if i buy say 1 gb from bittrex today on a new account, will i get 0.2 gb added after the airdrop?
You don't get any airdrop if you leave your bytes on Bittrex. assume btc/gbb price remains same
This assumption is wrong, right after every airdrop the price has dropped due to people selling their free coins.

I know that scams are not moderated on the forums but I think that It could be wiser to take off the ChipMixer ads right now as there are a lot of people who are no longer able to withdraw their funds, continuing to advertise them could make things worst for more users at this point.
It could also be they're just out of pre-arranged chips, just like what happened on July 25. This was indeed what happened, I'd like to give the "all clear". I can't delete my posts here, but it's highly offtopic now that it lost it's relevance.

This is a timeline I get: ~ 30 minutes ago I sent 0.192 BTC to BitMixer without checking the latest messages in their thread first. ~ It could also be they're just out of pre-arranged chips, just like what happened on July 25. This is indeed what happened. I got my money back, and all is good again Thanks ChipMixer, but you did make me worry! For the future - the website should announce being out of chips right at the deposit page Even though I do believe this is just caused by your own success, I urge you to implement a warning when you're out of chips. Waiting for your money from an anonymous service is scary.

This is a timeline I get: 23 hours ago ChipMixer posted they're back online after August 1, with some valid privacy advice on how to proceed on Bitcoin Cash. 21 hours ago ChipMixer posted a bid to advertise on Bitcointalk again. 16 hours ago the first complaint was posted in this thread. 30 minutes ago I sent 0.192 BTC to BitMixer without checking the latest messages in their thread first. I've sent ChipMixer a private message here, and an email. It could be they pulled an exit scam after receiving many coins since BitMixer stopped. It could also be they're just out of pre-arranged chips, just like what happened on July 25. If this is the case, I urge ChipMixer to fund it, post here, and - for the future - the website should announce being out of chips right at the deposit page. I only now see I can click "2 Mix" without a deposit to see "All chips withdrawn". Edit: I didn't see anybody complain their private keys got emptied. IF it would be an exit scam, I would expect that to happen too. As long as that didn't happen, I'm still hopeful I can't really imagine pulling an exit scam on this, BitMixer earned millions of dollars per year, and that market is open to the competition now. An exit scam would be very short sighted.

I have GBYTES in my byteball address, and it is saying it is not a linked byteball address, Do I need to link it in a bitcoin address? I thought if you have GBYTES in your byteball address, you will receive 0.2 GB every 1 GB. and blackbytes. How to link byteball address alone?
You will get GBYTE without linking, but you need to link in order to receive blackbytes. Linking is easy: in the wallet, chat to the Transition Bot. It will tell you what to do. Just link any Bitcoin address, it can be empty, and you're good to receive blackbytes for the GBYTE you have. Make sure all your GBYTE is on the linked address, and not on change addresses.

I have backup seed from android wallet. How can I import it? Android wallet says - not implemented, desktop - seed is not valid
You need a full wallet to import seeds, so a desktop wallet.

0.23551 BTC per GBYTE when I sold.
Two people took the opportunity to speculate: I'll sell their share on August 3. I just sold those shares at 0.24638 BTC per GBYTE. In the past month, most altcoins dropped a lot a few times. Byteball has been much lower too. I'm glad it recovered a bit 4 days before the new airdrop. Waiting for 25 days paid off a small profit. Payment made: f580cdf825d1d96cbc0b6c60a7688fb5c2bda4565663043880ddfb7befa49ba7UrFY! Right after my sale it dropped about 10%, and a huge sell wall appeared. Good timing The next airdrop is 4 days from now, make sure your funds are still in linked addresses, or re-link them by signing again. The current share is about 0.007 BTC per Bitcoin. Address for the bounty stays as it was declared in PM's (1Rt.....ugJ) -----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE----- 4VKOKOM6PSZBSZKMIYM7M3ZRGBFKBN3B -----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNATURE----- 1Ng86Ph7R3vCx1GYyEPLJf1fjRFtMBQiyd H8o+idVjVjdUW5XiJVawDU73Atu+K2xE5dfz4baq8lbLadRlgBH3WH4jw27ME0XjndryeLv0H9svt+Uw2nX9TR0= -----END BITCOIN SIGNATURE----- Thanks, you're linked again!

