2541  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If bitcoin was real coins, Would you pick 1500 satoshis off the ground? on: September 14, 2014, 04:53:41 AM
Only if it was minted Casascius by Mike Caldwell!

Casascius coins are a beautiful and rare mint...
2542  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: WARNING on: September 13, 2014, 09:48:44 PM
IT IS CRYSTAL CLEAR THAT
THIS IS A FUCKING PONZI
ARE YOU GUYS RETARDED?

If you help perpetuate the scheme you are a scammer
If you invested in this shit you have been scammed

"Even if they never got anything for it, it was cheap at that price.
Without malice aforethought I had given them the best show that was
ever staged in their territory since the landing of the Pilgrims!
It was easily worth fifteen million bucks to watch me put the thing over."

* this post will be moved to maximize visibility, minimize number of new victims, accelerate the inevitable scheme implosion and thus minimize overall damage

Quoting for visibility, everyone needs to know its a gamble whether or not your next withdrawal will be sent.

The "Ponzi scheme" part wouldn't come from the signature campaign payments, it would come from loads of investments under management that one day disappear. Obviously this hasn't happened yet and I hope it never does.

CryptcoMiner has followed through with his obligations thus far but all fogginess of his proposal would be alleviated if s/he explained further how s/he is able to provide 3% returns DAILY when no where else in the world offers that kind of return for your money.

The warnings are important and fair...let the buyer beware!
2543  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what Best Way to Earn btc? on: September 13, 2014, 07:23:32 AM
Join a website which pay to post on their forum or a signature campaign, there aren't many other ways to earn a decent amount of btc apart from scamming people.

There's one company paying interest on BTC. It's new, we'll see if it lasts but all current indications are that it is paying its interest daily. See my signature for details.

There's always a new way to earn BTC, just be patient!

by 2025 is over optimistic. Even moon permanent human colony by 2025 is very optimistic  Smiley

Yeah we totally went to the moon 60 years ago and still can't figure out how to get people there today.   Isn't that funny?  Smiley

-B-

It's not that we can't figure out how to do it (because we know how to get people there) or how to keep people there (because we could figure that out), it's that there's no value in spending that kind of money to have people live on the moon.
2546  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would funding your PayPal account with BTC allow you to live on BTC? on: September 13, 2014, 06:56:37 AM
No, but only because I don't have hodlings to live off of, I'm still in the BTC wealth accumulation phase.
2547  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who's brave enough to invest their life savings into Bitcoin? on: September 13, 2014, 06:17:05 AM
Investing your life savings into Bitcoin is borderline retarded and indicative of a low financial intelligence.

This is me. I invested over 80% so far. HODLING but yeah. I'm too scared to cut my losses, so I just HODL.

Are you only at a loss? Maybe there are some "coins" you can sell for a profit if you wanted to.

You should find a way to earn some more bitcoin off the bitcoin you may be hodling at a loss right now. The choices are slim but they are out there.
2548  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Where are the BTC investment or savings and loan businesses? on: September 13, 2014, 06:06:56 AM
Where are the BTC investment and savings and loan business?

Obviously I endorse through signature what appears to be an investment service, but the details provided are light and their existence in the market is still very, very new. Only time will tell how they do, but like all things (including crypto-currency) when might we see more businesses like this appear?

So many people are considering holding their BTC with hopes of appreciation, which opens up a ton of opportunity for that BTC to be collected in savings accounts and loaned out to others, which in turn keeps BTC thriving.

Any thoughts?
2549  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Police won't charge you, but they'll grab your money on: September 13, 2014, 05:46:48 AM
TO the OP, where were you pulled over? It sounds like a very isolated incident. I can understand that cops don't want to chat when they're giving you a ticket but the rest of that shit is bull. In fact, I'd be empowered to do all of those things since they AREN'T illegal. Some cops act tough but the best thing about the US is that they can't fight the laws, the legal system. If they were to fuck with you, you'd have lawyers knocking on your door to sue the cop or the city.
2550  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How imprisoned are we by money? on: September 13, 2014, 05:42:58 AM
It depends on what society you live in.

If you live in the western or developed world, you need money to survive. It's a means to whatever end you're seeking each day. If you live in a society that doesn't use money (like in small villages or tribes in deserts or jungles of Africa or the plains of the Mongolia money is likely meaningless to you.

In the western world money is freedom and debt is imprisonment. One can live on surprisingly low income as long as they don't have any debt. The debt that we incur is crushing us, it forces us to stay in jobs we don't like or live in places that don't inspire us. And the ironic thing is that a lot of the debt we incur (material objects debt) is gained in an effort to seek the things we think we want. If we weren't so greedy to be in our ideal place/state without earning it we'd be able to avoid the debt that keeps us from getting there.

Good question, good discussion.

I think the only reason you can say money means next to nothing in the third world is because the have little opportunity to acquire it and because the educations level is much lower.  But they still need money(like everyone) to maneuver and to better themselves living on this planet in this day and age.  They many be able to due more with less but that can only do so much.

As far as imprisonment and freedom go, I think in many ways and to some extent it is a mental and physical hurdle we all face.

Who said anything about 3rd world countries? I'm talking about isolated civilizations.

