Ukraine shares many similarities with Russia, as an ex-Soviet country, there are many Russian-speakers. I've read that the Ukrainian government was putting immense pressure on Russian-speakers, while they were being treated differently, not sure how accurate that is. From what I'm aware of, Putin was expecting to be praised as a savior in Donetsk and Luhansk, but instead, he met resistance.
It's not very accurate. They made some laws to endorse using Ukrainian language because it was barely used even in media. But Russian speaking people aren't threated differently. For example, even during war mayor of Odessa or Kharkiv, Mykolaiv governor don't have problems to use Russian language. Or Zelensky, before becoming president, being popular comedian he always used Russian language in his performances. Or you can see experience from our Ukrainian folks:
I think and speak Russian, but that doesn't stop me from feeling like a Ukrainian.~

Same here, brother. I live in Kyiv, and speak and think in Russian, and I've never had any problems with that. Even on Euromaidan no one ever asked me why I speak Russian.

The most disgusting thing is that they are so stuck in this lie that they have learned not to think outside it. When the world saw photos and videos of the maternity hospital in Mariupol after the attack, on which wounded pregnant women were shot, people from Russia began to ask how much they were paid for setting this up and applying makeup. That is, they explain all the evidence of houses razed to the ground, killed and wounded people from the standpoint that this is all an imitation, using which Kyiv wants to deceive the whole world. They don`t ask questions why Ukraine needs this? Why nobody in the whole world went out to protest with the Russian flag in support of the actions of the Russian government? Why were more that million of Ukrainians forced to leave our country in just 2 weeks? And other questions that could open their eyes. The bitter truth is that Russian people feel comfortable to live in a lie. Living this way doesn`t make them think about all this shitty atmosphere and conditions most of their population are living in. They prefer the myth about Great Empire rather then doing something to actually make their country great.
Yeah, I saw that story with pregnant women. I was disgusted to see how people were acting and how they called that moment. But I'm not surprised at all to see such things coming from Russia. It's like sanctions against Russia. All hate from people comes to West, but can't realize that only Putin is responsible for it.
BTW, that women already gave birth to her daughter. Congratulations to her.

The main reason why Eastern European countries joined NATO was to have defence against Russia and we now have proof that it was a good choice.
I'm happy that my country is part of NATO, otherwise probably we would be part of Russia for a long time already. But I still have some fears that if Russia would do something against US, for NATO we would be too small and insignificant to start WW3.
2583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: March 13, 2022, 10:23:54 PM
Sociedad just scored, and they will probably win home match, as expected
all matches, except for Atletico on Friday, are under2.5, is this a moment to chase goals on Barca or what?

against Osasuna, there could be over3.5 or even over4.5, odds are not great, but I like to bet over statistics, and there is only one 3 goal match in this round so far
Now I can't find stats, but I think average number of goals in La Liga is lowest from all top 5 leagues, it's below than 2,5 goals. So, probably it's nothing surprising that we have another low scoring round.
But for Barca game, I made over 2,5 goals bet without thinking much. Odds for over 3,5 goals wasn't bad, but this time I decided better safe than sorry. I haven't saw such one-sided game for a while. It was good warm-up before decisive game with Galatasaray and El Clasico next week. I think our main players didn't got tired much today.

