Ich verstehe nicht ganz, wie LBTC Angebote in Deutschland zulassen kann, wenn ganz klar ist, dass es sich um verschleierte IPs handeln muss.. Es wird ja kaum jemand aus einem Nachbarland dann in Deutschland eine Anzeige schalten um dann dort hinzufahren für den Trade.

I'm thinking ~$10m market cap initially, perhaps falling to $5m but I don't see it going much more below that. After that, the sky's the limit really. Absolute worst case scenario we see a market cap between $1m and $2m temporarily, but no way we are going below $1m market cap unless there is a catastrophic failure.
It's getting close to the $1MM boundary, has there been any catastrophes, or is it just whales keeping the price down so they can buy more? They shoveled 43.3 BTC into getting this below 64 sat, so for 30~40 sat this is a sure thing to grab a ton, or two. Since the CRAVE dump is over and out, I do exspect more dumping amunitions are still on stock. Yes, buy wall at 62 seems most probably to be not high enough. If you do not like this, simply add another brick on it's top rim. edit: wall just jumped up +2sat to elude 10% "small fry" sedimenting in front of it. So acknowledged, Wales try to push down and accumulate for a pump. |

Da es nicht genug sinnvolle Coinentwicklungen gibt, um dein Portfolio mit 30 Positionen zu besiedeln, hast du wahrscheinlich 30-4=26 Shitcoins dazwischen. Es gibt nur 4 Projekte da draussen, die auch nur einen *Bleep* wert sind. Der Rest ist ... think URO. |

As you quoted, this is based on a completely desktop-statistical methodology relying on the assumptions that XMR distribution is a market phenomenon. For pre/insta/nonmineable coins this is not at all true. I believe it is true for XMR since I know its history.
Top 3 miningpools should be able to estimate number of wallets beeing in existance, seen Dwarf made a good job employing cookies to group miner's wallets, if they take network hashrate in relation to their own rate that gives you total number of miner's wallets. Somehow this intersects with probably more precise numbers obtainable from inside Poloniex. Uncertainity on who is separating the mining from trading remains. But pure hodler who mine to not sell now (or tomorrow), are a very rare species. Their wallets would appear as beeing single additional entities. At least there you get people with short time involvement added, who never bothered to even install the software. Unkommon behavier if you compare with cryptocoin involvement motivations, those count for probable new adopters. Your completely desktop-statistical methodology relies on some inputs which are precisely known, like coins in existance. Number of wallets would add solidity to these data. I believe if one knows market dynamics, total supply, and number people involved this models reality with some decent accuracy. |

It's the same security model that Ripple was initially advertised to have, but which didn't actually work in practice. The mechanism and conditions appear to be slightly different, and the requirements actually (somewhat) defined, but the fundamental concern remains.
I pointed out back in 2013 that the result of the OpenCoin Ripple model would either result in centralization or a total failure of consensus; and pushed them to formalize their requirements and to specify a procedure that might actually cause them to be met. They didn't. When Ripple was deployed the outcome was centralization, and when they repeated the experiment with Stellar the system spontaneously failed.
Just as with ripple back in 2013 the new Stellar proposal is unable to answer the basic questions about how we can know or guarantee anything about the security of the system. Mazieres and Vitalik describe it as leaving it up to the market and think it will work out. I think it would better be described as leaving security up to chance. And the chances don't look good: leaving it up to the users to ensure a safe and decentralized topology has already failed in practice with a highly similar system _twice_.
I pay attention to these things because I hope to see useful things invented and deployed (for their own sake, and so I can use them in my own project); I also pay attention because I'm concerned about blow-back. _Currently_ people are free to do what they want, here there is tremendous information asymmetry and a host of incentives which are at odds with the public interest (including the fact that the few people like me who can clearly see the problems, have every incentive to say nothing at all; much less enough to be anything but a reed in the wind against a massively funded PR effort); and these efforts raise problems across several domains of law. The result may well be some crazy efforts to regulate the space as a result, which would harm everyone.

Vorsicht! Laut http://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/volume/24-hour/ macht Cointrader.net auf Platz 30 etwa $ 17,189 Tagesumsatz im Bitcoinhandel, und handelt sonst nichts. Für "10,000 traders" ist das echt wenig Umsatz. Das schafft auch einer, der hundert mal am Tag 200,- verschiebt. Oder die handeln alle am Tag nur einsfuffzig, sind aber ansonsten superaktiv. Deren Kundenzahlen sind gefaked. Deren Umsatzzahlen sind echt, weil jemand der die faked nicht so niedrig aufbauschen würde. Das war jetzt superschnelles Nachschauen. Es ist leicht irgendwelche Zahlen zu bekommen. Durchaus schwieriger, belastbares Datenmaterial zu bekommen. Eine etwas umfangreichere Exceltabelle mit Tradevolumen nach Tagen wäre wünschenswert. Konto war gedeckt, habe aber mit der Kreditkarte (Kreditlimit auch nicht ausgereizt) kein Geld bekommen. Daraufhin die Aussage des Kundenberaters: "Wir sehen es nicht ein für Kunden wie Ihnen die Automaten zu befüllen!". Weiß zwar nicht, warum ich ein "Kunde wie Ihnen" gewesen bin, aber damit wurde die Sparkasse dann auch direkt zu meiner Ex-Bank. Hab noch im Beratungsgespräch alles gekündigt und mir andere Banken gesucht. Es gibt einige Entwicklungen da draußen im Bankwesen die mit meinen Vorstellungen wie man Leute behandeln darf nicht mehr im Einklang stehen. Da war heute mal wieder die Bank of Cyprus, Griechenland und Russen die vor der Tür stehen in den Nachrichten. So geht es nicht! Fidor Bank habe ich mir schon ausgeguckt als technisch versierteres Institut, Sparkasse halte ich für strukturell eher in der Vergangenheit verwurzelt aber okay. Ackermann's Institut geht gar nicht, Commerzbank fällt in die gleiche Schublade. Gerettet werden müssen und Kunden anpöbeln geht gar nicht. Ein Fork ist später geplant um z.b. auch Multisig einzubauen, aber das ist seit Monaten geplant. Komischerweise passiert sowas wenn Bytecoin nach 8 Monaten mal wieder aktiv wird...  PS: Tradet bloß nicht auf Hitbtc. Na dann oute ich mich mal auch als Monerohodler. War eh klar. Also für OpenBasar oder DM allgemein ist Multisig ja ein "Muss", und der Fork wird eine Markterschütterung die sich überstehen lässt. Kommt ja immer auf den Grund und die Perspektive an. I want to generate an address, to which it's highly improbable anyone will have the private key. EDIT: Counterparty created such a BTC address back in the days of their launch Couldn't you still take the same advice I gave but then take whatever address was given and replace the first 10-15 characters with something along the lines of "xxxxxmoneroxxxxx", then again, the viewkey would no longer work so you wouldn't be able to view it anyway. Interesting. Vandalay23, if you create a "burn address" and publish the viewkey of it, as GingerAle suggested, and built some empire on these foundations, people can trust those fundations since the viewkey allows watching ballances sneaking out of that address. They could trust even for the spendkey beeing deleted, however that would be naive. Honestly, looks like all the groundwork has been laid for the Grand Finale - The GUI. And it all fell into place so quickly, relatively speaking.Once we have a true "Killer App" GUI out (with the merchant tools too I believe), I think then we will know where Monero is going. Though recent movements hint... up.  Well, Bytecoin announcing a GUI release this week might have worked miracles. Maybe we can move them into announcing some OpenBazar clone, to speed it up over there at Dwarfpool |
