2561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I can't wait until I can pay using bitcoin at the supermarket on: September 27, 2020, 07:49:01 PM
Btw I don't understand at all what kind of payments users usually mean. If you mean that you'll top up your XAPO balance (for example) and then pay with their card automatically, yeah, it's quick and optimal option but it's very annoying if you plan to go in a supermarket when there are a lot of peoples and queues and then login into your wallet and do payment manually. It will significantly more time if done traditionally but things can be improved if they add an additional screen to show address barcode but again, what happens if user sends with low fee transaction? In this case supermarkets may need a system that will check what's current average tx fee and suggest you a fee to set manually on the screen.
2562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Miami Dade to open Casinos and Restaurants for the third time. on: September 27, 2020, 06:32:09 PM
In my city in the subway all the people are without face masks! And in rush hour this huge number of people have no social distance... And if you believe the statistics, COVID get 200-250 people per day!
That's why I don't think that at the opening of the casino the probability of getting COVID will be more than in the subway!

Even here that is the case. Now it is known to everyone that the younger people are very unlikely to get sick from COVID 19. The mortality rate is less than 1 in 1000 for under-30 age group. That may be one of the reasons why some people are so careless about following the precautions. But even for younger people, it is not 100% safe to roam around like this. The fatality rate may be just 0.1%, but you never know when your luck runs out.
You never know what happens to you even in some seconds, a lot of people die because of unexpected car accidents, something dropped from buildings and etc. Also every medication, even aspirin, ibuprofen has more than 0.1% of sever reaction. When you take care of your teeth with your dentist, there is still possibility that you may experience anaphylaxis during local anesthesia despite the fact that test didn't show any allergic reaction.

It's just that people have to take care of each other, viruses were with us everytime but personally I think we have to be more cautious during winter time. Otherwise people can't limit their life forever.

Subways and transports in overall are the number one threat in this case. If people don't protect recommendations there, then it has 0 idea to protect somewhere else. Personally I spent my summer in a beautiful city on the beach and cmon, no one, nowhere was wearing masks and what's curious? Corona virus infected statistics increased after 1 months. Isn't this curious? Personally I don't believe in these numbers, it's one of the easiest thing to fake them.

And about casinos... This business is something that really cares about things because of it's very high profitability and these places are ones who will seriously protect all guides. There is very strict control on face masks and etc in Evolution Gamings studios. If you just take off mask without a reason, they will left the job.
2563  Other / Meta / Re: Reduced forum activity on: September 27, 2020, 10:34:14 AM
We're certainly very far from the 2017 levels, there's probably fewer bounties and stuff now too to keep people here.
There are more than enough bounties there but they are not enough worthy to join. Very few bounties hit listing nowadays and even if they get listed, the payment is too low. This has been the regular scenerio of bounty since late 2018 which can be a reason of getting activity reduced.
Regarding quality, I think very few people are here with the motivation of learning about bitcoin, crypto, building business on crypto etc. Most people are motivated with the financial gain. That's why there is lack if quality discussion.
Most people are motivated with financial gains because this forum gives you a possibility of that and there are a lot of people from poor countries and find bitcointalk as a great way of earning money, you post from home, manage your time and get money. We can't blame them because forum gives them this possibility and it's a part of freedom too.

There is reduces forum activity because it's not 2017 when mining still was a new thing for people and almost everyone was looking for asic miners, GPUs and so on. Also 2017 was the time when bitcoin had unbelievable rise in price and in overall, 2017 was the best and peak time of bitcoin. A lot of things have happened after that like implementation of KYC documents, mining turned into commercial business (check shady behaviors of Bitmain), media doesn't talk about bitcoin and crypto as it was talking in past, a lot of people bought bitcoin during it's peak price and lost a lot of money and lost hope in it. There are still many things to write but I personally really miss 2017 year, it was the greatest time.
2564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Question to Crypto users about its security on: September 24, 2020, 10:14:29 PM
Crypto is praised as currency of future, 100% secured way of transaction. my question is how?

