2561  Other / Meta / Re: BCT have gone a little QUIET. on: July 24, 2018, 11:55:05 AM
Is it just me or the Forum is really peaceful now?
Hmm, IMO "peaceful" state seems unattainable since total eradication of shitposters and spammers are inevitable but at least everything is much better now Smiley. The forum is now more quiet compare before that even this section (Meta) was once flooded by unnecessary posts about merit system.

Though I still see some newbies doing redundant and nonsense topics, I admit that it is much lesser now which is quite impressive because it only means that the Shitposters Squad is now losing motivation to continue their bad habits Grin.
2562  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Satoshi Nakamoto been given any award for btc? on: July 24, 2018, 07:11:38 AM
He really deserved an award, no doubt about that. But if I were Satoshi, I will just ignore that offer and remain working silently because receiving an award also means that I need to reveal my true identity in public which means that my security and privacy will be now at risk. Fame? Nah I'll take it for granted and just feel contented with my private luxurious life plus others' appreciation to my great breakthrough Grin.
2563  Other / Meta / Re: How to secure account on bitcointalkforum on: July 24, 2018, 04:05:10 AM
I have two smartphones, I used the first one for general purposes only such as calling, texting, playing games and others except from crypto related stuffs (that's the one that I also used when I'm in public places). While on my other phone, that's where my social media, email, digital wallets and btctalk account are placed and I strictly used it only inside our house because chances of getting it robbed and hacked at the same are very high if I used it outside.

That's my way of making my accounts secured, I don't know if you can afford to have another smartphone but if you can then much better. I hope this helps a lot Smiley.
2564  Economy / Economics / Re: Why I am not sharing my crypto love? <3 on: July 23, 2018, 11:12:30 PM
I understand your point dude because I've been there also before. Though I always got rejections and bad impressions to those persons where I introduced bitcoin, they never bring me down and still choose to continue encouraging others (if they are willing). For those greedy ones that I've encountered, I just tell them that dealing with crypto is not so easy. I explain to them that patience is essential in this field and if they don't have it then feel free to exit. Sad to say, that always happen maybe because they can't afford to invest much time and money, they only want a fast and easy money or maybe they are only interested to profits and not to the bitcoin itself. Every time I encounter that kind of scenario, I feel no regrets and guilt at all because I know that I've done my part and the problem is from them.
if so, I suggest looking for another friend. that can help each other.
You know that's not simple, right? Grin You can't just throw away your friendship only because of having different interests.
2565  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Altcoins and bitcoin - Where is the good investment now? on: July 23, 2018, 07:10:29 AM
Both are beneficial in their own ways, your choice still depends on what interests you the most and the one which you think is easier to deal with so ask yourself Grin. If you are not only a newbie here inside the forum but also a newbie in crypto world then I think much better if you'll start first with btc then you can later try alts such as eth, bch or xrp (or other top altcoins in the market) after gaining some experience.

Here's a friendly reminder, never ever invest into an ICO if you are not so sure to its potential of growing because you might lose money instead of earning. I say so because IMO ICOs can be profitable only from the expert hands of traders and not for the beginners like us Smiley.
2566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There are too many new Token, new project on: July 23, 2018, 05:32:15 AM
Maybe we have miss some good project.....Because there are too Project...
I hate this thing on Crypto Grin
I agree with you sir, we might definitely miss some good projects because scrap projects outnumbered them; it's like finding a needle from a pile of hay Grin. That's why I already lose my motivation in looking for good ICOs nowadays due to very small percentage of picking the right one, I think my fear of getting scammed or ending as a loser already conquered me right before I start.

So for now i'm playing safe, I just prefer btc and eth but if there's a new project which suddenly showed in the market with an outstanding performance then that is the right time for me to consider it for investing.
2567  Other / Meta / Re: merit system question on: July 23, 2018, 02:05:44 AM
all of us have different views on a constructive post?
Exactly dude, that's why giving merit only depends on one's estimation (other replies are are right too). Your taste or perspective on others' post is the one that will serve as your standard whether you will give them merit or not. Just an advice, use your brain and not your heart when giving merits; those members who are doing their best to contribute in this forum are the real ones who deserve merits and not the "merit beggars" or even your colleagues (assuming that they're posts are not good at all).

.... that`s all that comes to my mind so far.
Sarcastic and frank posts - those posts that are short and direct to the point with a little bit rude attitude.