Tribal people and nomads have no use for money, they don't buy anything. They live off the land and the barter with other tribes. My dollar or your dollar is literally meaningless to them. They don't need money to maneuver at all.
2551  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ten adverts using 9/11 disaster on: September 13, 2014, 04:32:09 AM
If you don't like the ads the most powerful thing you can do is NOT buy the product being advertised or buy anything from the company doing the advertising.

Vote with your wallet and things will change...

2553  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] .5 BTC Silver Series 2 Casascius Coin - MS66 Graded - Only 45 Produced on: September 13, 2014, 04:11:19 AM
I'll call Sotheby's, we're all watching....hahaha.

Is anyone tracking the sales of the really rare coins (like this one)? It'd be nice to have some background as they come up but obviously it's not easy to track and follow.
2554  Economy / Goods / Re: Anybody interested in buying organic Coffee with Bitcoins"Worldwide" on: September 13, 2014, 04:09:17 AM
I'd be interested - how much are you offering and how good is the coffee from Nepal? It's great that ppl in Nepal are trying to sell coffee and that you're trying to help them but how's the quality of the product?
2555  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: CryptcoMiner.com - Earn 3%-4.5% Daily from your investment on: September 13, 2014, 04:01:00 AM
Haha, you all have defined irony.

It's ironic that you all seemingly respect or believe in the underlying, fundamental requirement for signature campaigns is CONSTRUCTIVE POSTS, and then when CryptcoMiner asks you to post here once a day NONE of you can say something constructive!

I find it hilarious.

So, since none of you are adding conversation I'll reach out to CryptcoMiner - how has the usage of your site increased, been impacted, since the campaign started? What new services do you anticipate in the future?

Thanks
2556  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: CryptcoMiner.com - Earn 3%-4.5% Daily from your investment on: September 12, 2014, 03:31:35 AM
Ladies, Gents, Fellow Sig Campaigners,

I think we can all do a bit better with our posts on this thread. Stating that you rec'd payment is not the reason CryptcoMiner has us posting on here daily. And it sure isn't constructive, which as we all know is frowned upon here. Let's keep our comments constructive and discuss something.

I'll start, who of you have invested actual money (at least $20) with CryptcoMiner?

And to CryptcoMiner, I'd appreciate seeing my investments and earnings in the context of Bitcoin, NOT Dollars...just my kind feedback.
2557  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why do you have bitcoins and what is your strategy? on: September 09, 2014, 05:31:08 AM
I'm here for history, it's historic, it's fun, it's great to be in early (even if it fades away because it's been around long enough to be remembered.)

I wish it could be a medium of exchange and an investment, but I know that's not possible.

It's up for us, the community to shape what we want this thing to be, we need to impose it on our communities and our retailers. And we CAN impose it on our retailers. I hope that some of the services that come about are investment opportunities, something that can make what I believe will ultimately be a medium of exchange useful for investment diversification.

Good luck to us all, see you on the moon.
2558  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Explain me please on: September 09, 2014, 05:19:24 AM
Good question, welcome to the forum.

It's impossible to truly predict the future price of Bitcoin per Dollar (or your local currency). This is the same with all currency or investment valuations, it's always impossible to predict with certainty.

There are factors that can influence the price (but none of them influence the price on their own). Think about Bitcoin as having two different characteristics:

1) It can be an investment. People can buy Bitcoin and hold (or hodl as the joke goes) them with hopes that they increase in value to the fiat (Dollar or other) currency purchased with. In this scenario it acts as a peer or "sibling" to the Dollar or another investment.

2) It can be a medium of exchange or a currency used to trade goods and services. In this scenario it acts as a replacement for the Dollar (or local currency) rather than an "sibling" to it.

Both of these characteristics about Bitcoin are true, however you as a speculator may think that the population of Bitcoin users may consider Bitcoin more of one vs. the other. One thing is for certain, right now Bitcoin has both of these characteristics...no one can argue this point, yet.

The future value of Bitcoin (compared to the Dollar or some other currency) depends (in part) on whether Bitcoin leans more toward one characteristic vs. the other. If it remains to be treated as an investment, the value will go up. There are a finite amount of Bitcoins and if people don't want to sell them their value will go up (it's high demand vs. limited supply). On the other hand, if Bitcoin becomes more of a true currency, a medium of exchange, its value will go down (or at least remain stable, not go up greatly) and that's because there will be constant trading and a constant supply to meet demand.

I hope more people join this discussion because it's a good one to have. Everyone has an opinion and no one knows yet what the future holds.

Good question, enjoy your time here.

How do you make the personalized private keys or can you refer me to the thread that explains it? Pretty cool...
2560  Other / Politics & Society / Re: O'Keefe dresses as'Ebola-infected ISIS terrorist' Sneak from Canada to Cleveland on: September 09, 2014, 04:54:16 AM
Yeah, and if we had armed guards around our entire boarder you'd still be screaming "how pathetic is our country". Perhaps the documentary maker was just a child during 9/11, but if you recall, they lived in our country for years before pulling off that terrible tragedy.

One of the burdens we bare of being the country that stands (in part) for "give us your weak and your tired" is the reality that some of those people may want to cause harm and in the even that those people rise up we have a Nation of Patriots to defend our country.

Grow up.
