2521  Economy / Gambling / Re: Join a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms on: March 11, 2022, 11:13:56 AM
Maybe if the license provider carries out the boycott, it can work well because they as regulators of gambling sites have the right to block the licenses of each gambling site. But I don't know. It goes back to each gambler.
Yea I don't think that's going to happen. There wouldn't really be any big effects imo, casinos are just like a kind of business, and honestly, providers banning them doesn't seem like it's going to do anything, except for damaging businesses that have no actual effect on their economy. Honestly, no one even views gambling casinos as something that could help them, banned or not, so I don't think it's gonna happen.

Sanctions are there to persuade them from stopping, as well as to show the damages it could bring now and in the future. That's why sanctions with the SWIFT system, payment systems, etc., could really damage since their things that are needed most of the time to process stuff. Gambling isn't really one of them.

2522  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How has trading been for you during this Ukraine and Russia war on: March 11, 2022, 02:07:04 AM
Nothing new really, pretty stable so far, today I reap profits, the next day I reap losses, and the cycle continues. DCA cycle still continues on so I'm still profiting even if a bit from the daily movements since I try to time my entries into small dips. The market hasn't really moved that much, well not enough to actually make me change the way I'm trading right now anw.

I still don't really feel the impact of the war on my trading, the market isn't really that heavily affected imo, it's just the usual movement of the market. Well at least, even if it did had one, it wasn't as big as most people expected it to be.
2523  Economy / Economics / Re: Never expect you to be rich without investment on: March 10, 2022, 02:10:01 PM
Isn't it never expect to become rich without taking any risks? Trying to learn something you'd want so that you can profit from it is a form of learning and investing (to yourself) at the same time. And it naturally comes with the risk of losing your time over doing something you may or may not even learn properly or may or may not actually make you earn money. Risking and investing is natural in the process of trying to do something, especially if it's an activity that you want to either be recognized or earn money from (or both).

Especially with the current state of things really, it isn't enough for just risks, you need to have an immense amount of luck or connections to actually make a name for yourself (money comes afterwards tbh).
2524  Economy / Economics / Re: Master card, Paypal, America express suspending services to Russians on: March 10, 2022, 04:35:18 AM
Not unexpected, more companies would probably follow the same moves if the issue persists much longer. The bigger they are, the bigger the backlash they could receive if they continued on ignoring the issue right now, they at least have to show some bit of action towards supporting Ukraine. The current thing is Russia is kind of trying to stand with China to create a power to combat the US, and China right now is letting things happen so that Russia has no way but to come to them at the end, which is what they wanted, but with this, it's like they're the dominant power in the relationship.
2525  Economy / Speculation / Re: If Russia goes full Bitcoin adoption on: March 09, 2022, 11:28:04 PM
Then wouldn't the west be forced to forcibly ban every type of safe-haven asset there is? Plus, even if they did try to do this, as I said in another post of mine, they're trying to preserve their individual wealth, in the overall scheme of things, Bitcoin adoption would not save the economy of Russia with all the sanctions placed on them. In the end the damage implemented by the sanctions will stay and will be felt by the country, whether adoption happens or not imo.

And even if they did, I don't think the west would ban crypto. It's a move that basically does nothing, might as well just strictly regulate Russia instead.
2526  Other / Off-topic / Re: Could Trump be the right choice for the ownership of Chelsea. on: March 09, 2022, 10:41:38 AM
I reckon it wouldn't be bad? I mean if he didn't know jack about managing the team, pretty sure he can spend money to hire someone who does know. He's a businessman, he can probably adapt to whatever he sees as an opportunity, whether he knows jack about it or not. He's probably going to set his sights on trying to improve the club, though tbf I think anyone who's trying to bid would try to do so, and I don't think there's much difference between those bidders anyway, the team will try, keyword try, to improve.
2527  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto is a part of war now, like it or not on: March 09, 2022, 08:57:44 AM
Assuming the movement of organizations or any related group that transact with crypto as a representative of crypto itself is... kinda dumb? I mean yes, it's open for all, but that's the point, Bitcoin doesn't take any side, it's always available for use whatever you're situation you are in. Those people are simply investors of crypto, they're not really a spokesperson for it, nor is it going to ever have one imo.