I'm not so sure if this should be included here but based on what I've seen so far, there are posts of this kind that are really merited Grin.
2568  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [BEWARE] Avoid putting this on your Profile Information on: July 22, 2018, 10:59:08 PM

And for the newbies out there, I hope mag aral muna kahit ng mga basics before going outside the local boards, ifamiliarize muna kung paano ang galawan sa ibang boards para less mistakes, at kung magpopost na eh "always think before you click".
2569  Economy / Economics / Re: Does money make you rich? on: July 22, 2018, 07:35:03 AM
Ironically, many only grow deeper in debt.we have all heard stories of lottery winners who are instantly poor again. Also there are cases of real estate going into foreclosure instead of making homeowners richer. We all know of persons who have lost money investing in the stock market.
Money made them all rich (assuming that they didn't fail from the very beginning) but since they did life-changing mistakes then they are now back to rags. Let's keep in our mind that money is not permanent on our side that's why we should become a wise money holder and find ways to maintain it's prosperity as much as possible (maybe by investing in any kind of business, storing in the bank to gain interests etc.)
For all intents and purposes, it is not business, estates, stocks, bitcoin (crypto currency) or money that makes a person rich. It is information, wisdom, knowledge that makes one wealthy.
Well, we all have different meanings of the word "rich" and I respect yours Smiley. For me, money can make us rich financially and wisdom makes us rich spiritually as simple as that Grin.
2570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies to Bitcoin can be dangerous! on: July 22, 2018, 03:01:29 AM
Some of these people are selling themselves as experts, because they have been in the scene for a few months. I have been in the scene for years and I still know very little about EVERY aspect of this technology.
Hahaha how silly they are! Roll Eyes Honestly, I feel the same way with you sir. Though I'm almost a year here already, I still look into myself as a beginner (as always). Yup, I have some knowledge of the practical discussions about bitcoin like its significance or its effects in our economy, but when it comes to the technical matters, I only knew a little bit which still makes me feel like a moron. That's why I really admire some of the experts here (I guess so) like achow101, theymos, Welsh and nullius and I want to become one of them some day though it seems impossible to happen Grin

2572  Other / Meta / Re: Is there option to change theme on this forum ? on: July 22, 2018, 02:10:00 AM
There is an app called twilight that reduces the blue light. It's available on google play
Thank you sir, I'll absolutely download it later Smiley.
2573  Other / Meta / Re: Is there option to change theme on this forum ? on: July 21, 2018, 11:01:17 PM
F.Lux is also an interesting program that let you reduce the blue light in your monitor.
I access this forum through a smartphone and I'm using a "brightness reducer" app to lessen the light coming from its screen. Does it also reduce the amount of blue light or not? If not then what are your suggestions to do so?

I hope you/someone could help me, thanks in advance Smiley.
2574  Local / Pilipinas / Re: LOL GARENA na patagong ginagamit ang iyong PC for bitcoin mining. [MUST READ] on: July 21, 2018, 12:15:29 PM
Though I'm not into online games, nakakabahala pa rin para sa akin 'to kasi alam ko ang epekto nito sa mga gamers (I once become a gamer before Grin). Hmm, if may riskware sa LOL then posible din kaya na meron din nito sa ibang games na ginagamitan ng Garena like HON, Point Blank, DOTA (before) etc.? Huh

Seems legit naman ang news na 'to and I just feel sad kasi pineperahan na pala nila tayo ng hindi natin nalalaman, I know na hindi nila tayo direktang ninanakawan ng pera but the bottomline is they're using us to get benefits for their own.

And since their filthy business was already debunked, I think mas malulugi pa sila ngayon dahil foe sure maraming gamers and hindi na gagamit ng services nila. I just hope na sana magawan agad ito ng aksyon ng mga kinauukulan at maparusahan agad ang mga involve dito Smiley.
2575  Other / Serious discussion / Re: The rise of Myopia on: July 21, 2018, 09:48:12 AM
I cured my own myopia simply by wearing weaker lenses and eventually not wearing glasses at all.  The most important thing is to challenge your vision and focus further away.  This did take awhile but you can feel the muscles in your eyes working to get stronger.

Wearing glasses is like using a wheel chair to move everyhwere. What will happen to your leg muscles when you roll around in a wheelchair? Your muscles will lose function!  It can be regained but it takes effort and time.
Though I never visited an eye doctor yet, I have a strong intuition that I am a nearsighted person also. I say so because I can't read books that at least 2 feet away from me, I can't read the the news headlines in the bottom of TV screen and even recognizing the faces of my friends from far position is very difficult for me. I think this happened due from my computer games addiction since I was 15 years old. Now, I'm not a game addict anymore but a bitcoin addict Grin which means that my eyes are still getting damage from the harmful computer screens.