-If you have money in bank or invested in stock or somewhere else regulated by government and you dies, bank/stock exchange will contact the nominee when the account goes inactive. but if a person who hold crypto dies, nobody will know about this so the money is lost forever. if the person decides to share the crypto details with someone then its not really a "secured" currency.

-If someone stole money from your bank/stock/credit card account, it can be tracked where the money went and can be recovered by filing complaint with your bank or authorities. but if somone steal your crypto there is no way to get the crypto back.

So how is this a currency of future, did anyone asked these question before?
Btw this question was asked to Ognasty and he said that he had plan about it, would be glad if he posts here too.
Btw crypto wasn't meant for that. Main idea behind it was to get rid of any 3rd party services. It has it's pros and cons like everything. Bitcoin offers control on your funds, what's more secure than this? Bank controls your account, they can freeze it at any time but no one can freeze your bitcoin account so you have to consider this too. Also it offers better anonimity than traditional banking.
I wouldn't blame bitcoin, it's a great thing and invention.
2565  Economy / Gambling / Re: Chips.gg |🎰 1000+ Slots |🎤 Live Casino |🎲 1% House Edge Dice |🏦 The Vault on: September 24, 2020, 08:08:44 PM
I haven't seen a fully established casino with well designed ANN thread for a long time, welcome to the bitcointalk.
Seems pretty good casino from a first view but why did you choose that domain name? .gg?

You were talking so well on Evolution Gaming I was amazed at some point that I was unable to find NetEnt slots on your website (NetEnt is top slots provider and as for now owned by Evolution Gaming).

Just one suggestion: On smartphones it's very hard to understand where to see games categories as there is only one bar titled Home. If you scroll down, slots are shown endlessly.
2566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What part will the Lightning Network play in the upcoming bull run? on: September 24, 2020, 06:50:21 PM
Lighting network isn't really adopted by most bitcoin related services companies, including trading websotes and places where there is high volume of transactions. What gives me some hope is that if for example there will be some contract between top exchanges and wallets like free or discounted instant transactions without actual transaction on blockchain (for example you can send btc for free from xapo to xapo and transaction is done inside without actually moving bitcoins). This will help us to decrease number of transactions. At the same time in some places lighting network is implemented... At least we are more prepared in this case if something similar may happen because past experience was terrible and that was one of the reason of creating BCH and etc.
2567  Economy / Economics / Re: Food prices doubled this year on: September 24, 2020, 06:05:05 PM
When i have time i go to local market to check prices

Vegetable prices doubled
Fruit prices doubled
Meat prices around 30% increase
Grain products around 20% increase
...

And my country  is a exporter of food products

How is it in your country ? Same ?

----------------------

My country is Romania

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-04-10/food-supply-fears-are-growing-as-romania-bans-grain-exports

We tried to ban exports of grain ,but stupid EU intervened...
Happens the same in my country and guess what's even worse here? National currency losts it's value a lot and USD is getting stronger and stronger here while around the world people complain how bad USD will end up becuse of money printing and etc. Paradox, right? And this country is importer of almost everything. Prices are really doubled, snickers/cola become more expensive. Not only that but basic foods are very expensive right now and at the same official amount time min necessary money has declined in this situation.

If you guys have any ideas of other types of giveaways/contests you want to see us launch, feel free to let us know  Smiley
Usually that's the job of Casino marketing manager / Project campaign manager but if you ask us, the community, then ok, that's great!

It will be great if you add something like free spins on dice (free dice rolls). Idk if you have levels like Bronze, Silver, Gold and etc where there are certain achievements/rank and reward for it but if you don't have, then I suggest to add it. After that, it will be great if for example Bronze user becomes silver and opens chests where he/she gets free 0.0001 btc dice rolls or something similar.

Also it will be good if you offer wagering contests with money prize and free dice rolls like casinos do on slots promotion.