Until now, we do not know whether it’s good or bad in wartime, crypto is doing what its proponents say it does - giving people a way to work outside of traditional financial institutions - and there’s no sign that will change anytime soon.
It's probably on the good side tbh? I mean it gives more people options, and more options are always the better thing imo. It won't change ofc, it was what it was made for, if it changed well, it wouldn't be Crypto (or Bitcoin rather).
2528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blame Game in gambling on: March 09, 2022, 06:46:44 AM
Well ultimately the one to blame would be the person involved themselves, the rest are just third parties with some degree of influence to the party involved, emphasis on the "some". Sure parents can actively involve themselves in educating their kid, but in the end, it would still be the kid themselves who would decide if he would do something or not. As I said in a previous thread before, influence can be long-lasting but at the same time, it could also be not. A person can choose what they  can be influenced on imo.
2529  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin $40000 resistance on: March 09, 2022, 04:04:29 AM
Well, waiting never fails you imo, if you're in no rush to take profit in then yea, just wait. I'm of the opinion that we'd see steady movements for the next few months, ups and downs there but it wouldn't deviate much from where we are right now. Shorts might profit off of that, but hodlers wouldn't really get anything out of it. Still stand by my current strategy of going for DCA though, hasn't failed me yet and I don't think it ever will.

Please, give accurate information as you are think it can be, we all still know that bitcoin price will rise and reach ATH again.
Accurate doesn't mesh well with speculation imo.
2530  Economy / Economics / Re: Usdt is here for reason on: March 08, 2022, 03:03:46 PM
If my local bank freezes my funds i take it as its stealing
That's the point, they can "steal" it for whatever reasons they want and they can make it look perfectly legal no matter how you want. They control the data behind your account and so if they deem that they could take it, then they would, easy as that.

Its stealing if i put my money in one place then its not there later then its stolen if we allow this things its anarchy anyone say to me i just took ur money then my next answrre is good punch to face and then asking double ammount what was taken Smiley
Yea I don't know what kind of dumbass fantasy world you're living in but it doesn't work that way, at least not anymore. Maybe go back to idk, thousand years back? Not really sure, but yea, it doesn't work that way nowadays.
2531  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can you suggest a crypto spoortsbookmakers with a diposit bonus? on: March 08, 2022, 10:19:59 AM
Most sites have deposit bonuses afaik, you wouldn't be hardpressed to actually look for one, heck you might even put out other requirements since there's a lot of them that give out deposit bonuses. I'd recommend sportsbet (though it's mostly because it's the only one I actually played in and have tried fully.

I wouldn't recommend 1xbit or any gambling sites affiliated with it though. Stay away from it, there's been a lot of accusations with it and if you check, most 1xbit sig users have negative trust on them by most users.
2532  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia can evade sanction through cryptocurrencies on: March 08, 2022, 09:05:44 AM
It's more like helping them keep their money safe no? But technically the economy of the country would be rather out of hand already and sanctions would have already been applied to it, whether they want it or not. To make a comparison, it's like Bitcoin is a getaway method for them to escape a burning place, but when they come back, the place would still be burned down. Might've been the best option for the rich to keep themselves from being rich, but certainly not an option for the country itself to survive on it.
2533  Economy / Speculation / Re: Highest in history on: March 08, 2022, 07:46:38 AM
But I ask a belief whether all of that will only be history in 2021 only.
It wasn't exactly that different? I mean we're still in the $40k levels, after that rise from 2021, I'm pretty sure we're still standing at a pretty good place. Sentiments are pretty low though due to it dropping off from ath, but again, that's pretty normal imo, we won't see any market that wouldn't have any dumps and only pumps.

