2501  Economy / Lending / Re: [Required] 0.145BTC loan. on: May 17, 2015, 10:05:53 AM
Hello community ,
I'm looking for a 0.145BTC loan ,which will be repaid by the 23 of May .

I will repay 0.16BTC by this date .

I'm sorry ,but i don't have any collateral at this point.

Let me know if you can help ,
Best regards.

Hmm.. 0.145 bitcoin and no collateral? It is so risky and you can abandon this full member account without repaying the loan...
2502  Other / Meta / Re: If I pay 10 BTC for a donator account, can donators get red trust? on: May 17, 2015, 09:55:35 AM
Just wondering if I paid 10 or 50 BTC for the rank, am I protected in anyway from users like Quickseller / Vod's bullshit ratings without proof, meaning will negatives not turn my account into "trade with extreme caution -6" red?

If so, please Theymos message me the address to send 10 BTC to, thank you.
Just follow what everyone else told you to do.
And anyways if you still want to donate(help to the forum is appreciated), here is the address - "17RTTUAiiPqUTKtEggJPec8RxLMi2n9EZ9"
This address could be easily found on this page - https://bitcointalk.org/donate.html .

He is asking another thing:

Just wondering if I paid 10 or 50 BTC for the rank, am I protected in anyway from users like Quickseller / Vod's bullshit ratings without proof, meaning will negatives not turn my account into "trade with extreme caution -6" red?
...

And the reply is: no,  you are not protected (as Muhammed Zakir  said in his post).
2503  Other / Meta / Re: If I pay 10 BTC for a donator account, can donators get red trust? on: May 17, 2015, 09:08:31 AM
No. You will still get red rating. What I recommend you is to repay people you scammed.
I didn't scam anyone thats the funny and sad part. One guy thinks he found a witch in a witch hunt and the whole community tags along for the hell of it.

You are a Probable alt of KingofSports , why don't you repay the 2 btc to the other user  (and pay all your debt, instead to pay 10 btc for the donator rank?).
2504  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you really think bitcoin price will pump to 1000 dollars after.... on: May 17, 2015, 08:32:41 AM
As a small time merchant who also accepts BTC as payment, I've never sold any coin that has been transacted for goods/services (the number of transactions has not been great, so can absorb that), though it appears that most people feel that it is converted to FIAT immediately.

Perhaps that is because of the long down trend we've seen, but if it starts to trend upwards then perhaps some of those merchants will start to speculate a little with what they can afford to hold if they can without needing it for cashflow purposes.  If that happens then that could put a fire under the price and it accelerates away causing another bubble.  I imagine that there would also be a counter to that where people only spend in BTC what they have to which would stifle that growth to a degree, but people might be more comfortable spending gains as needed, and I can still envisage a scenario of decent growth being possible, possibly a runaway success even.

I'm incredibly optimistic about the success of bitcoin, but to put a price on it could be orders of magnitude out of actual behaviour.

The credit card transactions have a fee, and we have to wait 28 days for payment, and then it's only 90% of total transaction value (that includes things like shipping that must be paid weekly and we end up paying for the privilege of being the banker to the transaction processors), and the remaining 10% we have to wait 6 months for.  Would we discount for BTC?  Sure we would, but if it were popular we'd probably start having to convert at least some of it to FIAT, at least in the short term.

Thanks for your post, can I ask you what are you selling (means: have you a bar, pub or a 'market'...)?

I honestly don't think bitcoin will ever go high as it did. I could be wrong but it just doesn't seem likely.

it will eventually, but not as fast as some people are hoping. it requires a lot patience. i think within 5 years it might happen. long term looks good. short term not so much.
It'll happen sooner than that, something big is gonna happen w/i a few years max. This bear market is wearing thin and there's too many interested parties w/ money looking from the outside in. The value of the US dollar isn't going to remain this strong on into the future.

Sooner or later, doesn't make sense.... I think when the block reward will be less than the total miner fee (of 1 block) the price of 1 bitcoin will be more than 500 dollars. But also the mining farmers are important in the determination of the price.