Why are FJ, Bitcasino and 1xbit considered as blockchain gaming platforms? (I mean article included in your last post). What does blockchain gaming platform means? A lot of people use term Blockchain in everything and personally I don't find the idea behind it except to make something look more unique and innovative. And idk how 1xbit had success during lockdown, I amn't in touch with them in other casino products but from personal, job experience, their live casino table is always dead (yeah, they have 1 table in evolution gaming's studio). So, I hugely doubt they succeed + add the fact that they have very bad reputation online. And to be fair, most of gamblers who played on their live tables did this because of the nice looking girl dealers.

Otherwise, wish you good luck. Personally, I would change the theme and make images smaller.
2570  Economy / Economics / Re: UK’s economy will lose a good amount of money if football clubs shut. on: September 24, 2020, 04:18:21 PM
I love premier league!
And I really hate when someone says: why do you care about finances? Health is more improtant. For me, it sounds very stupid and dumb. Your wealth defines your health right now. Stucked economics = fall of everything. No work = creating of nothing. Food won't come out of thin air.
Fans must be allowed to be back on stadiums if we want to keep football and if we don't want to lose the possibility of seeing high performance of talented footballers.
2571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone know a dice game that is actually fair? on: September 24, 2020, 03:00:50 PM
Games aren't created and implemented in casino like: Hey, this game sounds pretty good, let's create it. There is math behind every game. Casino isn't a charity or donator to help poor people to make money. It offers services, a place where you can play. Amount of money is your choice, whether it will be some bucks or even lower or serious amount of money. You are an adult who can find difference between 0.001 and 1 usd or bitcoin. You can analyze how much to bet and how much can you afford.

If you can't beat the house it doesn't mean that game isn't actually fair. You can't beat house anyway, only luck can help you.
2572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should bitcoin be introduced into the educational sectors on: September 24, 2020, 02:29:14 PM
Bitcoin should be introduced in Universities on business and economics faculties, this is very necessary. Even lectors have no idea about cryptocuurrencies or if they have, in 99 cases they say just rumors that they have heard like: crypto is used for money laundering, in black markets and all of the bad stuff is done via bitcoin. When I hear this kind of proposals from people, I have serious debate with them.
So, in universities it must be really included in programs, it's very necessary for upcoming managers, business administrators, economists and etc.
2573  Economy / Reputation / Re: 🏆 Crypto Community Award - Discussion on: September 23, 2020, 11:34:39 PM
It can be fun by the way, also reminds me April Fools' Day on bitcointalk when everyone gets some unique surprise. It's a good idea for having extra fun but at the same time will turn somebody's brain to think who deserves what among so many members.
Btw what happens if someone doesn't want to wear that Crypto Community Award? Or doesn't want to be even nominated?

But the main problem right now is if theymos implememt the idea here? Or pray o. new forum for new features? He may do this on April Fools' Day, both of it.
2574  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin dont pay our billls we need passive income on: September 23, 2020, 10:49:30 PM
Noone will ever pay your bills and freebies make people lazy. A lot of people dream about billion and jobless life but no one does things that being a billionaire requires. It's easy to dream, we are free in fantazies.

Freebies must be done/offered in situations that needs significant and quick fix, for example, air pollution by transport, less fees on GYMs for healthy society, absolutely free education for very talanted persons, fund startups, innovative ideas and etc.

And I still don't understand what bitcoin has to do there, it can't feed you itself, nor will it ever pay your bills.
2575  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin transaction fees be too high in the future? on: September 23, 2020, 04:34:21 PM
My prediction is that bitcoin fees won't be that much high in near future because we learnt something from past experience, we implemented lighting network, there are more comfortable mechanisms made from bitcoin service  providers that includes zero transaction fees on transactions between certain service provider users, for example you can send bitcoins from your xapo wallet to recipient's xapo wallet without fees. Combination of different implementations and others will help us to get rid of immersive bitcoin transaction fees, at least we are more and well prepared right now.
2576  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun-Most trusted & coolest looking provably fair blackjack in Market on: September 23, 2020, 02:52:27 PM
I came with idea about blackjack multiplayer. If you know popular facebook game - World Poker Club. There you collect coins that you can use to buy things or become a dealer. It's similar of auction system. For example, user goes on dealer's position with 100 coins (not money) and there is one coin spent in every 20 second. He/she will be a dealer while the coin lasts but at the same time other person can enter with 120 coin and become a dealer. There should be 3 tiers and in this case, our ex first dealer goes on second position and gains less profit from bankroll.