The year isn't so favorable so far, but it doesn't mean that it'd go down for the rest. I'd expect a steady movement so far, but reaching a new ATH doesn't seem that likely anymore. But who knows really, the year is still long, we're not even halfway through it.
2534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Disorder ? on: March 08, 2022, 03:11:12 AM
Law changes depends on how severe the situation is in each country. I don't think it's necessary using the case of the 24 year old boy. He started out at around a legal age so it's not like he's not aware of what he's doing.
Well tbf, it started out at an age of 16-17, which spiraled out of control probably during that 6-7 year gap from when he first started. I guess they're blaming the medication and process and whatnot that the kid underwent for said years but still wasn't able to stop gambling. There are a lot of cases where influence on a young age actually tends to stay when we grow up after all, especially if the said activity was still being done even after the start up. Its kinda like a virus that grew worse and worse.
2535  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Disorder ? on: March 07, 2022, 10:01:34 PM
From what I know in our country it's the usual offering of help for gamblers that has problems, exclusion to using casinos depending on their financial situation (or whenever signs of gambling disorders come up, such as mood swings, excessive stays in casinos, etc.,). On one note though, I honestly think medication is just a temporary stop measure, it doesn't actually help in solving the root of the problem. It's like putting a stop gap, and if not resolved within that time frame where the medication is effective, i hardly doubt people could get over addiction. As to how to stop it, well, not really sure, I think it varies from person to person?
2536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How To Base Value of Goods and Services To Bitcoin? on: March 07, 2022, 12:40:59 PM
I guess the issue is that Bitcoin with its high volatility changes could possibly cause issues in pricing (especially for non-automated ones) since it can change high or low quickly? Pretty sure we could still determine the values of goods and services with Bitcoin just like how we do it with fiat.

Though I honestly don't think there'd ever come a time where we need to do that, fiat isn't going anywhere anyway. We may see wide adoption of Bitcoin but it certainly isn't going to remove Fiat in action imo.
2537  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hello on: March 07, 2022, 10:33:19 AM
Is it safe to discuss this here?
I think it depends on what you want to actually discuss? If you're uncomfortable since it needs you to share some personal details then you don't have to (and I honestly recommend you don't), but if not, then I'm pretty sure it should be safe? This forum is for discussion after all, and a lot of people want to help you. I assume it's a withdrawal issue of some sort, there's tons of situations here that are similar to you afaik, so it should be acceptable and safe to share it imo.
2538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Usdt are safeheaven to avoid volatility and goverment restrictions on: March 07, 2022, 07:29:21 AM
USDT is pegged to it's fiat value USD, so I don't see the reason why it would be a safehaven? Not to mention that it can be frozen even if it was in your wallet, whether you want it or not. Pretty sure you should easily be able to find instances where Tether on wallets was frozen, most of it due to it being a "hacked" amount or something similar. So to say, having an asset where others could freeze it isn't really something I'd consider as a safehaven.

I keep funds in exchanger if one penny lost it will be all over fb twotter and on news that exchanger will be labeled as thief exchangers have full responsebility to protect and reinburse our funds.
Wallets are different.
I dont buy this usdt freeze story !
Well go do so, you'd only highlight yourself being a dumbass.
2539  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not show my bitcoin balance on: March 07, 2022, 06:22:28 AM
So you see your "BTC" asset on your wallet, and its balance is 0 am I correct? Have you tried checking the TX to check whether the transfer was successful? That's the best way to check whether your friend really "sent" you 1 BTC or not. Naturally, you can't transfer whatever you don't have in your wallet, so it's a no-brainer as to why you can't transfer your Bitcoin, it's because it's not yours yet. Other than that then there's really no way, maybe check if the wallet they sent it was correct?
2540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Currency Game on: March 06, 2022, 11:46:22 PM
It's called NFT games no? The assets that are owned by other users are originally made by the others through their assets through breeding (or some other kind of mechanic). The rules and mechanics of the game should still be dependent on how the developer wanted it, so in the end, it depends on what game you're trying to exactly play. Most of the NFT games I know though are just simply clicking and watching it do automatic battles, or card-based PVP fights like Hearthstone, Yugioh, etc.