Let's break 250$ first...

this is the best post in the entire thread. stop talking about $1000 while it is not going over $300 and probably won't go over $300 this whole year.
agree, with this price stuck in 230 240 245 under 300$ i think its not going so far from that rate, from last 2 years until now, the price is down and little up for a while, i think its to much hope that 1 btc for 1000 $

Yes the price is going down from a lot of months, if we consider the start "1200 dollars".
2505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New York Times identifies Nick Szabo as Satoshi Nakamoto on: May 17, 2015, 08:23:44 AM

I know bitcoin is created by 2 people: an American and an Englishman.

It's said that Satoshi Nakamoto is a Japanese name so that Japanese is the people who created Bitcoin. But it doesn;t matter. I;m curious that why's Satoshi hiding?

why is Satoshi hiding? Simple, he has created something that can 'break' all the economic system and you are asking why he is hiding his real identity? The japanese name doesn't mean that japanese is the people who created bitcoin (most probable he like the japanese culture and 'system' , but it is just my personal opinion).
2506  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Bitcoin websites are now legal in Russia on: May 17, 2015, 07:12:40 AM
great news, i wonder if this is due to the fact that users could circumnavigate the ban, or just russia is accepting more bitcoin now

I think because Russia wants it will start to "accept" bitcoin, maybe it has find something if useful in this technology (not only about the economic part).
2507  Other / Meta / Re: trust on: May 17, 2015, 07:08:02 AM
It is not so simple to understand how the trust system, however the link gives you by 'shorena' is really useful. Now please close/lock the thread ( ctrl + f , and search "lock topic") it will prevent a lot of useless posts.
2508  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: May 17, 2015, 07:04:34 AM
Hey marcotheminer, I have sent you a PM yesterday (can you please reply?).
2509  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcointalk Escrows [Updated Daily] Trade Safely! on: May 17, 2015, 06:10:15 AM
If you don't trust any escrow, just don't use their service.

Hey if you want to add anything how about something of substance.

WE ALL KNOW NEVER RISK ANYMORE THAN YOU ARE WILLING TO LOSE.

The question I have is simple why aren't people asking for MORE information?

Seems simple right?

People trust the escrow they use, so they don't ask more information.

[sarcasm]Well then problem solved. They 'trust' a known supporter of a scam and his name is plastered on list as 'reputable' or 'trustworthy'. [/sarcasm]

You are not really helping make this a safer environment for users who want better more trustworthy escrows.

It is only a problem of trust and I know bitcoin does not  teach us to trust  third part services.... But it is our decision to trust someone.
2510  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What about our old miners? on: May 17, 2015, 06:06:32 AM
depends.) if you are talking about FPGA or GPU, for sure you can play with it and learn something..but ASIC is designed "only" to do one single "task"..

I have find this thread : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=321527.0

And this is the interesting post:

2511  Economy / Goods / Re: 24k gold iphone 6 plus 128gb on: May 17, 2015, 05:53:09 AM
Too much red in this thread  Grin, OP we are waiting the proof of 'ownership'. Maybe if you will post some proofs, I think someone will be really interested but as the other users said ... I think it is only a scam attempt, nothing else.
2512  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcointalk Escrows [Updated Daily] Trade Safely! on: May 17, 2015, 05:48:44 AM
Which escrows, if any, are known in real life and provided details about their business address?

Would you not want to make sure these people are vetted and are able to be reached in real life?

Seems to me that should be a prime requirement for any escrow.

I think it is a good idea, but a lot if users want to stay anonymous. It is also for a question of security Wink.
2513  Economy / Lending / Re: 0.80 BTC repay 0.90 BTC Friday, 22 May 2015 on: May 17, 2015, 05:31:09 AM

Quoted as reference.

