I think both teams played well but Liverpool did play a little better than Brentford and they lead 1-0 for the time being. Actually, Liverpool had several good chances that should have been the second goal, but it's a shame they didn't have a good finishing touch. Despite playing as a guest, Brentford put up a fierce fight against Liverpool. Even, some of the attacks they carried out were enough to bother the Liverpool defense.
Both teams did play well but Liverpool played a bit better hence the one goal and the win at the end of the game. I think the match would have produced more goals than it did cause both teams did have some good opportunities at scoring but couldn’t go ahead to finish it off with a goal. Brentford did put up a good fight and had pressured their opponents in a bid to equalize. They also had some good chances but couldn’t finish as well. Liverpools defenders van Dijk and Konaté had to be more careful as both had picked up yellow cards and couldn’t risk getting sent off.
