2502  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: at bitcointalk.org you have to be mentally strong. on: January 10, 2023, 10:19:10 PM
You're pretty much talking about conversing with people on the internet in general, mostly social media platforms. Bitcointalk isn't anything special. If anything, Bitcointalk is far less lax because you have benefit of being pseudonymous.

he speaks like a child. none of what he says is specific only to the Bitcointalk forum, or to any social networks. if he went out into the real world among real people and tried to communicate with anyone, he would notice that similar communication rules apply there. maybe in a slightly different form, but the essence is the same.
2503  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What Are Some Of The Most Efficient Ways To Invest My Bitcoin Earnings? on: January 10, 2023, 10:10:30 PM
What are some of the most efficient ways to invest my bitcoin earnings to yield profit and is the strategy of investing due for long term or short term period?

What steps do I need to take to ensure this works?

Is it a waste of time to try to invest my earnings no matter how small into bitcoin at this stage or is it something that only pays off after a one time big cash investment?

in relation to the current state of the market and the very low price of Bitcoin, I would advise you that holding bitcoin is the smartest investment. in the long term, this is where you have the lowest risk of loss, while all those yield promises carry a high risk, not only will you not make a profit with them, but you will remain at a loss.
also, you can't expect to get an answer to such a question here, who can predict such a thing?
2504  Economy / Reputation / Re: Campaign managers acting as Escrow on: January 10, 2023, 09:08:28 PM
after the FTX collapse, Binance and CMC launched reserves as an additional parameter for liquidity exchanges. Maybe we could have a similar condition here, the escrow must have a certain amount of reserves as a guarantee.

You must remember bitcointalk charity? The mismanagement of fund. Did the escrow ever made it correct? I doubt he had enough to cover it up.

I also remember some earlier cases, like master-P then very respected as an escrow service on the forum, or even the case with Lauda, but I'm not sure how it ended. Disputed were some fork coins that she claimed while holding a serious amount in bitcoin as an escrow. I still only remember the accusation but not the epilogue.
2505  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I'm starting an exchange | Need some help with features/ideas on: January 10, 2023, 01:15:22 PM
TLDR: I'm not exchanging your funds, I'm providing a service to act as a proxy to lots of exchanges, and make it easy to see how much in fees you will be paying.

you should be quite careful here, especially if you add more exchanges to the selection. I would suggest you look at this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5424907.0 while paying attention to the user fixedfolat. He represents the same exchanger. where they have very twisted rules for KYC, retention of "suspicious" coins, their own AML policy etc...
it can easily happen that someone's funds are retained by a third party and you, as an intermediary, are responsible.
2506  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Need advice about a new BTC/Crypto based website! on: January 10, 2023, 12:54:15 PM
Thank you everyone for your help. I will consider them all.

For now, I think I should first start by promoting my own skills (programming/development) to see how capable I am in marketing.

you are looking for advice about that site, but you have not publicly published the address. you are hiding it for some reason, it seems like you are not confident enough about the quality of your work.
from the point of view of marketing, it is completely wrong. marketing means that you need to spread information and introduce people to what you offer.

Post here links to your website, you will certainly get more suggestions and pieces of advice.
2507  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Wallet Selling on: January 10, 2023, 12:44:59 PM
In addition, what is stopping op from reselling these wallet files to multiple people? nothing lol. There’s even a good chance, it’s not theirs. The addresses could also be linked to centralized exchanges that shares information to tax agencies. OP can say otherwise but you'll never know because the best evidence they could provide is trust me bro.

and I very much doubt any reputable escrow from here would facilitate such sleazy dealing.

I had a similar case. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5391946 Then the user paid all costs in advance, and there was no need for escrow.
however, I think this method can only be used once and only with proof of the initial token purchase. You must prove that you really lost that money because the value of the token dropped drastically.
otherwise, we could all buy such tokens and report to the tax office that we acquired them when they were on ATH.
2508  Economy / Reputation / Re: I've been hacked on: January 10, 2023, 12:29:30 PM
For me, everything will depend on how events unfold from now on, if he collaborates and starts a repayment plan I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. If not, I'll support the flag and change the tag.

Most times in these cases we have seen people hide and yet we are seeing him all the time responding and showing his face.

