2501  Economy / Economics / Re: CEO Patrick Byrne has accumulated stash to 'survive three-month freeze' on: November 18, 2015, 05:03:07 PM
this all might be part of a pr stunt. ceo of overstock is a wise man, can't see him put that much gold and silver under the ground. it doesn't make sense if it isn't a pr stunt.
2502  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you actively spend your bitcoins? on: November 17, 2015, 07:28:08 PM
i spend bitcoins around twice a month as i am more in a saving mode right now. but what exactly do you consider "actively spending"? each day a few times or just a few times per week.
2503  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone booked profit when btc touched $ 400 ? on: November 17, 2015, 07:25:22 PM
i made a profit of $140 by selling 2 bitcoins. for some people it may not look like much, but for me it is a great achievement. i am happy with each profit, how much doesn't matter.
2504  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where To Buy BTC Instantly With Only Banking Account? on: November 17, 2015, 07:23:22 PM
if you live in the netherlands or belgium you can use bitonic.nl. they allow you to purchase bitcoins safe and instantly without hassle.
2505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin issues on: November 17, 2015, 05:11:59 PM
For me, I cannot buy/sell without my full proof on exchanges in my country(india). They need KYC. Because i don't satisfy/trust with localbitcoins.  Undecided

nowadays exchanges require you to verify yourself in order to start trading. that's why a lot people like btc-e. you can buy and sell and withdraw as many coins as you want without verification.
2506  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: November 17, 2015, 05:09:17 PM
banks are slow when it comes to sending and receiving payments from one bank to the other. if you send or receive money from and to the same bank, then it's instantly. but i will always choose offline storage over a bank when it comes to bitcoin.
2507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS BETTER THAN WESTERN UNION ? on: November 17, 2015, 01:56:04 PM
Bitcoin might be better than western union or other forms of money transfer but is yet to be accepted worldwide. It might have a lot of strengths but not everyone will see this. Not all my business partners or friends and people I send money to will accept Bitcoin, this forces me to remain and struggle with this ancient and expensive channel. My prayer is that Bitcoin overpowers its challenges and prove to the world that it is here to stay.

it's already accepted world wide. but just on a very small scale. we as users can make the change. use bitcoin more and show merchants and services that there is a lot demand for bitcoin payments.
2508  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you wish you could buy with btc ? on: November 17, 2015, 01:53:57 PM
Well I am new but if I had a BTC I would like that I can buy grocerys.

Or when I go to restaurant.

not sure where you live, but here in the netherlands there is a supermarket where you can buy groceries and pay with bitcoin. is that cool or is that cool. it's only a bit too far for me to shop there every day.

Sounds cool and i am jealous  Angry haha was wondering i live in your country.

no need to be jealous. search for places in the netherlands where you can pay with bitcoin, and you'll be surprised with the possibilities.  Grin
2509  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy low or sell high. What is better? on: November 17, 2015, 10:00:26 AM
sell high...
why would you want to buy low and still lose if it continues declining? sell high and get it over with. No risk, you come out on top

if you buy low and it is still going down, then you can buy all the way down. the price will go up eventually. that's why you must never go all in. always keep fiat ready to buy more coins with. that's how i do it.

2511  Economy / Speculation / Re: What moves bitcoin price? on: November 17, 2015, 09:49:46 AM
supply and demand is the most important aspect right now. at this point there are more sellers than buyers. that's why it is so hard to advance to higher price levels. after the block halving it will be completely different.
2512  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach $500 during november? on: November 17, 2015, 09:46:07 AM
$500 next year, this time around is too low in my opinion. Call me crazy but if this thing will move up to its potential, price should go up much higher in the year of the halving!
This time next year, the price could be over $2000. Two reasons for higher price. The first is the agreement of blockchain size. The bigger block size will allow more transactions, helping the adoption. The second reason is the halving of block rewardd, from 25 to 12.5 per block. This will relieve the selling pressure from miners.

