Teka, I'm having trouble viewing the official forum today.

I've had an account there for awhile now that I've been able to use in the past, but I went to log in today and it says 'Sorry, you don't have permission for that.' It appears that I am logged in and still getting that message.

Can I get a hand here? Thanks!

"XC Chat and Private payments merge" Can u offer a real world example of sending a private payment? Thanks!

Ok, I'll sort out the database when I'm done messing with the store. Trust me, you won't mind me delaying it . You should be able to go to xctalk.com after you logged in and everything should work fine.

OK, thanks. It's weird - I can log in with both Safari and Chrome, but I can't view the forum once logged in. I've tried clearing my cache and my cookies but get the same result.

It just says:

You're a company who doesn't want their accounts publicly displayed on the blockchain.
You're making a large donation to a charity or political campaign and don't want to disclose your identity or the amount donated.

Haha for those not brave enough to sell their soul, at least throw in an appendix, spleen, and gallbladder, you can live without those too

Soon XC will add a new layer of privacy based on your XChat address.

XChat addresses are soon to be implemented as "stealth addresses" to which people can send payments.

This means that you'll receive payment on a different address that not even the sender knows.

As such, you can publicly display your XChat address as a kind of cryptographic "business card" for both payments and messages, without anything being linked to it on the blockchain!

Finally, combining this with Privacy Mode will conceal the amounts sent to this address.
