Wow, I am very amazed by the actions that were taken by them. They did crazy stuff (in a good way) and somehow, usually there are times when such thing succeed. But in any way that's a very risky move because USD is like a global currency, if anything goes down with it, everyone goes down but at the same time bitcoin is a very risky currency too, it can go down a lot in a matter of seconds and not rise for months but at the same time it can skyrocket. The bogo deal of bitcoin is that it can go doen but can rise without limits.
1642  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 'Know Bitcoin' app is live! on: August 21, 2020, 09:30:17 PM
Sorry, I can't download it because of my IOS, so better to think about developing this app for apple products (oh it costs a lot).
Appreciate the effort that you put into it but the app needs a lot of improvement and first of all, start with UI (What attracts you at first? Appearance).
I had the same idea in past and I think it will be really good to release it, will write about it in some days/weeks. I think community should make such APP but more professional and elegant and these content should be available in different languages. It also mustn't be only information but quizzes, tests and some entertainment.

You could also use bitcoin wiki because content is under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0
1643  Other / Meta / Re: Is there anything like a ban notice on: August 20, 2020, 08:15:14 PM
Not written in proper English but understood the point of your post.
There was one accident that absolutely suits to your post and 100% answers to your question. User Lone Shark was actively offering landing service on bitcointalk but after some time someone caught him and was permanently banned because of copy/pasting posts but ban was remove by theymos because of his loan service.
If you are asking whether someone may notify/warn you before ban, then - no, it comes as a suprise.

Also if such thing happened in past, it doesn't mean that same may happen in future. Don't go against the rules, if you can't protect them, then why to be there?

You can see his profile here and check threads created by him and one red trust where you'll see things in more details: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=909705
1644  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun-Most trusted & coolest looking provably fair blackjack in Market on: August 20, 2020, 07:30:42 PM
That is the thing that makes blackjack.fun the best blackjack website in the world, they have seen the problem, they have contacted back and they will try to rework and fix the issue. You know what other places do? There are two types, one of them just ignores it for the longest time and maaaaybe fix it one day, or even wait until there is a new V2 and fix it there, the other people just get the feedback, tell you nothing, work on it and fix it and let you know when they fix it, meanwhile you have no idea from the feedback to fix if they are working on it or not so you just wonder if it is a place to actually go play.

Blackjack.fun is not like that, they are always here and they always talk about what they are doing, like the multiplayer and so forth, you know EXACTLY what they are working on.
Believe me, there are a lot of services that actively read and analyze feedbacks and try hard to work in it and in this case I mean gambling industry, both, casinos and suppliers (i.e. slot providers, live casino suppliers and so on).
But mostly what makes blackjack.fun highly prominent is that they read every advice that's given here and boom, second day you wake up and what you posted in this thread is already changed/implemented on website.

DarkDays
Withdrawals are instant as far as I remember, withdrew for 2 times and got my bitcoins quickly.
Oh, there isn't any built-in exchange on their website, hope it will be implemented soon.
1645  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling.org Official Thread - Trusted Online Gambling Sites Since 1996! on: August 18, 2020, 07:54:26 PM
What's new becomes old and what's old becomes new again.
You had to say: Everything new is well-forgotten old. Cheesy

At first there was poker.com and now gambling.org ? Hmm, so great domain owners are interested in crypto business but... Btw any proofs that website is yours? I checked it and there isn't bitcoin/crypto mentioned anywhere, also there isn't a list of crypto casinos, except bitstarz.com that's mixed and in overall you include real money casinos.

Logo is okey, not good, not bad, just in the middle. It reminds me pokerstars because of that icon in the middle of word "g".
And do you own gamblersanonymous.org too? Would love to hear from you.
1646  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: "Signature Campaign" does work for marketing? on: August 18, 2020, 06:56:49 PM
they do work , but there are too many variables to take into account
the main problem - it is very costly and for a website without a proper bankroll / marketing funds it could be better to use other forms of marketing
don't expect a flood of gamblers waving their money from the get go ,  signature campaigns are more than that:
backlinks , exposure , proof of funds of sorts etc.
and certainly , do monitor the effects of the campaign if you launch it
Signature campaigns and marketing alone can't boost number of gamblers/players if they don't like your product. Marketing and in our case signature campaign, helps business owners to reach to potential customers, as much as possible. Design of sig campaign, participants of sig campaign and business model (whether gambling, exchange or something other) affects the number of impressions.

