I traveled to Boston for meetings this week and had the privilege of meeting Dan for dinner last night.   I have some folks interested in investing and wanted to discuss XC's plan going forward.   Wow, I have been involved in many investments and opportunities over the years and have found that you can usually decide whether or not to move forward based on what they have promised and delivered to the current point, and the passion they have and articulate to you on how they want to proceed.   Some have passion, but aren't able to deliver.   It was refreshing to see the passion Dan has to innovate and revolutionize this space and the actual skill set and team to do it.   Thanks Dan for taking the time and I will continue to work to bring new investors to this coin.

Fantastic!

Hello all

If you haven't received a response to your XChat entry to the TOR Stick competition, it means your entry hasn't been received. Send another message.

Also some entrants haven't posted their address on the official forum yet.

Please do so to activate your entry.

just sent. this is my 5th try, arlyn ...i did send and receive a message from g-bert so at some point it was working. also, it kept regularly locking me out yesterday. is that normal?

Thanks, I've received your messages. If it keeps locking you out it's because you've only unlocked the app for staking. Unlock it fully by unchecking the "staking" checkbox when you unlock.

Five hours left of the competition folks!

(It ends at 5:28.53pm - though you may need to adjust this for your time zone.)

To enter, be sure to send an XChat message and post on the official forum's topic.

Hello all

If you haven't received a response to your XChat entry to the TOR Stick competition, it means your entry hasn't been received. Send another message.

I did not receive a response, so I sent another message from my address XBPMEncv8HzCqvjxdF6SbbfpvB4pTC24Da

Thanks, I received your message (and your earlier one), so your entry is registered.

If you don't get my replies, try turning off Daylight Savings Time on your computer. (A fix for this issue was built yesterday and will be available for the TOR Stick release tomorrow.)

Hey hey. I've received your messages and replied. If you don't get my replies, don't worry, your entry is received.

Also, if you're not getting replies then try turning off Daylight Savings Time on your computer and restart your XC app. There's currently a minor issue with time drift (for which a fix was built yesterday).

XC is such a great coin, but the price makes me confused. Every time the price go to around 0.002, some big holder is going to dump XC to 0.0016, and then another big holder is going to dump to 0.0013, I noticed this keeping for more than one month. When can we go up like a rocket?

Very weird market behavior.

Heh. Indeed, but it looks like that whale has stopped dumping on our news, so the pattern is just a legacy of that, since market actors expect and thus pre-empt a dump.

XC is just getting started anyway. I can't wait until I can reveal what's coming down the line.

so tomorrow we will be able to order TOR stick or I didint understand something?

Tomorrow (Thur 7 August) we release the ISO for the TOR Stick with Privacy Mode + XChat.

It'll be downloadable for free, and you can run it in a virtualised environment or put it on a flash drive.

Wanna give a shoutout to Teka, Synechist, Dan and the rest of the team for all the great things you do. Something special is happening here, XC has huge potential and the tech and announcements get better all the time.

+1.

Synechist you have the patience of a saint.

Thank you Teka for all the work.

And Dan, well, I don't need to say anything about Dan. The proof is in the pudding.

Excitement about the XC platform is growing each day. I feel it in the forum and I feel it in the trading movements. The next month promises to be a historic one for XC.

Thank you folks! This community is great.

Can someone remind me the details of this TOR stick competition?

When the XC Bitcointalk thread reaches page 1000, do the following:

1) Use XChat to send a message to:
       Address:     XDzTA6xMsx1FJkitgKaj3S9mMvPQEzN4w9

(If you don't have XChat yet, download it here.)

2) Post the address you sent the message from onto the Official XC Forum here.

3) Put your XChat address and public key into your Bitcointalk signature.

"XC Chat and Private payments merge" Can u offer a real world example of sending a private payment? Thanks!

I'll give you two:
You're a company who doesn't want their accounts publicly displayed on the blockchain.
You're making a large donation to a charity or political campaign and don't want to disclose your identity or the amount donated.

***The XC Daily Update***

Soon XC will add a new layer of privacy based on your XChat address.

XChat addresses are soon to be implemented as "stealth addresses" to which people can send payments.

This means that you'll receive payment on a different address that not even the sender knows.

As such, you can publicly display your XChat address as a kind of cryptographic "business card" for both payments and messages, without anything being linked to it on the blockchain!

Finally, combining this with Privacy Mode will conceal the amounts sent to this address.

Here's to the future!

This is killer feature, I love that we will have one address that can be used for chat AND receiving annonymous transactions. Creative and ingenious idea.

+1

I just wanted to say that combining stealth addresses with the xchat is a seriously great feature to me, it makes the whole concept so much easier to digest and use. It is clear that the team behind XC is not only focusing on tech but also on the user experience and that is really huge. It takes some really exceptional talent to present complex concepts and ideas in a form that is easy to understand and use by an average person. It is still a long way to go but I  believe that we are on a right track here. If played correctly XC can change crypto world the same way apple changed smartphone market. Once it is easy and intuitive to use and presented in an attractive package it can really go main stream. Now add the top notch tech and privacy features and I am sure we all can see the potential here.

Interesting times ahead

Spot on.

XC was created for mainstream adoption.

Man oh man I can't wait until we release mobile wallets! They'll be on another level of intuitive.

We're spending hours and hours working through the user experience from top to bottom.

Is the feature announced today in the XC daily update the undisclosed REV2 privacy feature?  Or are we still waiting on that?

Yup :-)

(Not that there won't be more privacy features to come...)

Finally!!!  Grin

You can expect the OP to be updated soon to reflect this.

Hint: it was updated earlier today... check out the new items. ;-)

New timeline makes me want to take out a loan to buy more XC!!!

Heh. I got some credit cards and sent the credit straight to an exchange.

Easiest free money ever.

With what service can i do that ? i was looking for it

Just a regular ol' transfer to bank account, then wire to exchange. The cheapest credit doesn't generally come with crypto-friendly features :-)