I'm glad that I found someone with the same perspective when it comes to this kind of matter. I also refuse to wear eyeglasses because I believe that the glass of its wearer becomes thicker and thicker as time goes by (but I'm not sure if this is a myth or not). I just let my eyes cure itself because I do believe that each body organ of our body has a defense mecahnism/immune system against its threats. What I do now to avoid further eye damage is I lessen the screen brightness of my smartphone everytime I used it., I also make sure that my room is well lighted before using such electronic devices and I also now starting to lessen the period of time when using a computer.

Nevertheless, I still have a plan of having an eye check up to know the real current condition of my eye but I think not now because I'm still busy with my thesis and I still don't have enough money for a proper medication Smiley.
2576  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach 10k$ at this time? on: July 21, 2018, 03:26:42 AM
Don't be overconfident my friend, I know that btc is soaring up right now and that's great (believe me, I enjoyed it a lot too) but we still don't know if this will continue or not. Remember, we're not yet half way there (on the previous ATH) so better for us to patiently wait and avoid expecting too much. Besides, it's still early, we still have four months before this year ends; so many things could still possibly happen whether a good one or a bad one.

PS: I'm not pessimistic, I'm just guarding myself on having too much expectations Smiley.
2577  Other / Meta / Re: Problem with merit on: July 20, 2018, 11:15:10 PM
@ OP ~ Honestly, I got confused of what you've said because of your wrong grammar but don't worry I still got your point somehow. So you are telling us that ico-russia701 is selling btctalk accounts then you refused and now warned us to avoid dealing with stuffs like that? Am I right? (I guess so Grin) Well, that was a good move because you are honest and not even tempted to do illegal things here. You are a role model despite having a low rank and i just hope that others do the same way Smiley

What a silly offer Roll Eyes I bet that even a desperate one will not buy because there's no sense of buying Legendary account with red trust. With red trust, you can't join sig campaigns and bounty campaigns; so how the ROI happens assuming that someone bought it? Nah, nevermind Roll Eyes.
2578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to reinvest into ETH? on: July 20, 2018, 12:21:47 PM
As we can see, Eth is not in good shape right now (I mean not bad but not also good at the same time) which supposed to be the opposite happened since btc is on the bullish run currently. I don't also know why this scenario is happening but instead of feeling down why don't we take this opportunity to buy eth even more, hold it and then sell when it skyrockets.

I still do believe in eth, let's just wait for the upcoming couple of weeks and let's hope it regains its good momentum sooner Smiley.
2579  Economy / Economics / Re: Confirmed, bull run begins now, what expectations? on: July 20, 2018, 09:32:58 AM
Confirmed? What are your basis regarding this? But anyway, I like your optimistic attitude towards btc's current price Smiley. I really hope also that bearish days are now finally over and now is the start of bullish run for btc.
Nearly one billion dollars has entered bitcoin today according to cryptonic news item.
Oh this is a great! (I think it would be much better if you include the link of the news that you've read). It seems that the whales are the main responsible for the drastic increasing of btc's price, maybe they are now starting to hoard coins for them to earn more when the -Ber Months come.
This week has seen btc doing very well and all are excited.I know most people have individual plans for a moment like this, let's hear yours.

Hmm honestly I don't have any plans right now except from hodling. Maybe there's a chance that I would sell a little bit amount of coins for buying a new gadget but this is not yet confirmed Grin.
2580  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I LOVE WHAT I'M BECOMING IN THE BITCOIN WORLD!!!!!!! on: July 20, 2018, 04:39:22 AM
this man has bought a Lambo with his bitcoin investment.

This whole quote made me believe that you fabricated a story.
Yeah! It sounds really hard to attain IMO but still not impossible especially when you are not just an ordinary bitcoin earner — maybe being a daytrader or a miner Smiley.
Looking at your post history I did not find anything that you contributed anything in Development and Technical spec and you are calling yourself qualified to start a crypto school?

I agree with you. Taking the responsibilty of being a teacher in this field means that you should have a good background in all aspects of it. You should know not only the "what is bitcoin?" stuffs but also its deeper technicalities. Nevertheless, I appreciate your willingness to enlighten others about blockchain technology. To be honest, you are not yet prepared for becoming an expert teacher but don't stop. You can still inspire and encourage others through your own simple ways.

Are you planning to start a bounty school ? Any way , your whole story is fabricated.
We're still not so sure about that, maybe you're right or maybe wrong Grin.