Did 90 from 100 clicked on signature and came into your website? Congrats, along with possible 1-2 misclick, a lot of users were interested. Didn't they registered/visit your website again? Then seems there is something wrong with product or with both, product and what text on signature promises.

There are a lot of details that have huge influence on marketing. You have to analyze each of them and improve your weak points in order to achieve success.

And oh, I already answered that campaigns work and there are great examples, both, past and current.

Jet Cash
Usually thread authors (OPs) post images for introduction in ANN threads but of course there are other cases too (for example, promotions, statistics, etc).

When someone quotes the same image, it doesn't increase load time / data usage but seems to be really boring.

NavI_027
Idea behind this procedures is to resize image in order to get smaller image that as a result is smaller in size (MBs/KBs). And then compress after that to get even smaller in size.

LoyceV
Your picture described everything perfectly:
PNG - Portable Network Graphics
JPG  / JPEG - Joint Photographic Experts Group

So, long story short, PNG = higher quality images than JPG but is higher in size too because of this reason.
Advantege of PNG over JPG is that sometimes we need images with transparent background (for example, logos).

Also, I want to mention WEBP since I included it in topic. This new image format was created especially for web. WEBP offers lossless compression of images and higher quality at the same time. Idea behind WEBP was to make load of images faster and efficient.

bob123
Nothing can be compressed without losing quality but this compression allows you to reduce size while making it almost impossible for eye to detect the difference between two.

P.S. There are two benefits of this compression. Less data when using mobile network and less load time of images, as a result faster and better performance on every device. Personally, I prefer to see thread loaded in 3 seconds rather than in 7 seconds.
1649  Other / Meta / Make this forum a better place - part 1 on: August 06, 2020, 11:07:23 PM
Hello guys!
As I see, sometimes people post images in threads and sometimes they open threads with a lot of images. As you know, it makes load time a little bit slow because images are high in size. To reduce the load time and make things more comfortable for everyone, I think it will be better if all of us compress images, this will save space and time and isn't hard.

1. For example, let's see the size of this Image 1 - Seems to be 171.8 KB. Normal but how far can we compress it?

2. First of all, compress JPG/PNG images without losing quality by using TinyJPG

As we see, we have 74% reduction in image size without losing quality and got 44.5 KB in size.

3. Can we compress it even further? Yes but for this we need to convert image into webp and compress in this format. You can't upload webp images on imgur, so have to use another image upload website.
For highest compress, we can use compress-or-die.

So, go here, click on select a file, then choose your image and upload. Then, you'll get window with settings for your image where you can change compression percentage and so on, but it automatically sets quality on 75%, so let's see the result (btw I resized the image):

I guess there shouldn't be any noticable difference on 85% compression, btw you can try it to see results yourself and do the same in future on this forum to help those who use mobile data to save network Cheesy

Useful links together:
1. JPG/PNG only compression: https://tinyjpg.com/
2. Convert JPG/PNG and compresses into webp: https://compress-or-die.com/webp
3. GIF compression: https://compress-or-die.com/webp
4. Image resize: https://resizeimage.net/
Btw, good luck guys!

Will update the list in near future.
1650  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] FortuneJack.com | 4-Day Dice Signature Campaign - Full Members & Up on: August 05, 2020, 10:45:07 PM
I confirm the payment received here as well. Thanks FortuneJack.

But what about that 'minimum withdrawal amount' issue? Where is the logic to pay campaign participants and then locking funds on your platform? That was not part of the deal.
If we have to gamble and lose part of the amount, fine. But it is not fair to require additional deposit just so we can withdraw the amount earned.

