So who's up for testing this?

is it possible to get the ito process reviewed or verified by a third party? not that i don't trust you but i have the feeling we'll see some people show up again come launchtime trying to associate XC with you know who again.
I think this is a very good idea.

Is Mac wallet development still an important part of your release schedule or has it been dropped completely? Yes, OSX and Linux Wallets are still very important, however the code base has been changing to fast to produce a quality wallet for either system. However once we have group chat finished, we will be releasing wallets for Android, OSX, and Linux. Dan WP8 ? Personally I'm keen on a Windows Universal App. Runs on Windows and Windows Phone. Done.

just seen vaultex will support XC from the start. around 15 markets. hope they stay exclusive. perhaps they can evolve into a nice alternative. those bots on bittrex distort the image. right now i have more trust in cryptsy. hope to see more design updates this week. perhaps one of the chat window. other green or color themes. just some more eyecandy. is the 10:1 ratio for the ito set in stone yet? can we articulate it to the outside. this is a big buying argument but i do't wanna tell friends and then it comes out different. i'd rather wait then. Good news! That's great. May Vaultex have a bright future. The 10:1 ratio isn't set in stone yet. Hopefully we'll be able to finalise the rules pretty soon. It's important that the ITO is well publicised and that people have time to consider their options.

Here are some simple designs I made using images that already exist of XCurrency: Nice!

Arlyn do you think we can contact bittrex and ask to suppress the bot that is causing to do not see sell and buy orders from XC?
Is this something that bots are allowed to do there?
I don't understand what you mean. I can see buy and sell orders. did you test the last release group chat? No not yet. How about later today when most community members are around? 1-I mean all the 0.37 xc sells and buy orders that are all over the order book. it has been like that for weeks. 2- I'll be back home at 6.15 PM GMT Oh the order spam. Yeah, fair point... While it's annoying, it helps with XC's volume so I don't mind it. What's lacking IMO is a half-decent interface on Bittrex (e.g. a non-ridiculous chart, and an order-summer that displays the total number of XC at set price intervals). Bitcoinwisdom, help us! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=190722.msg9084552#msg9084552

Arlyn, I am wondering, am I allowed to design some XC shirts and put them for sale on Spreadshirt/Redbubble? Or has that already been done.
Nice. No-one can stop you, that's for sure. Teka was planning something along those lines. Maybe chat to him - might be fruitful. It probably wouldn't be to great of a design, but I will give it a shot. Then maybe ask Teka for a design. He's pretty good.

Hello Arlyn
will the mobile wallet to be released being able to stake and to be used as an xmixer as the current wallet as well?
Thx
Morning Cryptico! Yes it'll stake. I'm uncertain about the Xmixer function at this stage. It's definitely possible, but since you can't go and manually change the startup parameters on Android it might be done as a separate app. Best to ask Dan about this.

Rev2 was released weeks ago and we still don't have a linux client. when is the ETA for a Rev2 linux client?
It sucks that one has to buy a windows license to use the latest version of XCurrency.
I agree, linux client is coming in the next few days Dan This was one week ago and we still don't have a linux client. What does "the next few days" mean? Like, tonight, most probably. Okay tonight is over and there is still no linux client. What is the ETA? I mean can't you just provide a date that is obligatory? I can't provide a date because I'm not the one compiling the software. I'm sorry it wasn't ready when I suggested it would be likely (but not certain) to be. Dan is working on this and there will be a Linux version very soon. It's just that due to inevitable bugs when compiling, it's a time-consuming process that takes away a whole lot of development time. Therefore it makes sense to get to a point at which the code is not going to change in the next few hours before spending ages compiling for different platforms.

Xnode distributed content delivery, this is where you can add webpages and store information in cloud storage?
Yup. maybe instead of downloading the blockchain on the phones why not putting the blockchain on the X-cloud and the mobile client connect with the cloud instead of downloading the whole chain. It would need to trust that the nodes it accesses the cloud from are legit. Same as a light client, I guess...

Like, tonight, most probably. Mac too, I hope? Probably not. Sorry. Next time maybe launch everything at once, that is in general way better. XC hasn't launched yet. This is active software development. Updates come so fast that it's only sensible to release other versions when the main version is likely to not change in the next 24 hours..

Synechist: Regarding your op announcement (So, there's a new OP...):
Under the section "XCHAT MESSAGE PROCESS", step 3), recommend the following change for clarity:
change from: ".....encrypts a packet containing his/her public key and sends to user B."
to: ".....encrypts a packet using user B's public key and sends to user B."
My first impression was that that step 3 implied it was (or could be interrupted as) user A's public key. It's only when you get to step 4 that it becomes clear that it's user B's public key being used to encrypt the packet.
Nice one. Yes. Though it'll need to be "user A encrypts a packet that contains his/her public key, using user B's public key."

Xchat is pretty damn polished already
Perhaps on Windows. Linux and Mac users still do not have any XChat option whatsoever. Apologies for the delay. I hear a Linux version is about done... will confirm whether this is the case as soon as I can.

Every time a transaction is made, a copy of it is stored in the blockchain. The blockchain is stored on every single computer that runs a wallet. If transactions take up a lot of space, or if a coin's technology requires a whole lot of transactions, then the blockchain becomes huge.
Blockchains can't be huge if they're to be stored on a mobile phone. So for real-world usability, a bloat-free blockchain is a central concern.
2. Please explain to me what Blockchain bloat is. My explanation is embedded in your post. Ha ha. My bad, thanks for explaining it. Yesterday I said something about Multibit, but nobody of the XC team responded to it I am pretty sure. Why not make something similar? Maybe. I don't know. Seems to be less secure. And ugly. Best to do a light client that'll preserve security, and even run on dumbphones. That, to me, would make a lot more sense.