2k$ i to optimistic but reasonable with it
to be over 1000 i will be also we cant predict economy for next year it may go ever 2K
also there is a chance for price to be around 1000 for the halving

for now $2000 is too optimistic. but after a few years we'll think differently about it when the new lows are in the range of $1300 and so on. it's just a matter of time before we say goodbye to sub $1000 coins.
2513  Economy / Speculation / Re: Back to $ 400 soon? on: November 17, 2015, 09:42:29 AM
bitstamp peaked at $350 which it also did a few days ago. and the price still went down. the price rising 7% is no indication that we'll see $400 any time soon. it's just a whale buying up his own coins.
2514  Economy / Speculation / Re: If we hold 300... on: November 17, 2015, 09:39:50 AM
With the holidays coming, no real/true change to what Bitcoin currently brings to the masses, it is almost certainly going to go down from this point.  Most likely breaking and staying bellow the $300 point.

Unless there is another speculation run up.

Another speculation run up could be caused by the agreement of the block size increment. This issue has hold the bitcoin price down for some time. Even if the block size is increased to 2MB temperately, the price will rise dramatically. The price has been hold down for too long.

the core devs must do something. a 2mb cap is enough to start with. i am also sure the price will rise significantly due to that.
2515  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's happening! --- 3̶6̶0̶$̶ 4̶5̶4̶$̶ 502$ on: November 16, 2015, 11:27:59 PM
Still betting on back to $220-240.

yep, waiting for my buy orders to be filled at that value Tongue

i wish you good luck with waiting. we probably won't see the price go below $250 anymore. at least, it doesn't look like it. support is strong enough to hold.
2516  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 bitcoins. Will I be a millionaire by 2020? on: November 16, 2015, 11:23:30 PM
i dont think its possible to be honest because the price is not growing that hard and then if this happened there would be a lot of rich people

there are simply too much people with huge amounts of coins that are willing to dump the price down just to secure their profits. early adopters with thousands of coins will be a huge danger for the price if it goes up to $10,000 or higher.
2517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's Fate In 2140 on: November 16, 2015, 12:06:16 PM
no one knows what will happen by that time. maybe bitcoin doesn't even exist anymore because it is replaced by something better. looking a few years infront of you is ok, but looking more than 100 years infront of you is insane.
2518  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I quit trading on: November 16, 2015, 11:59:41 AM
Trading are risky task just like gamble. I know if someone expert for trading, they might can turn loss into profit in a few day.
Anyway if you're really want to quit , you may donate some of your bits to charity and convert all the rest into your currency and save it into bank for your future need.

holding bitcoin is without much risks if you plan to hold your coins for at least a couple of years. day trading is quite risky as you don't really know what will happen. if you know how to read the market, then you can be successful in day trading.
2519  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Minimum to start on trading on: November 16, 2015, 11:56:29 AM
i've learned that the best strategy is to try to earn big by starting with a very small amount, if you can't succeed in this then you known that you were going to lose money if you were going big

if you can turn 0.01 in 0.02, you can do the same with 1 or 10, but you need to do it first with the small amount, where there are no risk

The difference between trading amounts like 0.01 and 1 - 10 Bitcoins is huge. People are more likely to take more risks with very low amounts. They won't dare to do the same with for example 1 Bitcoin.

yeah i know, but you need to practice a lot first with the small amount to increase your confidence and reduce emotions as low as possible

if you're able to systematically turn 0.01 into 0.02 at least, let's say 6-7-8 times out of 10, i'm sure you can do then the same with a bigger amount

it's about practice really, the big problem is emotions in trading, because you're not accustomed to it, you don't do it daily, it's a bit like laddering in starcraft 2 Cheesy

Yes, emotions are the b***h! But these emotions tend to get out of hand when you start risking more and more of your money! Trust me, I've been there and I've done it. Even if you are successful 9 out of 10 times with 0.1 BTCs, when you decide to risk 1 or 2 BTCs your brain just starts freaking out! Smiley

people who trade with emotions and without thinking are most likely ending up with losses. then they blame bitcoin for their own mistakes.
2520  Economy / Speculation / Re: If we hold 300... on: November 16, 2015, 10:47:23 AM
I don't think the price will be back below $300 but it is on that way i think it should be stopped by big exchanges (pumping) but anything above 300 is good at the moment.

i think the $300 price level will hold. if it doesn't hold then we are sadly going to around $270-$280 levels. only time will what will happen the comming weeks.