This is just the default setting on everyone. Don't worry, no one from FJ will ever ask you to gamble in order to collect higher than 0.004 bitcoin for withdrawal. I guess, Hhampuz will report this issue and participants will be able to withdraw without any problem.
1651  Economy / Gambling / Re: Blackjack.fun-Most trusted & coolest looking provably fair blackjack in Market on: August 03, 2020, 04:34:52 PM
First of all, live blackjacks are played with 8 decks and there is cutting card put in the middle and more likely you only play with 4 deck. Once shoe is unready, this 4 deck is shuffled with another 4 deck that wasn't used in game. There is possibility that shuffle quality won't be high and it may end up like it may be possible for players to count cards but in this case scanner counts all cards and shows the shuffle quality of each shoe. If it's lower than, for example 80-90% or something like this, then whole game is cancelled and letter goes to casino department / players from live blackjack supplier. Also, not only that, every player is monitored and if it seems like someone wins and wins a lot, then a lot of things are checked by risk analyst that includes shuffle quality, dealer's live performance and so on.

Also want to add that once a day, all cards are changed on all table for further security and for overall game performance (old cards are bad in this case).
You can do whatever security you want, but if the player wants to cheat, he will try to cheat, it will be casinos job to catch the way you explained, but its their responsibility so the ball is on their court, if the casino misses, the player will basically cheat the system, if the casino catches, then player is caught and can't do it anymore.

I am not saying the system doesn't work, I am just saying that its a risk, you have to be on your toes as casino and if you are not careful and if you do not do your due diligence with the player well, you may get some cheater out of your hands and he could withdraw until you figure it out. Hence what I am saying is, obviously most cheaters will be caught, but 100% catch rate is a very difficult thing to handle.
Seems you didn't understand at all meaning of my post. Player can't cheat in live casino, that's impossible if we don't mean bugs but in any way, that attempt is meaningless. The only risk that's involved here besides what's alredy mentioned, is that dealer/shuffler may know player and will try to make him/her win. This can be done by seeing hidden card and then telling player by mimics or etc whether they'll win or not.
There was even one accident in Riga when shuffler had camera on his shirt and it was like he could record video from and was shuffling in a way where it was possible for camera to catch the cards and make player understand what cards they were, as a result, player won a lot. But as I told you, there is constant monitoring of everything, everywhere and this was fixed pretty soon. There are floor supervisors for that, shuffler team leaders, risk analysts, customer supports, service managers, schedulers and etc that monitor all of these.

Risks to cheat from employees are minimal and in case, fixed very quickly. On another hand, player can't cheat on his own.

I remember theymos was dreaming about: We should build a seastead. Probably, the mean idea behind seastead was that governments don't sell parts on the sea unlikely lands. Idk if he still dreams about that, more likely, yes and he may wait for futher rise of bitcoin's price. I think if bitcoin really reaches 100k or something like this, theymos will truly think about this and forum funds may be used for that?

blackjack.fun
Really nice logo, liked it very much but to my mind you don't need a landing page where after clicking on it users go on actual page. Just leave it like it was before.

Btw what about to implement something that will help people to insure themselves from misclick? For example create tables where you have to cancel hit/stand option in 3 seconds once you click on it and then chage your decision and include tables where you just click on hit/stand and you can't reverse it. Tables where users can insure from misclick and tables where misclick doesn't matter and only speed is major priority.

Also, once again I strongly suggest you to add voices when I click on split, stand, hit. Will be great if you add advice option like: 20 on your hand, what about to stand? Something like this like in live casinos.
1655  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: July 31, 2020, 07:15:56 PM
We all hate covid19 yet you can always create new promotions FJ and you always make it as good as possible to us.

FortuneJack always come up with some incredible promotions and closing Invincible Jackmate will not matter much. What's unique with FJ is that they come up with the campaigns for their new promotions. Recently they launched a promotion for their provably fair Dice game in the form of FortuneJack.com | 4-Day Dice Signature Campaign - Full Members & Up and FortuneJack.com | New Dice Review - Get paid $50!
And I wonder what's gonna be the new one after this Dice Campaign for it is said only a 4day Campaign, they're surely fast at giving new features/games/promos,...
Only few days are being considered as vacant. No doubt on why there are many gamblers are attracted to FJ.

