lying in bed can open casino sites easily. But hacking online sites will be a problem for every user like phishing sites, malware, etc.
Live or Online Casino has their own advantages and disadvantages and depends on the needs.
We can always go for online or live casinos of our choice but we should always be cautious and even mindful from being scammed or being put into danger especially outside live casinos. Even if we say that live casinos have several guards to keep safe the site, but i think there is more danger outside in physical casinos that you can't even protect yourself once you will be cornered.
1537  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do when trading gives you heart problem. on: December 08, 2022, 11:27:23 PM
We know that the market is dynamic,as in it changes constantly, and as such,an investor who isn't careful enough to know when he is investing will fall in to heart problems or emotional trauma as a result of a massive fall in value, that is why it is important to condition your mind in a way that you won't get heart failure when you are at the loosing end.
Every investor knows there is risk in the game, and taking the risk is what shows you are ready to eradicate poverty from your life.
Trading goes with risk taking, and if you’re not fierce enough to fight with it, then you will definitely fall into heart problems. That is the worst in trading, so if you think you’re weak and easily gets emotionally affected, then think a hundred times before you enter trading. As trading gives you a hundred reasons to celebrate when you are in profits, but it also enable you to face a thousand times of grief and regrets when you are in the losing end.
1538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Types Of Online Casinos To Avoid.. on: December 08, 2022, 11:01:12 PM

Online Casinos Without Online Presence/Community

From my observations, I think online casinos without online presence or community of users are likely to scam any user and get away with it easily,

This is true but also make sure this community aren't bought because today companies are doing everything humanly possible to look legit when they just scammers looking for innocent individual to defraud. Don't just rely on community reviews as those can be pay for. We have seen companies come on this forum to ask for reviews in exchange for some Bitcoin.

Although those are not technically wrong but they can affect the kind of review they get from users because money is involved and since the participants of the tasks need it, they'll want to make the casino look good with positive reviews which mightn't be true.
Positive reviews should not be your only source if you want to gamble because they have become more unreliable these days. I guess those feedbacks coming from your friends experiences instead are a lot more helpful than those coming from strangers. But with Ann thread, its even more helpful for most of us as it can easily guarantee us that the casino is not illegal and is somehow reliable.
1539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you experienced this kind of gambling on: December 08, 2022, 09:59:09 PM
Such 'strategies', so to speak, are used by people who delude themselves into thinking they have found a good way to make money from gambling. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Anyway, I looked at it, and it is just a coincidence <...>

It is.

Such people also tend to tell you when they win but don't tell you all the times they lose. It happened to me with a friend who said he was winning at slots, until at one point he collapsed because he had lost too much and confessed the truth to me.
The truth is, no one gets more profits in gambling because it’s more of a losing game. And some gamblers have known it from the start, but they believe on luck and chances so they always chase for them in gambling. However, with this type of strategy, I believe it’s more on coincidence than just real statistics. No one is fool enough to believe that gambling is played in this way, but because gamblers always find means to win than to lose, that is why others have resort into this type of strategy and some are really seeing it working for them.
1540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How was your first attempt to play gambling on: December 05, 2022, 08:59:35 PM
Lolz, this thread just gave me a flash back memories of when and how I started betting from the influence of my friends who usually go to betting shop every morning as at then. I used to analyze matches for him , so he told me I should start betting on those predictions that I will some cool cash since I'm good with football analysis. To cut the story short I Lost my first attempted game.
You are not alone because i was just like you too. I was influenced with my friends too and even encouraged me that there are a lot of winnings than losses in gambling. And I really proved that the first time I gamble since I won a good amount, maybe my beginner’s luck has something to do with that. But little did I know that gambling is just good at the beginning and it will definitely get back all the money I won and just lose them all in the end. However, if you have really good skills and strategies in gambling, I believe you won’t always be at the losing end.
