does anyone see tips going anywhere? I will trade 2 million tips for some DRK
Yes, it's going somewhere. Price is jumping up fast.

Also I conducted a small experiment.
I have asked 300 people hat they think of when you say fedora, or fedoracoin.
The answer shockingly was "I think of the hat"
I can honestly say only 6 out of 300 people even mentioned the neckbeard nonsense.
So just so everyone knows, the big marketing choice to change it to TIP's clearly had no real world research to it. You guys are just taking the coin and going in the direction YOU all feel is right. I started on this thread with constructive critisism but it was left unheard. Keep up the shit work. I hope when invisibel gets back he demolishes these nonsense plans leading to nowhere for days on end.
Normal people, I can believe this. Unfortunately, the crypto-currency community is full of 4chan users, 9gag users, and people like that. They only understand the meme. TIPS works.

Yep, definitely a time to buy. There was a 1000+ LTC buy walls just in the 30's this afternoon. Looks like some people are really buying it up.

who is this third party that does this anonymous transactions?
Someone who set's up a mixing node, which consist of 2 different servers that talk to each other (preferably in separate countries). There is a transaction fee for using anonymous transactions, the node gets these transaction fees. People say its centralized, however once you get numerous people using the anonymous transaction feature you are going to have a lot of people that setup nodes to collect fees as an alternative to mining.

Isn't this thing forked beyond repair? The pools I were using were resulting in orphaned blocks about 4 weeks back and I stopped mining them.
No. This issue was fixed using kimoto's gravity well. TiPS has always been a profitable coin to mine, so multi-pools would jump in all of the time introducing 7-10 GH/s to a normal 1 GH/s network which would drive up the diff. The next 10 blocks would take a long time for the 1 GH/s of dedicated miners to complete, then the diff would reset and the multi-pools would jump in again and eat up those 10 blocks fast then leave once the diff got high again. The gravity well was introduced at block 51000, part of the 0.56 update. Once the gravity well was in place, this issue became resolved and the transaction times became much faster as well. Also, it could of been the fault of the pool operator for not updating the wallet.

What about having a Q&A thread in the general section of Alternate Cryptocurrencies on this forum? Have someone who is technically savvy (probably a dev) answer the questions and explain the process. I see a few other coins have Q&A type threads in there. I feel like this post is the only thing that's advertising the mixer right now or explaining it. Get some flow charts going as well.

The devs need to update the wallet with the new name, logo, etc... so new users do not get confused.

There is no difficulty right now while mining No Coin!
You better jump in while it's good!

I like "The Internet Payment System".

I feel like PayPal is losing money by NOT adopting bitcoin sales. Once they recognize that the block chain is indeed proof of a transfer, and buyers cannot retract payments just because they feel like it and get away with it. Your talking 10's of millions in sales overnight if they adopted it.

Good work!
Cannot wait till it gets released.

You can probably pull off .1 to .15 BTC a day mining a multi-pool (mines the most profitable alt coin at the time automatically, then cashes out to BTC for you) with a $10k investment. Numbers are always changing everyday though... http://www.middlecoin.com/allusers.htmlClick on the "Paid Out" blue links on the right and you can see what some of these guys are making. Obviously you would need much more then $10k in hardware to be on the top of that list, but you get the gist.

I noticed that as well. Either way, today was an awesome day to be a miner.

It really comes down to the size of cards per manufacturer, my Asus R9 280x's take up 3 slots so I could only mount 2 on that board without risers. Risers are preferred. If you find 2 slot cards you can run them without risers, if they are not in a case. They will run somewhat hot though. They will be blowing hot air on each other, so make sure to have a box fan or something similar mounted behind them.
I hope the gist you get out of this is you should get some risers.

passive source of income easy to monitor and stabilize. Crypto-currency is the worst avenue of approach for this.

You need to setup multiple instances of MPOS, it will not support multiple coins.
You can go into templates/mpos/global and edit the navigation.tpl to add another link on the sidebar navigation to your other instance of MPOS mining another coin. However, accounts will not be shared across your pools. MPOS is open source, so you can feel free to try and link up your databases or write a script that will write to all of your databases at the same time when they register. I haven't seen it done but it would not be hard.

I am having issues with the new wallet , both the 'windows installer' version & the zip. Have tried 3 downloads of each, both giving problems. Known issue? Help? Advise? (win 7 Ult 64)
I had to uninstall it from add/remove programs then install 0.56 REMEMBER!! Backup your wallet first.