(waiting for those reviews)
It is vacation in most of the countries. Maybe for that purpose the campaign length might have been shortened for the immediate launch of the new dice game. FortuneJack already have good trust, so it'll easily reach more number of gamblers in a short time.
First of all, there isn't vacation in the country they are based on. Secondly, the reason why campaign is run for 4 days is that if you clicked on link that's in signature, you would understand that they have four new dice races. Each race each day with the price pool of 1500 on each one. So, the campaign and the promotion ends today.
At the same time, I want to mention that this campaign is different from previous one (higher rates and much more participants but shorter date) and seems they are testing things/strategies in btctalk marketing at the same time.
1656  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will touch the high price in 2020? on: July 31, 2020, 06:57:07 PM
We can't exclude any version there cause we have a lot of arguments on both side. Personally I think it will reach it's all time high and even surpass at the end of 2020 or in the begining of 2021, like it happened previously.
At the same time we don't have to forget that bitcoin kept regular 9k price during this pandemic and despite the fact of a lot of pessimistic predictions and expectations, I would say that bitcoin rised.

If we consider what I mentioned above and add another fact that bitcoin hit 11k right now (doesn't mean much but still...) and people have positive feelings in overall because of past experience from previous halving, I think this will happen and bitcoin will rise like phoenix.
1657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should there be any age limit of Gambling? on: July 31, 2020, 03:12:34 PM
The problem is that with current regulations it's impossible to control whether person that plays on website is adult or not, it's especially impossible in crypto casinos since people prefer to play there in order to avoid KYC documentations and similar procedures.
The only real solve of this problem would be if casinos will ask you for facial verification on daily login. Otherwise, teens tend to get IDs, passports of their mother/father and create account that way, then use their credit card to withdraw money, it's easy to lie, you may ask something like this: My friend needs to withdraw money and he doesn't have card so asked me for help. Or reasons can br endless.

Without doubt, none restriction will ever work, especially age restriction in this case but at least it reduces a potential number of teen gamblers because of fear and etc.
1658  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: "Signature Campaign" does work for marketing? on: July 31, 2020, 09:22:53 AM
~snip~

Thank you for your historical context explain, we need this knowledge...
Are there other marketing channels here?

Of course there are but what's your aim? Do you want to spend as minimal budget as possible but get high results? Sorry but that's not so easily possible. Other marketing channels for you may be paid articles on different and popular crypto websites but in overall on most of such websites people are interested in crypto related news, not about gambling that much. You can also contact website owners that list bitcoin casinos and ask them to add your website or buy ads from them but still I recommend you to make bitcointalk your highest priority. That's how all started and what's how they succeed.
The websites that I provide are your competitors, check what pass did they walked and learn from their history, that's what everyone does.
1659  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why People Call Bitcoin Blockchain? on: July 30, 2020, 11:59:49 PM

What I want the forum to discuss is this:
I believe that the application of Blockchain cut across many industries such as healthcare, logistics, insurance, governement, education and so and so forth.
Why is the application of Blockchain to finance has this popularity than application of Blockchain to other sectors?
What do you think?

Simple because the application of the blockchain technology to other industries is very doubtful.

Blockchain is a very slow and heavy database. Immutability, Transparency and so on are not necessarily good for those industries you mentioned.

~snip~

Industries that he mentioned are: healthcare, logistics, insurance, governement and this list goes on. So do you really say that all the requirements that you wrote aren't necessary in this field?
Then let me tell you that blockchain adds an extra layer of protection to data that's stored and this is especially beneficial for services like these. Blockchain technologies are successfully implemented on land title registry in some countries and this isn't the place where governments plan to stop. In Brazil, as far as I remember they decided to use Blockchain technologies for newborn baby registry. In overall, it's great in such industries, where the transparency and accuracy of information matters and I think there are a lot of like them, especially medicine too.

And, blockchain is slow because of high security and decentralization, it takes a lot of time to process these.
1660  Economy / Economics / Re: Cash Is Trash on: July 30, 2020, 11:49:23 PM
First of all that phrase was said by this forum's members from ancient times but personally I don't think so.
On another hand, why do anyone thinks that cash is trash? No, cash isn't trash, it's great. Trash is the way governments manipulate with cash and believe me, same will apply to any currency they wish. Will they move on crypto? Then this cryptocurrency will be controlled by them and same regulations / control mechanisms will apply to them that we have right now on cash/fiat. Cryptocurrencies are just alternatives that give us possibility to have better self control on your money and higher privacy / other requirements that we can't get on cash/fiat.