However I don't think he will scam, why should he 'ruin' his personal forum account ?
2514  Other / Meta / Re: "Quickseller" marked my account red rating with no evidence in ANGER, UNETHICAL on: May 17, 2015, 05:27:13 AM
Having dealt with both Xestr and QS I can tell you 100% they are not the same person...

I'm pretty sure he was just trying to make a point. The difference is the post that was made by KoS, deleted and made again by his alt is they were the SAME EXACT post. This happened within minutes, I just happened to be browsing that thread at the right time.

Scams like this will easily be identified with the new forum, since it will record all edits and deletions for public use.

Really? That would be fantastic! Can you link me the 'post' when it is write this thing? Thanks.

For the OP, you are probable an alt of that scammer. The negative trust from BadBear is almost 100% secure (I think because he owns some valid proofs that we don't know).
2515  Other / Archival / Re: Quickseller, trust abuse, innacurate negative ratings, unprofesional escrow... on: May 17, 2015, 05:00:51 AM
But I still don't understand why he leaves also a negative trust from his alt account? And especially why two negative trust from his 'main' account? I think one negative trust "would be" more appropriate in 'this circumstance'.

...
But redsn0w, I think the thing is that a few users is a few too many.  I think it'll feel a little differently when you're the one who gets dinged because someone decides they didn't like you.  I have to admit, I was quite, quite shocked to see that nothing was done about it when QS went after me the way he did.  I also admit that I don't really know the scope of the problem, I've definitely seen it for myself in Quickseller and I don't know what I'm supposed to do about it.  Thankfully, for the moment, QS's plan failed because the folks I was advertising for saw what he was trying to do to me and decided it wasn't right.  However, who knows what future partners will say. As long as this stands, I'm going to be sending everyone I want to work for to this silly thread where QS acts like an amateur detective with a chip on his shoulder, rehashing the lies of a known scammer in order to make me look bad.

Again, I don't know what the solution is, but I think you'll feel it much more personally when you end up being the victim.

You can't do nothing, maybe try to wait some couple of months and he will remove the negative trust or change it to a neutral.
2516  Other / Meta / Re: Default Ignore List: A Humble Proposal on: May 17, 2015, 04:51:00 AM
Default Trust is a good idea - when a users scams one person, everyone is pretty much in agreement they are a scammer.

Default Ignore is not a good idea - when a user posts things someone does not like, other people may still like it.

Exactly, this is why I have said the ignore is a subjective thing and it should never be created a rhings named "Default Ignore list".

The 'problem' of the default trust is another one, it is not moderated (or at least I have read someone said this thing).
2517  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you really think bitcoin price will pump to 1000 dollars after.... on: May 16, 2015, 07:16:48 PM

this is the best post in the entire thread. stop talking about $1000 while it is not going over $300 and probably won't go over $300 this whole year.

It is obvious, the 'price' will not jump immediately to 1k dollars per bitcoin (we don't have the willy bot). However in my honest opinion, we can see an easy 500 dollars * bitcoin after the next halving (it seems the unique way to 'raise' the price I cannot see other valid ways - that are not manipulation, etc..).
2518  Other / Archival / Re: Quickseller, trust abuse, innacurate negative ratings, unprofesional escrow... on: May 16, 2015, 07:07:58 PM
It is at its core the same discussion, the main question being:
Does some one who is on the default trust have a right to use their negative ratings for personal issues, especially when no actual harm can be demonstrated?

The concise answer is "with no clearly defined, concise rule set, everything is permitted. Or not. Maybe."

I think a few users in the defaultTrust list are doing this thing, but only "few users". The phrase is always, trust systems is not moderated, but we should understand what does it mean "moderated". The personal issues should "stay" away from the trust system, in some cases (almost always).
2519  Other / Meta / Re: Default Ignore List: A Humble Proposal on: May 16, 2015, 06:32:59 PM
And another account banned Sad
Wat do?
Wonder what the thinking behind banning brand new Anons is? "I'll ban Anon again, so Anon'll know how wrong Anon is, and go away. Ain't no way Anon 'll make another free Anon account, a little angrier and less constructive this time, and come right back.
What could possibly go wrong?"