It clearly shows how imporant it is to have as much users as possible. That's also what Tony (Byteball dev) is aiming for: the value grows exponentially with the number of users. You can't compare Bitcoin Cash to BitCore though, a fork vs a new coin is totally different. BitCore has 0% premine (or 100%, depending on how you look at it). That's also a very good thing: there isn't much incentive for anybody to create another fork to cash more Bitcoin Fork coins. If there would be an incentive, we'd be looking at hundreds of forks, just like we have many altcoins now.

Omgerekend ongeveer 465 Bitcoin of $888.500.

Now we have flight delay insurance bot. It's already added to the Bot Store.
That means you can also use it for flights you're not even taking! In any other insurance business, that would be considered insurance fraud. Here it's okay I guess, and would be a nice way to experiment with it, turning it into a flight delay gambling bot. Would it also be possible to use blackbytes for flight delay insurance?

Why did the price fall so much? Why did the price go up so much? Many altcoins went up 2000% and more, and many altcoins dropped 50-70% from their high. Obviously something that goes up so fast can go down fast too. And of course there's the possibility of a "pump and dump", or even "dump and pump", all meant to get your coins cheaper. Convince people to panic sell before it rises again. The cryptomarket is highly manipulated. Last airdrop, selling right before and buying back right after the airdrop would have gotten you 50% more, while holding your bytes "only" got 20% more. That means many people speculated to profit from the 20% airdrop, which failed for them. My guess is people now speculate "the other way": sell before the airdrop hoping to profit more than the 20%. Since I've never seen this airdrop model before, I am eager to see how it turns out each month. It does hurt though, having double the amount of bytes compared to last month, but it's worth less. Makes me feel like holding was a bad choice at that moment, but as always you can only know those things afterwards. On the other hand: the people who are holding for 7 months now have seen their Bytes increase many times.

Hello there Loyce! I'm finding it rather pleasant to be more and more familiar with the regular users of BCT. I'm definitely in, but my pick is somewhat reliant on the timing of the buy. Would we be allowed to confirm our pick just before you make the buy? If not, I'll enter a little later.
I'm okay with you choosing your altcoin at a later moment. But: if #10 beats you to it, you're not included. Is that okay?

10 BTC is around $25,000. Mixing 200 BTC means mixing $500,000. Do you need to mix half a million in one transaction? Not me, I wish I had the kind of money problems in which I need to mix half a million dollars I've read about 1000+ Bitcoins being mixed at once at BitMixer, so some people would use it.

The default unit is gonna have to change from GBYTE to MBYTE (or KBYTE eventually) on exchanges.. much easier for somebody to buy 1000 MBYTEs for $1/MBYTE than 1 GBYTE for $1000/GBYTE.
You could argue the same for Bitcoin. GBYTES are traded in Bitcoins, not in dollars. So you'd rather have 1 MBYTE for 0.2 m BTC than 1 GBYTE for 0.2 BTC?

Do you have a time limit in mind for when this thread should end if not enough people show interest?
If I don't count myself, 3 people joined in 10 days. If I extrapolate, that gives 20 more days. If needed, I could also change it into "8 Month 8 Person 8 Altcoin Investment Experiment" later. For now, I'll just keep this open and wait for more people to join. I don't really have a hard limit, that's also the reason I didn't give deposit addresses yet.Who's in?

Bitmixer was a massive outfit... If you read the closing down thread, Bitmixer claims their service was valued at 5-6 million... I could sell the business for our competitors for $5-6M BitMixer also says it mixed more than a million Bitcoins in 2016. At a minimum of 0.5% fee, that gives more than 5000 Bitcoin profit (minus costs of course). I didn't know mixing is such a big business. First, due to unexpected amount of traffic, all prepared chips were withdrawn (there were not enough for this demand) I've been wondering before, but I never asked: how much does ChipMixer have to work with? BitMixer had 2000+ Bitcoin at it's peak, with some very high volume customers. If ChipMixer has - say - 100 Bitcoins, and someone wants to mix 200, it's nice to know up front that won't be possible. Also, if yesterday's ChipMixer users will get "newer" Bitcoins back, how do you guarantee they don't get their own Bitcoins back? Especially if you don't keep logs of who deposited which coins.