For me it's nothing more than poor scam attempt. First of all, begging isn't allowed here and it definitely don't looks like proper donation campaign.
And yeah, death threaths isn't allowed here, even if we talk about Putin. And I'm not really sure how donating money to random ''lawyer'' can help to take Putin off. Maybe he had to offer bounty for Putin's head.
2585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: March 13, 2022, 12:30:24 AM
I don't want to draw any conclusions from testing. It's difficult to talk about real potential of teams - they are hiding some things before the season. Though, Ferrari indeed looks impressive. What do you think about Hamilton words that in season start they aren't ready to compete for the wins? For me it looks like sandbagging, something similar like ''Bono, my tires is gone''
Can't believe that season starts next week, can't wait for it.
2586  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Could cracks be appearing on Putin's controlled state media on: March 13, 2022, 12:20:43 AM
It's indeed not common to see such things on Russian TV recently. Until now they all were saying that ''special military operation'' is going as planned. Does that message means something and it can be sign of cracks - I'm not sure about it. We already heard message from oligarchs like Deripaska, Fridman and some others to end war. But nothing didn't happened after it.
Yesterday I read report from Ukraine intelligence that from all main personalities in Russia, only Putin and Shoigu still strongly support war in Ukraine. But problem that they barely can go against Putin. He is surrounded by like-minded officials who support his actions and don't tell real cost of war.
2587  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Russia and Ukraine join hands...? on: March 12, 2022, 11:50:10 PM
Ukraine was simply the excuse, Putin doesn't want NATO next to his country, which was also a country that belonged in the Soviet Union, a large part of their territory is Russian and their citizens are Russian - speaking for the very same reason.

The war isn't going to stop anytime soon, unless Zelensky surrenders and meet Russia's demands, something which is currently highly unlikely. Putin will keep going till he gets what he wants, one way or another.
Well, Russia already have NATO next to their country - It's Poland and Baltic states. So, Ukraine wouldn't be different, but Ukraine becoming NATO members probably would hit Putin ambitions very hard because he don't consider Ukraine as independent country with their history.
And fact that big part of Ukraine people think and speak Russian doesn't makes them into Russians, you can ask some forum members about it. For example Kharkiv or Melitopol is cities where majority of people speak Russian, but nobody welcomed Russian troops with flowers there. Nobody don't want to have Russkiy Mir there.
2588  Other / Politics & Society / Re: There are 17000 anti-tank weapons in Ukraine on: March 12, 2022, 11:30:05 PM
And many still fighting there. These Syrian troops could die in Ukraine but this type of military allowance is opening the door for Ukraine to be the next Syria. We have seen how people with different believe and aim fought with each other in Syria. Now west and east are doing the same thing in Ukraine. Let's think that this war ended after another week but you really think all these different groups of mercenaries and terrorists will leave Ukraine so easily? They will use the soil of Ukraine and its instability to do damage in other EU countries. West just bring crocodiles by digging the tunnel.
Syrian troops in Ukraine just shows that things aren't going as planned for Putin. But they will fight not in their own land, it's not desert, they aren't used to fight in cold forests. Another problem for them is that they don't speak Russian. And also, even russians sometimes struggle to navigate in Ukraine, same can happen to Syrians.
Ukraine can become next Syria if Putin will continue to bomb cities, what already happened in Syria. While Russia is still claiming that they attack only military objects.
I'm not only sure why do you blame West for it. Because it's not that west send these Syrians to Ukraine.

putin has at least 3 million soldier at home, and his global support is growing while the global support of woke usa and woke EU is collapsing

this war is increasingly becoming a war between putin and the insane part of the western elite that supports every single jew no matter how corrupt they are (not orthodox jew)

but corrupt drug addicted comedians like Bill mar or Zelinski.

putin will win morally sooner or later and even israel will have to do a choice and start distinguishing between good and bad jews
So much lie in one post. I don't know why I still waste time responding to your post. I'm not sure from where you took 3 million soldiers when they have about 1 million active soldiers. But they can't send them all to Ukraine and leave other regions uncovered.
And I still can't understand how Zelensky can be jew and nazi at the same time.

When I saw this topic, I wanted to say that Bitcointalk is already blocked in Russia for long time already, but theymos was faster than me. To be precise, it happned in March 2020:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5235976.0
That tweet in OP was fake news, so far they aren't going to disconnect from global internet. So far they are just making big scale censorship. First they blocked all opposition websites and TV.  Then they started to block foreign websites, social networks like Facebook, Twitter. On Monday they'll block Instagram and most likely Youtube next week. But wouldn't be surprised if Cheburnet soon would turn into reality, considering in what direction Russia is going. They're turning into huge North Korea.
Many Russians is looking for VPN's now, problem that with not working Visa/MasterCard they can't pay for it. Bitcoin is one of few alternatives available.