I hope you may understand the point, check that game for better...
2577  Economy / Economics / Re: Pandemic pushed the US into recession- now official , analysis on: September 23, 2020, 02:16:56 PM
I can't ignore the fact that in some countries USD is really skyrocketing despite the fact that every article indicates how bad USD will end up. Still, people in some countries stick with USD very much. For example, in Republic Of Georgia, their national currency is falling seriously and USD rises despite the fact that National Bank sold solid amount of reserves even in current situation. Looks and sounds very curious for me.

In this country people love USD so much that even if it falls worldwide, they'll still stick with it I guess.
Situation is going worse, I wouldn't say that benefits outweight the cons because we didn't see any benefit, people are still infected and this number rises, it's impossible to control it and 3 months stop of economics ruined everything.
2578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When we think that crypto is being used by criminals to move tons of money on: September 22, 2020, 10:27:40 PM
Offshores and etc blabla things are used to launder money and banks are a part of it, it looks like legitimate way to launder money. Curious, yeah? Bitcoin is mostly considered as a currency used by criminals because of it's mostly anonymous and cryptographic nature. This gives them a reason to state that but at the same time it's truth at some point. The difference is that banks are used by elite launderers while cryptos are sometimes used by average Joes.

And sandly, UK is one of the easiest place to launch scam/ponzi scheme with fiat but no, still bitcoin is blamed instead of peoples' brains.
2579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why has no-one done a crypto Ebay? on: September 22, 2020, 08:25:08 PM
I'm sick of the fees on Ebay it's become totally unprofitable for some items due to the massive fees. I use Facebook marketplace but that's more for local sales.

With crypto Ebay you could have near zero fees and have a decentralized marketplace model. I know there are things on TOR etc, but I just wouldn't trust it tbh..
Why do you think that you could have near zero fees? Do you really think that marketplace won't set fees despite the fact that it uses cryptocurrencies? Marketplace is looking for profit, check how much profit does ebay makes and then you'll understand Ebay loves billions, green billions.

Crypto version of Ebay will be very hard to create and will require enormous amount of money. You have to attract buyers/sellers, increase demand/traffic, hire developers, customer supports, project managers and etc. Crypto doesn't have that much demand and one similar step from Ebay means your business is most likely gone. So, believe me, there won't be serious crypto analogue of Ebay, at least right now. In future, I don't know.
2580  Economy / Economics / Re: How freelancing websites killed design and developement bussinesses ... on: September 22, 2020, 07:38:35 PM
Web developers are asking for huge amount of money for tiny html/css edits. Their prices aren't fair and now they blame freelancers from all over the world because Indian guy charges 20$ instead of 600$ and they are bad, ruining their "profitable" business.

Do you ever take into account the cost of living in the respective countries? Web devs living in the US/EU ask for considerable amounts because that's the only way they can live in their society where cost of living is very high, this without taking in account the fact that when a dev charges 600$, he doesn't get 600$ in his pockets, there is taxes and a shitload of other expenses; ofcourse they are going to call devs from countries where cost of living is low "bad" because they are breaking the market by charging peanuts for their service...
Apple manufactures Iphone in China because it's cheap to produce in this country. This isn't a business that would work in USA cause even if that happened, price would be hugely high. So, I don't care how much money they need for their daily living when you can get the same quality product in 10x less price. I've got a very professional website on wordpress for 200$ that would cost min 5000$ in US/EU if we consider it's functions, features and etc.

If editing a CSS file was that easy without breaking everything, then the client should do it himself/herself.
It's one of the most easiest thing, believe me. It's super easy to learn html/css, at least was for me but it isn't a thing that I am interested in.