I would agree with you, but unfortunately, YoMix doesn't think in that direction. I think he should get a chance to pay off the debt by working until he eventually collects the entire amount. they will allocate new funds for the manager, while at the same time, julerz's reputation will completely sink. I believe that everyone deserves a second chance.

Sometimes, bad days are there to remind us that we have good ones to look forward to. Sad it happened, we'll run new campaign soon managed by Royse777.
2509  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: scammers use too much brain on: January 10, 2023, 11:14:12 AM
Just report them as a scam. YouTube needs better safeguards in place as these should never make it onto their platform but I've reported half a dozen over the past month or so and they get removed pretty quickly.

I think the OP wanted to point out that scammers are often very intelligent, rather than exposing the scam scheme here.
I have to agree with him because I have seen very sophisticated ways of fraud, which required good detailed planning, and excellent communication skills. so I wonder why they don't use all that knowledge and skills for some legal jobs. why do they prefer to take other people's money fraudulently?
2510  Economy / Services / Re: Article writing service! SEO friendly/fast delivery/cheap rates. on: January 10, 2023, 10:08:48 AM
these days it is quite a hot topic with excellent AI alternatives for writing articles, now I see that you offer items from any category here. do you also use one of the AI writer helpers I find it a bit unbelievable that you (or anyone else) can deliver quality regardless of the topic you are writing about?
Can you give us some tips on how to recognise articles written by humans in regard to AI writing tools? Some of your examples?
2511  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Advice wanted for blockchain game opening up to ERC-20 tokens on: January 05, 2023, 12:03:55 PM
there have been significant changes to the Ethereum network, but I remember a period when token transactions were too expensive, plus too slow. maybe in the future that won't be the case, but because of that I would always avoid the ERC20 network for some more aggressive utilisation. There are certainly faster and cheaper alternatives.
of course, you know what is possible and what not to implement in your system.
Just my $0.02.
2512  Other / Off-topic / Re: My story and where it is now..... on: January 05, 2023, 11:20:06 AM
Lately, I have had quite limited access to my computer, so I haven't spent much time online, but because of my empathy I had to look for an update here

The other option was a balloon pump which is inserted through my groin area. I will help my heart pump better as well as return blood to my heart when exerting myself. This option also moves me to status 2 and puts me much higher on the list. Likely the 2-4 week wait on average. There are cons as well. I cannot move. I'll be flat on my back til they get me a heart. Gotta use the bathroom laying down, eat, everything. Flat the whole time. It's not a perfect option but it is an option.

this is a really complicated and ungrateful decision, solving one problem often creates another new one. There is the factor of the urgency of the problem and the shortening of uncertainty but lying motionless for a long time will certainly cause some other problems and significantly complicate recovery after all (I know that from personal experience). one hospital day requires a minimum of 3-5 days of rehabilitation. With heart problems, recovery can certainly take longer due to the limited allowable fatigue.
I can only guess what kind of mental hell you and your family are going through and it is really necessary to stay strong.

2513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New feature on AltcoinsTalks forum - you can teleport your rank from bitcointalk on: January 02, 2023, 11:33:17 PM
Altcoinstalks now has a growing number of users as the rules and censorship from Bitcointalk are tighter. I have seen a few bounty campaigns that favor altcoinstalks members more.

what kind of censorship are you talking about, can you give a specific example? and if you could show the reference where the rule about censoring is emphasized.
I assume that you distinguish useless spam from the informative discussion.
honestly, it would be great if all bounty campaigns moved to that forum.
2514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2022/2023 on: January 02, 2023, 11:19:06 PM
There was only one game taking place this evening and what a game it was. This season carries on throwing surprises and what a surprise it was. I thought Liverpool would walk away from the game at least with a point but Brentford hard other ideas. Liverpool sit in 6th place four points adrift of a Champions League spot. This is a serious setback for them and they have now lost 5 league games already this season.

due to WC, and a very tight schedule of matches, this season is quite open with many surprising results. I think there will be more surprises here, especially because the "smaller" clubs are at an advantage due to the smaller number of players they sent to Qatar, they are certainly much more rested.
I am not surprised by Liverpool's weak games, because their style of play is very physically demanding and without regularly bringing in fresh players, they cannot hope for more significant results.
2515  Economy / Reputation / Re: Merit Overflow of ltcrstrbrt on: December 31, 2022, 12:08:03 PM
It is verified too. That means this account has not changed ownership. But what about merit abuse??? Would you like to say anything about merit abuse?