It is quite clear to me that Russia is moving in the direction of more or less isolating itself from the EU, UK, US, and countries it considers hostile - but doesn't a complete internet outage do incalculable damage to their economy, far greater harm than any benefits of such insane isolation?
Offcourse it makes more damages than gives benefits. Actually, it's difficult to find benefits in complete isolation besides censorship. But it's difficult to find much logic in Russia actions now which is simply killing their economy.

Hey guys, need help! My father has been playing on freebitco.in for quite a while and in January he withdraw btc and as I understand they went to btc adress which was given to him in his profile. We don't know how to send them to another adress or even better how to exchange them for real money so I am asking for help about this!

Tnx!
I don't exactly understand your problem. Did your father withdraw money to BTC address which was added on his Freebitco.in profile, but it doesn't belongs to him? If yes, there is no way to retund these BTC. Or I missunderstood you? Have you tried to contact Freebitco.in support and explain your problem?
2592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Volleyball General Discussion on: March 11, 2022, 08:08:17 PM
I'm not sure from where you took list of competitions, but you haven't even included main tournament - CEV Champions league. Volleyball is quite big thing in Europe, offcourse, it's nowhere near to football in popularity, but in can compete with basketball or handball. Can't say that I follow these competitions very closely, but I turn it on sometimes or make few bets.
It's shameful that level of volleyball in my country is so low that now we don't have our nationasl team which would play in EURO or Wolrd cup qualifiers.
And from my experience, volleyball is one of best sports to play, either it's indoor or beach volleyballl. Also, there is another type of volleyball, haven't tried it yet Cheesy :

P.S you mentioned Hockey India league, do they really play ice hockey in India? It sounds exotic same as Jamaica bobsleigh team? Cheesy

I absolutely am not the biggest fan of "Chelski" this season, they've actually ruined five of my accumulators this year. One which actually did come in for 25k. Although, I'll still stick up for them, because the treatment they're receiving is as you put it; racist, and unfair. I get the UK government want to make it look like they're trying to hurt Russia as much as possible, without actually going to war with them, however I don't agree with the mass amount of seizures of normal people's assets either.
Abramovich isn't just ordinary normal person, he is an oligarch who is close to Putin and I don't think it's correct to say that these sanctions is racist. Abramovich already wanted to sell Chelsea, but now this proccess is on hold and it may hurt club seriously. I understand that government wanted to prevent from getting cash, but I think they had to let him sell club.
I agree that some sanctions looks just as attempt to make look that governments is doing something. It's questionable how it will hurt Putin's regime, but it definitely will hurt ordinary people who aren't most responsible for war. But all these sanctions looks so hypocrite when EU and UK continue to buy gas from Russia.
2594  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: March 11, 2022, 07:07:08 PM
Well, Russia indeed is Empire or Lies. They lost themselves in their lies.
Yesterday Russian Defense ministry announced that they didn't hit materniy hospital in Mariupol. It was staged operation by Ukraine:
https://www.ndtv.com/world-news/ukraine-russia-crisis-russia-says-mariupol-hospital-attack-staged-by-ukraine-2816202
But just some time later their foreign minister Lavrov confirmed that they attacked hospital in Mariupol intentionally because it turned into ''base of nationalists''

2595  Other / Politics & Society / Re: There are 17000 anti-tank weapons in Ukraine on: March 11, 2022, 06:30:31 PM
A big concern for me is the number of persons that will loose their lives for this cause, 17000 tanks, wow! Why not push for peace and an end to the conflict instead of the EU arming more persons in Ukraine to go to war. The war cannot go on for ever, so why not try to end it now rather than encouraging it to continue with 17000 anti tank weapons, This is an irregularity to me.
Ok, can you offer solution how to end war? Diplomacy, negotiations simply don't work because Russiaisn't willing to talk. Sanctions don't help much too. I think that EU isn't doing enough to help Ukraine, but sending weapons is still better than doing nothing and leaving Ukraine completely alone.