If someone doesn't agree with the rules here I think he can leaves, or am I wrong? Try to argue is really hard (also if someone is saying the truth).

You're wrong.
When normal people don't like the rules, they don't scurry away with their tails between their legs. They work to change the rules.
Not only are you wrong, you're also a vapid suckup, whose only reason for posting is to agree with the powers that be while scratching out a living from your shitty sig ads.

Grow some balls and get a real job, so you won't cringe each time you look at yourself in the mirror Smiley

Than try to argue and 'fight' from your main account, or is it banned? However what makes you thing that I do not have a job and I am living from my sig ads, I am simple posting because I have something to say... like you and all the other users that have wrote in this thread (if you don't like my thought, use the ignore function or wait the default ignore list Wink).

No one from the "powerful" is paying me to say these things, simple I am here for a long time and I have learned it is really hard to change the things here (a simple coherence).

Have you been really banned or are you only joking? Can you post a screenshot, please or will you attack me again ?
2520  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who are THEY? Are they Muslim? on: May 16, 2015, 06:16:27 PM

I remember that one time my teacher said << if we go past in the 1930 or 1950 we will see another Bible version, with more "things", words and concept. >> That makes me to thing "oh wait , there is something wrong here" and someone has removed some parts... and he completed with << I think the Quran is not modified, and if you 'catch' an old version of 100-200 years we will find the same words (except the "layout" and "graphic). >>

This is why my religion teacher said in one of his numerous lessons, ad from that time I started to think and think... and it is not so simple. I do not think it is a question of religion, the unique and important thing must be the respect " if I do not respect you, then I am worth< 0" and also the contrary.

The important thing in religion is salvation.

Translations of the Bible into other languages are just that - translations. There are revisions of translations because the language changes, thereby making a revision necessary to match the current form of the language. The Bible does not change.

Smiley

But what is the 'native' language of the Bible? I have never find an exhaustive answer to this question. You are right, but sometimes in the translation it is lost the 'sense'.

Old Testament is Ancient Hebrew. New Testament is, basically Greek, with a little Aramaic.

Smiley

Thanks, now I should find someone that knows "ancient hebrew"  and especially find and "Old Testament" not modified, but I think it is hard... for the Quran , I have some friends that know the arab language maybe in the next days I can understand much more from those verses (is this the name? verse?).

...

Lies in that website?  Probably are a few somewhere, or at the least, misunderstandings.  Just like there are lies or misunderstandings on this thread about Islam by the faithful of Islam.

But let's look at the joyous peace of the last couple of days, as reported by www.thereligionofpeace.com.

2015.05.14 (Kojiti, Nigeria) - Boko Haram open fire on families preparing for bed, killing seven members.
2015.05.14 (Benghazi, Libya) - Seven children are among eight killed when the Islamic State fires a rocket into an apartment building.
2015.05.14 (Palmyra, Syria) - Twenty-six villagers are butchered by the Islamic State, including ten beheaded.
2015.05.14 (Kabul, Afghanistan) - Nine foreigners are among fourteen people massacred when the Taliban storm a guesthouse.
2015.05.14 (Mbau, DRC) - Twenty-three more villagers are hacked to death with machetes and hatchets by ADF Islamists.
2015.05.12 (Bankalaparha, Bangladesh) - Four fundamentalists hack a secular blogger to death with knives on charges of being an atheist.

I appreciate that they nicely handle the "Big Lie", that Islam is "a religion of peace."

I knew you would post this after I make that post. Like I said, they aren't instructed by Islam, they are doing it for their own political gains and can be seen easily but I don't think you can as you always have biased opinions and already setup your mind.
In a theocracy run by the Big Cleric, there is no difference between politics and religion.

Duhh....

Exactly, but say (in general) that Islam is a religion of Violence is a little bit exaggerated (remember the strawman fallacy ).