this doesn't have to mean anything. there is nothing significant at this address except useless shit tokens. the last transaction was a year ago, and then all Ethereum was withdrawn, the only thing worth there. very possible right before the sale.
scammers and account resellers know about this type of check and there is no reason to give a private key from some useless bounty address, just as they give access to the email address to which the account is registered.
I wouldn't trust this account for a more serious trade, especially not after dubious merit transactions.
2516  Economy / Services / Re: How to Improve SEO of Your Website in Better Way on: December 30, 2022, 06:32:19 PM
Since this post has nothing to do with offering any service, you should probably move it to either Beginners & Help or Off-topic. I think the second option would be more reasonable since it has nothing to do with Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general.

the purpose of opening this topic is not to offer any kind of service, although at the end of the post there is a link that leads to I assume OP's page where he offers some kind of service. this is the most common guest post to create backlinks that come from a site with a high DA.

also, this other account Benize immediately continued the discussion but left a different link, I believe it is from the same owner.
2517  Economy / Reputation / Re: My ignore list got a Christmas cleanup on: December 30, 2022, 12:58:11 PM
I think that something was misunderstood. dkbit98 was never on my ignore list. But he warned me some months ago that if don't ignore / I keep answering to Jerry he will add me to his ignore list.

I'm not sure who Jerry is, but it sounds like a legitimate ignore reason by dkbit98.

my ignore list is not too extensive and there are only dominant trolls and uncompromising spammers. I don't see how anyone can improve their communication here while excluding everyone whose opinion they don't like. It boils down to a narrow circle of people, but in that case, a forum is not the best communication platform.
2518  Economy / Reputation / Re: 5000 good posts reported - we can all do it too! on: December 30, 2022, 12:26:12 PM
If the admin/mods did their jobs we wouldn't have to report anywhere near as many posts which, like previous posters, go "unhandled" seemingly through indifference.
I don't think that "unhandled" means indifference, its more often about mods/admins not wanting to mark report as being bad, so they leave it unhandled.

Beside admins/mods being way more strict, the other way to reduce amount of reports needed by other members is forum has more of them, preferably each board having different mod so they can browse through every new topic and moderate it (the way its been done in some other forum I visit). Since mods here are paid for their work, I don't think that's going to happen.

has any moderator so far explained exactly what is crucial in approving the deletion of reported posts?
on only 3440 reported posts, I have 14 bad, and 14 unhandled. although I'm pretty sure all unhandled absolutely deserve to be deleted. I would really like to hear the moderator's opinion on why they left it unhandled. not only in my case but in general for everyone, especially reported by users who have a high percentage of accuracy.

I believe there was already a discussion about this, but I haven't seen the mod's confession until now.
2519  Other / Archival / Re: Exchange Graveyard in 2021-2022 on: December 30, 2022, 10:28:32 AM
My next prediction for bigger exchange to collapse is Crypto.com.

they also seem the riskiest to me. I often see their advertisements at very expensive events. With all their problems with reserves, it seems to me like a desperate need for new users and fresh investors' money.

I'm still waiting for Yobit to appear on a year end list like this, but they somehow miraculously seem to stay afloat.  They've got to be operating out of some Russian jerkoff's basement or something, with no staff but some slob in his underwear.

Yobit uses a completely different method of managing user funds. all funds are always under their control, they do not place them on other services with higher interest, and they don't invest in dubious tokens, they create them themselves.
As their reputation is quite damaged, they no longer have the capacity to create a boom and attract large investors, that's why they decided to work with smaller amounts of money (compared to FTX, Celsius, etc...) but in the long term.
2520  Economy / Services / Re: Create a HQ wordpress website for you. on: December 30, 2022, 09:47:40 AM
Do you have a portfolio somewhere (I guess the link from your signature is not your masterpiece)? or at least a list of the technologies you work in?
although, you are not active here, so that does not inspire confidence for long-term cooperation. We never know when you will go offline again.

I have a paid theme for one site with all plugins, but development is quite slow, mostly because of my lack of creativity. Probably the best solution for me is to hire someone like you, but it seems risky to give admin privileges to someone who often just disappears.