Most of these NATO weapons will be in hands of RF or their supported militia. Today I saw there are 16000 Syrian veterans coming to Ukraine by the side of Russia who has plenty of experience to deal with this western weapon. NATO is making Ukraine the next Syria.
Peoiple said same thing when Russia send chechen Kadyrovets troops, but many of them simply turned into meat in Ukraine.
2596  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Nano S Plus on: March 11, 2022, 05:10:30 PM
Well, €79 for Nano Plus S isn't bad price. Ok, it's a bit more with VAT and shipping, but still, somewhere in the middle between Nano Sand Nano X. Though, maybe it's not worth to compare in such way as we probably should count Nano S Plus as replacment for Nano S. IIRC, Nano S price in past was vsomewhat similar to €79 or maybe a bit bigger.

Btw, Nano S will be discontinued when their stock finishes at some point in either the middle or end of this year!
I'm curious, did they announced it officially? Did they said it during announcement livestream? Whole fact that they discontinue Nano S is not something unexpected, it had to happen sooner or later. Now it's only question for how long they will continue to support this device and give updates.
2597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: March 10, 2022, 10:06:44 PM
That moment when Barca fail to score at home against might Galatasaray. We had some good moments to score, but either there was bad luck or great save by Gala golakeeper Pena. It was great match for him and serious statement to return next season back to Barca. For Barcelona this result is negative, but not disaster.
Atalanta 3:2 Bayer, I said that it will be fun. After all, minimal loss for Bayer isn't something bad, considering that Atalanta controlled game.
Braga 2:0 Monaco. I think it's unexpected, but not something sensational.
Solid game from Sevilla, but they should be disappointed that they scored just 1 goal.
2598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa Conference League Discussion Thread on: March 10, 2022, 05:41:09 PM
My main bet for today is Slavia win against LASK @1.80. I see good value in this game. And I'' risk with small bets on Roma and Feyenoord wins.
Partizan is playing Feyenoord within Conference league, could be an easier opponent in this round, but what a heck, I think that we could kick them out

looking at sixteen teams in this phase, there is several that can win the competition, but there is no favorite, per se, Roma is probably best team here, with Marseille, Rennes and PSV in competition as well, good move from UEFA to have competition like this, for lower level clubs

Feyenoord is tough opponent, but not impossible to beat. Especially when in recent weeks they aren't playing very well and basically dropped out of title race in Eredivisie.
Good point about no clear favorite. Roma or Leicester is good on paper, but they're not playing like title contenders. Maybe I would go with PSV, then Marseille.
2599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: March 10, 2022, 05:25:37 PM
Sevilla - West Ham sounds very interesting, good that this game is on separate time slot. I count Sevilla as favorites, but not that confident that I would bet.
Barcelona - Galatasaray. This season I never been so confident in my team like now and I don't see much chances for Galtasaray. But I can't find good value bets for this game.
Atalanta - Bayer should be fun game to watch. My pick here is over 2.5 goals.
No idea about Braga - Monaco game. And good value for Rangers win against Crvena Zvezda, but this season I have not much faith in Rangers. After Gerrard left them it's not same team anymore.
2600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: March 09, 2022, 10:04:30 PM
Damn, Real - PSG, what game! What a performance from Benzema - impressive. And what a performance by Donarumma - such mistake in such important game. And how many goals from offside Mbappe have scored against Real? Don't know what to say.
City - Sporting, disappointed about City performance. Ok, they won first leg 5:0, but today they played with mainsquad and I expected another confident win.
